It’s jab day! it’ll be another “golden dose” for me - not sure if the new pens I’ve ordered will have it. But weight loss has slowed massively and suppression is almost gone so I’m looking forward to going up a dose and not losing my progress. still have another 10kg to go - always the most difficult to lose!

SW 1/1/26 - 93.3kg
Jan (2.5mg) 86.5kg -6.8kg
Feb (5mg) 82.5kg -4kg
March (5mg) 79.4kg -3.2kg
MJ13 (5mg) 1/1/26 - 79kg -0.4kg
GW: 68kg
Total loss: -14.3kg

Great losses there @thisamusedpoet!
Weigh in day here too. After another weekend of partying, up drinking till all hours, eating out and not excersing, I was delighted to see a 0.5kg loss this morning, scraping my weight into the 60s (69.7kg), and the 10 stone bracket.
SW: 81.5kg
CW: 69.7kg
TW: 60kg (maybe, maybe a bit more, well see)

Feeling great, loads of energy, enjoying my food and exercise, fitting well in my clothes, got loads of compliments over the weekend away with a big group of mates. All good plodding along here

I've decided to start taking collagen . I can't have the most used bovine collagen as I don't eat meat but have just tried my first scoop of marine collagen powder which was actually ok and didn't taste fishy at all . It is £25 though so I don't know if that's more expensive as bovine , thats for just less than a month's worth .

@Hotfirewood I’m the same height as you and my goal weight is more than your current weight! I was a size 10/12 at 11.5 stone but that was 14 years ago so I guess I will see what I look like when I get there. Def can’t imagine being under 10 stone! Well done for the new stone bracket

HollywoodTease · 01/04/2026 23:48

Congrats Hotfirewood 🎉 nearly time to start thinking about maintenance?

Hotfirewood · 02/04/2026 08:01

Thank you all!! I’m glad we’re on this journey together 🥰

It was lovely getting dressed for work this morning. Clothes fit better, I feel better…and the sun is shining 😂

@HollywoodTease I’ve given zero thought the maintenance, so that’s a good point!! I think it will take me another 9 weeks to get to goal weight.

I’ll start thinking about what next! I refuse the go back to a size 14 or 16 again. I was miserable!! Hopefully being back in my pre-baby clothes (now with no pnd or sleepless nights!!) will keep me in track 🙏

Hettar · 02/04/2026 16:18

Congrats @Hotfirewood

My weekly update. Just completed week 12 on 2.5 mg

SW: 17 st 8lbs
CW: 14 st 13 lbs
GW: 12 st

Another 3 lbs loss this week. I'm quite surprised as I've been increasing my protein intake and calories. It's a great feeling being 14 stone something.

I've also decided I need new clothes, I'm drowning in my old clothes. I'm going to pop to the shops tomorrow and buy some new outfits. I usually hate clothes shopping as I look like the Jabber the Hut in everything. It'll be different this time as I look much better than I did before.

FrothyCothy · 02/04/2026 18:25

Jab 13 for me this week- was away for a few days and ate too much but only 0.7kg up on the scales this morning so hoping that will come back down.

cautiouslyoptimistic3 · 03/04/2026 09:24

So will be jab 10 later. My experiment of 1.25 mg has worked in reducing side effects. But I have stayed the same/gained a little this week. Well it did drop down to a low weight one day then went up again. Have been a bit too much off plan this week due to meals out - couple of pastries have snuck in. I have also been on a 8 day gap between jabs. Plan is to increase up to 1.87mg today (halfway between 1.25 and 2.5). Part of the reason for pushing to 8 days was also to accommodate an event in a few weeks time - I want to time the jab to after the event not just before. Will review this week and if 1.87 doesn’t get things going then may move up to 2mg. Feel a bit frustrated but need to remember to be patient. And hope that I can get back to the rate I was before while managing the side effects.

Onbdy · 03/04/2026 11:16

Another 2 pounds off this week, 30.5 in total. I have just jabbed but have felt hungry for the first time in weeks. I’m wondering if it might be time to increase my dose for the next pen. I’ll see how this week goes.

2026istheyear2 · 03/04/2026 11:23

2 pounds off this week - will stay on 3.75 for jab 14 later. Am 1.5 pounds off a 3 stone loss and also getting under BMI 30 so fingers crossed for next week!

Perianth · 03/04/2026 23:53

What have your experiences of telling other people been like?

I don’t want to lie about taking MJ, and I’m generally quite an open person, but I’ve just been asked fairly directly for the first time and I fudged it and now I feel weird.

I don’t want to feel ashamed for doing this for my own health and wellbeing! It probably the kindest and most significant act of self-care I’ve done for years. I bloody love this drug, it’s changed my life for the better and want to feel like I can share that. But the internalised fat-shaming runs deep.

HollywoodTease · 04/04/2026 00:50

I've been quite open about it.

I mean I don't go around yelling it from the rooftops but if people ask I tell them.

To be honest though, a lot of people in my social circle are also on them. My (male) boss is prescribed Mounjaro for diabetes. My sister and my niece are both on wegovy. I can name probably 10 other people in my regular social circle who are doing one or the other. I know of 2 people personally who are buying terzrpatide (Mounjaro) from what I consider to be dodgy sources.

It seems to be very common in my demographic.

I'm not ashamed, I'm delighted to be losing weight with WLI and I don't really care who knows it.

BeWildPearlFish · 04/04/2026 10:10

I love reading these posts, always so positive!

SW 13 st
CW 11 st 1.5lb
GW 10 st

I weighed this morning and 3lb down, I didn't feel it in myself andwasn't expecting the scales to change, so its been a good start to the day.

Some of my colleagues have mentioned that I've lost weight, but haven't asked directly about WLI. I've been putting it down to no bread, no alcohol and more gym. All true but its a half story

Hettar · 04/04/2026 12:34

@HollywoodTease

I'm very open with my friends and family. They all know I'm on this journey and I'm trying to convince my brother to start as well.

It's different with work. No one's really mentioned the weight loss but that's probably because they've seen me yo yo up and down. They're too polite to say anything.

I do know what you mean about being a bit unsure about mentioning it to acquaintances . There's still a stigma attached to it.

If you're unsure just say your sticking to your New Year's resolution this year.

glutenisthedevil · 04/04/2026 14:59

Just checking in. Another 2.5lbs off this week taking me to 34lbs overall.

@Perianthonly my husband knows that I'm using WLI. I did tell a couple of friends and colleagues in the beginning because I was having bad symptoms but they think I've stopped now and that I was only taking them to give myself an initial boost. I don't know why I've chosen to keep it quiet; it's just such a personal thing and I guess I don't want the judgement or all eyes being on me. I feel like it's my business and no one else's as to how I'm losing weight. When people comment on my weight loss I tell them that I'm being careful and tracking everything, which isn't a lie as I'm doing exactly that.

Has anyone noticed any loose skin from weight loss? I'm not as young as I used to be and I've noticed that the skin at the top of my thighs isn't snapping back this time. Obviously, I'd rather be slimmer and healthier with some loose skin than the alternative! Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing the same?

Hotfirewood · 04/04/2026 19:06

Only DH knows I’m using MJ. I’m actively keeping it a secret from everyone else. My colleagues know I’ve swapped lunch for Huel Lite shakes and I’m working out more than before. It will be a magical transformation 😂

@glutenisthedevil 24lbs down and I haven’t noticed loose skin yet. I’ve been religious about taking collagen powder and eating/drinking protein. May have helped, or may be a placebo 😆

glutenisthedevil · 05/04/2026 10:35

@Hotfirewood I've been taking collagen for about a year and have seen great results with my hair and nails, and I eat loads of protein every day, but sadly I think my skin has been stretched too much.

CatNoBag · 05/04/2026 18:00

@Perianth - I haven't told a soul outside of this forum. My husband wasn't keen on it when I mentioned I was thinking about it last year, so that's the main reason as it isn't something he can understand. He's never had issues with his weight, and doesn't like the idea of injecting yourself with something that to him feels like a very new drug - he's all for vaccines etc, but wary of putting something into your body that doesn't feel necessary, or not necessary to him at least. I do feel a bit bad though when he mentions how amazingly I'm doing, and managing it without the jabs!

I also can't be bothered to argue with people or feel their judgment and it's nobody's business but mine really. I've lost weight before doing pretty much what I'm doing now - diet and exercise - so it isn't my first time round suddenly making an appearance looking much slimmer (I see my family and friends sporadically as I don't live in the same area). Everyone knows I'm on a severe diet and not drinking, watching every morsel I eat + doing a lot of exercise, so it isn't so unexpected, but I'm sure a fair few will put 2 and 2 together... nobody has outright asked me yet anyway!

Hotfirewood · 05/04/2026 18:20

Saw my stepmother earlier and she was probing about how I’ve lost weight. I gave her my protein shake and workout line.

She always wants to lose weight. She said she “might look at those weight loss jabs” and I replied “oh, someone I work with is on those, I’m not sure about it all, they’re quite new aren’t they” 😂

CatNoBag · 05/04/2026 18:40

@glutenisthedevil - I don't think I've got any specific to this time round, though I've probably got some from historic yo-yoing! Mostly at the top of my legs I think😐. After the first week or so, my weight loss has been around 2 to 2.5lbs a week, so not too drastic, I'm hoping that helps. I know I need to moisturize more, but I'm always in a rush after a shower! I do wonder how my belly will deal with it when that eventually starts to flatten properly (always the last thing to go). It's the most mishappen thing about me after multiple surgeries in the last few years, and if I do have any extra skin, that's where it's likely to be, but hopefully safely tucked in to my massive M&S knickers (even if I get down to goal weight, I'm keeping the big knickers)!
