Is there one yet? If not, should this be it? I’m starting tonight, so officially November, but hey! Am so nervous, woke up early this morning with anxiety. Would love tips from anyone who has started before on what / how to eat on first few days..I’m really concerned about debilitating side effects- should you just listen to your body or force yourself to eat chicken?! I keep seeing all these insta posts about eating protein!!

If anyone is looking to switch providers I have a code for £100 off with Numan

Ooh I might be, how much do they charge for 5mg do you know?

@cobblers00looks like full price of £239 for 5mg MJ. I’ve DM’d you the code in case it’s any good. 👍

I looked at the monj website and looks like there are a couple around £125 with first timer discount, most are over £140+ so depends on who you have used before Numan looks like a decent price.

Its frustrating as the ones who give the big discounts are more expensive without them so I am moving every jab at the moment.

Gardener82 · 25/01/2026 13:41

Just took my 8th jab and a 2lb loss. I’ve lost 15lb in 7 weeks which is pretty good going. Just got to do that two more times and I’m at my goal weight.
I’ve set up a Treadmill, bike and punchbag in my conservatory and we’ve also been looking at holidays.. This may be the first summer in donkeys that I’m going to feel confident around the pool.
I’ve also just checked my BMI and I’ve gone from 29.9 to 27.4, still overweight but it’s good to see it moving down.

MJbum · 25/01/2026 17:18

I’m feeling a bit mad and like I am stuck in a weight loss rut. No losses for 12 days. Took the golden dose this week and feeling less suppression generally… wondering if it’s time to go to 3.25mg. (Don’t fancy the full 5 in one go).

I have started exercising in this last fortnight, have drunk less water than I should, and am due my period. All reasons to expect to potentially stay the same.. so carrying on trucking.

I have gone from 83kg to 79kg and can wear a size down in my work trousers, so things have been happening! I am also glad for happy scale app, which I read about on MN, as I think it can help put your weight loss in context with the trend lines.

I would move up perhaps. From what I’ve read if you’ve not lost any weight and are feeling the suppression is wearing off then it may be time to move up.

Thanks just saw this.. I think I might be able to get it cheaper even with the code from Lloyds pharmacy according to monj. I’m still a week or so away from reordering and having the usual ‘do I go up a dose’ dilemma too! I’m also considering a 5mg pen & taking 3-3.75mg. Thanks though @ChristmasCalsDoCountx

Definitely worth trying a higher dose, I went to 3.75mg (45 clicks) and didn't really get any more side effects. Had nausea for a day or so about day 2/3 but I had generally got that on 2.5 anyway.

cobblers00 · 26/01/2026 12:54

Ugh just had one of the new M&S protein rich meals- beef brisket & butterbean. Disgusting tasteless slop. Wouldn’t advise!

Oh boo! That sounds right up my street so I’m thankful (and sorry) you’ve taken one for the team!
id highly recommend the microwave my protein meals you can get from coop. Think they do a wider range in Iceland and haven’t had those but the chilli, firecracker chicken and chicken curry are all delicious and perfect for the ‘oh crap I forgot to bring my lunch to work’ days!

Well done! I’ve also lost 15lb in 7 weeks. And 2.5” off my waist. BMI has dropped from 27 to 24.7 and now I’m just a whisker above 10 stone.
I took 5mg for 3 weeks but have dropped back to 2.5 this week as I’ve felt pretty rubbish recently (maybe side effects compounded by a cold virus). I’m struggling with being really fatigued and a bit nauseous in a morning. So breakfast is difficult. Does anyone else get this? I think the fatigue is stopping me from exercising as much as I’d like. I hope the drop in dose helps. I don’t mind the weight loss slowing as I don’t have that much to go now.

I was like that for the 1st month and occasionally now and then since. I was generally trying to have a protein shake (powder one made with milk) but I couldn't stomach it. Someone on MN suggested clear whey instead and its amazing, lovely flavours and easy to stomach. I used MyProtein and you can get a sample pack with loads of flavours.

I dropped back down from 3.75mg as I was ill but stuck to it for now to see how it goes as overall I feel a lot better. Appetite suppression is ok and I still get full quickly so will see how it goes.

MissBridgetJones · 27/01/2026 09:59

Morning lovelies!

It the strangest thing, I really didn't feel like my shape had changed much (apart from the shrinking norks....)

Trousers still ok etc. Then literally overnight everything is hanging off me. Whilst my weigh loss has reduced to around a kilo a week (sometimes less)

Anyone else found this - I need some new work trousers!

Also best place to 5mg pens? I'm using Juniper and it's expensive! £225

Thats fantastic!! I have definitely felt similar, weight was coming off but I went from everything fitting or being tight to it all being too big quite quickly. I spent basically 3 weeks in loungewear due to being unwell so it probably wasnt really overnight but felt like it.

Thanks @SexyFrenchDepression!

I wondering if I should start a swap shop! Pass on clothes as we shrink!

SexyFrenchDepression · 27/01/2026 10:28

@MissBridgetJones haha yes, that would be a great idea!

I bought a few cheapish bigger things but mostly was squeezing into old stuff. Once I am at target I am going to be ruthless and get rid of most of the big stuff!!

I tried both the M&S and Asda version, both not great and ended up in the bin 😕

Has anyone stalled in weeks 4/5? I’m on 2.5 for a second month , lost 12lb in fist 3 weeks and haven’t lost anything for last 2 weeks? I’m eating healthy and if anything I struggle to hit my calories. Am also weight training. Any tips would be welcome x

StrongGirlsLift · 28/01/2026 10:45

I did, @user1479317972, but that was Christmas-New Year for me, so I wasn’t surprised!

So far you have lost 2-3lbs a week averaged across the time period. I have lost 1-2lb a week by week 9. (I had lost weight through low carb last year so I wasn’t starting from scratch).

Most of the long term users report 1lb a week as their long term average, and I think most people see the biggest loss at first - there could be a lot of reasons. Could your first weigh in have been high because you weighed after the holidays?

Just keep on keeping on!

cobblers00 · 28/01/2026 15:07

Me @user1479317972- approaching 3 wks stuck at 70kg from starting point of 77.. tracking cals at no more than 13-1400 a day, also doing more weights & less cardio. Tape measure also stuck for last 2 weeks.. but one morning soon I’m gonna wake up & it’ll shift I’m sure!! When I was on body coach before he suggested only weighing & measuring monthly but others say do it daily. I don’t know but can’t do anymore than im
doing, & certainly don’t think eating less will help. Am considering going emul ever so slightly to 3mg only bcos I’m having to use a lot more willpower to avoid crappy foods but still can’t stomach much of them or big meals. I think the first few weeks set a precedent we expect will continue & it doesn’t work like that.

I have noticed that my scales are all over the place sometimes. I weigh on Sundays and after losing a lot in the first couple of weeks I’ve gone down 1/2lb per week.
The thing is though is that sometimes like last week I thought I’d check on Friday and it said I’d gained 4lb! But like I said dropped down again by Sunday, I have no idea why,

Tammy214 · 29/01/2026 11:06

i was disappointed to weigh myself after 10 days and not lost anything more, it was my last 5 injection last week, i also know i am in deficiet because i havent had a huge appitite but i struggled to have the right level of protien. disappointed but I will do better after my next injeciton on sunday, moving up to 7.5 is exciting and i will ensure i work harder on my protien intake.
I just brought a walking board to get my steps in during boring work meetings to help too

Colinthedaxi · 29/01/2026 19:11

For “protein meals” the Aldi Chef Select frozen meals are pretty tasty and very handy.

Did my seventh injection on Tuesday and for the first time I’ve got a hot itchy rash at the injection site. Been reading up and it’s not unusual but annoying none the less.

Have lost over 5kg and happy sticking to 2.5 for the moment, not desperate to loose it any faster.
