We have all been on for heading up to 20mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health
most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it

And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did
Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots

I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.
To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely - and we are finding it def harder to keep weight off with lower doses

only 2 words to say 😂😂

What’s berberine. Know I could google but cba😂

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 20/04/2026 22:16

It’s a supplement that apparently increases glp receptors or something in your cut. It’s a natural alternative to mj. I’m not sure how good the evidence is, but it’s natural and it isn’t harmful. He takes tart cherry capsules to help with him gout and plant sterol capsules for cholesterol and both those have really helped. We love a supplement.

When I looked at my scales app it told me I’ve gained muscle. So hopefully that’s a little bit of my gain. I’m going to try and stick to 1000 calories for two weeks and hopefully I’ll be back to my target.

Jellybelly80 · 20/04/2026 22:34

Inositol is another Berberine type supplement.

Both have been mentioned to me by my son in law who’s a GP with a special interest in obesity and preventative medicine.

Morning! 2lbs back off. So 4lbs over target.

Lookiny forward to my avocado, cucumber, pomegranate, feta, chick pea and chicken salad for lunch.

ive got a cardiac monitor on and it’s so itchy! Hoping to go for a lunchtime walk today too.

NippyNinjaCrab · 21/04/2026 08:15

Morning, that's salad sounds fabulous @FurForksSake
My weekend gardening did my unused muscles the world of good! I also went an extra road walk last night at teatime. I have a class to attend tomorrow that is for women with mobility restrictions. I am hoping its good because I need it. The location and time suits too.

FurForksSake · 21/04/2026 08:25

@NippyNinjaCrab that sounds brilliant! I love the sound of that class.

chatgpt has put me a plan together to build my fitness for walking in snowdonia in summer without flaring my hip up. It’s very useful!

NippyNinjaCrab · 21/04/2026 08:35

Oh that is a great idea! I'm using it for ny garden and it has been great so far.

The class is low impact aerobic, some piliates style core work and has the option of using hand weights if wanted. The instructor has regular classes solely for pilates and different levels. This class is a new one she is trying out. The times will always be 2pm weekdays which suits me because I can do the mutts in the morning and I usually crash and burn around 3-4 so a later class would finish me off for a couple of days 😂 xx

FurForksSake · 21/04/2026 10:47

I have returned to bloody work. I wish I could do exercise classes during the day as they appear more geared to my level!

NippyNinjaCrab · 21/04/2026 10:50

Are you FT? Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/04/2026 10:51

Fab you lost some of the gained weight @FurForksSake

happy classing @NippyNinjaCrab

Yes, I’ve got to finish my postgrad or stop coping with full time and then I can go back to four days.

FurForksSake · 21/04/2026 11:02

8st6 feels much better than 8st8, I feel much calmer being the right side of 8st7!

ive had a protein rice pudding for breakfast, salad for lunch and then it’ll be tacos for dinner. Lots of veg and lean mean, light on the cheese and other bits.

NippyNinjaCrab · 21/04/2026 11:32

Sounds good, how long till you finish that @FurForksSake

I need to attend for my MH too @Blondeshavemorefun I feel i am always stuck doing mundane things because of the fatigue. I am making an effort to pace 😀

I have been having the usual bran flakes for breki and then some chicken breast, apple and tangerine for lunch and a protein clear whey mix. I dont feel hungry I need to drink much more water. Im sure I read somewhere that milk was more hydrating than water but I've probably made that up 😂😂😂😂
I do need to get back to yoghurt but its giving me the 🤢 at the moment. I do have full fat milk and berries, seeds and nuts with bran flakes. X

FurForksSake · 21/04/2026 13:01

I finish next march. It should have been this march but due to ill health I couldn’t!

dressing was 0% skyr yoghurt, pesto and lemon. It was so nice! The little pops of pomegranate were a great element.

NippyNinjaCrab · 21/04/2026 13:44

I had my usual but added some soft cheese called Skinny Crowdie it was delish. It is made in a dairy from the Highlands. X

Having a chronic illness and more is so restrictive, I honestly take my hat off to you. I was contemplating starting an OU degree in forensic psychology. I did a taster years ago when I was FT and I wish I had done it then but they moved the next course too far for me to make it after work then. X

MabelSpan · 21/04/2026 14:10

And I am back!

I have been on a really low dose since Christmas and yesterday I finally got my backside in gear and upped my dose to the heady high dose of 4mg!
My goodness, I had completely forgotten how horrid those shivery goosepimples are, they are driving me mad!
Oh to be a sensitive little flower and an MJ lightweight! 😫

NippyNinjaCrab · 21/04/2026 14:15

@MabelSpan ah my wee lightweight buddy is back 😂 this time around i am sticking to 2 5mg xx

I dont blame you Nippy! Us lightweights must stick together, its a dangerous game this MJ malarky😂

NippyNinjaCrab · 21/04/2026 14:41

😂😂😂😂

WorriedRelative · 21/04/2026 16:58

Hey everyone, thanks to those who congratulated me on the results of my health check, it was really encouraging to get the results.

In the meantime I have started HRT, I was quite worried about the impact this would have on maintenance but so far so good. Weight does fluctuate daily but as long as I am under 69kg most days that's fine. The HRT is helping with various issues I was having so generally all good with me.

Glad to see everyone still on here updating

MabelSpan · 21/04/2026 17:40

HRT is my best friend. I will never give it up!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/04/2026 18:56
