Is there one yet? If not, should this be it? I’m starting tonight, so officially November, but hey! Am so nervous, woke up early this morning with anxiety. Would love tips from anyone who has started before on what / how to eat on first few days..I’m really concerned about debilitating side effects- should you just listen to your body or force yourself to eat chicken?! I keep seeing all these insta posts about eating protein!!

@Georocki started end nov. Im tracking food most days & usually around 1200 calories on a hungry day. Have drastically reduced portion sizes, cut out crap snacks & eating much cleaner - plus I exercise a lot anyway, so it has been a slow & steady loss. I’ve just gone up from 2.5 mournjaro to 3.75 - was on 2.5 for 2 months as had good suppression on it. I can’t imagine binge eating on it..& I used to scoff a lot of food before!!! So do you still feel tempted & hungry then? Do you not notice a difference at all? I hear for some people it just doesn’t work. How annoying. Will you try to up your dose again?

We’re away from today for a few days so I wasn’t going to be able to do my usual Friday weigh in…but felt moved for some reason to do it first thing this morning instead. I am down 2lb, so am very pleased with that.

@cobblers00, what a fantastic result being two sizes down! I am most impressed. You must feel great.

Gardener82 · 04/03/2026 19:28

How’s everyone doing?
Im still pleased with how it’s working and whoever it was who suggested I start weight training, Thankyou! I’m really starting to see the difference in stomach fat now, probably more to do with Mounjaro than exercise at this point but I’m still pleased I started.
Im really nervous about stopping Mounjaro but I can’t afford it forever. Anyone else have a plan for maintaining any weight they lose after?
This week has been terrible for me food wise, I’ve not really left my father in law’s hospital bed, and the only food options have been chips/sandwiches or crap from vending machines.. Not great that this is the option inside of the hospital.
I did manage to get home and took a photo to see the difference today and again very pleased.

@Gardener82 those photos are amazing! I really need to take some but I keep forgetting. I took ones before for my PT to do a comparison but my training has gone wayward. It would be good to take a 'thin' before and then one each month with more weight training. I literally have no bum or arms left at all which I'm annoyed about as I was doing so well. Need to up my game!

You should definitely take some photos, I’m finding that as I’m not losing pounds as quickly now that I’m using inches lost and photos as motivation to keep going.
Fitting into the pink top in my photos is a massive deal for me, I’ve had it years and it’s been sat in a drawer with a pile of.. One day I’ll fit into that again.

I have taken some, its actually quite crazy looking at the difference but I know if I had been doing the level of gym work I was before I'd look a million times better! Its not too late though so need a plan! They are in shorts and crop top as thats what the PT asks for so not sure anyone needs to see that on here 😂

StrongGirlsLift · 06/03/2026 16:25

Great photos! And great progress this week on the thread.

I fit into a work top I’ve been hoarding because I love the fabric and cut - I couldn’t get it past my shoulders last summer (even after I had begun to lose weight on low carb). Happy to have worn it again, though it will fit better a few pounds down.

I have had a very slow few weeks, also very stressful at home and work, but hit BMI 25.3 today: so close to a milestone! And I totally messed up my WLI order management so have ended up with another 1mg pen without actually reviewing if I should go up or not. I have plateaued quite a bit. I have lost 5lbs in the last month, so super slow but still notable.

Much better than the above, I have been feeling faster and more agile playing my sport, and my injury is holding up so much better without all the extra weight. I am determined to get that pull up in the gym, too!

Who’s still here/joined us at this three month mark? Hope you’re all keeping well.

Margaritawithlime · 07/03/2026 21:30

Hellooooo gang. Still here still going. Am microdosing at 6.25 (week 6 now I think) and have lost 38lbs total. I’m in awe of this incredible medicine and wish I’d started it years ago.
No other real updates - look better and feel better. I am better!

cobblers00 · 08/03/2026 09:32

Hi all
yep I’m still going strong too. 24lbs lost & on 3.75 mourjano. Have taken eye off ball in terms of calorie counting & protein intake last week or so but know I’m not overeating- 2lb down in the last 2 weeks so it’s slow & steady. I’m going shopping for some new clothes today! Well done @Margaritawithlimeand everybody else. It is indeed a miracle drug.

A 2lb loss this week, I went shopping this morning and got myself a new denim jacket.. Size 10! Whoop whoop, it feels so good to have a bit of confidence back!

Oh you legend! Ah, this sort of thing feels so good. I am so happy for you xxx

StrongGirlsLift · 15/03/2026 08:05

Hi! I had a whoosh this morning and have hit BMI <25, wohoo! I’m steeling myself for a rebound but hope to get comfortably into the range soon.

How are you all doing? I still have a lot of belly and thigh fat I’m not happy with. I haven’t got rid of any clothes yet but suspect some of my work clothes are too loose to look smart at this stage. I’ve already found a smaller size of a favourite top on Vinted!

It’s been 13 years since I was last this weight, so I’m adjusting to what it looks on me at 40+!

SexyFrenchDepression · 15/03/2026 22:08

@StrongGirlsLift amazing! Great milestone achieved!

My new exercise regime starts tomorrow, need to get my butt back and tone my arms/tummy again. Have weights out ready but need to figure out the most efficient/effective routine! I dont need variety, I just like to have a set routine. May look at Caroline Girvan videos!

SexyFrenchDepression · 15/03/2026 22:13

@StrongGirlsLift vinted is great, I bought some Lululemon leggings at the weekend but cannot afford more than one pair so got a black pair (as didnt want to chance getting second hand faded black ones) and then ordered 3 pairs from Vinted in same size for same price as one now I know my size.

I need to get selling on there, I am hoping to sort through my wardrobe tomorrow. Tried some old trousers on that were actually too tight at my thinnest and they are loose. Its so strange how my shape has changed, I think a lot of it is how the jabs sort out inflammation etc, plus I guess as I was doing lots of weights over the last year maybe my shape had changed under all the fat 😂

StrongGirlsLift · 16/03/2026 07:21

Ooh yes, good luck with Vinted! I have bought and sold a bit and never had an issue (except one parcel, which looked like an iPhone box, was slashed open by someone in transit - still made it to me as it was just something fragile in a box).

Weight lifting definitely changes shape and proportions, hope your return to training goes well.

I love how weight training changes your shape, when I was in my 20s I wanted to be thin, now I'd love to be athletic. I would like my waist back as I have lost a bit of shape. I think it will mean I can lose a bit more weight but not look too thin, I am looking a bit scrawny round my arms and bum for sure. Even at my thinnest I had chunky upper arms compared to the rest of me so even though I've had 4/5 months off regular weight training the time I had done before that must have changed them as now they are thin (juat wobbly 😂)

Need to be brave and not have a 'just in case' collection. Will keep a couple of pairs of bigger jeans for comfy chilling but not all of them. I need a good incentive for maintenance after!!

Gardener82 · 18/03/2026 20:46

How’s everybody doing? I have now got a healthy bmi which feels amazing.

StrongGirlsLift · 19/03/2026 07:56

That’s a big milestone @Gardener82, well done!

After my whoosh, a 1lb regain put me just back over 25 BMI as expected, but I’m at 24.99 this morning 😅.

I’m super happy with that after two weeks of work travel and meals out, which would normally cause bloating and weight gain.

I am still using WG 1.0 and trying to figure out whether to go to 1.7mg next month. I would like to lose another 5-10kg I think, but I am still losing slowly. I have had two bouts of sickness on 1.0mg and am not keen to have more!

cobblers00 · 20/03/2026 08:18

Morning, yep still going strong. Very slow& steady loss but 12kg off in total & I think I’d be happy with 3-4 more to get me to 62kg & more importantly for me a size 10. Weight training is really changing my body shape tho still can’t shift the apron belly after 2 c-sections.. it is shrinking tho! I’m on 3.75 from a 5mg mj pen. I would like to come off it / v low micro-dose by the summer as find it does restrict how much alcohol I can tolerate & I have been v nauseous & even sick myself a couple times after just two drinks! Other than that feeling great. Still a bit peeved that people I’ve not seen for a while haven’t commented on my losses - I’m sure it’s noticeable!?! but I guess people are either too polite or not as aware of my size as i thought! Be really interested to hear everyone’s plans for reducing/ stopping…

I'm still here. Not the fastest weight loser for sure - had a shaky month with flu/COVID/cold whatever, and then I forgot to take the jab for a few days so I'm a couple of weeks behind myself. But I increased the dose (or rather I didn't pay any intention when I ordered the next pen so it went up a dose) and all the side effects have gone. Given that starting this coincided with me stopping running and grey months when I don't even get many steps in, I know I could have done better. But for me it's a marathon not a sprint. I don't know that I've dropped a dress size yet but my trousers feel better ..

Tammy214 · 20/03/2026 09:24

i had planned at the start to come off after 4-5 months but now its likely to be 6-7 months. the aim is to maybe have a month at a very low dosage at the end before coming off after am satisfied with my weight loss but not sure yet, I might space out to dosages instead. I look forward to working with a PT to tone up after finishing the jabs and also to get me using weights, fatigue is too hugh right now for that and also money is being used for the jabs instead.
I brought a nice size 10 dress and aiming to be in that and my other size 10 bottoms before i stop, quite excited about that. currently comfortably in a size 12 and likely will move to a tight 10 in a couple of weeks.delaying first 10mg jab until after easter and a work trip as i cant afford to be ill

MrsTigerface · 20/03/2026 10:54

Slowest loser in the group here! Another 1lb off this week, making 19lb since my first jab on 3 December. I am exactly halfway along now, having another 19 to lose to get to my target weight.

I am starting to think about my exit strategy now.

Currently 3.75mg weekly and the plan is to stay on this, if possible. At the current rate of weight loss I am looking at reaching my target weight* sometime in the autumn. Once I do I was thinking to stay at the current dosage for a few weeks, then titrate down to 2.5mg, stay there for a few weeks and then do a few weeks on 1.25mg with the aim of being on MJ for a max of 6 months after target is reached, hopefully less than that.

At least that’s the plan for now.

(*When I was last at this weight I was mid to late 40s. It suited me then but whether it still will at 61 is another matter!)

ViciousChicken · 20/03/2026 20:06

It’s lovely reading all your updates, glad you’re all reaching those milestones.

I’ve lost 10kg and 4” off my waist since the start of December. Am now 9.5 stone and very nearly a size 10, BMI is 23. Im only taking 2.5mg of mounjaro and my loss has stalled for a couple of weeks. I think that’s ok and maybe my body needs to adjust to being at this weight. I hadn’t known what my target weight was but I think I’m aiming for 9st. My energy levels aren’t great and I want some wiggle room to build some muscle. My body looks a bit ‘deflated’ at the moment (particularly tummy and arms) but looks great in clothes!

StrongGirlsLift · 20/03/2026 21:49

@MrsTigerface if it’s any consolation, I’ve only lost 21lbs and I’m a week further along than you. Steady does it!

I have had a thoroughly rough month and feel especially drawn and tired in my face, but hoping some sunshine will balance that out.

I have tried on a couple of old dresses, one which feels just right and the other I may have to accept will never fit my rib cage without hanging weirdly on the rest of me. I think I’m going to have to retire my favourite palazzo trousers though - they’re looking a bit droopy. I will definitely buy a small size when the time comes.

Weirdest of all, my physio filmed me doing rehab exercises (horror, in cycling shorts) and when I watched it back, I didn’t think my legs looked fat - this is massive for me.

Still nowhere near a pull up though, despite having lost more weight than I used to use on the pull up assist machine.

BMI 23 @ViciousChicken, kudos! That’s just where I want to be.
