Is there one yet? If not, should this be it? I’m starting tonight, so officially November, but hey! Am so nervous, woke up early this morning with anxiety. Would love tips from anyone who has started before on what / how to eat on first few days..I’m really concerned about debilitating side effects- should you just listen to your body or force yourself to eat chicken?! I keep seeing all these insta posts about eating protein!!

@Margaritawithlime love that! I haven’t been sub 30 in a while, but being lighter makes it all so much easier. Love it when I’m fit for running.

That’s a brilliant first week! Congratulations

@McChubbleThank you, I hope it continues! 😊

cobblers00 · 14/12/2025 17:19

Yes well done @ViciousChicken - really good start.
Im another 1kg down - a couple of cms gone from thighs & hips too. However after injecting half a 2.5 dose yesterday I’m definitely feeling really hungry today. I think I’m gonna take the rest of the dose later.. I wanted as little of it in my system as possible for next weekend but at this rate I’ll be ravenous by then & realised it means i would need to do another half dose next weekend.
I really want to be a stone down by new year & a size 10 by March. Currently a 16.
Its good to share our goals here - I must get some fitness ones like you girls @Margaritawithlime @StrongGirlsLift💪🏻

We go to Paris in May. I keep visualising how much easier it will be to march round eurodisney with my two littles if I weigh a few stone less. For the first time in a long long time it feels possible.
@ViciousChicken great first week!
@cobblers00 let is know how you get one. Maybe spacing the dose will help? I don’t know enough about how it works!

Thanks @cobblers00and @Margaritawithlime- you’re not doing too badly yourselves!
Did my second jab this morning and not feeling as much appetite suppression as last week. Actually had quite a big Sunday dinner with friends this afternoon - probably not as much as I’d normally eat though. But also I was conscious of not looking like I was only eating a small amount. It will become clear I guess! 🤷‍♀️
I’m also thinking about fitness - that walking up hills will be easier and that it will be easier to motivate myself to get back on my bike if I weigh less. I doubt I’ll ever manage a pull up though!

Tammy214 · 14/12/2025 20:02

Did 2nd Jab at the weekend, I did notice by wed/thursday i felt the effects had significantly lessoned but saying that i dont feel i had a high amount of suppression. I wasnt eating until 1-2pm and as an early riser thats late for me.
i dont seem to have the same headache i had on the first dose which was a bit annoying but very managable. I didnt check weight as i dont expect to lose anything yet, i get back into the gym tomorrow so this should make checking the scales next week something to look forward to

cobblers00 · 14/12/2025 20:09

Just about to jab the remainder of the 1.25 after only taking 1.25 yesterday -I’m assuming it’s safe to do this? What does everyone think? I’m not over dosing as such as it should be 2.5 in one go.. but have read you shouldn’t inject less than so many days apart- do we think that applies to half doses? Daren’t ask on other threads for fear of getting flamed again 🤣

I was googling this last night after you’d mentioned it before. Do you order extra needles?
I can see the benefit and I wouldn’t worry about overdosing on more than one shot a week because as you said it is only half the amount.
From what I read the reason the instruction is not to do it is because of the risk of bacteria getting into the medication. I don’t see how though.

StrongGirlsLift · 14/12/2025 08:23

@QuirkyBrickSwan welcome! Great to focus on protein, hope you continue to build strength!

One of my long term goals is to be able to do pull ups - should be easier with less weight on my frame!

Yes! I’d love to get back to doing pull ups! I used to, about 3 years ago so I know it’s there!

First week - I’m down 1kg so happy with that and aware I need to focus on drinking more water.
I’m really enjoying the lack of noise. It’s so helpful!

Colinthedaxi · 15/12/2025 09:58

I continue to be a cheap date!! No food noise at all and I’m forcing myself to eat. Trying to get as much protein as I can, my carb addiction has vanished. I should have taken my second injection last night but I had a stinking headache (not that unusual, generally hormone linked) so I’m leaving it until Tuesday now to try reduce any cumulative effects. Might even consider micro dosing. Lost 3kg in the first week 😱. I guess it’s a nice problem to have but wary of long term effects too.

StrongGirlsLift · 15/12/2025 12:47

Hope your headache clears @Colinthedaxi.

We have to nourish ourselves and use those calories wisely! I have been having some oddball meals to try to get the protein in. Cottage cheese on the side of every plate 😂

ChristmasCalsDoCount · 15/12/2025 17:01

Headache check-in, fourth dose is due tomorrow and first migraine hit last night, came in fast and strong and lasted for about 20 hours. Lots of nausea but wasn’t actually sick. A few potential triggers, I had drunk wine the evening before and maybe hadn’t compensated with enough water? Hormonal? Or just one of those things? I’m just in that woozy post migraine state where I would normally be starving, and I am but trying not to go mad.

Letsstartnow · 15/12/2025 17:40

First jab this morning. Not sure I feel any different yet but know it's early days. Feeling quite hungry at the normal time so will have dinner and see how I feel. Fingers crossed!

Oh, but, I always feel better for eating if I have a migraine - don't deprive yourself!

Margaritawithlime · 15/12/2025 21:08

Oh man. I have a sore stomach this evening. Spending a lot of time of the loo. Not sure what’s set it off if anything. Perhaps some of the food I ate this weekend when friends were up. Yuk. Not enjoying it whatever it is.

Jami93 · 15/12/2025 21:21

I started on Saturday, took my first dose. Followed all the instructions properly but I didn’t even feel the needle going in and I’ve had no symptoms (a headache but tha might not be linked) at all. So now I’m worrying I did it wrong. Confused

SueblueNZ · 15/12/2025 21:36

@Jami93. I posted almost the same thing on Sunday - was convinced the Wegovy hadn’t actually been injected as I pulled the needle out too soon and hadn’t noticed ANY changes in 3 days. After listening to helpful advice here and re-reading the instructions I became convinced no liquid had gone in. And the wee window on the pen was still full.
So I injected again on Sunday. I could immediately feel the med in me and the window shows a reduction in fluid. Again I have not noticed any change but it might still happen.
My situation now is that I have 3 injections left in the pen but only two needles left. Maybe my next ones should be with a few extra clicks. Unlike Monaro, I don’t think you can extract leftover Wegovy with a syringe.

I am only on my 2nd dose , when i had my first i didnt really think anything was different, i had a slight headache for a few days but that was it. after a few days i realised i wasnt getting hungry until the afternoon and then remembering to eat.
however thats really the only difference along with a change in bowel movements. I did expect it as many dont feel it straight away and need a build up of doses, but many also feel it instantly.
give it some time and i wouldnt start changing the dosage just yet

Tammy214 · 16/12/2025 08:53

so i didnt weight myself last week as i felt the jab didnt do much, but i did weigh myself today after my 2nd dose on sat and lost 4lbs.
if i hadnt been logging my food intake i wouldnt have thought it had made much of a difference but the calorie deficit was definately there for most days.

Foodylicious · 16/12/2025 20:43

Hey!
After many months deliberating, I've started Wegovy this week.
1st jab had on Sunday.
Feeling alright so far, though have started on a half dose as I seem to be sensitive to most things.
Mild nausea and heartburn (but get those anyway, this is just a little different somehow) and am cold.
But thats about it.
Don't think I feel as hungry/impulsive, but probably too early to tell.

Gardener82 · 16/12/2025 21:16

I’m really annoyed today.
My first weigh in was on Friday and I’d lost 5lb, weighed today and I have gained 2lb back!
How?!? I’m on a maximum 1200 calories per day, running around at work in 12 hour
shifts, I don’t understand where I’ve gone wrong.
Could it be because I’m on my period this week, I don’t see how that would make me gain, anyone else?

@Gardener82that is dispiriting.. maybe ask on the more experienced users thread. I imagine periods would impact weight as usual though- you might drop loads the week after next?

So much better @cobblers00 thank you. Not sure why it didn’t occur to me before but I was put on antibiotics for my wisdom tooth so I’m wondering if it was that. Either way it has been and gone thank god!
@Gardener82 definitely not what’s happened! Don’t be disheartened. It’s probably your body freaking out at dropping weight and just hanging on to water. Drink lots and keep going and it will sort itself out I’m sure. Have you got an app like happy scale? If you’re a regular weigher it will track and give you a trend over time. It’s totally normal to bob up and down.

StrongGirlsLift · 16/12/2025 22:45

@Gardener82 I’ve been through the same thing, with weird weight fluctuations around my period. Also, remember anything salty or carby will cause you to hold more water temporarily, and also as bowel moments slow down (one of the ways GLP-1s cause feelings of satiety), you may be temporarily holding weight. We just have to be in it for the long haul.

I had exactly the same emotional reaction to being 1.8lbs up today, so I get it!
