I started 12 months ago and have lost exactly 7 stone.

I am a size 8 and started this journey a very unhappy size 18!

Its not necessarily dangerously fast. 1% loss of bodyweight a week is healthy. People have it drummed into them that 1-2lb but it isnt the same for someone who is 25st say compared to some who is 12st. 1% of 25st is 3.5lb. A dramatic lifestyle change with regards to diet and exercise could easily nean weight drops quickly but in a healthy way. Plus many people lose 10+lb in the first week, even without the jabs, when I went to weight watchers years ago regularly people lost 10/11lb in a week.

I was 12st to start with on 1st Nov, I lost 9lb in 1st 2 weeks, then have lost on average 2lb a week since. I was BMI 28 to start with and now 23.8. I think it looks a lot as it is hard to consistently eat in a calorie deficit for long periods. If I had been a lot heavier then I imagine I would have lost more. I have lost 32lb now, have 11ish to go. I am so grateful for the jabs.

That poster said they had lost 3 and had 3 more to lose so your example of % body weight of a 25 stone person is completely irrelevant.

Well done everyone. So many great losses and I’m so happy for you all.

Sadly my loss is not quite as magnificent at just over a stone in 12 months. Gone from size 20 to 18 but it’s taken me from pre diabetic to no longer pre diabetic. I feel and look so much better so I don’t want to stop but quite disappointed obviously.

Not sure where I’m going wrong but don’t get much suppression and no real side effects other than a bit of heartburn. Just unlucky I guess.

how many calories do you eat? ive lost almost 7 n half stone since march and dont get much suppression but i do use nutracheck to calories count and watch every thing i eat. maybe calorie count for a few weeks to get a feel for what you should eat and go from there.

@maincharacterenergy Brilliant that you’re no longer pre-diabetic! And you say you look and feel so much better! Do you think that’s from the stone you lost or from the pre-diabetes being fixed?

Thanks for reply. To be honest I don’t really calorie count and probably should.
I feel like every time I cut down I get a few pounds loss then it stalls again and I have to cut down some more. Perhaps a few weeks of calorie counting will show where I’m going wrong.

Thanks I’m really pleased about no longer being pre diabetic and it’s the main reason I carry on with the medication.
I think I feel better from the weight loss but would love to lose more. I’m still over 15 stone and only 5’3” so it’s disappointing.

By the way. Fantastic result!! you’ve done so well, especially without suppression.

6 stone July 24 - Sept 25. BMI 36.9 down to 20.3. Maintained with some fluctuations since.

Kazzaa46 · 31/01/2026 19:28

2 stone 4lb for me in 4.5 months. Still on 5mg. Not working as well as it was and averaging 0.5lb week lately with a lot of stalls but I don’t want to increase as I only want to lose about another 9lb.

That is how it works though. To start with (2 stone ago) over 1300 woukd give me a loss, now I need 1000. If you calculate your TDEE ad take iff 250 cals for each half lb you want to lose then that's the amount you should have. You can only lose if you're in a calorie deficit. You do need to keep checking your TDEE. My maintenance calories are only around 1400 so if I didnt count I could easily be over that especially if my appetite wasnt suppressed. The medication doesnt make you lose weight if you're not in a deficit.
