I hope it’s okay to start a new thread as we are getting dangerously close to the end of thread 1

Hello! New to the thread having just ordered my first pen 🫣

SW: 224lb 😖
GW: 140lb

I ordered from MedExpress but it seems I’ve paid a lot more than some on this thread, would people mind sharing where they order from please?

I paid £149 for the first month with Medicspot, I realise that’s probably quite high, I thought it was expected to be that much so happy for advice!! I’ve had a text from them checking in, though feel it’s very chat GPT-like but either way, I told him all about how I’m feeling and my bad habits!! lol

Happy weekend all, jab 4 for me today.
Starting weight: 12st 2
Week1: 11st 7
Week 2: 11st 6
Week 3: 11st 5

I lost loads the first week but it has really slowed since. Trying not to feel disheartened as I can’t really eat less than I am now without skipping meals altogether! Slow and steady wins the race I suppose …

I think I’m a bit like this. Initial good loss gets me all excited, but I don’t think I’ve lost as much this week (my 3rd jab is due Monday), but after a sneak peek this morning it should still be a loss, which is the aim of the exercise. I’m also struggling to see how I can eat less, but we’ll see. I’m definitely thinking differently about food, but still enjoying eating and cooking, but usually end up eating because it’s a mealtime (and my husband is hungry!) rather than feel like I need/want to eat!

BooptotheFloof · 24/01/2026 15:04

Today is the first day I have felt really really hungry and it’s making me nervous about my decision to stay on 2.5 for the next month - my will power is waining and I’ve just been walking around the kitchen looking for snacks

I stopped myself and had an apple but genuinely the first time I have felt myself going back to old habits

Went upstairs and took my fourth dose to remind myself why I am doing this! Maybe it was because I was on my last day of the week and everything has worn off but crikey when people talk about the food noise being switched off - I haven’t really noticed until it came blaring back on!

Im the same. My appetite is through the roof by glp1 standards. I worry I made a mistake ordering the lowest dose for another month. I hope its just PMS and will settle in a week when I get my period.

I changed my injection site this week but will switch back in case it does make a difference. All im thinking of is how to survive another month before I can go up.

I still get full from carbs etc but my brain....

Blandpedant · 24/01/2026 15:16

I’ve decided to go up to 5mg next month as my weight loss has slowed, but I think I’m also realising just how little food I actually need in a day to maintain a good weight. It’s going to be a big change! I think I’d just got so used to having three decent meals and a couple of snacks, and felt like that was normal, but it was obviously way more calories than I needed. Looking back to my 20s when I was 9 stone, I realise I didn’t eat like that. Need to change what is “normal” in my head!

Onbdy · 24/01/2026 15:25

My second 2.5 MJ pen arrived this morning. I have lost 11.25 pounds in 3 weeks which I’m happy with. I’m still eating 3 meals a day but food noise has gone. I decided to stick with 2.5 for another month as I’ve had a few side effects this week so I think it’s wise to give my body another month to get used to the medication before I go up to 5mg. I am increasing my gym sessions too. I haven’t set any goals yet but I’d really like to have lost a stone in the first month which is achievable if I manage to lose another 2.75 pounds this week. 🤞

recruitretain · 24/01/2026 15:28

Day 5 of first jab

2.5mg starter MJ

not hungry but just today was thinking more about food

But think it’s cos I’m off work and having a quiet day

notcomfortable · 24/01/2026 16:39

I started my new job today so been a bit radio silent
I think for me the food noise has definitely lessened, it felt nice to not think about what I'm going to eat next etc or could be that I was just back in work and too busy for those thoughts 😂
Those that find their food noises or suppression coming back, please keep that willpower cos altho you can go up, there's nowhere to go from 15mg so you really do need to change those habits and in the end will power will be all you have left

cravingmilkshake · 24/01/2026 17:12

I took my daughter out today and we had lunch at Pizza Hut - all you can eat buffet . I had three slices of pizza and a salad bowl and was stuffed . No ice cream for me needed.

im stuffed still now and don’t think ill need dinner tonight ? Going to the cinema this evening !

Hi all. Just ordered my first lot of Wegovy. It was £29! Can I join? I’m really afraid of feeling sick and also of my medication not working as well as not absorbing as quickly. But I’m 14.12 and feel rubbish!

How did you get it so cheap?

JHound · 24/01/2026 17:40

Just took first Mounjaro shot. Was petrified of needle but barely felt it. I took it later than planned as was out late last night. Will see how I feel tomorrow with nausea and side effects.

JHound · 24/01/2026 17:55

notcomfortable · 23/01/2026 15:02

Two hundred and ten great British pounds?! Where are you buying from?
My recent order of 5mg was only £124
I'd rather pay that than stretch a pen

Where do you buy from? I paid more than that for 2.5mg!

mendandmakedo · 24/01/2026 18:11

I will weigh tomorrow and update. I was very distracted as I ordered second pen hoping it would arrive without anyone knowing. Cue constant checking the door during 3 hour delivery window with no luck...Anyway it was handed to partner, he is in the photo of proof of delivery!! I told them it was a birthday present for someone and shoved it in a cupboard before he questioned why it felt so cold. What a stressful morning.

I have ordered again same place, to try to predict better when delivery was. Was more money than it needed to be. Managed to get £25 credit note price match for next order at least.

Someone posted the link earlier today to the mounjaro price comparison website. I’ve ordered my 2nd lot of 2.5mg MJ for £104 through Farmaci. They have a £40 discount at the moment but there were quite a few with similar prices.

YouBelongWithMe · 24/01/2026 18:57

Suppression strong today, even though I'm still on a loading dose.

I've had two coffees, managed a few mouthfuls of a mango chia pudding and had a smallish pizza (homemade, high protein yoghurt base). Stuffed.

Need to do better than that!

YouBelongWithMe · 24/01/2026 19:02

In other news ChatGPT tells me I've now lost the weight of a juvenile raccoon!

glutenisthedevil · 24/01/2026 19:21

@YouBelongWithMe ChatGPT told me that I am "one very respectable turkey lighter" 😂

Newstartplease24 · 24/01/2026 19:57

I feel really good about this. I’ve had a brutal few years in various ways and there’s more to come. My relationship is in a terrible state. All this has taken its toll on my body and I’ve never been so heavy. There are all kinds of knock on impacts to my joints etc. I am so grateful that there is something I can do for myself tjat can actually help me get where to need to be. I know my habits have to change - I want them to - I’ve had good habits before. I just lost my way. For a long time. God bless modern medicine for providing actual
solutions. I take a statin, I take asthma meds, I take hrt and now this. Between the lot of them I’m in a much better place than I would otherwise be. I feel actually flooded with relief after one day of no
emotional eating - eating like I ate when I was young and free and had some self esteem. It’s blissful

Have just spotted your user name! I am coeliac. Hard agree.

Ah, same. Almost 20 years now. GF food has come a long way, hasn't it?

glutenisthedevil · 24/01/2026 20:28

@YouBelongWithMe forgot to ask, did you have any reservations about taking WLI being a coeliac? At the beginning, I was so nervous that I'd react really badly because of it, even though it's under control. On the whole it hasn't been too bad, though.

Octagoneaway · 24/01/2026 20:29

Newstartplease24 · 24/01/2026 12:35

Well done! So impressed with the losses on this thread, I’m inspired.
off topic - does anyone take a collagen supplement they feel really works? I’m not veggie, if that makes a difference

I’ve been taking collagen from elavate since last Spring. It’s chocolate flavoured so I have it in a small amount of milk. Tastes great so it is easy to be consistent. Let me know if you want a referral code.

No, tbh. But I am on a long-term immunosuppressant and I was worrying about that instead.

I was only diagnosed four years ago so the memory of good pizza and pasta is still relatively fresh for me 😭 I do find it manageable though.

I am also a fellow coeliac
Only diagnosed in 2024 and it hit me like a ton of bricks, was not expecting it at all
Have not noticed any reactions with being coeliac and on wli
Just noticed my weight creeping up with all the added stuff in foods😭

AddUpToNothing · 24/01/2026 20:43

4th dose and weigh in today. I haven’t lost anything this week so I’m really disappointed.

Normally on diets this would be my sign to pack it in 😂 obviously I’m not going to do that but I look forward to my Saturday on the scales to get some validation that this is all worth it. So to see no loss was a bit disheartening.

A new week tomorrow and fingers crossed for a better result next Saturday!

Talking of collagen, I bought some unflavoured marine collagen powder. It is most definitely not unflavoured. It was like drinking the dirty water from a fish tank 🤢 so I need to find something where I definitely won’t taste it. I’m thinking maybe like a shot of orange juice and just downing it.
