hi, I thought I would start a new group. I am waiting for my medical review before being issued with my first dose

I took my first dose yesterday. I feel a bit nauseous today. I’ve not had any chocolate yet today which is a big improvement on normal.

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 26/03/2026 14:12

Fourth jab last night. Next pen will be 2.5 again. Lost 2.3 kg last week, for a total of 5.8kg since first jab. BMI now under 40 which is the first big landmark for me!

Can I join? Started v end of Feb. I am eating so much less but loss is slow. 4lbs in 4 weeks. I'm trying to see that as a positive, I just lost 4lb after all, but it's hard and a bit disheartening. A month in and nothing visible. I keep telling myself that 1lb a week is 52lbs a year, a phenomenal loss so I just need to accept it. I just want a moment where I see it, something to motivate me. There is definitely a slight placebo effect, I feel more confident now and I wore trousers the other day that I normally feel are too tight. I thought they looked good and thought maybe I'd lost a lot around the thigh area. Then the scales today told me otherwise! But I'm proud of myself for wearing them and I feel the day will come when they will be too loose and ill drop a size and I'm really excited for that day.

End of week 2 and weigh in day today which was disappointing only 1lb down I lost 8lb in the first week. I have drank alcohol but have been sticking to around 1000 cals a day other than that. I know these things fluctuate and seeing that everyone is getting different results is reassuring that I’m not doing anything too wrong. I’m very impatient also!

9lbs in 2 weeks is amazing! You just had false expectations. It might be worth maybe weighting fortnightly?

Pinkroom · 26/03/2026 16:02

Day 4 for me today and this afternoon I'm starting to feel a bit hungry which I haven't felt at all yet so I assume it's just the medication slowly wearing off? Trying not to panic about feeling hungry is odd!

Darkspiderplant · 26/03/2026 16:04

I ate a very small cheese toastie for lunch and had a can of Diet Coke and I felt so full and bloated afterwards and my stomach has been sore ever since.

helloworld88 · 26/03/2026 17:24

Non scale victory for me today when I realised it’s been a good few days since my knees hurt!

have you taken measurements to see if you’ve lost that way? Good way to check as it doesn’t always show on the scale.
4lbs in 4 weeks is great, it works differently for everyone so don’t be disheartened

That’s a great result! Well done!

HolyMoly24 · 26/03/2026 20:52

NSV today, discovered I can zip my coat up easily again without it being clearly too tight across my bum/hips. Woohoo 🎉

taratill · 26/03/2026 21:54

Dumb question, what does NSV stand for?

Well done on the coat by the way!

Seriestwo · 26/03/2026 22:18

I’m 4 jabs in, all 2.5 and I’ll keeep on it. I’m 10lb down which is amazing. I’m consirpated but the side effects are ok. I’m newly 60 and need to get my life long obesity under control. Might as well try this

Seriestwo · 26/03/2026 22:19

I LOVE the idea of a nsv!

@Seriestwo @Dontlletmedownbruce Great going! We will all get there.

@HolyMoly24 I do love an nsv! Cold here today so a good day to snuggle up in a coat.

Dontlletmedownbruce · 26/03/2026 23:39

@MoneyJo I'm not sure daily weighing is a good idea, I would think it will cause you to overthink and stress about it. As for the no loss, I don't have the answer but I can tell you I was up 1lb on week 3 (weekly weigh in) I was furious and felt like giving up whereas the previous week I was a few lbs down and buzzing although my behaviour was the same both weeks. I cannot fathom where that extra lb came from, it was fat not water weight because I get a body scan at a clinic. Im eating about half the calories i used to, 1lb fat is supposed to be 3,500 calories so how the hell did that happen. It just goes to show for overweight people the calorie in v out calculations don't make sense.

ShebaQueen · 27/03/2026 07:20

Well done everyone on your losses, imagine how much we have lost in total!
Weigh day for me and I am down 6 kilos in 4 weeks, delighted with that, although I did lose the most in the first 2 weeks, it's slowed since.
Starting my second pen tonight - another 2.5, has anyone gone up to 5 yet? I am definitely ordering 5 for my next pen, although am concerned about side effects. It's 4 weeks away anyway, and I am focussing on one week at a time

MoneyJo · 27/03/2026 07:37

If anyone is looking to order 5mg I just did it through med express as it came up cheaper on the comparison site. It said I would get £50 off first order but it actually took £66 off and I only paid £124 for the pen.

Planning to do 3.75 so should get 5 doses out of this.

MumofOne28 · 27/03/2026 11:47

Here is a click guide- i am thinking of getting 5mg next and doing smaller doses to make it last longer x

It’s great to read about everyone’s losses, it’s making me think I’ve done the right thing by going on mounjaro. Even if it takes a long time, it will work.

I weigh myself every day, I find it helps keep me on track generally. I have lost 0.5lb since my injection on Wednesday. I’m currently tracking everything I eat using my fitness pal.

Behealthy2026 · 27/03/2026 12:11

I'm keeping myself accountable on here. Weigh in on Wednesday , 2lbs off which I'm pleased. I have an operation in 2 weeks so that was my last injection for now. Also had a couple of evenings out so need to be careful and keep on track.

OP posts:
MoneyJo · 27/03/2026 12:19

That's great @Behealthy2026 I've only lost 1lb this week.

Dontlletmedownbruce · 27/03/2026 13:04

I just mindlessly ate about 6 mini eggs at work today. So cross with myself. I totally forgot myself. Ironically even before I started WLIs I was supposed to be on a plan anyhow so there is no excuse for me. I really really need a good week because the next week I'm on a city break and even with effort it's not going to be a good week for loss.
