Hello all ! No new clothes shopping as yet , @Apprenante , but finally made space in the wardrobe , so …. 🛍️.
At the minute I’m enjoying getting in to things I haven’t worn for ages . Will need to buy some summer clothes for sure ( when it finally stops raining ☔️ ).
On last night’s local news they said we’ve had rain every day since Boxing Day …. , so am feeling your pain, @Seahorsesplendour .

That steps App sounds great fun , @SussexLass87 . I’m struggling to cope with an updated WW app at the moment, as soon as I’ve conquered that I will be downloading the flower-picking one .Wishing you the very best of luck with the new job !

@lissie123 - huge congratulations on reaching your goal weight ! 🥂 🍾. It’s a weird feeling isn’t it .
I’m trying to maintain also , wouldn’t mind a few more lbs off but certainly not wanting a gain . Having said that, I was 2 lbs up this morning, not having weighed for a fortnight.
I know I’ve not been eating as much protein or drinking as much water as I should , also foolishly had a couple of baking days and of course couldn’t resist sampling ….

@Gingercar - have booked to see Hamnet with a friend on Sunday morning. DH didnt fancy it , so he gets a lie-in. Will be sure to take some tissues , just in case.

No real news, except we’ve booked our Cyprus flights for Easter - this year, there’s a week separating the Christian and Greek Orthodox one, so we get to enjoy both.
Twice as much fun, at least four times the calories.
But both grandchildren will be home, so we’re all very excited .
Onwards and downwards/ upwards/ sideways !

Oh lovely - a sunny, warm holiday to look forward to! Just what's needed right now in this wettest of February's!

Enjoy the planning and anticipation - half the fun I always think ⛱️🤩💐🌺

Seahorsesplendour · 06/02/2026 07:11

@SussexLass87 that is a lot of balls up in the air!!!!! you rock!! I’m in awe!!!! 💐

I’ve had to put my Masters on hold for the moment sadly as just one too many things to focus on!!!!

that app sounds great!!! I’m a bit obsessed with steps atm so that’s a well timed mention thanks!!

now if this bloomin rain ever stops we might be able to do some of them outside!! I’m not a fair weather person generally I’ll brave the elements in all sorts but boy it’s wearing me down now!!

At least it’s Friday!!!!!

hope everyone has a good one!!

Back at you 💪💪💪 I'm sorry about your masters - that must be really hard and disappointing. I hope there's a point in the future that you can pick it up again 💐

Seahorsesplendour · 06/02/2026 19:18

@SussexLass87 its is dissapointing but it’s the right thing for now which is all we can do isn’t it!! My ds has been with my parents today so I managed a super long workout and generally a bit of me time which was lovely!!

@ElsieJay i hadn’t realised that!!! No wonder everywhere is so saturated!!!!! How lovely to have a sunny holiday to look forward to!!! 😆🤗

I’ve finally come on period today so hoping my chocolate and bread cravings subside rapidly now!!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

SussexLass87 · 06/02/2026 19:36

A much needed whoosh and morale boost this morning: 3lbs loss. I'm now at my pre Christmas weight (sigh) but getting there!

I walked a lot this week, drank so much water and ate small, regular meals (even when I wasn't hungry)...I also updated my TDEE which gave me more daily calories. I ate them this week and must have needed them!

Whoop Wow GIF by H&Z Management Consulting

That’s excellent news, @SussexLass87 !

SutekhsEars · 07/02/2026 09:01

Sorry about your masters, Seahorse. I hope you can pick it up again one day.
Well done Sussex!
Half a kg off for me today, which I don't feel is entirely deserved. I don't know what's wrong with me, I'm eating even when I feel full. It's like full-on self-sabotage. 🤷‍♀️

Apprenante · 07/02/2026 11:04

Half a kilo is a good result @SutekhsEars . Whatever you're doing, it's clearly not self-sabotage!

Great result for you too @SussexLass87. Isn't it amazing how eating a little bit more sometimes helps with a loss?

@Seahorsesplendour Maybe the opportunity to do the masters will still be there when you're ready for it? Looking back from my advanced age I realise now that not everything has to be accomplished quickly.

A holiday to look forward to @ElsieJay . Looking at the miserable weather here that sounds amazing. I love the Gifs you post!

Well except for some interesting scars I seem to have recovered completely from the 'severe concussion' apart from a total loss of memory from 12 hours before to 12 hours after the fall. I can't carry on using it as an excuse to eat ..... I'm very keen to reach 10 stone but still hovering around 10 2. So near and yet so far!

Foreveronaplane · 08/02/2026 00:26

thank you for your posts - loving reading them as January has been meh (the rain is sooooooo depressing) and scales stubbornly static.

@ElsieJay Enjoy your holiday (& the sunshine)
@Apprenanteim glad you are recovering from your fall
@lissie123@SussexLass87 Great results 💪🏻
@Seahorsesplendourim sorry about your Masters - sometimes you have to make tough choices. You will get back to it soon.

HereIGoOnceMore · 08/02/2026 12:35

Hi everyone, lovely to read everyone’s updates, congratulations on the new job @SussexLass87 and glad to hear you are recovering @Apprenante we might be plodding along, but at least we’re plodding towards spring and hopefully some warmer weather.

I’ve always historically eaten better in summer and turned to stodge in winter so I am hoping to taper off the jabs and maintain my better habits once hibernation season is over. As a back up though, I have ordered a pen from Pharmulous who allow restarting after a gap of up to 1 year, so if plan A doesn’t work, I have a plan B.

We’ve also booked a summer holiday and a weekend break so I have things in the diary to look forward to and am idly wondering about new clothes. Unfortunately, MJ may have slimmed my legs down, but my varicose veins still won’t look good in shorts, but at least I can wear skirts without chub rub.

Seahorsesplendour · 08/02/2026 18:34

Ah thanks everyone!! It was a tough decision but the right one for us as a family right now ! Who knows what the future holds!! I’m feeling fairly resigned & more positive after a lovely walk in the sunshine today!!

@SussexLass87 im a little obsessed with the Pikmin bloom app now I’m starting to understand what the heck I’m doing 😂 it’s a lovely diversion!!

Haha...it gets you doesn't it?!

I only joined it so I could play with my son - now I'm obsessed with my step count 😂😂

SutekhsEars · 08/02/2026 21:25

Well I did a bit better today - went to warm up some soup for lunch and found my porridge still in the microwave - I'd forgotten to eat it. 🤣

Apprenante · 08/02/2026 21:48

@SutekhsEars 😂😂😂

ElsieJay · 10/02/2026 17:09

Glad you’re on the mend, @Apprenante - must be weird having that missing 24 hours, though.
@Seahorsesplendour - what is this mysterious “sunshine” of which you speak ??
P’ing down here yet again …..😡 ☔️.
@HereIGoOnceMore - agree it’s a nice feeling to have breaks/ holidays in the diary, it’s the only thing keeping me smiling on days like this … ☔️☔️.
….Except for the thought of your cold porridge, @SutekhsEars ! 🤢🤣🤣

Roll on Spring !!!

SutekhsEars · 10/02/2026 22:03

I put it in the fridge and warmed it up next day @ElsieJay . It had my collagen in - I'm not wasting that - far too expensive!

SutekhsEars · 13/02/2026 08:25

Morning everyone! How's everyone doing? Hope the bruises are fading @Apprenante .
Does anyone have plans for the weekend/half term? I'm mostly going to be 'supervising' GCSE revision - i.e. bringing regular snacks and threatening to confiscate DC's phone!

Apprenante · 13/02/2026 09:10

Bruises have all gone, thank you @SutekhsEars . And the scars are hidden under my hair so all's well. 💛

notgonnafail · 14/02/2026 10:49

Have missed so much in my absence! Hope everyone is doing ok, you all seem to have had ups, downs and everything in between! Hugs to all!

I am finally back up to 5mg spread over the week and my weightloss seems to have finally kicked off again (and seems much easier on my side effect wise having dropped down my doses and then built slowly back up). I've lost the weight I put back on, and am down just under 5kg since New Year. My overall weightloss still minimal in comparison with all of you, but at 21lbs off now I'm happy. I'd like to get another 6kg off to be below 100kg (about 15st 10lbs) as haven't been that low in more than twenty years. Feeling hopeful I'm on the way again now, so hoping the losses continue and the SEs remain minimal.

ElsieJay · 14/02/2026 13:42

That’s sounding very positive , @notgonnafail - and you seem much happier in yourself too . Losing 5kg since New Year is amazing ! 🤩

Had a lovely day out ( coffee, shopping , lunch, more shopping 🛍️ ) with my two oldest friends this week . Need to return a sweatshirt to M & S as the medium size is ginormous on me , can’t even see my hands when the sleeves are down . Very pleased with their wide-leg jeans in a size 12 , and a cotton jumper from Seasalt in ( wait for it ) size 10. Makes the early days of nausea and exhaustion well worth it.

Good luck 🍀 with the GCSE revision, @SutekhsEars - I well remember those days . Worse than doing your own exams IMHO .

ElsieJay · 15/02/2026 14:54

Has anyone tried the Puriton whole food nutrition sachets ?
I bought a starter pack, thinking they’d be a quick and easy way to boost my protein intake, but don’t think I’ll buy again.
Plan was to have them stirred into 0% Greek yoghurt but didn’t like that at all - now trying with skim milk as a shake, all natural ingredients and flavours etc, but not feeling the love thus far.

I feel your pain .. GCSE Food & Nutrition practical for DD2 on Tuesday. I hope to never see Butternutsquash soup ever again! 🤣

ElsieJay · 15/02/2026 18:10

Just been looking back on previous “May 2025 starters “threads and calculated that since October 2022 I have lost an elephant’s penis, a chihuahua and half a guinea pig.

It’s made my Sunday evening !

notgonnafail · 16/02/2026 15:32

@ElsieJay I didn't get on with Purition at all, but I am one of those that doesn't get on well with stevia, so the fact they use that as the sweetener meant I just couldn't adapt to them. Was such a shame as the other ingredients were perfect.

Seahorsesplendour · 16/02/2026 22:00

Hiya all! Hope everyone’s week is getting off to a calm start!! Not much to report here really still losing slowly which I’m fine with especially as struggling to keep up with the water & the protein!

have officially made the swap now & have done my first wegovy jab today!!

will report back in a week or so and just 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 everything that it works as well as the MJ has!!

Be great if it refreshed & worked as well as Mj did in the early days!! 😅 would shake my last 2 stone off in no time!!! 🙈
