We have all been on for heading up to 20mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health
most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it

And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did
Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots

I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.
To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely - and we are finding it def harder to keep weight off with lower doses

only 2 words to say 😂😂

Stayed the same at 8 stone 10 pounds. Have decided that i will have to live with those 5 pounds for a while as the only way I can lose is to cut down from 1250 to 1000 cals and it's not healthy for me at the moment with osteoporosis diagnosis and awaiting operation on my parathyroid. The stress of getting those 5 pounds isn't worth it. I am eating healthy, lots of protein, regular walking, a dance class and zumba class in between regular trips away. Still in size 8 and pretty good for my age! I am also going to stop feeling guilty about the cost of the jabs as life is too short ...heading into my 70's in July...i really don't feel that old and certainly don't act it 🤣🤣🤣

NippyNinjaCrab · 13/03/2026 09:14

@Azuresky68 you are gorgeous and amazing! Age is a number, you've been so focused on the 5lbs that maybe if you just accept your maintenance weight the pesky pounds will drop naturally. You are doing everything right, do you love how you feel and look at the moment?

Well done @Blondeshavemorefun and @FurForksSake ❤️

I have weighed in at 11st 12lbs so that is my starting weight. Xx

Azuresky68 · 13/03/2026 10:12

@NippyNinjaCrab thank you xx All the very best on your new start 😘

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/03/2026 12:04

Very wise @Azuresky68 and you may find now not stressing over it - it will come off here and there so do weigh weekly

you look fab - is the 5lbs over your top weight or included in it

good luck @NippyNinjaCrab for next week WWJ

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 13/03/2026 13:47

Measurements are still the same - and was last week. So where does the 4lbs gain go - tho now only 2 and bak in my ballpark so happier

Sometimes I need to remind myself how far I have come and 7s loss

the last 2 pesky pounds will take me back to 7s loss

@SilverSprings510 sorry to hear about dh's job, but it reminds me how much 'agency' we all have in this approach to weight loss and life. I know it is expensive (eye-wateringly so) but you don't have to negotiate with a doctor about whether you continue on a regime, or stop, or restart. And maybe, just maybe in the fulness of time, when things are settled and the stars align, we will all welcome your 'Augies' baby...

@Azuresky68 sometimes, even when the scales are not doing what I want them to do, I feel better and more alive and more energised just by doing a class, or (today) going on a brisk walk in the cold sunshine with a lovely friend. I'm in my 60's and this is a time to prioritise our health span - the years when we feel well and active. And also to get 'things' sorted - minor ops, major treatments, everything we can do. And just look at yourself - you are amazing! Healthier than you were 18 months ago, enjoying life, enjoying your new shape, enjoying how you wear your clothes, enjoying walking and dancing. Look around and see so many people in their 60s who can't do what you do and who don't feel like you do. For now, those 5 lbs are not the most important.

@Blondeshavemorefun WELL DONE, on doing whatever you had to do to get back in you comfortable zone. Of course you'd rather not pay so much but for the moment, that is what is working for you. Stick with it.

I took the bonus dose of my 2.5mg today, well actually 2.9mg because I didn't want to waste a drop! So now I have 3 weeks off. It would have been 4 weeks off but I have a holiday coming up in a warm place and it is just far too complicated to deal with MJ injections. So 3 weeks off, 5 weeks on the next pen, then 6 weeks off while on holiday. The mid June weigh-in will be interesting!

Ach... us old retired ones, with time to be away! It's our campervan retirement dream.

PoemsForTea · 14/03/2026 06:17

@Azuresky68 That was lovely to read your shift in mindset. Not that my opinion matters in the slightest but it's a much healthier approach - dance on lady, I am delighted for you 🙂

Hi everyone!

I can’t remember what number thread I last posted on, it’s been so long but glad to find you all again. I’m going to go and find the previous thread and catch up but:

I stopped MJ at 13st to TTC. Maintained that for 6/7 months but DH got made redundant so we’re on hold for TTC til Julyish. Went back on MJ and now 11st10 (weigh in tomorrow). Have just stayed on 5 this time as just wanted to kick start my weight loss after a break. Lost 7.5st in total since we started!

Will be stopping MJ again after this pen but wanted to check in.

So good to hear from you! That's a pretty inspirational journey 👏

Morning @SilverSprings510 July will soon be upon us and we will all be the Auggies Aunties ❤️❤️

NippyNinjaCrab · 14/03/2026 07:41

@20bloodypounds where are you adventuring too with your hot wheels? We also have the CV dream, it's still a little nugget of hope at the moment because we have been saving for other life things, but we still have that attainable goal. My hairdresser is a young late 20's and she renovated a van evening's and weekends and they both have the most versatile little van to bomb about in. They go away most weekends and always for 4 weeks a year driving abroad. They love to hike and climb.
We live in such a beautiful country. Xx

SilverSprings510 · 14/03/2026 08:20

Morning all! Weighed yesterday, I’m now 11st8 ✨ still a way to go until normal BMI (I’m very short) but I think I’m looking good so I’m happy.

re: DH redundancy, it all worked out well in the end. He was only off work for 10 days before he started his new job, so didn’t even touch his payout. We’ve just bought a new house too so all exciting in our house.

NippyNinjaCrab · 14/03/2026 09:19

Thats fabulous news @SilverSprings510 and yay for the weight in. And DH job xx

Would anyone like a Gousto offer for 70% off a first box and 40% second and 25% for boxes 3 to 8?
I've started it and my friend gave me a link. They are doing a 50% off first box which is fab but my first box for 2 people x 5 meals was £15!
My friend has reported back the quality is brilliant. I have 3 codes to give. Xx
