Week 3 of weight and no weight loss

i’m bit concerned!! Have done 3 jabs now of .25 and although the ‘food noise’ has gone and I am definitely eating way less than I was before, I’m doing more exercise (started the gym etc) I haven’t lost any weight. Today for the first time since starting I have started craving snacks this evening and ate some crisps and chocolate. I don’t want to go down that slippery slope again!!
have ordered the 0.5 injections which should be with me soon. Should I forget dose 4 of 0.25 (I think I wasted some of it in the original pen as I absent minded twisted it before I put the needle in day of my first jab as I didn’t know what I was doing. I did then twist it round to .25 so not sure if I have myself extra that fist time which would leave less for the last one. ) and go onto .5 if the .25 isn’t stopping the snacking? Am gutted as had hope this would help and I’m not sure why I have t lost any weight as I’ve not eaten anywhere near the amounts I usually do. Have also changed my diet so it’s 99% good stuff! I am aware that muscles weigh more than fat and that o might be toning up but I do t think I’ve done enough in that area to make a difference.

Any ideas on what to do from now? Thanks.

Don’t you think it’s better to get into the habit now for when you come off?

I don’t plan on coming off them.
if I was then I guess my plan would to just stick with what I’m eating now since it’s enough to maintain my weight as it is.

Even if you're not fussed on tracking calories its worth it just to see what your macros are. High protein, low(ish) carbs etc. I lose more when I have a good balance, esp if my fibre has been closer to target also.

Weighing portions also, I have mention this on MN before but when I did WW, a couple of much larger ladies were not losing weight at all but said they were within their 'points'. The leader asked them to bring in examples of their portions and one of them had logged their cereal as being 30g when it was 4 times that amount, also logging a jacket potato as 150g when it was significantly heavier.

Most of the issue with putting on weight is the volume of food really. If I opened biscuits before it would mean I ate 6+, whereas if I had just took 1 or 2 I probably wouldn't have had to go on the jabs.

The body processes alcohol at 1 UNIT per hour… not one drink. Not unless it’s a 25ml spirit and mixer. A standard glass of wine takes just over 2 hours, a 250ml glass takes 3 hours. So you’ve misunderstood or misrepresented that aspect already.

And I never said that moderate drinking causes a big or lasting hormonal response but one drink does stimulate cortisol production. Alcohol is a toxin/stressor and even one glass might activate the HPA Axis to release a spike of cortisol.

And yes I am passionately anti-alcohol as I honestly think it is shit for health. But as I’ve said, it’s personal choice. If you think I’m exaggerating then that’s your prerogative.

“Passionately anti-alcohol”. I think that sums up your views.

I mean yes it does but it is a tiny minimal impact and really is dependent on context ie if someone is a heavy drinker or not.

i think it’s ok to be passionately anti alcohol, but best to try to calm down a little and give balanced responses, otherwise credibility goes and it looks like pure hysteria,

Yes. I could easily eat a whole packet of biscuits before I was on MJ.

I've often marvelled at how thin people can just eat one, then leave the rest.
🤣
