We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

only 2 words to say 😂😂

Your food doesn’t sound that bad compared to mine

@Blondeshavemorefun I think you just have to get used to this dose. We all have hungry days. But also your metabolism is working much more like normal (more than it was last year), so take your time. Don't panic. stick to your plan.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/01/2026 21:47

I’m just worried @20bloodypounds. One week on it and I’m at th top end of my ballpark.

im eating too much crap.

I Honestly didn’t think I had food noise. The way people used to talk about it

but I’m def noticing it more now on low doses

morbidcuriosity · 10/01/2026 22:25

Sounds like 5mg might be your sweet spot @Blondeshavemorefun . Have you tried 3.75 from a 5 instead of 2.5? . Might be worth a go , or just go back up to 5mg.

FurForksSake · 10/01/2026 22:32

I was thinking about how naturally slim people eat. My physio I often see with her food as she eats at her desk between appointments (private). Her food always looks delicious but hard work. This week she had a lunch box with cooked chicken breast in some sort of spice, roasted vegetables and grains. Very balanced, probably quite yummy but super healthy. I am assuming she also eats porridge with seeds and fruit at breakfast and snacks on veg.

My mind still isn’t in that place. I still choose convenient and satiating foods in smaller quantities over nutritionous and delicious but high effort meals.

that’s my task for the next six months. Properly embed eating like a slim person.

I’ve heard good things about deliciously Ella and I really need to get to grips with it all.

Yestersay I ate my selection box from Christmas and no other meals. That’s ok as a one off, but I can’t let that become normal or ok.

Azuresky68 · 11/01/2026 01:02

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/01/2026 21:06

Jeez. I can’t stop eating tonight

And bad stuff

Lasagne and veg for lunch - that was fine

tea - party food stuff from freezer:Xmas - little satay squeezers - duck rolls - garlic prawns - 3 x crisps - crunchie bar - chocolate biscuits

I’m like the hungry caterpillar

is or in my mind or is it low 2.5

🙀😢😢😢

Sounds delicious but naughty!

poppym12 · 10/01/2026 21:11

I'm sorry too @Azuresky68. II wish I'd known you were already out here when I arrived as we could have sorted something sooner. I'm also back here in March but staying further down the coast.

So you love the place as much as we do!! Only discovered it 3 years ago and now we come as often as possible..for 20 years I had no money and rarely had holidays...making up for it now. When we are home we save very carefully..no expensive meals out in UK...why bother when it details our health goals and my weight loss maintenance. Think I will have gained after a month away but will find it easy to be strict when back home

Azuresky68 · 11/01/2026 01:17

Why is Christmas so difficult when it comes to eating healthy 😫....why do we feel the need to stock up on the most unhealthy fattening sugary food for one day and then are still eating it over a week later...it seems like emotional eating or being given permission to eat all the wrong stuff for more than a month...I don't know the answer but it's a massive pressure when you think how well we have done then Christmas tends to derail us.. good luck to all of us in losing the post Christmas pounds...mine will be due to having alcohol every day rather than food 😱

Azuresky68 · 11/01/2026 01:20

FurForksSake · 10/01/2026 21:26

Im fretting because im eating like this on a high dose! I wasn’t last Christmas.

Maintenance is a different ball game unfortunately 😕 but maybe get rid of all the 'bad' food now?

FurForksSake · 11/01/2026 06:43

There isn’t much left and I couldn’t with the family.

morbidcuriosity · 11/01/2026 08:35

Any of you guys still freezing? I got from dunelm a duvet cover set. "Teddy Bear" it's marked up at £22 but scanned in at £15, big sale on.
Omg! It's so warm and lovely. They had different colours but lots were sold out, I ended up with brown, but seriously the best £15 I spent in a while..

20bloodypounds · 11/01/2026 08:42

@FurForksSake M&S have bruoght out a range of Nutrient Dense meals
https://www.marksandspencer.com/food/l/food-brands/nutrient-dense www.marksandspencer.com/food/l/food-brands/nutrient-dense]]]] which were developed for people on diets who need to pack as much nutrition as possible into their smaller meals. Even copying their ingredients could be good place to start. Also what M&S do, the other supermarkets usually copy, so we may see more of these types of meal easily available.

I'm sitting on the sofa, in cosy pjs, wrapped in a blanket, wearing socks and cashmere wrist warmers (Christmas present). The rain is lashing against the window and I think the sound of the wind and rain makes it feel colder than it actually is.

morbidcuriosity · 11/01/2026 08:53

I was in M&S yesterday, saw them meals. But they were £7 . Far too much for what they are i think..

Totally! I first came here in 1990 and it was very different then. I go to other places too but this is my go-to, especially when travelling alone (which I like to do at least a couple of times per year).

FurForksSake · 11/01/2026 09:06

I think they are expensive, but the concept is good and copying the recipes / ideas is a good plan.

We had take away last night and that is a real rare thing. I chose a chicken burger which was really nice and had a lovely dry slaw in it. Much healthier than the smash cheese burgers! I’ve realised I don’t really like chips so I only had the burger and not all the sides.

Today is toast dinner day, lean gammon, mash and piles of veg. So lots of nutrients!

im going to do some meal planning for the week after next for breakfasts and lunches. Really think about nutrients and balance.

i was so much better six months ago at getting my protein and fibre in. I am still tracking and loosely within my range, but my macros are crap.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/01/2026 11:01

@morbidcuriosity I don’t know. Do I stick with 2.5 for the month of jan like I said an see what final weight is

or go back to 5

i eat 4 meals daily healthy /in my calories - it’s just the extra nibbling I’m doing tho never had Just eaten chocolate @FurForksSake

@Azuresky68 I’m even thinking of giving my 4 boxes of chocolate biscuits to ex dh as I’m def munching on those though out the day

hello blI des . Come and eat me

while they sit on the sofa looking at me ffs

@morbidcuriosity. Always cold. Have 15 tog duvet and warm fluffy blanket from Temu

@20bloodypounds I do like a Micro meal exp the nights I work as just easier to shove in Air fryer /micro while I put mini blondes to bed but £7 is past my budget

the nice Aldi meal are £3/4

im not a lover of chips really

I think while losing we were all better at fibre and protein

now for those who are maintaining it’s more relaxed /harder

I don’t really like the protein meals I’ve tried in Aldi. Started off nice but my taste buds changed and dislike them now /find the sauce quite tangy

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 11/01/2026 11:50

I just found M&S have some lunch ready meals / salads? For £3.50. I’m ordering those for next week. The nutrition ones.

I think Aldi healthy ready meals might be the thing to do.

I first came 30 years ago but can't remember anything about the place! The started coming with my other half 3 years ago ...it's become 'our place' Chile is on my bucket list though

Azuresky68 · 11/01/2026 12:42

@Blondeshavemorefun I might of missed your weigh in this Friday...did you STS?
I will be back to calorie counting as from tomorrow and will easily cut out the alcohol. Back to high protein and low carbs, lots of veg and water. It's a lot easier to control what eat when not in holiday mode. Other half is keen to keep his weight off too which helps.
Highly recommend cooking gammon or bacon joint in the slow cooker for a good supply of ham ..much cheaper than buying packets of sliced ham

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/01/2026 12:48

I’m in my ballpark but top end which I have been before but usually Lower/middle end 10.4 - 10.7

fri was 10.7 and I don’t want to be 10.8 +

so it’s not like I havent been this weight before but just seems weird I am again and on 2.5

it’s possible I may be back to 10.5/6 next fri

but as on 2.5 im starting to fret an def eat bad stuff

and why i said I would do a month :ha on 2.5 but a week in and im …… 🙀🙀🙀

think you are on 10 @Azuresky68and @FurForksSake 7.5 and I was fine on that but really don’t want to and can’t afford really to stay that high

Chile is just amazing - such a variety. Bubbling mud pools and geysers in the north in the Atacama desert, great beaches, fantastic culture in Valparaiso, The snow capped volcanos of the Lake district, the glaciers of Torres del Paine. And of course Easter Island.

Pumplepolly · 11/01/2026 15:21

Cheeky ask since I am a lurker and not a contributer but your talk of the holidays has tempted me.
Can you recommend accomodation in that location?
I promise to come back and share my August 24 insights as I've had some dramas! 😁

Pumplepolly · 11/01/2026 15:43

Also - is it warm enough to swim?

NippyNinjaCrab · 11/01/2026 19:42

Helloo, its Sunday and I have been healthy most days. Thursday i made chilli with sour cream and nachos OMG it is one of my fave meals. Friday I said we could have the leftover with pasta. I was planning on whole wheat pasta.....

I made rigatoni with the chilli mixed in, put that on a tray, layered cheese sauce over that, a layer of nachos then a layer of grated cheese. It was super nice but obviously calorie heavy.

Sat we went a walk together before DH went to the football, did 6.5 miles with this gammy body and boy I have paid for it today but I felt so good doing it yesterday. The walks are all around our cottage and just fabulous. DH bought himself a chicken tikka calzone for dinner and got me a small one. It is my first ever calzone, I had a small slice.

My tummy doesn't like all this rich claggy food, I felt fab Mon to Thursday. I did feel because I did a meal plan for the food shopping i hadn't any rubbish to eat, if I felt snacky I had some almonds or a tangerine.

Whats a halfway point for us all @Blondeshavemorefun xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/01/2026 20:54

A lurker @Pumplepolly 🙀😂 - welcome - but you are an original auggies 24?

@NippyNinjaCrab that sounds very very high in calories - do you guess/put it in mfp?

today I tried to be so good

b protein shake and fruit
l bagel beef cheese pepper cucumber grapes

t fell slightly as out longer than I had planned and then due to work mini blondes got a maccy d. So I do bit just a chicken burger. No chips etc for 400c so I didn’t think too bad

still in my 1800c
