I've also just had my order rejected! Tried to order a 5mg pen, but they queried my gap and asked questions, which I was foolishly honest with, using microdosing to taper off hence the gap isn't that long, and now they are saying they may not prescribe another as I've misused it!
Off to look for another provider now...

Oooh, that’s harsh !
Hope you find a more sympathetic provider soon. Seems they don’t appreciate your honesty and loyalty …..

Apprenante · 27/11/2025 18:47

I think you're right about going to a lower dose @ElsieJay. You've been losing on a lower dose as far as I can remember so maybe you just don't need to go up? Sorry you've been poorly.

ElsieJay · 27/11/2025 19:32

Thanks, @Apprenante - that’s my thinking too.
I didn’t seem to lose any faster after increasing from 2.5, and have now had two bouts of sickness in four weeks at the higher dose.
Worrying comments re continuity of supply from @stripesdotsdashes above thread , though ……🤔

stripesdotsdashes · 27/11/2025 20:47

They've come back to me tonight saying I can order a 2.5mg pen. So my advice is if you have a gap of more than a month don't try and order a 5mg pen! I should have thought it through and feel a bit stupid. Just feels so much money ugh...

ElsieJay · 27/11/2025 13:06

Hello all , good to catch up on what you’ve been up to - that “welcome to the family” lunch sounded amazing, @PinkScot !
And great NSV with the tape measure, @Gingercar 🏆.
@SussexLass87 - I feel the same way about the food advertising everywhere at the moment.

I’ve been MIA since Monday - horrible D&V , haven’t eaten from Sunday lunchtime until one piece of dry toast this morning - so think my stomach must be well and truly empty at last . I should have jabbed yesterday , but holding off until the weekend at least.
Annoyingly I have two unused 5mg pens in the fridge, but think may recommence dosing at 2.5 as this is my second bout of tummy trouble since upping to 3.75 four weeks ago .
Seems like too much of a coincidence - what do you think , fellow May starters ?

Ah no @ElsieJay - look after yourself and rest up!

Well that's annoying. I think quite a few of us got multiple pens before the price rises.

ive just placed an order for a 7.5mg pen and a picture of my last 7.5mg pen is dated 29/09… lets see..

Gingercar · 27/11/2025 22:35

I’m gutted that I think I’m going to have to order again, as the weight loss has slowed so much. I’ve still got four pens stock piled and could really do with ordering after Xmas. Part of me thinks I should just give up after the pens I have finish. I’m still getting no feeling of fullness, despite being up to 10mg now. I’m still using lots of (waning) willpower. And I’m sometimes wondering why I’m spending all this money (that I don’t really have spare). But then I think if I stop and struggle even more I’m stuffed because my bmi is almost under the limit for qualifying if I need to start again. Hmmm. Dithering dithering!

Kbr22 · 27/11/2025 22:51

Well, I have just done a complete wardrobe clear out. Unfortunately it is nearly empty but for good reasons. I have found a few size 14 clothes I had forgotten about so that was exciting that I can now get in them, and I found a couple of size 12 jeans, albeit skinny ones that fit. I might try and buy a size 14 wide jeans and see how those look. I just don’t want to panic buy size 14’s in case I ever get to a 12! But over all a good few days. My weigh in day tomorrow and I think I have put on,but not beating myself up and will try and have a better week next week.

SignedUpAgain · 28/11/2025 00:27

Been on this nearly 6 months. Started with you all at the start of May.

said then I’d give it 6 months.

25kg lost
5 “ off my chest
6” off my waist
5” off my hips.

into size 16/18 clothes for first time in ages ( from 20/22 shapeless stuff).

going to keep going. Feel great. So much more confidence already.

tried lifting an actual 25kg weight ( my son has a big weighted bag thing for working out) Could hardly lift it off the ground.

how have I been logging that around for years, my poor heart and knees/ ankles.

SussexLass87 · 28/11/2025 07:40

Another week down and a gain this week! 2lbs. Grrr! Still no sugar and very low carbs so that's a bit frustrating.

It's pushed me back over the stone mark which is annoying.

I'm giving myself a mini sulk then pulling myself together and getting on with another week! Particularly motivated as I'm seeing some friends next week for the first time in a year...they know I'm on MJ after they all started complaining about it in June.

Took great pleasure in telling them I was on it 😂

ElsieJay · 28/11/2025 10:19

Aaah, that’s disappointing for you , @SussexLass87 - but sounds like you have plans in place for dealing with the blip. Meeting up with your friends will be great motivation too - hope they are suitably chastened when they see the New You !

Following the horrendous D & V this week , I lost 3lbs at weigh in this morning - so finally got my “whoosh”, just not in the way I would have liked …..
Hoping I can maintain at least some of that loss going forward. I’m not eating / fancying anything much, keeping fluids up but can’t stomach tea or coffee as yet .
Onwards and downwards !

Placestogo · 28/11/2025 11:50

a loss is a loss no matter which way it came about!

how annoying @SussexLass87 it’s disheartening enough when the dial doesnt bulge…. Ive been hovering a few lbs away from the 3 stones mark for the past month and it has been very frustrating…

ive been doing 2mg every 4 days so essentially 4mg a week roughly. Im going to increase to 2.5mg because i have lost only 1 kg this past month…
i think k the fact that the weather is colder, im less out and about and i crave starvhy food has a lot to answer this. I dont really want to increase past 5mg as im really worried about maintenance (and cost) and would like to be able to maintain on a very low dose (like 1.25mg a week?). But lets see. My bmi is still 28….
I’ve successfully ordered and got approved a new 7.5mg pen despite a two month gap. It was with heySlim. Maybe a new pharmacy that is not too regarding and wants to maximise profits… i had to submit only one pic, without any date/order number. Felt strangely too easy… ( it was the cheapest of mounj spreadsheet)

Tonight: dinner party, ive just finsibed my tiramisu bayleys… it is going to be good!!

SussexLass87 · 28/11/2025 13:41

Thank you both! Yup agree - so frustrating when you're trying hard!

Congrats @ElsieJay - a good result but I'm sorry that you're still so poorly. Sending get well wishes. Thank you for always being kind and positive.

Thank you @Placestogo - much appreciated! You definitely deserve that tiramisu. That's good news about your new pen x

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 29/11/2025 07:47

Small loss this week, but in total in 7 months I'm down:
24.2kg / 53.3 lbs / 3.8 stones
Went from 109.9 kg to 85.7 (242 lbs to 189)

I get very frustrated when I only lose 5-6 lbs a month, but it's all adding up, and that's important.

I just started my 2nd 10mg pen. I'm planning to move to 12.5mg after Christmas.

My BMI is also down from 37+ to 29.3.

But not seen massive changes in clothes..I was 18 (probably getting to the 18+ stage but refused to move up a size again)...now 16s are still good. I have a feeling when I lose these next 6-8 lbs my clothes size will shift again. But for now, I'm feeling amazing in the 16s, they all fit without being too tight, without needing to squeeze into them etc so definitely happy about that

Oh and taking comparison pictures every month is amazing, the 7 month difference is unbelievable.

Still have about 18kg/40lbs/2.8 st to go.

SutekhsEars · 29/11/2025 11:06

Amazing Panda! Well done!

SutekhsEars · 29/11/2025 11:09

I've also ordered from HeySlim, @Placestogo . 🤞 mine is approved too.
Lost a kg this week. Goodness knows how, as I've been on the fish finger sandwiches again. I went back to my GP - although I'm not properly ill with the chest infection anymore, I'm definitely not quite right. Chest x-ray & bloods next week.

ElsieJay · 29/11/2025 16:42

Thanks for your lovely kind words, @SussexLass87 ! 😊 ❤️.
Feeling much better (and hungrier 🙄) today so am trying to concentrate on the protein despite my body craving carbs!
Well done on your great progress, @PandaIsMySpiritAnimal. Slow and steady better for us in the end.
Sorry to hear you’re not completely recovered as yet, @SutekhsEars. Nuisance having to have tests at this busy time of year, but glad the GP isn’t just fobbing you off when you know you aren’t feeling as you should.
Fingers crossed they will come up with some definitive answers and a speedy solution 💐.

ElsieJay · 30/11/2025 10:26

@Placestogo : was re-reading the thread for inspiration, and missed that you’d successfully purchased a 7.5 pen from a new supplier, what a relief . Your Baileys tiramisu sounds mouthwatering !
I resumed jabs this morning but only having 2.5mg from my 5mg pen, better safe than sorry. Still a bit queasy, had salmon for tea last night and binned half my portion, and not back to tea or coffee as yet.
Busy week ahead so need to woman up ! 💪

Placestogo · 30/11/2025 12:22

I have increased from 4mg every 8 days to 5mg every 8 days. I have been drinking wine and snacking staying the same for too long. I really dont want to increase past 5mg because i worry the higher i go, the harder maintenance will be.
went shopping on friday and for the first time in ages i felt like i could try whatever i fancied rather than whatever would fit me. Such a good feeling!
only downside is now i have a nicer figure, lots of clothes look good on me BUT i find some look far too young on me for my almost 50years old me. I feel as if my “style” got stuck in my 30s and i need to dress my age now (yes im looking at you oliver bonas and your colourful young clothes) maybe hobbs/jigsaw might be better suited (i did buy a hobbs jumper on the sale, very nice and grown up but a lot more boring than OB!)

Oysterblue · 30/11/2025 12:43

Always enjoy reading this thread, fellow May-ers, but don’t often post. My weight loss has very much slowed six months on but my body composition is still changing. Very few of my old clothes fit. Though my Renpho scales are not showing much muscle gain I’ve been doing regular weight training at the gym for the last two months. Feel that it is translating into an altered body shape - whatever the scales say! Anyhow was just about to cart off some Hobbs skirts and a dress to the charity shop when I thought I’d take a punt and have them altered at my local dry cleaners. Bingo. Two inches off the waist for the skirts and two inches off the bust for the dress and they fit and look like new. Feeling rather chuffed.

SussexLass87 · 30/11/2025 16:50

I'm the same re style now that my body is looking a bit different. DH says it looks completely different but I still can't quite see it myself yet.

Jeans have been a funny one - everything felt dated and didn't suit me. Now I've found skinny flares are flattering and I feel comfortable in them.

It meant trying on a lot of jeans though...which has got to be the worst feeling in the world!!

HereIGoOnceMore · 30/11/2025 18:16

Hi everyone, Friday was my 6 month anniversary, as I only just squeaked into May. I’m 2 Lb from 9 stone so very close to goal. In a perfect world, I would have done it in 6 months just to be tidy, but I’m feeling confident that I’ll make it by Christmas and that’s OK. It’s a weird feeling to know that I’ve actually done it.

In less good news, I had a clothes try on earlier in the week in a changing room with all round mirrors. I’m reasonably happy with my shrunken backside, but oh my days, my varicose veins look terrible. No one noticed when I went out in public in shorts back in the summer, did they? Blush

Seahorsesplendour · 30/11/2025 19:02

@HereIGoOnceMore of course they didn’t notice!! They were too busy thinking how great & confident you looked & how they wish they could rock your look!!!!

Seahorsesplendour · 30/11/2025 19:09

@SussexLass87 i haven’t managed to find any jeans I like on me yet! I’ve tried a few styles in a few shops then walked out in a strip cos nothing is right!!!! I’m living in one pair of cords & leggings as nothing else fits!!! 🙈
