We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

I have had 2 C sections so saggy tummy, after weight loss and lots of sunshine my tummy looks like a shrivelled walnut! But I really don't care.
Yesterday I met 3 school friends..we are all 70 this year. We live all over UK..London, Harrogate, Newcastle and Leeds. We went to The Ivy in Harrogate (I usually go to Wetherspoons) but it had a January deal. One friend has lost an eye from cancer so she had a silver sequin eyepatch on. Anyway due to my weight loss I felt fabulous ..they were all so complimentary. I swear we were the most glamorous people there as we really like to look good ...so happy!

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2026 22:14

Yesterday sounds lovely @Azuresky68

@FurForksSake same tho I wear tankini on holiday so roll it up when sunbathing but if walking about tummy is covered

I love lidl bran flakes! I used to buy their fibre bran stuff but seemed to have stopped selling it. I add a handful to yoghurt and fruit rather than have with milk.
@Azuresky68 I love that you felt great 👍

NippyNinjaCrab · 31/01/2026 08:06

Twas me regarding the Lidl bran flakes @morbidcuriosity but I haven't been to Lidl yet. I will report back. X

Celebrating my 70th all year long. Went to Day Fever yesterday. 3pm - 8 pm it was a blast. Spent most of my time dancing on stage. Losts of compliments on my dress..I actually got if from a fancy dress shop years ago so it's a bit big now 😅😅😅

What a lovely photo @Azuresky68!

Morning Auggies. Still here, still reading! I still have weight to lose but that's fine. I have just booked a holiday to Sicily in August with friends. A year ago I couldn't have done this. It's going to be hot but lots of relaxing. It's given me an incentive to carry on losing weight. And a renewed realisation of how little my world was when I was very fat.

The chat here is still so useful to me. I haven't got much useful to add but am loving the support and humour

Azuresky68 · 01/02/2026 14:33

@Motnight how lovely to be going to Sicily...always wanted to go 🌞🇮🇹 have you seen the White Lotus series that was set in Sicily..looks amazing. Nice to hear from you 🙂

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2026 17:11

You look fabulous @Azuresky68
@Motnight I've not posted much but have been trying to. I do read and love the updates too like you.

I am going to make overnight oats for the morning. I have my shake for lunch and we are having chilli for dinner. We normally have it with tortilla chips, sour cream and cheese but we will have it with the recommended portion of rice tomorrow, 62g I believe 😋
I make it from scratch so I need to put it all into the nutracheck then portion it. Its not going to be an exact calorie count.
I have decided to weigh myself next on Friday the 27th of February. I really dont want to be getting a pen, the money could be going to something else at the moment (vet bill, new van, house things)

In the words of Melania Trump...

Here we go again 🙄 xx

FurForksSake · 01/02/2026 20:31

Evening! Well it’s been a bit of an eats day. Jab tomorrow! It’s actually been a bit of a treat weekend. Yesterday was kfc but I had the rice bowl with spicy chicken and no chips so that was good. I really like the rice bowls.

Today I had M&S Greek yoghurt with vanilla for breakfast, it was lower in protein and higher in fat that I like so I won’t buy that again.

Had a jam doughnut midafternoon ( hungry boys back from camp). Dinner was steak, salad, chips and onion rings. I had two chips and three onion rings. And then a bowl of crumble and custard, dh gave me double the amount I’d have given myself and I ate it. I need to make sure I serve myself, he gets annoyed about that.

Back on it tomorrow, could have been a lot worse.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2026 21:27

Why don’t you weigh weekly @NippyNinjaCrab as hopefully will motivate you losing lb each week

OP posts:
NippyNinjaCrab · 01/02/2026 21:45

@FurForksSake ooooh crumble and custard yum I love that!

@Blondeshavemorefun because if i dont lose i will give up because there's no cost involved. If I weigh Friday and I haven't pooed I will be so fed up, whereas if I stick to it, feel good and weigh and lose something I will keep going. X

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2026 22:18

Makes sense my little Crustian and we are all behind you an anyone else who still wants to lose

It's 2+ weeks since I jabbed (I'm one month on and one month off) and I'm still finding that in general I am eating much less than previously. My fridge is full of leftovers. I have a portion of broccoli soup, the last of the overnight oats with yogurt and fruit, some chilli and some veg. We're going on holiday on Tuesday and I have already bought dinner for tomorrow (a prawn curry). I hate food waste but I still haven't got used to eating fewer meals or not finishing, or having smaller portions, and not snacking. I over-buy.

@Blondeshavemorefun how was the purple dress for today's event?

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2026 23:23

I still over buy. But do freeze

yes was a good day thanks. Now at work. Baby fed and over shoulder

@FFShave a look at the pour moi bikinis with high waisted bottoms to cover the lower tummy. They are really comfy and supportive bikinis with plenty of coverage. They are expensive but they have good sales and you can find them on vinted too.

@Motnightsicily is lovely have a wonderful time, we went a few years ago and it is on our list to go back one day. There's so much to see and do!

WorriedRelative · 02/02/2026 14:21

@NippyNinjaCrabif you struggle to eat well after breakfast have you thought about trying intermittent fasting?

16:8 is a bit tough but for women 14:10 is supposed to be enough. I close my eating window after my evening meal then the next morning no breakfast just water and black coffee until lunch. I am less likely to snack that way and don't find I have more lunch as a result.

Alternatively try a high protein and low carb breakfast to avoid the munchies. A boiled egg would be quick and easy.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/02/2026 14:25

I fancy a dippy egg now but thy never seem to be runny for me

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 02/02/2026 14:27

afternoon! I’ve jabbed today, 40 clicks. I’m worried it won’t be enough, there apparently 8.33mg. We shall see how this week goes. I keep saying I’ll stick on the number of clicks but then I get to Monday and decide my week was ok and lower. I’ve dropped twenty clicks over 3-4 weeks? Maybe?

next week I will stick at forty and then drop the week after I think. I’m worried it will suddenly get hard!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/02/2026 17:40

It does get hard. I was ok till 5. Pain level generally ok tho today very stiff but wet weather doesn’t help

Ha ha getting that dippyness right is tough!

NippyNinjaCrab · 02/02/2026 20:09

@WorriedRelative thank you 😊 and yes I have a large breakfast and with MJ it was okay but off it I need to be super sensible. I forgot to boil eggs yesterday for eating cold. I went 67 calories over my limit today. In my defence I didn't realise the shake I had for lunch was 500 calories!!! 500 ffs!! Wtaf!!

Once I realised I wanted to save the other half but it said drink the same day. What a swizz. That's one for the watching for sure.

I have tried IF and did enjoy it. Because I take a few meds now in the morning if like to have food in my stomach. I will consider it, I wonder maybe doing certain days might work. I would need to look that up, what do you think?

FurForksSake · 02/02/2026 20:24

@NippyNinjaCrab I had that with protein shakes the other day. I was very annoyed that I missed the calorie count and that it was a complete meal. It has got a decent whack of protein and vitamins but it was not what I intended!
