Thanks everyone..I feel much better
I'm with checkup and I always have to give my weight when I re order.
I think your right @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne they may well bring out a higher dose pen .. people like me ,on top dose ,for ages with plenty more to loose ,would be glad of it

Glad you're feeling a bit better about it @Springflowers2. Totally get what you said about being worried your body has decided on your maximum - that set point theory thing. I'm concerned mine has too, but sadly after only losing less than half what you have. I was looking at my records and on July 31, I was 251lbs. Now, almost six months later, I'm 244lbs. That's a grand total of 6 pounds in 6 months, at a cost of hundreds of the other types of pounds.

Sure, those months included summer hols and Christmas - but I definitely feel like not only is the honeymoon period over, but me and Mounjaro are heading for the divorce courts! I keep trying to take inspiration from you lovely lot who have done so brilliantly, but it's getting harder and harder - I am doing battle with myself every single day, and often losing. Does anyone else just get fed up of being themselves? I feel like I wake up, and spend the rest of the day trying not to do the things I instinctively want to do - mainly eating right now, but over the years it's been smoking, probably drinking too much, in my younger days (many moons ago!) partying. It's bloody exhausting! I felt like MJ was part of the solution, but now in all honesty I'm not sure. I still have one more dose to go up, 15, so I should probably try that and see if it helps. I still have a minimum of six stone left to shift to get anywhere near to healthy, and according to bobbins-but-all-we-have-as-a-guide BMI, potentially up to eight. At a pound a month I will be dead and buried before I start hitting targets - and in a huge coffin!

GnomeDePlume · 27/01/2026 09:29

I think our bodies do go through a certain amount of reset (which I like to think of as a project meeting of the organs). Metabolism slows a bit while everything reasseses what it needs.

Our bodies have been running a very different show. The composition of the Human Body Project Team has changed hugely. We tend to think of the fat we have lost as being something separate but in fact it was also on the project team.

GnomeDePlume · 27/01/2026 09:33

But I'm not a doctor!

mamabeeboo · 27/01/2026 10:24

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne @Springflowers2 Do you use the Shotsy app? I'd recommend it. I just use the free version but it has a calendar there you can put your dose, your weight and it's how I keep track of when I last jabbed.

I've got 4 stone to still go
I do sometimes wonder if I can go it alone .
Definitely go up to 15 though..
I lost the most of my weight on 15
I am finding it harder to stay motivated, the longer I'm on the jabs for sure .
It's like I'm thinking
Ok I'm done with dieting now ..I want my old foods back ,my snacks back .

Never heard of it
Not good with technology
But will definitely find it and have a go
Thankyou for the suggestion

That's an interesting theory
I like that idea

eibbed999 · 27/01/2026 12:50

That's tough @Springflowers2. I'm sorry it's so hard at the moment. Our minds and bodies work in a complicated partnership. Sometimes feels like they're arguing with each other!

I don’t think I ever felt the full effects till I went up to 15mg, I took 15mg weekly between April and December and it was still doing its thing and averaging half a stone loss each month. I’ve now started to drop the doses. 15mg was definitely magic for me.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 27/01/2026 14:13

Brilliant news @FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping 🎉 and @recruitretain 🎉

definitely download the shotsy app @Springflowers2, if you’re forgetting to jab every 7 days then the levels of Mounjaro in your system are not as high as they should be as it’s not building up, so for example, if you haven’t jabbed for 10 days you’ll only have about 25% of the dose in your system, whereas jabbing every 6/7 days keeps the levels in your system more consistent - I’m sure someone (looking at you @SilenceInside ) can explain it better than me!

I will give it a go. I was one of those people who felt it big-time straight away, I was on 2.5mg for 3 months and it was amazing. I've never felt the same suppression since then. I'm now on 12.5 and I'm not exaggerating when I say it has zero effect on me. I might as well not be on the jabs at all, the way I feel. Will go up to 15mg in case it kicks in again, but if not I don't see the point in continuing. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 27/01/2026 14:43

@eibbed999 12.5mg felt like ‘water’ to me, as did 7.5mg. It was obviously doing something in the background but not as much as I wanted it to do, I don’t chase full on suppression as I still want to eat and get used to dealing with hunger, even now I’m still confusing hunger and thirst! It’s frustrating as we all react so differently so one person’s recommendation may not have the same effect on another person.
I now take 10mg every five days and for me it works perfectly.

Yes that is one of the interesting things about MJ isn't it - we do all seem to have a very different experience of it. So odd, and sometimes unhelpful - but at least there are always lots of suggestions to try out! What confuses me is the very high suppression I had in the early days, that I've now lost completely. I assume it's just my body (and let's face it my stupid self-sabotaging brain!) adjusting to the new state of affairs, and now going 'um, hold on a minute, we're not sure about this!' I jabbed 12.5 this morning, and by this p.m was eating a Subway footlong meal deal. I just don't know what the hell is going on with me - I have a few days of control, which feels like such a relief, and then it's like a Jekyll and Hyde thing happens. I might top up with another 2.5 tomorrow if I feel no different. I hate this, I feel so crap, like yet another thing hasn't worked. If it had never worked it would feel easier - no drug works for everyone - but it genuinely felt like a life-changing miracle back at the start, like I was definitely going to do it this time. And maybe I still will - probably just being a bit of a negative nancy right now for various reasons!

PositiveAttitude · 27/01/2026 15:23

Thanks for being all so honest here. Sorry that some here are struggling so much.
But also some really good NSVs that I have caught up on.
It all still seems so very far away for me to be able to fit into any "normal" size clothes. It's weird to see others here with similar weights being a good few sizes smaller than I am currently. I must remember that comparison is not a good thing and just keep in my own lane and do my own thing and be happy with my progress.

I am very frustrated too.
Since my mega loss due to illness my body seems to be playing games with me. I knew I would not keep off all that loss once I was able to eat again. But I have kept below my calories every single day and every day I stand on the scales and I am still going up each day!! I didn't expect it to take so long for my body to even itself out. 🙄

I am on 10mg still. I had gone back to 7 days between jabs. I think I will stick to this until I am sure my body is behaving normally again.
I had found that a lower dose every 5 days was actually better for me, so perhaps I will go back to a 5 day routine.

I would also recommend the shotsy app for keeping track of the jabs, dose and amount in your system.
I also use nutracheck for tracking calories, which I don't do every day, but when I need to check I am keeping on track it is very good.

eibbed999 · 27/01/2026 15:27

Hope it events out for you @PositiveAttitude - bad enough you've been sick without now having to deal with this! And yes, what is that phrase - comparison is the thief of joy? Not always easy to stick to though!

Another thought to add to my Human Body Project Team theory:

It's winter. I do think that there is a natural instinct to eat whatever is available, especially 'comfort food' this time of year. Metabolism also working a bit slower, not hibernating strictly but conserving rather than spending energy. This may be more pronounced having lost a lot of our natural insulation.

Other members of the project team are saying 'hold up a bit'. As soon as we get a warm spell we will be glad of that loss of insulation.

We arent that far removed from our ancestors.

And think how many of us are unfamiliarly feeling the cold.

Good point - it’s bound to all be harder in deepest most miserable Winter! I’m certainly freezing all the time.

We currently have no heating or hot water
Engineer was out today ,here for 3 hours ..it's not fixed and coming back tomorrow ( I hope )
It's going to be a cold night in Spring flowers cottage

user593 · 27/01/2026 17:18

@Springflowers2 You have my sympathy! We didn’t have hot water for a week last week and it made me so depressed not being able to have a warm shower and wash my hair! I hope it gets fixed soon.

As a retired nurse and midwife, I think it's ingrained in me to record times and dosages of injectable meds.
