I will have to resort to putting the oven on ,and standing in front of it 🙄

I do love it when I'm cooking and I open the oven door. It's such a treat.

I'm currently sitting watching the telly and doomscrolling on MN

I'm wrapped in my electric throw with my thick mittens on. Inside the mittens are my hand-warmers. They are charged every few days, then reinserted into the mittens.

I take the mittens off to post on here obvs.

I'm one who's always been a cold one, so I've noticed no difference on the jabs as I was always freezing anyway!

Must say the thought of returning to chilly Scotland has me shivering!

PearlTeapot · 27/01/2026 21:07

I also use Shotsy and find it very good.

Sorry to those of you struggling. @eibbed999 I think moving up a dose will help hopefully? You'll know if you do the 2.5 jab and it makes a difference.

What's the best measure yourself at home bra website that lots of you have spoken about? I thought I might try it out when I get home. DW will die of shock seeing me in a bra instead of the sloggi 'bras' I usually wear!

Iwouldratherbesinging · 27/01/2026 22:17

@PearlTeapot I tried the boob or bust web site (there’s a Facebook group with lots of tips), the band size worked but my boobs certainly busted out of the recommended cup size, the other one is ‘a bra that fits’ I’m going to try them out next and see if they give me a different size

TragicMuse · 27/01/2026 22:36

The simplest way to measure is this:

Measure your underbust - where the band would sit. Do this already wearing a bra but make sure the tape is under the bra you’re wearing

Make the tape measure snug but not tight.

Then measure your full bust - basically around your whole bust, keep the tape more or less central and as straight as you can across the bust in line with your nipples and around your back.

Each inch difference between the two is a cup size.

I’m currently a 36” band and a 41” full bust. That’s a 36F.

You can go for sister-sizes - up a back size but down a cup or vice versa. So 34G or 38E. Lots of my old bras are 38E and are fitting at the moment, on the tightest hooks.

EnterSandfan · 27/01/2026 22:42

I've always been cold as well so not noticed a difference on the jabs, I'm a real wimp for cold. I've genuinely always believed humans are meant to hibernate in winter, when you think how many people get seasonal depression in winter and how we all want stodgy foods. If only we could hibernate for a few months 😆

TragicMuse · 28/01/2026 07:31

I’ve been in a stall for 2 weeks. It’s just frustrating because I’m sticking to my plan and am in a calorie deficit - I track everything. I hate it when this happens it feels so defeating.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 28/01/2026 07:40

Start of week 4 for me. I lost 1.9 kg this week.

Height: 158 cm
SW: 129.4 kg
CW: 120.5 kg
Total loss: 8.9 kg

I'll be staying on 2.5 mg as 8.9 kg in 3 weeks is more than enough..

Missingducks · 28/01/2026 07:41

Also hovering at 20stone 2 and I had so thought I would be 20 stone by end of 2025 but all month this 1-3 lbs has been following me around attached to my thighs of course. I have tried shocking it with different foods, tried changing the dose a bit, tried new batteries in the scales. DH says it's winter and body is holding on for it for hibernation. But it feels like the waste of £250 of pen this month. Grrr.

MCR24 · 28/01/2026 07:58

I haven't lost this week so unless any shifts over night that's a no change this week, I've not eaten the best but stuck to OMAD so could have been worse I suppose.

I bought new bras yesterday from Primark which is where the ones I've been wearing are from, so I just picked the same one in many different sizes and hoped for the best.

Missingducks · 28/01/2026 08:01

DH has just said I don't like to cross things off my to do list and hadn't explained to my body that 20stone is an interim goal not final goal ...

Your DH could be right .
It is indeed frustrating

GnomeDePlume · 28/01/2026 09:24

I think it is a winter thing. Not full hibernation but eating whatever food is available because in growing terms we are in the 'hungry season'. Damn all to harvest.

Having tasty, appealing food, easily available all year round is very recent. The people who could eat a bit more of whatever was available and put down fat survived winter, disease, childbirth.

On a different thread a PP described herself as coming from the stock who needed to be able to stand in a gale holding down the roof of the bothy with one hand and a sheep under the other arm. Being of north British stock, I liked the imagery.

TheZingyFish · 28/01/2026 11:57

I’m struggling a bit at the moment, I’ve been on 7.5mg since the begging of September and have lost 2st in 22 weeks having lost 4st on the previous 20 week. It doesn’t appear to be having the same impact but I don’t know whether this is due to a bit a lack of routine over Christmas and taking things for granted but I’m eating more as a “treat” if I go out but previously I wouldn’t be able to eat more. I’ve been reluctant to go up to 10mg due to the extra cost, my provider would be just over £300 for 10mg and that is a lot!

I’m considering changing provider but due to having had issues with pancreatitis triggered by gall stones and consequently having my gall bladder removed nearly 20 years ago, some providers won’t prescribe to me. My doctor’s surgery are aware and I spoke to the nurse before considering Mounjaro so it is safe for me.

I have been finding that my weight is bouncing up and down a bit and has been since the end of October but on an overall downward trend. I guess I’m missing the initial boosts that I got at the start on 2.5mg and then when I moved up to 5mg.

I think it might be time to switch providers and go for 10mg. Sorry, am thinking out loud.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 28/01/2026 12:11

@TheZingyFish

You'll get a 10mg pen for much, much less than £300 when you change providers. They'll give you a new customer discount on most of them.

If I were you I'd just not mention the pancreatitis. If your own doctor says it's okay for you to have MJ don't muddy the waters........

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 28/01/2026 12:20

Also @TheZingyFish your weight loss will slow down, the longer you're on a diet.
Everyone's does.
That's normal and to be expected.

I lost 16lb in my first week and another 6lb the second. That was water weight, of course, but I was really fed up when I only lost 3lb in my third week 🤣

Gradually it all slowed down, of course.

I always say that as long as the trend is downwards, all is well.

I've been stalling, then losing, for many months. That's also normal.

My loss now averages at half a pound a week (so 2lb a month). I'm not expecting it to be any faster at this stage. I'm almost at my goal now.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 28/01/2026 12:28

I've reached an exciting milestone.

My scales tell me I'm 10st 13lb today.

I haven't seen the scales start with a ten since 2006.

I've just been looking at my progress.

It's taken me 16 weeks to lose my last stone.

Take heart if you are fed up with the loss slowing down. I'm telling this to myself, too.

I started this thread in a "fed up" frame of mind but I've given myself a good talking-to.

2 stone in 22 weeks is just over 1lb per week which is a good, sustainable rate of loss. Losing too fast for too long isn't necessarily good for your overall health.

TheZingyFish · 28/01/2026 12:30

Thanks @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne
sensible and measured advice, this is why I come here ❤️

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 28/01/2026 12:30

.............and have lost 2st in 22 weeks

Take heart @TheZingyFish and read my last post.
It took me 16 weeks to lose 1st.
You're doing much better than I am.

Witwoooo @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne BMI can get in the bin! Because you look amazing.

@TheZingyFish definitely change provider, I've used 6 I think and none have a problem with me having my gallbladder out 10 years ago.. I wouldn't mention the pancreatitis if I was you. Check out https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/ I am sticking with medicine marketplace after finding them the best provider, they're £239 for a 10 pen.

Fantastic news @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne - well done!

eibbed999 · 28/01/2026 17:37

I'm also struggling in similar ways @TheZingyFish, and I've been on here moaning about one thing or another for days! Yes, do change supplier - I also had my gallbladder out, maybe 30 years ago. A couple of places automatically knocked me back but others have been fine. Or just don't mention it - feels weird I know but you're not being irresponsible, you have discussed it with a healthcare professional. I've been with about seven different suppliers now. You get used to moving to chase the discounts. I'm currently with Getweightloss, they don't do the big 'first order discount' but instead their prices are lower long term, so I might stay there a while - just checked and a 10mg is £238. You're definitely paying over the odds.
