Is there one yet? If not, should this be it? I’m starting tonight, so officially November, but hey! Am so nervous, woke up early this morning with anxiety. Would love tips from anyone who has started before on what / how to eat on first few days..I’m really concerned about debilitating side effects- should you just listen to your body or force yourself to eat chicken?! I keep seeing all these insta posts about eating protein!!

Hope you feel better soon @SexyFrenchDepression, you’ve done so well. Are you in maintenance mode now or still figuring it out?

I’m happy with 5lbs a month, really - consistency is key! Last time I hit 127lbs (57kg) was a year after my first DC was born, via low carb, but of course it bounced right back up the second I ate carbs. I’m happy that I won’t have that fairly immediate 5-7lb regain that I’ve had with low carb. I was pretty lean then but haven’t been down to 52kg since I was 21 and training 13 times a week (no joke, loved my uni days!)

Hmm, so perhaps 5lbs a month on 1mg WG is the right zone to be in. I always worry about getting sick on work trips if I go up the doses - I don’t always control my food choices when travelling, as I just have a bit of whatever is veggie.

I am seeing blood pressure numbers back in the healthy range, which was one of my goals, and I feel much more agile when playing team sports. I’m so happy I took the leap to try WLI, and still have a way to go. Thanks for the Dec starter support!

SexyFrenchDepression · 07/04/2026 17:32

@StrongGirlsLift not in maintenance mode yet, was intending on having a week of just not counting etc then fighting it out properly but with being ill I havent been able to eat properly. Will start eating a bit more to see where I can maintain and then start to reduce my doses I guess. I am going to email Lotus and ask how long in between doses I need to go, also will try to order from Pharmulus as they go down to BMI 19.

MrsTigerface · 10/04/2026 11:13

I was another 1lb down this morning which surprised me a bit as we had a few days away where I was very modest with my food intake…but not very modest with my wine intake!

Goal weight still 16lb away…

cobblers00 · 11/04/2026 10:28

Morning all, down to 10 stone today so only 6lb to target weight! Just about to reorder.. any recommendations for easy to use providers- I find some of the sites so confusing .. just tried one & despite following all instructions my images are not showing as uploaded.. another I get all the way through & realise it’s a subscription - getadrip- anyone used them?? Is the sub easy to cancel? My plan is to order 5mg pens every month for next 3-4 months, use 3.75 each dose, titrate down & then maintain on lowest possible dose for another 6 months once I hit target so my body gets used to its new weight & I can really cement the good habits.. what’s everyone else thinking of doing?

Well done @MrsTigerface and @cobblers00!

I am still not sure what to do - I feel so close and yet so far! I have been the same weight for 14 days now (probably not helped by Easter chocolate - not eating loads of it but probably 100-200kcals a day and it’s just there all the time).

I am at BMI 24.5 and had a possible target weight of BMI 21.5 so still a fair way to go (that’s about 8kg at my height). I have another 1mg WG pen starting next week. I could go up to 1.7mg. We’ve had a pretty stressful time and I don’t want to make things worse if side effects increase, but I’m probably being too cautious. I’m just at the point where my clothes are a bit too big, realistically, and I should probably invest in some smaller sizes.

I have been enjoying getting back out running!

Gardener82 · 12/04/2026 10:00

@StrongGirlsLift How often are you weighing yourself? I’m finding it frustrating aswell, I’ll have weeks where I’m the space of 24 hours I’ll lose 3lb and then put 4lb back on, it makes no sense at all.
I have the exact same BMI goal as you and I have another 16lb to lose before I get there.
I have 11 jabs left in my fridge and I can’t really afford to carry on after they have finished.
My plan over the next 12 weeks is..
Ive joined a gym, I’ve got my first class tonight. And where possible I’m having my main meal at before at 4pm and I’m not eating again until 8am the next morning, I have noticed bigger losses on weeks where I’ve done this. I am finding it difficult and sometimes cave and have a strawberry Calippo (addicted to these at the moment)

StrongGirlsLift · 12/04/2026 10:39

@Gardener82 I weigh daily! It’s what works for me - at least, it keeps me on track when it’s moving in the right direction. Only in the mornings before I drink or eat anything.

Enjoy your gym class! What will you be doing at the gym? I’m too knackered to go today but I’m just about to start several hours of gardening (quite physical; our garden needs a lot of work!) and I think we’ll have a walk this afternoon.

IF has worked for me to maintain before, and I think I might do that when I figure out maintenance; usually I do 16:8. I’ve never managed to lose weight on IF though.

I think we must be a similar height/weight with those goals. If I go that far, I’ve basically done 60% of my weight loss and have 40% to go. Right now, my face and neck are looking a bit drawn too (stress and some sleep issues not helping). But I’m starting to see some of the muscle I have built become a bit more visible which is nice! I must have lost some muscle in the weight loss but I haven’t lost much strength, and I had to stop some of my training due to a bad knee injury.

Must stop procrastinating and start gardening 😬.

Margaritawithlime · 12/04/2026 14:33

Hi all - checking in. I’ve realised I keep forgetting to post. Was having horrid issues using the site and it kept glitching and freezing but seems to be better through the Google app so hopefully I can keep up.
3.5 stone down here and really starting to see it. I’ve stayed steady on 6.25mg which is an odd step up dose from 5 but just didn’t want to go all the way to 7.5 and I’ve been on this now for weeks and weeks and it seems to be a good spot
for me. I am still getting very strong suppression on day 1 and 2 post jab but then it eases and I am managing to stick to 1600cals or thereabouts. I’ve started running too! I got to week 7 of c25k years ago before stopping so have picked it up again and encouraging my kids to come out with me which they’re (currently) happy to do. Next week my plan is a big wardrobe clear out and stick
it all on vinted & hopefully make enough money to buy myself some summer bits. I’ve got 4 stone to go before I’m the lightest I’ve ever been and that was in my early 20s. I think in another 3 I’ll begin to titrate down and see where I land. Crazy that that seems achievable!
You’re all doing so well.

StrongGirlsLift · 12/04/2026 17:23

That’s so impressive @Margaritawithlime, glad to hear your update! Well done on your loss - how are you feeling as your shape changes? Good luck with Vinted!

I am back on couch to 5k too! I like the NHS app version and have picked Jo Wylie as the voice coach, it’s fun!

I didn’t know you could change the voice!!! I’m on the default AI robot setting.
off to investigate.

Gardener82 · 21/04/2026 16:25

How’s everyone doing? I had a big lose last week of 3lb. I started going to the gym which is speeding things up and I’m seeing patterns in my weight loss that I’m going to try and stick to long term.
The main one being my meal times, I work 6am-11am in one job and then 3pm-7pm in my second job, I always ate my main dinner once home at 7.30 ish, I’ve started having my dinner at 2pm and it’s definitely helping me reach goal.
This week med express messed up my order so I haven’t jabbed in 11 days now, the pens in the post but I’m pleased that I’ve managed to stick to my plan without needing to much willpower, it’s liked something has finally clicked in my brain and I know I can’t go backwards again.
I’ve got a 7.5mg pen in the post
and my plan is to do 5 weeks on that (I’ve been on 7.5mg for the last 8 weeks now anyway)
Ive also got 2 5mg pens in the fridge so once I’ve finished the 7.5 I’ll move down to 5mg for 5 weeks and then make the last pen last by micro dosing 2.5mg.
My goal was 140lb but I might try for 135lb that would leave me with a BMI of 21.5.
My start weight was 187lb, I’m currently at 153lb.
Also now a size 10 I’m most shops, I was squeezing myself into a 14 when we all started in December.

Colinthedaxi · 21/04/2026 20:38

You have done brilliantly. I’ve been on holiday with a rabid anti jabber and too much glorious food and wine. I’ve had a gain 🤣

Would it even be a holiday without a little gain. Ignore it and start over!

Colinthedaxi · 21/04/2026 22:12

Indeed!!!

MrsTigerface · 22/04/2026 12:53

Wow, everyone is doing so well! I am glad I joined along with this thread, it has really uplifted me.

Bit of a milestone for me today; we are going away for two weeks tomorrow, so I had an early weigh in as I kind of felt a bit lighter…

I am another 1lb down, which takes me to 10:13. This feels momentous as the last time I saw a 10 on the scales it was early 2020. We had a holiday booked for April that year and I thought, I really must get a few pounds off before we go. Of course, Covid came, and we did not have our holiday, nor the one after that - it was late 2021 when we actually did get to travel again.

I used to blame Covid for me letting go of things weight wise but looking back I can see it was also the menopause (I was 54, nearly 55 when Covid arrived).

Anyway, 61 today and (just) back in the 10s. I am pleased, though will have to make decent food choices while I m away, I know, if I don’t want to see an 11 again anytime soon.

15lb to go. My brother put a spanner in the works of my target weight when he phoned a few days ago - he asked if the weight which I was happy with from my early 40s to early 50s would still seem like a good weight for my early 60s. I told him that I thought it would be, based on the amount of blubber still around my middle 😀

cobblers00 · 22/04/2026 20:05

Well done everyone. Great to hear we’re all still going strong & nearing our target weights. It’s been so easy with the help of medication & I am so hoping like you @Gardener82the patterns which are easy to follow with the jab, remain so without it!! I had a surprising nsv today.. on my dog walk today i suddenly noticed my 36dd bra was hanging off me!! Measured when got home & am now 32” under bra line! I’ve def slacked off in terms of obsessing about protein intake but have really got into weight training so am noticing some real differences with my body shape & definition.. less so on the scales. So this nsv was a good feeling!

OP posts:
Gardener82 · 22/04/2026 21:23

Well done @cobblers00it feels amazing doesn’t it. I’ve definitely had weeks where the nsv have been more apparent than the number on the scales.
Such a brilliant drug, I’m so glad I decided to go for it.

StrongGirlsLift · 23/04/2026 19:22

It’s bras for me too @cobblers00! Down one band size but two cup sizes sadly. I haven’t bought new ones yet! Wandering around with flappy bras.

I am hovering around the same weight at the moment, frustratingly, but lots of my clothes are starting to look a bit silly - I do think I may go down another size but don’t think I can carry on with baggy trousers for too much longer!

StrongGirlsLift · 24/04/2026 08:17

After losing 5lbs every month until now, I have barely lost 1lb this time. As usual, work and commitments have got in the way of exercise and food planning, but this isn’t likely to change - we’ve just overcommitted to stuff.

I’m going up to 1.7mg for the next dose (WG). I’ve done three pens at 1.0. I would like to lose another 8-10lbs but I think that’s enough.

user1479317972 · 24/04/2026 13:04

Hi I’ve been on 2.5 Mounjaro since Dec . I’ve consistently lost every week but for the past 3 weeks I’ve just stayed the same. I’ve heard terrible stories about going up to 5mg, should I just accept some weeks I’m going to stall and carry on with 2.5?

I’ve had weeks where I’ve stalled and then I’ve lost loads more quickly.
I started in Dec and am on 7.5mg and haven’t had any side effects, have you felt well on 2.5?

user1479317972 · 24/04/2026 13:34

I had side effects initially of bad stomach, just don’t want to go through that again if I don’t have to. I have lost nearly 2 stone so far but was just a bit worried it hasn’t budged for a few weeks x

I've never heard of 3.75 being offered as a dose?
