Gosh @ElsieJay your poor DH! I must say, I'd read a book of your pastimes quite happily. I wonder if I'm at a different life stage or living an empty life in comparison. I would like what you have, please.
We moved into our dream home last year and are still financially recovering. It's a 250-year old cottage and the roof developed leaks in two places over Christmas. That killed any surplus we'd managed to claw back from solicitor fees and the like. By this point I hoped we'd have fruit trees planted and some internal redecoration done but it's a big property (compared to what I'm used to) and just cleaning it is killing me. I would love to make friends in the local area but I'm socially awkward to begin with. I'm great in small doses, which helps my career, but leaves me lonely in real life.
Sometimes I think about leaving my partner and buying a much smaller place on my own, like I had before. I'm trying not to wuss out. The house is gorgeous and the children are happy and my partner is lovely.
My dad would have loved it.
@notgonnafail It's lovely to hear from you. When I was reading your post I was thinking, I hope we get so much data from folks being on WLI that disparities in thyroid medication doses and HRT needs are highlighted much more starkly. The NHS' windows of 'normal' are so vast and they need to be shot at with plenty of data.
Data analyst head very much on here!
