Is there one yet? If not, should this be it? I’m starting tonight, so officially November, but hey! Am so nervous, woke up early this morning with anxiety. Would love tips from anyone who has started before on what / how to eat on first few days..I’m really concerned about debilitating side effects- should you just listen to your body or force yourself to eat chicken?! I keep seeing all these insta posts about eating protein!!

I also didn’t lose this week but there was cake and a meal out just yesterday so I’m not surprised. I’ve taken a 3.75mg dose today so hopefully it will work for me.
My non scale victory is I bought a pair of size 10 jeans today. The 12’s fit me really nicely but the 10s fastened ok and as they have lots of stretch were quite comfortable despite a bit of a muffin top. Thought it would motivate me to keep going too. I’m the same as you @Gardener82, 2 months ago my 14s were tight and now getting into 12s easily. (I should add the jeans are Fat Face whose sizing I feel is generous!).

Doesn’t it feel good, I was looking in the mirror of the fitting room and actually getting excited. For the first time in a long time I can see myself hitting my target.
I weighed in again this morning, my normal weigh day is Sunday and I hadn’t lost but today I’m down 1lb from last week.. Officially the smallest I’ve been since 2022, YAY!!!
I was looking on my NHS app earlier and I’m down 20lbs since the weight my doctor took on 25th August. I didn’t start Mounjaro until the 7th Dec so a few pounds was my own doing but my god.. 20lbs gone has made my day, thank god for this jab.

Hi I’m on week 7, just feeling tempted by the golden dose but I’m scared. I watched a you tube video showing the pen being twisted to break so you can administer the last dose but understand the new pens can’t do this? How much is one dose of 2.5 if I bought a syringe?
also I still have my first month pen, will this be expired now over 30 days? I just watched a video about someone micro dosing with a pen over 2 months so maybe the 30 day expiry thing is just something they say to cover themselves?

MrsTigerface · 02/02/2026 19:59

Hi, @user1479317972 , this is the video I watched. The guy explains it all very well, including dosage.

This is the syringe I bought to extract the 5th dose.
https://ukmedi.co.uk/products/fms-micro-syringe-32g-8mm-1ml-fms-fms-32g-10ml-ukmedi-co-uk

I have seen a video of someone forcing a pen to twist for the 5th dose, but other people have said that even if you force it, the pen won’t plunge. I have no idea which is true, as I haven’t tried that method.

Expiry dates? Well, if it helps, last Friday I used the 5th dose from a pen I started on 3 December. I’m still alive 😃

Tammy214 · 03/02/2026 09:35

Just moved up to 7.5 ans started badly for myself and my partner, not hungry and neaseaous , first proper side effects. Hoping it stops soon, feels better today (injected sunday) and am going to attempt to eat .
I took stuff for reflux which helped, have probiotics and digestive enzymes that also helped.
Will decide after the next dose to see if I order the same again or go up . If it calms down and the next dose is OK will go up

Elephanttrunk · 03/02/2026 19:11

I took my first 5mg on Friday (2 months of 2.5 before that) and last night and today ive had an aching tummy, sulphur burps, gas and have to keep going the loo. I dont think anything I ate triggered it but who knows, hopefully it will settle soon as its making me a bit fed up now.

Gardener82 · 04/02/2026 13:31

I’ve just had a really shitty comment made about my weight loss. At work this morning (I work in retail) and I tried on a summer dress. I’ve been honest with people about the fact I’m taking Mounjaro as I don’t think it’s anything to hide.
Anyway a work colleague in the fitting room said to me.. You can see you’ve lost weight but aren’t you annoyed that you’ve spent all of that money and you are still the same shape as before so your weight loss doesn’t actually look good on you.
It was a summer dress I was trying on and I’ve lost nearly 2 stone since last summer.

I got the dress anyway and I’ve just took some pictures, the thing is she’s sort of right!
My arms/legs/back and face are all much smaller but I still have this belly, I look pregnant!
Im not at goal, still want to lose another stone and a half, preferably two. Will that sort it out or is there something I should be doing, any advice/tips/ welcome.
I’ll post pictures for context.

Oh @Gardener82 you look fab! Wear your dress with confidence!

I am shocked at the rudeness of your colleague. I’d be thinking “I can change my weight but you’ll always be a bitch!”

WLI doesn’t make us all into super models. We are healthier, lighter, leaner, and more hopeful, so who gives a fuck what shape we present to other people?

I’m really cross on your behalf, perhaps you can tell 🫣.

StrongGirlsLift · 04/02/2026 13:40

in answer to your actual question - the only things that have half a chance of changing our shape is heavy weight lifting, serious toning (hardcore Pilates etc), or surgery.

you may not love your torso but I’d kill for your legs 😬.

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 04/02/2026 14:03

Agree with the other comments but also, often stomach etc is the last to go… stick to your plan - it will go!

Thankyou, she’s such a bitch, always has been.
I hate exercise, all of it.. So soo much! But I do have a treadmill, peloton, punch bag and a set of weights.. I think im going to just have to go for it and see what happens.

MrsTigerface · 04/02/2026 14:37

Wow, @Gardener82, I am very impressed with your before and after pics. You look great! Please don’t let yourself feel deflated by your bitchy colleague, who is without a shadow of a doubt incredibly jealous of the impressive change in your appearance, and desperately wants to cut you back down to size. I also feel furious on your behalf.

PS I really like that dress!

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 04/02/2026 14:40

Just to add, I was despairing a month ago that I wasn’t losing around my waist/abdomen but it this last month, my waist and abdomen measurements have dropped by around 3 inches each, and a clothes size drop has been noticeable.

so, ignore your rude colleague - keep on going and by summertime it will change but she will still be rude!

They aren’t before and after, both taken today. I guess that proves that clothing really does make a difference.
Im going to start adding some exercise and forget her comment, she’s a snooty cow anyway so who cares.

StrongGirlsLift · 04/02/2026 17:51

@Gardener82 i’m a firm believer that there’s an exercise for everyone - you just have to find it! Things you can try at home:

Plank challenge (daily, no kit needed) - <a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=wl-brightside.cf.tsp.li/resize/728x/jpg/897/662/a6ca3c592e94bea16fb1097570.jpg&tbnid=E2xqrwhYrXjd4M&vet=1&imgrefurl=brightside.me/articles/i-took-the-30-day-plank-challenge-and-heres-what-happened-253410/&docid=wNbYNrTt4kJPTM&w=728&h=1503&hl=en-gb&source=sh/x/im/m1/3&kgs=14eb29140d8c45d4&shem=bdsle,isst,sumc,shrtsdl&utm_source=bdsle,isst,sumc,shrtsdl,sh/x/im/m1/3" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://share.google/9dxJeNLWPhmBRa3k7

Joe Wicks 16 week HIIT program, 20 min sessions a few times a week (makes a massive difference to shape, I’ve done it twice).

skipping - so much fun and such a challenge to learn new footwork. Loads of stuff on IG and YouTube.

weights - life changing for me, has reduced my back pain so much and I am developing good muscle tone.

boxing - wow! Awesome, do that!

cobblers00 · 04/02/2026 18:18

I’d suggest you take up boxing, and imagine it’s her in front of you… what a bitch!!! You look fabulous - it’s all her own demons she’s releasing.

@Gardener82 What a catty thing to say, she's clearly feeling unnerved by how much you've obviously lost. Some people just like to put people down!

I agree tummy fat is the last to go so keep going! And focus on strength and toning movements - nothing strenuous but repeat repeat repeat. That will bring your muscles tight and help get the shape you want, even while you're still losing the fat on top.

There's some really great core/midsection movement specialists on YouTube/tiktok - you don't even have to leave your house, and once you've learned a few basics you can do them in front of the telly!

MrsTigerface · 05/02/2026 09:56

Weighed in a day early this week as we’re out for a special meal today (you may or may not consider this cheating 🙂).

Only a pound down, but that does take me to an exact 1 stone loss since 3 December. It certainly beats not being a stone down since then!

I had forgotten that I’d taken measurements from my waist and hips, but did so again today and since the beginning of Jan I have lost another inch from my waist and half an inch from my hips, so that was pleasant to see.

I must do something about getting back into exercise next week. My gym pass is currently gathering dust…

ChristmasCalsDoCount · 05/02/2026 13:16

@MrsTigerfacewell done on reaching a stone! Enjoy your meal. It’s not cheating, it’s real life.

cobblers00 · 06/02/2026 08:52

A little movement on the scales this morning- only 1lb - but in total 1st 4lb down or 8.1kg since end Nov so pleased with that. My knickers are too big too so there’s a nsv!!! How’s everyone else getting on?

Thats fantastic!

I am shifting it slower now but just over 1kb a week for last few weeks. I feel slightly impatient but as long as the numbers go down its fine, and I'm not starving so its all good. Exactly 11lb to go to target but will try for a few lbs lower to give a bit of leeway. I imagine that 11lb will take as long to lose as the previous 2 stone 3lb!

Foodylicious · 07/02/2026 01:40

I hope you dont mind me checking in on here.
Bowels still not back to normal, so unfortunately not just taking a break, and I won't be starting the jab again.
I have managed to keep the kcal intake down, and now just about 9lbs down since min December, so it's alright for now.
Just need to stick with it!
Still need to up my protien and cook a bit more.

Margaritawithlime · 08/02/2026 08:50

@Foodylicious that’s frustrating things aren’t back to normal - I’m sorry. Well done on keeping the progress up though!
I’ve moved up to 6.25 this week as 5 just wasn’t doing it for me. I am still losing weight at a very steady rate but the cravings and food noise were back with vengeance and it was such a struggle. I don’t want to lose any quicker so hoping I can find a good balance and keep it tolerable while still eating! 30lbs total as of this week.

Haha! Ive noticed my pants are too big too.
I did wear the next size down jeans the other day, and whilst they did fit, they were not comfortable sitting down for long.
I think realistically it will be another half stone before the fit comfortably.

Thanks for your words of encouragement. Starting tomorrow even though I really don’t want to I’m going to start the Joe wickes challenge.
Im just telling myself that it’s something I’m going to have to do to look how I want to look.
I maintained this week (Disappointed but cheered myself up when I realised another pair of jeans that I hadn’t worn in a while are now to big) .. Not surprising because I’ve spent a lot of time sat in a hospital ward eating crap (FIL was rushed in) He is feeling a lot better today so I’m back on plan.
I’ve jabbed today so have 4 left in this pen and 5 in the next pen already purchased (I’ve included the golden dose) so that’s 10 weeks to try and get to target. I’d have to lose 3lb per week to get there which probably isn’t achievable but I really don’t want to spend more than I have already.
