@ElsieJay sorry you’ve been so rough again!!! Hope this week is better!!

we had a tough week! My wife is just learning about what triggers her gall stone pain & is eating like a sparrow do the weight has dropped off her (but not a recommended weight loss technique!!! She’s felt so bad!! )

my ds who has additional needs has really struggled with this but mostly finding school a huge challenge atm! To say I’ve been comfort eating is an understatement! I’m hoping this week is better! I haven’t dared step on the scales!!!!

hope everyone’s weeks get off to a positive start!

Apprenante · 30/11/2025 19:21

❤️ to @ElsieMay and ❤️ to @SeahorseSplendour . I hope things look up for you both very soon.

Gingercar · 30/11/2025 19:22

My poor husband has had a d+v bug since Friday evening and has lost 8 kilos! I haven’t lost that much in the last two months!! He really didn’t need to lose weight, he’s the opposite of me, so looks weak and gaunt. Hopefully it’s just a bug. He seems to be able to eat again. I always worry about him, he’s had so many bowel operations over the years.

Seahorsesplendour · 30/11/2025 19:39

Thanks @Apprenante

@Gingercar sorry to hear about your husband & hope it does clear up for him swiftly 🩵

ElsieJay · 30/11/2025 20:58

Thank you , @Apprenante and @Seahorsesplendour - think I’m on the mend now, just being a bit picky with my food at the moment.
Aaah, Seashorse - Your poor DW !
Seems like trial and error until she finds what foods don’t trigger an attack. Are there any known ones to avoid , or does it vary with the individual ?
@Gingercar - commiserations to your DH, I know exactly how he must feel, and it’s not pleasant ( apart from the weight loss I guess).
I’ve had a couple of bowel ops too and any bouts of D & V make me, and my DH, anxious. Still not 100% a week later but thankfully didn’t morph into anything needing medical intervention. Hope he’s feeling much better very soon! 💐

Seahorsesplendour · 30/11/2025 19:09

@SussexLass87 i haven’t managed to find any jeans I like on me yet! I’ve tried a few styles in a few shops then walked out in a strip cos nothing is right!!!! I’m living in one pair of cords & leggings as nothing else fits!!! 🙈

Edited

I feel your pain! I love Marks & Spencer jeans so decided I was only going there...but like you was living in leggings 😆

Gingercar · 30/11/2025 21:46

Oh gosh @ElsieJay im sorry you’ve had bowel troubles too. You’ll get where we are. Touch wood he’s doing ok, but he’s just weak. It does make me nervous. His weight loss makes him look like he did when he last came out of hospital after being v ill. But hey ho, he’s ok.

@Seahorsesplendour are they not going to remove the gallstones? I hope she’s more comfortable.

Placestogo · 01/12/2025 06:07

I hope everyone will get better very soon.
i was wondering if anyoneone had notices joint pain since on MJ?
my knees hurt! But it doesnt make semse because they are carrg a lot less weight today than 6 months ago. Also i did not have knee pain before!!
i do one yoga class and one weight or bootcamp session a week so no impact. Not sure if linked to MJ or not or whT to do…

HereIGoOnceMore · 01/12/2025 09:42

Jeans is something of a bete noir for me at the moment. I’m delighted that I’m a smaller size, but Mounjaro hadn’t helped me grow any taller and the current wide legged high waisted versions don’t fit me in any size. Length wise, they drag along the floor even if I wear platform trainers and my waist is not anywhere near my armpits!

SutekhsEars · 01/12/2025 14:39

Hope everyone is on the mend. Sorry so many of us have been unwell recently.

Seahorsesplendour · 01/12/2025 20:25

@ElsieJay fat is the big thing to avoid which is really hard!! She’s diabetic as well so is struggling to not replace fat with sugar 🤦‍♀️ carbs seem to be the thing that varies , technically ok but bread & potatoes really don’t agree with her! pasta & rice seem ok!! She’s already gluten intolerant so planning family meals is fun!! 🙈

@Gingercar shes had a surgical referral done at diagnosis but told could be a few months before she’s seen.

@Placestogo i also have knee pain. Always had clicky / dodgy knees from working with children in my teen / young adult years plus being overweight for all that time! I’ve had lots more pain since losing weight!

GP reckons it’s just wear & tear or a possible muscle strain and has given me excercises to do I csn post the link if your interested. Only just started but have been doing a lot of LWR knee strengthening excercises which have also helped.

I have found RICE technique & a bandage just worn sporadically to help reduce swelling has helped too.

Gingercar · 02/12/2025 08:16

Well I managed to catch my husband’s bug and spent 24 hours in bed. Thankfully not as bad as he was, but I am 3lbs down after putting a lb on last week!

PinkScot · 02/12/2025 08:49

Morning losers! Hope everyone is on the mend this morning. I have an exciting announcement after 7 months, 31 jabs and much dedication to the protein and my fitness pal I hit my goal ✨🌟⭐️🌟✨🌟⭐️
A few stats, I lost 3 stone 6, 48 pounds, 6 inches off my bust, 9 inches off my waist 9.5 inches off my hips. My arse is non existent 🤣.
My blood pressure is normal I’m off the meds. I have few menopause symptoms now and my ulcerative colitis symptoms have disappeared.

SW 15.6. GW 12.0 bmi 25

happy happy bunny right here

I’ve decided to just carry on with 1400 cals for next couple of weeks but I might eat them all instead of trying to go under…see how my scales say that works. Any tips for navigating the maintenance? I’ve never been here before it’s new territory and I’ve not been this weight since I was 19 many moons ago.

@PinkScot - Congratulations !!
Fantastic news , what an achievement. 💐 🥂🍾 🥳 xxx

SutekhsEars · 02/12/2025 08:55

Well done Pink!

Apprenante · 02/12/2025 09:00

Very well done @PinkScot. No advice for maintaining as I'm still at least a stone away from that but there is a maintainer thread. Might have some useful thoughts? But you have to still post here!

Apprenante · 02/12/2025 09:03

@Gingercar that is not the way to do it! I hope you're feeling better now, but that the 3lb stays away.

What an exceptionally kind husband you have - sharing everything, even his germs.

Placestogo · 02/12/2025 09:29

Fantastic news @PinkScot!!! What an achievement! Hopefully a few of us will join you at GE in the next couple of months! 🥳

Gingercar · 02/12/2025 11:13

We’ll done @PinkScot 👏👏👏

Herewegoagain80 · 02/12/2025 11:17

It’s been a while since I posted on these threads but I’ve been plodding along in the background. Well done to everyone who is still here and sticking with it, there has been some awesome results.

It was 7 months ago today that I had my first injection and I’ve had a total loss of 3 stone and 1 pound. I’ve been hovering at a loss of just under 3 stone for the past few weeks so it’s been great to get over that barrier.

I have no idea what my goal weight is but I definitely still have quite a lot to lose…maybe 1-2 stone. I’m currently just under 12 stone and I haven’t weighed less than 11 stone since I was 16 years old so I daren’t even imagine what that would be like. I’ll let you know when I get there!

Placestogo · 03/12/2025 07:38

Ooh im rubbish at maths!!! Can you help please?
i have a 5mg pen. I want a 2.5mg dose.
I could do only 14 clicks (a full 2.5 dose is 30 clicks)
i extracted using a syringe 26 mg?ml? Thinking that a full 5mg dose is 60mg/ml?

can you confirm that what i did was ok? Or did i do not enough/too mich? Thank you!!!
ps: lost 0.7kg which is a whoosh after STS for 2 weeks

SutekhsEars · 03/12/2025 07:46

So you've done 14 clicks + 26ml? I think you've taken a bit too much.
A 5mg dose would be 60 clicks or 60ml. So you wanted 30 clicks or 30ml.
I think you've taken the equivalent of 40 clicks or 40ml. Is this your first titrating down dose? It won't be a problem, just a slightly more gradual reduction.
Disclaimer: I was on the 'why can't you sleep' thread at 4 this morning, so hopefully someone with a better grasp on the day will be along shortly!

SutekhsEars · 03/12/2025 07:48

Apologies, I was thinking of Pink when I mentioned titrating down.

Placestogo · 03/12/2025 08:22

@SutekhsEars thanks! I was also on the “why cant you sleep” at 3am…. I can see where i went wrong! 14+26=40 not 30… i knew something wasnt right…. Thanks for checking the maths. It is my 2nd time titrating up at 2.5mg. It is ok, but it is nice to know

SussexLass87 · 03/12/2025 08:23

@PinkScot Congratulations! That must be the best feeling 💕🔆💕
