@GingerCar Your mum's funeral sounds as good as a funeral could possibly be. I agree with ElsieJay, the daffodils were a beautiful touch 💛

ElsieJay · 23/01/2026 15:53

Thanks, @Apprenante , much appreciated.
Good to hear you’re on the mend despite the horrendous bruising and memory gaps.
Be careful out there ! xx

HereIGoOnceMore · 23/01/2026 16:14

Well done ElsieJay 🎉 What a fantastic achievement.

SussexLass87 · 23/01/2026 17:16

Congratulations @ElsieJay ♥️♥️

SussexLass87 · 23/01/2026 17:19

Update - 2lbs off this week. Work and kids have been mad this week and I haven't eaten properly or drunk enough water.

Writing this down so I'll remember to be better next week!

ElsieJay · 23/01/2026 17:51

2lbs is a fab loss, @SussexLass87 ! 👏
It’s hard to glug water in the winter months isn’t it. No difficulty with Baileys, oddly…..

Gingercar · 23/01/2026 23:14

Brilliant ElsieJay!👏👏👏
I got gold at WW decades ago. I think it was the last time I was at goal weight! 🤗

SutekhsEars · 24/01/2026 09:03

Well done @ElsieJay ! That must be a fantastic feeling!
Sorry to hear you are still struggling @Apprenante , take it easy.
I'm up .5 kg this week - had a cold, feeling sorry for myself, taking consolation in the snack box.... I've increased my dose to 5mg and am making renewed efforts with water & protein.

@Gingercar nice to hear your mom’s funeral went well ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 hope you’ve got lots of love & support around you now while some strange sort of new normal begins for you 💞 look after yourself 💐

@ElsieJay well done!!

@Apprenante hope your bruises are healing!!

I’m joining you in the bruised club (not as dramatically I hasten to say!!!!!) but was playing wrestling with ds earlier and I managed to roll off the end of the bed & fall flat on my back!! Some nice bruising starting g to show on my ribs!!

I am however relieved it was 5st lighter me that did this!!!!!

nice NSV this week as went on a zip wire and it was amazing!!!!! Would never have dared this before my weight loss!!! My arms would not have managed it but thanks to MJ & LWR I have arm definition & am learning to enjoy movement & fitness!!!

on the slightly less positive side, like others really struggling to get back to healthy eating grafted Christmas & 2 birthdays since. Really hoping I can push on for the last 2.5st loss

Apprenante · 26/01/2026 19:47

Thank for all the kind messages. Stitches came out today - eventually. Had to go back as the nurse missed one. They were long, thick and sharp so maybe the loss of the stitches will result in a weight loss! (I can hope ....)

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 26/01/2026 20:11

Loving the zip wire!

We just got back from Norway where we went on a husky sled ride. I felt guilty at my current weight (the dogs were very happy to be running) but I would have felt so much worse at my previous weight. Lovely dogs.

Surgery tomorrow. Eep.

Best of luck for your surgery - hope it all goes really smoothly for you 💜

SussexLass87 · 26/01/2026 21:39

What a funny old day here - I've just been started on HRT. I'm 41 so it was a bit of a suprise, but also my brilliant new Dr listened and took my concerns seriously.

It's not like I'm having more kids but feels a bit strange to be told it's all starting none the less.

I've been all over the place with sleep, eating and exercise for a while now...I'm hopeful (possibly naively) that it might help move my weight loss along a bit too? You never know...

Seahorsesplendour · 26/01/2026 21:56

@DidILeaveTheGasOn hope all goes smoothly tomorrow for you and sending best wishes for a speedy recovery!!! 💐

sled ride sounds amazing too!!! 😍

@SussexLass87 hope the hrt helps you , you have my sympathy 48 here & still very much in the peri hell!!!

ElsieJay · 26/01/2026 22:30

@DidILeaveTheGasOn - all the best for your surgery tomorrow, hope all goes smoothly and the aftercare as we would all like it to be.
Very envious of the husky sled ride ! 🐺 🛷

@Seahorsesplendour - not remotely jealous of the zip wire experience, but I salute your bravery ….. 🥇

@Apprenante - good to have the stitches out , hope the bruises are fading but the sympathy and pampering are not ! 💐

@SussexLass87 - your GP sounds very on the ball , fingers crossed the meds will be helpful. I’ve heard lack of sleep can impact on weight loss , so you never know ….🫰.

Nothing much to report here - upped my last dose to 5mg with no ill effects, and just ordered another pen with a view to titrating down. Ideally would like to lose another couple of pounds and then maintain.
Couple of meals out over the next few days, the social aspect more enticing than the food, to be honest .
Onwards and downwards !

Gingercar · 26/01/2026 23:39

Good luck @DidILeaveTheGasOn

SutekhsEars · 27/01/2026 07:41

Hope it goes well, @DidILeaveTheGasOn 💐

Apprenante · 27/01/2026 10:52

Hope everything goes really well today and for your recovery @DidILeaveTheGasOn .

That was an achievement @Seahorsesplendour . Was it terrifying as well as amazing?

@SussexLass I hope the HRT does all the things it is supposed to do. You'll probably feel amazing.

@ElsieJay I'm at much the same stage as you in terms of being happy to stay at the same weight now. It's a very strange feeling, isn't it, after umpteen years of always trying to weigh less. Have you set a range for yourself?

ElsieJay · 27/01/2026 19:11

@Apprenante - Very odd feeling indeed. Glad we hit our target at a similar time, and think we’re similar ages too , IIRC.

I’m thinking 9st 7lb to 9st 12lb as my range, my WW goal is 9st 10lb and classes are free as long as I’m within 5lbs of that.
I’d rather not have that much leeway as don’t want to see the 10 stone marker on the scales ever again - though was elated to hit it on the (very long) way down.

ElsieJay · 27/01/2026 19:13

@DidILeaveTheGasOn - hope you’re
tucked up comfortably in bed by now, pain-free and being waited on hand and foot ! 💐 xx

Hello everyone is it ok if i rejoin?
I dropped off at thread 1 and struggled to find you.
Nice reading how everyone is getting on.
Congratulations on all your acheivements 😊
I started end of May at 82.4 kg
I am now 66.2 kg which Im thrilled with , can just about get into trousers i havent worn for over 10 years!
But still am in overweight bmi category which if im honest im a bit pissed off with !
seems impossible or miserable or both to lose the the last 6kg to scrap just into healthy weight and ideally id like to lose 8kg so im comfortably in it.
Im toying with the idea of accepting this is it.
As its so expensive to continue after price prices , especially at higher doses.
Ive had my first 12.5 mg injection today to try and move it along. Generally ive stayed on same dose for 10 weeks( with golden dose)
Im a short 54 year old post menopausal female.
I looked at the thread thats aimed at shorties losing weight but frankly their diet looked bloody miserable and I still love food even on MJ!
Has anyone else plateued in overweight category?
Im exercising 3 times a week plus daily dog walks.
My TDEE is around 1600 calories.
Just hoping for some solidarity.
Its been much slower than i thought but i am happy with how i look even with a wobbly tum (and still being overweight grrr!)

I’m 5.2ft and started at 83kg. I am now 65kg and need to get to 62kg to be at a BMI that is normal. I started in May 2025.
I am 66 and my pharmacist/provider tells mes that at my age he wouldn’t worry about a slightly higher BMI. I would like to get into a normal BMI though. I don’t count calories and love my food.
I am also on 12.5 and my pharmacist has said just up my water content, don’t count calories, and the last few kilos will come off.

I am going with this, hate counting calories and will see what happens. Keep in touch

Kbr22 · 27/01/2026 22:32

@DidILeaveTheGasOn Hope everything goes well with your surgery.

I have stayed the same for the last 4 weeks, go from 64kg to 65.5 and then back again! Now on 12.5 and don’t want to go higher. It is harder as you get nearer to goal. Mine is 62kg to get into a healthy BMI but it has seemed to have stalled! Will keep going though as feel so much healthier, thanks to MJ. Hope you are all having a good week x

Oh thats interesti g about water intake. I need to up mine too. I dont drink much water -does tea count?!
Im not good at counting calories either. I just eat small portions and dont snack
Im now in the 65's kg flutuating a bit, the trend is downwards but its really slow .
Im going to up my water intake from tomorrow

Placestogo · 28/01/2026 07:18

Good to hear about may people reaching their goal
weight. I have decided that i am at GW too (though still BMI 26) i am feeling good in myself, have lots of energy amd im pleased with my appearance.
yesteeday i did my “maintenance consultation” with Pharmulous. Now i am officially on their book and can stop ordering and then start again within a year. Such a good safety blanket. I am titrating down very slowly and the plan is to stop in May and probably go back on it in nov/dec because winter is hard for me! And if that works keep that pattern as long as i need to. I was doing 2.5 every 4 days, i am now doing 2mg every 6 days. It is a big jump and i am opening the fridge a bit more. Doing lots of gym and thinking “nutrition” instead of “diet” is helpful.
