Is there one yet? If not, should this be it? I’m starting tonight, so officially November, but hey! Am so nervous, woke up early this morning with anxiety. Would love tips from anyone who has started before on what / how to eat on first few days..I’m really concerned about debilitating side effects- should you just listen to your body or force yourself to eat chicken?! I keep seeing all these insta posts about eating protein!!

I've never heard of 3.75 being offered as a dose?

I think some are buying a 7.5mg pen and half dosing the jabs. I plan to make a 5mg last 8 weeks once I’m at goal by doing the same thing and then extracting the golden dose.

MrsTigerface · 26/04/2026 10:37

Hi, @user1479317972 , both @cobblers00 and I are taking 3.75mg from 5mg pens, by counting clicks (45 clicks).

I was nervous to go up to 5mg too…the thought of all that nausea again. Going up to 3.75mg was very smooth though. You could try it and see how you go.

Hi I’ve been on 2.5 Mounjaro since Dec . I’ve consistently lost every week but for the past 3 weeks I’ve just stayed the same. I’ve heard terrible stories about going up to 5mg, should I just accept some weeks I’m going to stall and carry on with 2.5?

Yes I count clicks. I tend to decide on dose by my appetite/ side effects rather than the scales.. when I’ve noticed I’m finding it harder to make good choices/ am seeking more snacks/ bigger portions, I’ve gone up. The scales do stick for weeks I find, especially if you’re strength training too as building muscle. Are you tracking what you’re eating to see if you’re still in calorie deficit most days?

How do you do that - do you buy extra needles? If so where from - it’s what I want to do but have no idea how to proceed - so for now I’m still on 2.5mg - I can’t afford monthly 5mg

MrsTigerface · 26/04/2026 17:50

Hi @PivotPivotmakingmargaritas, yes, I bought some extra needles. These are compatible with all of the Mounjaro pens x

I managed to pick up two new bras - am so much more comfortable now! And I just listed a bunch of stuff on Vinted and sold two nice items immediately. Happy days!

Gardener82 · 30/04/2026 12:39

How’s everybody doing, I’ve got 1 more stone to lose and then I’m at my goal weight.
Did any of you see the thread the other day about how anyone using Mounjaro should expect to do so for life or expect to regain the weight lost? What are your thoughts on this, I don’t think I can afford it forever, I wish I could because it’s a brilliant drug.
I’ve seen threads to where posters are saying they have stopped taking Mounjaro and are still eating within their maintenance suggested calories, sometimes lower yet are still gaining, one woman said she’d regained 20lb in 8 weeks.

PivotPivotmakingmargaritas · 30/04/2026 13:11

Personally I think that thread was right - I came off mounjaro for 2 months as I had other health issues at the time and had to pause other drugs in my system- my need to eat stayed away about a month before my appetite came back and unfortunately I put on extra weight too as in my head I knew I’d be starting mounjaro again so I thought …. oh well what’s a few more kgs….

I’ve had gastric sleeve and mounjaro- neither have fixed my emotional eating so I’m going have to be on maintenance once at my goal weight.

someone on another thread said they do 1.60( or some small number) every week so they get to two months per needle - I might have to investigate that option.

StrongGirlsLift · 30/04/2026 13:21

I haven’t tried coming off yet so am not sure what to think! I have certainly seen many people say they have maintained or lost more, and many who have regained some or all. Presumably the underlying causes play a part too - metabolism, activity levels, emotional eating, pre-existing conditions etc.

I would like to lose 7-10lbs more, but have only lost 2lbs in the last month. I’m trying a higher dose and will then decide what to do next. I think I will try to wean off down the doses and perhaps try longer gaps between doses through the summer. But now I know it works for me, I hope I will be able to get a prescription again if I start to regain.

It’s not easy, is it!

PivotPivotmakingmargaritas · 02/05/2026 16:05

What’s your go to high protein snack - don’t say cottage cheese the stuff is vile 😝)

I just had a horrible meal didn’t eat much at all but now I’m hungry…. I’m genuinely thinking even a spoonful of peanut butter would be best right now

StrongGirlsLift · 02/05/2026 16:32

I’m veggie, but if I was not I’d be eating chicken/fish/meat as a snack (my other half snacks on tinned fish 🤐). High protein, low fat, moderate calories, no sugar!

I tend to keep boiled eggs around, or have a protein shake or high protein yoghurt. Occasionally a piece of cheese (a relic from my low carb days).

Gardener82 · 02/05/2026 20:22

My go to snack at the minute is.. Chopped up small in a food processor, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, carrot, sprinkle abit of salt and pepper and some sesame seeds, on top of a water cracker, or with a tin of tuna.

cobblers00 · 03/05/2026 07:54

I snack on cold turkey sausages, cashews & popcorn.

I decided to take a dose of my new 1.7mg Wegovy pen today, after hardly losing in the last 5 weeks. I still have two doses of the 1mg pen and don’t want to waste them, so am thinking of taking the 1mg pen next week, the 1.7mg the week after. I have a work trip at the end of May and have found it’s often the 3rd or 4th week after increasing that I have a few systems, so I am hoping this will help a bit.

I know MJ users are more experienced with juggling doses! Has anyone else tried this approach?

Margaritawithlime · 06/05/2026 20:29

@StrongGirlsLift how is 1.7 treating you

StrongGirlsLift · 06/05/2026 22:43

So far, so good! Scales have started to move down a little.

cobblers00 · 07/05/2026 10:31

We’re similar @StrongGirlsLift- just checked progress & lost 2lb in last month.. am on 3.75 mj & def having to use willpower more to avoid over eating.. but am super focused on my strength training so that’s keeping the wolf from the door! Only want to lose another 5-6lb really so contemplating biting the bullet & going up to full 5mg dose… or do I stay low & slow?! Are you feeling noticeably less hungry on your higher dose?

OP posts:
StrongGirlsLift · 07/05/2026 13:40

@cobblers00 it sounds like we’re in a very similar place! Glad you’re enjoying the weight training - isn’t it fab? I’m really enjoying starting to see the muscle I have been building for the last 2.5 years (it was there but hidden by fat!). Someone at park run last week asked me if I was a personal trainer - I was quietly thrilled 😊

I also want to lose another 7ish lbs and have definitely felt an improvement on 1.7mg. I think I’ll see more over the next few weeks, but I definitely don’t have the suppression I had in months 2 and 3. I think it’s starting to come back on the new dose.

I am thinking of 1-2 pens on 1.7mg and will work my way back down after that, hoping not to gain too much back. I have seen other WLI users here say that a few rebound lbs is normal but some people have been able to stall it there. I do already do cardio, weights, and HIIT through my normal weeks, if not too affected by work. Its always been about appetite management for me and just being so short that maintenance calories are low!

Margaritawithlime · 10/05/2026 21:16

Things are moving soooooo slowly here. They’re moving but feels like treacle. I realised this morning that nutracheck doesn’t automatically re adjust your calories as you lose weight; needless to say 52lbs down and mine needed adjusting! No wonder it’s slowed as my deficit was there but much closer to it without realising.
Ive adjusted it now so hopefully it will motivate me to continue to make good choices,

StrongGirlsLift · 10/05/2026 21:51

Hope the new calculation helps! What kcals are you aiming for now? Good luck.

StrongGirlsLift · 13/05/2026 18:04

I just bought a pair of fab Whistles barrel jeans in a size 10 and they fit perfectly - never thought I’d see the day! Thank you Vinted 😬

Gardener82 · 24/05/2026 14:03

How’s everyone getting on? I haven’t lost anything in 3 weeks now, just keep losing and gaining the same 2lb. So frustrating when I only have 11lb until I’m at my goal.

MrsTigerface · 25/05/2026 11:17

A somewhat belated update. We were in holiday for a couple of weeks in May, but I was very pleased to stay the same at my weigh in on 15th May. A week later, I had lost 2lb more, which was great. Away again for a few days last week so there was no weigh in again this week, I am afraid I have had a boozy bank holiday weekend so far so need to pull my finger out a bit. If I give it a push, maybe I can get another pound off by Friday.

It’s going in the right direction, but so slowly.

In other news, the nausea has been worse, off and on, over the last few weeks. I have been on strong antibiotics which might be the reason but if it continues then I might think about going back from 3.75mg to 2.5mg.

This time next week, I’ll have been on MJ for six months. Heavens.

cobblers00 · 26/05/2026 21:52

Hey, all good here.. I’m 1lb off target & thinking of going a few pounds lighter for some buffering as got another 5mg pen in fridge to use.. I’ve been on 5mg for 3 weeks now, not massively different to 3.75 really- very slow loss which suits me - I do get hungry & am not tracking my calories in as much so do need to be careful as I approach maintenance...
currently wondering if worth reducing dose or just spreading them out more like every 10 days?
any experiences very welcome!
Well done everyone - can’t believe in just 6 months life has changed so much. It’s so freeing being lighter & smaller!

Yes, I saw this. Can't say I'm surprised. Ive been on-off due to health issues and have gone up and down by about 6lbs in 8 weeks. I'm sure I'll need a maintenance dose, if I can tolerate it. I'm working on my pelvic floor health before I restart again to see if that will help with the MJ related constipation plus my long term, post-baby bladder issues. Fingers crossed it works because if not I will have to stay off MJ and I know I will regain what I lost (a stone) before the ill health and complications set in. 😬
