Is there one yet? If not, should this be it? I’m starting tonight, so officially November, but hey! Am so nervous, woke up early this morning with anxiety. Would love tips from anyone who has started before on what / how to eat on first few days..I’m really concerned about debilitating side effects- should you just listen to your body or force yourself to eat chicken?! I keep seeing all these insta posts about eating protein!!

I just bought a smaller bra so there’s a win of sorts!! Desperate for new clothes but 1) between seasons 2) between sizes & hope to land on a 10 but not quite there yet 3) i don’t like the style in the shops at the moment (anyone else??!!!) and 4) all my ££ is going on jabs!!! Meanwhile my clothes are really baggy & I have nothing to wear! Cba with Vinted but do need to try & sell my old stuff I think.

I need to address the bra situation soon too!

I do well with Vinted and have mostly been buying things I already own/in a different colour etc. and I just took a couple of unsold things off Vinted because they fit again, Wohoo!

I really struggled to find any tops I liked on the high street, everything oversized and I'm short so doesnt look good.

I’m a victim of the baggy bum trouser brigade. Everything is just sort of loose now. Not hugely too big so it falls down but nowhere near as snug as it was 3 stone ago (obviously!) going to do a clear out, a vinted sell and see where I am at. Got two new bras because I can’t be uncomfy as far as they’re concerned!

Saggy bum and crotch, its so annoying 😂 if they just looked baggy then they would be fine but saggy is no good 😂 Having a proper clear out of my wardrobe was lovely, big stuff all gone (4 bin bags of winter/autumn stuff, not started on summer stuff yet as its in loft) and its so nice being able to actually see what i have now so can actually rotate stuff. Found some bits in back of wardrobe I forgot I had.

Slowest loser in the group here! Another 1lb off this week, making 19lb since my first jab on 3 December. I am exactly halfway along now, having another 19 to lose to get to my target weight.

I am starting to think about my exit strategy now.

Currently 3.75mg weekly and the plan is to stay on this, if possible. At the current rate of weight loss I am looking at reaching my target weight* sometime in the autumn. Once I do I was thinking to stay at the current dosage for a few weeks, then titrate down to 2.5mg, stay there for a few weeks and then do a few weeks on 1.25mg with the aim of being on MJ for a max of 6 months after target is reached, hopefully less than that.

At least that’s the plan for now.

(*When I was last at this weight I was mid to late 40s. It suited me then but whether it still will at 61 is another matter!)

I have lost 10lb since Dec 7th so I think I might get the title! Was quite disheartened at first but I can see that my body IS changing, albeit slowly, and so it's keeping me going!

Colinthedaxi · 25/03/2026 17:15

I’m just short of 10kg lighter since the 7th of December, all on 2.5 and not being religious about injecting on day seven if I had a night out planned or was busy at work. Started at 74kg and I did have a month where I floated around 66kg but still with no food noise. Now starting to see the scales head down again. Ordered a size 12 dress for a wedding, liked it but wondered if the 10 would fit, it does and looks 100 times better. Fell great on MJ (suspect it’s helping with vague menopause symptoms) - planning to go to 60kg. Like someone else said… not a peep from anyone!!!

cobblers00 · 25/03/2026 22:41

@Colinthedaxi very similar experience here.. started at 77kg- now just hit 65.. stalked for ages at 67.. 2.5-3.75mg tops. Lots of weight training & feel so much better generally.. it’s great isn’t it! Getting a little nervous about facing life without it tho!

so started at 89kg/14stone, lost 13.2 kg so down to 75.8kg so very happy right now, its being noticed , i sit comfortably in size 12 trousers and i am hoping soon to try a size 10 even if its a bit tight. bras on smaller settings so will return to a 34 back instead of a 36, not sure i will ever return to 32 back though we will see.
I still wear my size 14 jeans mainly but need to wean myself off it. hoping to have another stone and a half off min before i consider coming off them.
Very interesting how some are very open about their usage, which is refreshing. I am not saying anything, but its nice to see others being open and it reduces the stigma.
going up to 10mg next week and hoping it isnt as rough as 7.5 was for the first month

MrsTigerface · 27/03/2026 14:03

Stayed the same this week - no surprises there. Feeling a lot better in myself though, with all the gym going. I do feel a wee bit leaner. I have resolved to have a really good push on it next week.

Gardener82 · 29/03/2026 10:00

Weigh in today and another 1lb lighter.
Start weight 187lb
Current weight 156lb
Goal 140lb.

I am really going to try to work out this week after being stuck with a strained shoulder for the last fortnight.
Im really worried I’m getting a “Mounjaro arse” my husband said I’m not, ChatGTB says otherwise!
Other recent wins.. I fit in to a size 10 pair of jeans and I’ve gone down 7 notches on my belt.
My measurements are also crazy now.. My waist has gone from 39 to 31 inches.
My thighs have gone from 24 to 21 inches.
Upper arms 14 down to 11.5 inches and my neck has gone from 16 to 12.5 inches.
The stigma around taking Mounjaro is crazy isn’t it! I had someone tell me she’d been using it since February but told me not to tell anyone because she doesn’t want to be judged (she told me because I noticed her weight loss and told her I took it)
Why the judgement with some people.. To me it’s no different to using a nicorette patch to quit smoking.

StrongGirlsLift · 29/03/2026 12:18

Those are amazing numbers @Gardener82, well done you! 7 belt notches, wow!

Thanks, I’m so pleased I decided to try Mounjaro, haven’t felt this good in years.
How’s everyone doing with side effects? I’ve had to order myself a memory foam seat cushion because my bum is killing me. Apparently a common problem because due to such fast fat loss, it should sort it self out according to Google within a month or so, can’t believe I now have such a boney arse it hurts to sit on it!

Colinthedaxi · 04/04/2026 17:30

Oooo I had my first “you’ve lost weight” yesterday and second today does wee happy dance

cobblers00 · 04/04/2026 19:32

I had a ‘you’re wasting away’ comment today - followed by a joky ‘not on the jabs are you’…. I’m not telling anyone so to barefaced lie to such a straight question was awkward for me. Although sometimes I actually forget I’m on them myself these days!!
recently went out for an evening meal & unconsciously over ate- was sick, not pleasant but a reminder that I def am on the jabs..
hows everyone else doing?
we’re a bit quiet on this thread compared to some of the other starting months!

Thanks @cobblers00 for reminding me that I forgot to post on Friday. I am 2lbs down this week, so have lost exactly a stone and a half. Also, it was my monthly waist and hip measuring day. I have now lost 5.5 inches from my waist and 3.5 from my hips.

How wonderful that your weight loss is being noticed, though! Brilliant stuff.

I recently had an unconscious overeating episode too. I wasn’t actually sick but I felt really nauseous for nearly the whole of the next day. It was miserable.

Isn’t it great, My neighbour asked me yesterday if I’d been unwell because I’ve lost so much weight?!? I happily told her I’m on WLI and am hoping to look like Kate Moss on the beach this summer.
@cobblers00I can completely get why you don’t want to tell people, so many people are judgmental, it’s really pathetic.

cobblers00 · 04/04/2026 20:45

Good for you @Gardener82
I went on a ‘hot’ break last week.. it was so wonderful to feel confident in beachwear.

I thought I would be honest but I wasn’t I just said I wasn’t eating much 🤣

i think this thread is quieter than the others because not many folk thought it was a clever idea to start jabbing just before Christmas! Much more aimed for “new year, new me”!

Ah I have had the same issue, its like my coccyx is suddenly sticking out loads, I have a job where I sit for hours and hours so its not ideal. I need to build more muscle on my backside now!!

I had my sons 18th party yesterday and hadnt seen a few people for a while so they noticed. I dont want to tell people anymore really but hate lying to people also when they comment.

One person a little while ago said 'your not on the jabs are you' with a disgusted look, she is a close friend who is very overweight due to alcohol and overeating, she also has lots of health conditions they are worse due to her weight. She doesnt meet the very specific NHS criteria (I am not sure shes tried to ask though). I think with her she is bothered by it as she is bigger than I was and also she cant afford it. Once she asked a few questions she seemed quite interested but it was all quite awkward. I couldn't lie as my son is her sons best friend and tells everyone who asks 😂 I work in a department alongside his at work and his colleagues mentioned i had lost weight and he told them all 🙈

Lovingthelighterevenings · 05/04/2026 17:26

I just realised I forgot to jab for a week. Oops. I'll try and remember tonight before I go to bed. My loss hasn't been massive (well taking the jabs might help 😀) but I'm happy enough and eating less. Still not got exercise and Uber healthy eating under control but hey.

I probably ought to order another pen (I'm assuming the one in the back of the fridge has a dose left for today!)

PivotPivotmakingmargaritas · 06/04/2026 00:57

I had two jabs in December then had to stop as had a very bad run of allergies and I was concerned with my body under stress that my body would try to get its next allergy WLI so I stopped for three months

Appetite stayed away for about 6 weeks then slowly returned…. What was the worst part was I ate worse as I had a mindset oh it’s ok I’ll be back on WLI soon so I ended up being heavier than my starting weight when I went back on Mounjaro… so I definitely need to work on my emotional relationship with food

StrongGirlsLift · 07/04/2026 09:01

It’s good to hear how you’re all doing, and interesting to hear that people are both noticing and commenting! Good luck all. @PivotPivotmakingmargaritas that sounds tough, are you back on WLI now? Good to be aware that the first six weeks off WLI may not be indicative of how it will feel over time.

I am basically losing 5lbs a month, slowly. I’m now at BMI 24.5. I’d set a tentative goal of 55kg (I’m 5’3) and am at 63kg. I’m not sure I quite want to go that far, but equally I have lots of fat on my belly and thighs still! I have stayed on WG 1.0 and have another 5 doses on hand at this level. I’m not sure whether to go up to 1.7mg, but at this rate it’s another four months at least, and I’m sure weight loss will slow! I do want to taper off. So, conservatively at least 6 more months for me.

I am finding running much easier (I’m faster!) and have managed to maintain most of my strength (the weight loss overlapped an injury). I’ve learned how small my portions have to be to lose weight (worried about figuring out maintenance!) and realised that my sedentary job and frequent work trips/pressures are a trigger. Still a lot to think about as I continue to lose.

Some of you must be approaching target weight now, right?

I started Nov, I got to target weight a couple of weeks ago, I'm 5ft 4 12 stone down to 8 stone 10 (55ish kg?), my target was actually 9 stone but lost a bit more as been ill this week. I actually found that once I started losing around 1-1.5lb a week then it stayed like that, occasionally a bit more so you may find it doesnt really change much. 5lb a month is decent. I find I have to be around BMI 21 (so under 9 stone) to have less belly fat unless I am really toned in which case I can go up to about 9 stone 4.
