7th jab done this pm. Didn’t hurt at all 🎉
Still on 2.5mg still finding it hard to eat up to 1000 calories a day.
Reaching my protein goals and weight training 1-3 times a week depending on schedule.
It’s nice to feel less sick as my body has adjusted.

Thanks everyone. The last few years have been rough, but never again will I say "surely next year can't be worse" because it feels like I'm tempting the universe!

I'm trying to control what I can (hence MJ and losing weight).

Hopefully 2026 can be a year we all progress along the paths we want xx

Thank you Caly. Much appreciated!

is anyone else EXHAUSTED??? I’m sleeping pretty long hours but finding I need a nap when I get home from work and then want my bed by 9.30! Anyone else? Or anyone got any tips on how to cope? I’m never particularly spritely but since I went up to 3.75 I feel like I hit a brick wall every day!

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 02/12/2025 21:25

I have found that since I’ve gone up to 5 mg days 2/3 are the worst for tiredness - I’ve had to take myself of for a mid afternoon nap whilst wfh on day 2 twice now - I’m in bed no later than 10 and don’t get up till gone 7?as well.

a colleague has said it will improve so I’m just keeping going for now but I think by jab 10, if it hasn’t improved then I’ll stay at 5mg for a second month.

This is why I’m trying to stick on 2.5. It took me a month to stop feeling like that.

As you weigh less, you also need to eat less calories to maintain that weight (which seems really mean but there you go 😂).

I've done 7 weeks now, lost 8.9kg or 19.6lbs which I'm really pleased with. I'm hoping to lose another 3-4kg before Christmas.

We're not actually doing anything Christmas related this December, it feels like forced festivity which we don't want after a really rough year, so that helps with less food temptation (and I don't drink anyway).

Just to top off a really shit year (4th miscarriage, dad diagnosed with Alzheimer's and losing our baby girl at 22 weeks pregnant due to an infection that could have killed me) my gran passed away yesterday. She had a really great innings but it's always sad to have to say goodbye x

So sorry you’ve had such a awful year and I’m so sorry about your gran, sending all my love xx

Hi all, I was wondering what we are all doing for exercise at the moment - e.g what types, how long a session and how often? I do like exercise but am struggling with tiredness and feeling weak - I also broke my leg in the summer so am only just getting back to exercising after a long time of being immobile - and am obese which makes it hard!! I’m aiming for walking on treadmill for half hour twice a week, strength training for 40 mins twice a week and swimming twice a week. Finding it hard to actually achieve though as I just feel knackered!!

6 times a week is a lot, if you do 4 you should feel good! Don't pressure yourself if you're struggling with energy and time. You can build up as you get fitter and stronger. With the gym, do you have someone helping you with a plan? I've found this really helps me.

I make sure I walk (lots!) - not fast, just getting my steps in daily, and then I go to the gym 2-3 times a week and run 2-3 times a week. But bear in mind this isn't new to me, I've been super fit before (CrossFit/weightlifting etc) and done long distance running in the past too.

Calyx72 · 03/12/2025 20:45

That’s one of the reasons I am going to increase calories (see my earlier posts about reverse dieting) - I want to lift weights for my fat loss and my bone density. I am super motivated. But I was too knackered to even try to do it more than one exercise once a week.
I plan three or 4 times a week lifting, treadmill 2 or 3 times a week and one rest day

Calyx72 · 03/12/2025 20:49

Sent too soon
i have ordered the Ironlift Ignite (Innodigym P1 Light if you are in the US) it’s due to be delivered tomorrow. In my 10th floor tiny flat I think it will be a game changer for my husband and I Grin

Calyx72 · 03/12/2025 20:53

(All I am doing just now is 30 squats a day while brushing my teeth!)

More than me!

Re. Exercise, I really need to step it up in the new year here, usually do about 8000 steps a day and then netball for an hour each week and a gym class but it’s definitely not enough.

I’ve just sorted my injection prescription for over Xmas, was technically due to increase to 7.5mg but I’m going to stay on 5mg for a third month as still experiencing suppression and weight loss and don’t want to feel like I don’t want to eat anything over the festive period. Anyone else planning on staying on their current dose or increasing in next few weeks? I think it’s a very personal decision.

SexyFrenchDepression · 04/12/2025 09:58

@cheekysausage123 same, I have been so slack, was going 3 times a week and now hardly at all, got out of it as was too exhausted first couple of weeks. Rubbish i know! I have been more active though generally.

I did 5 doses from my 1st pen (2.5mg then slightly more for 5th dose). Just done 3.75mg this morning so will see how that goes. I will have had 3 weeks on it by xmas day so hopefully any side effects will have gone by then.

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 04/12/2025 10:21

@cheekysausage123 I went up to 5 mg after 5th dose from 2.5 mg and planned to go to 7.5 after that but 2 jabs in at 5mg and the fatigue on days 2-4 is unreal. I’m now thinking I will stay with 5mg or even drop a bit to say 4mg for another month to allow more time to adapt.

I’m not so much worried about suppression over Christmas as I am now jabbing on Saturday evening or Sunday morning and most going out over the next few weeks is on a Saturday night so levels are at their lowest.

Shitzngiggles · 04/12/2025 11:41

@cheekysausage123 I'm planning on staying on 5mg for a 3rd month which will take me over Christmas. I'm still getting reasonable suppression and more importantly still no cravings. Weight loss has slowed right down though but I can't imagine eating any less than I already do. Minimal side effects as well so another reason not to go up a dose unless I really have to.

Elliebearblues · 04/12/2025 12:48

i was meant to get back to the gym again this week but I’ve only gone and strained my arm putting storage units together last week so it really just aches and throbs, it dosnt help I’ve been packing Christmas presents and that’s the hand I use to change gears in the car. I’m gutted I can’t get back to the gym again. I have been keeping my steps up though. This week looks like a gain weight wise but it’s not from overeating as my portions as small but I think it’s my body holding onto water as I’ve had lunch out yesterday and curry for tea yesterday etc… I got to try and look at the bigger picture and realise it’s not actual fat I’ve gained.

I've been on 5mg for 5weeks so far suppression is pretty good , I do have those moments that I am hungry but to be honest I don’t want to constantly feel like i can’t eat like some others , this suppression is enough to see me through the Christmas period but still be able to enjoy.. saying that when I was out yesterday for lunch I had festive chips which had Turkey, pigs in blankets and gravy on it and I couldn’t finish it which is a first for me with a meal out so obviously shows the jab is working Even today at day6 as my jab is due tomorrow and I only managed half a sandwich for lunch today which is unheard of xx

Shitzngiggles · 04/12/2025 13:17

I seem to really struggle to eat lunch but can eat a reasonable size dinner, so should hopefully enjoy my christmas dinner. Not bothered about pudding or sweets though so that's a real bonus.

I think it has worked out well for me as I am due to jab on Xmas day so will be my hungriest day so I will wait to late afternoon to jab instead.

Shitzngiggles · 04/12/2025 16:31

@SexyFrenchDepression I'm due to jab Christmas day as well, I'll probably jab on the Friday instead .

Moosey898 · 04/12/2025 16:59

So pleased today - week 9 run 1, 30 min nonstop! Really didn't think I'd be able to get back into running so quickly after losing Ava but I'm so proud of myself for not giving up x

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 04/12/2025 18:13

Well done @Moosey898 that’s a great achievement, especially with the weather being so grim today too!

jaelato1 · 04/12/2025 18:52

@Moosey898Yes Girl!! You did it. Amazing achievement 👏 👌

My jab is also due on Christmas but I'll jab as normal since I do it at night
