How much weight can I expect to lose after my first month of 2.5 mounjaro?

I’m starting mounjaro soon and have a wedding to attend in a months time, just wanted to know how much weight I can expect to lose by then?

Between 0 and around 1 to 2 pounds a week, so maybe 4 to 8 pounds. Possibly a bit more if you are a very high starting weight as you can sometimes get a larger drop in the first week on a calorie reduced diet.

I lost a stone and a half. That was combined with a very restrictive diet though.

it depends a lot how much you have to lose. My goal was 2 stone / 13kg which took 4 months but if someone was very overweight they could lose that in a month. Also how strict you can be.

I lost 2.5kg, so about 5.5lbs.

I’m 6 months in and have lost about 2 and a half stone overall. I did the first month on 2.5mg and have been on 5mg ever since. I started with a BMI of 38 and am now at 32.

I lost nothing. Didn’t really start to lose until I went up to 7.5mg but then I lost over 5 1/2 stone. My starting weight was 17st 4lb

As you can see, everyone has wildly different experiences. Anywhere between nothing at all and a stone, I’d say.

Eat well, get your protein and water in, that’s my best tip. Good luck!

People’s Starting BMI doesn’t always have an affect. Some of the people with a little to lose have lost quickly, others with lots to lose have. TBH a lot of people seem to virtually starve themselves and not eat much. Which might mean they lose quickly but might also mean they quickly put it back on at the other end.

I didn't starved myself if that's what you're implying. I hit my TDEE every day, 3 meals a day and a dessert. Hitting around 90g of protein a day. 3 litres of water

Nothing in first month. Finally started losing half way through second month after it's gone up to 5. But it's been a slow process overall for me

No that wasn’t directed at you. I’m just saying I’ve seen a lot of people who have lost a lot of stones very quickly, particularly on Facebook and Insta, who openly admit they make the most of not being able to eat and just have one tiny meal a day.
I lost quite a lot in the first two months or so, then it slowed down a lot. Six months later and I’m just about managing 1lb a week.

Starting BMI 36.9, lost 10lbs in the first month. Went straight to 5mg and lost 11lb in the second month.

I lost 6lbs in my first week, I think it was water weight snd inflammation, I then lost an average of 1.5 lbs after, some weeks 1 lbs, some 2. Started at bmi 32 and now bmi 20, been maintaining for about 7 months,

I’m not sure that is true, I look at the whay did you eat threads and as much as portion size isn’t mentioned so hard to tell, most , not all seem to eat healthy, and looking at thr monthly threads most lose 1 - 2lbs a week.

I lost 23lb in my first month, but I had a huge amount to lose, my starting BMI was 53 and I went from daily binge eating and no exercise at all to small healthy meals and walking everywhere.

I now do loads of exercise every day, drink at least 4l of water and eat meals full of protein and fresh veg. I’ve lost over 12 stone and am almost at target now.
