A Merry Christmas to all our May starters, what a journey we have all had this year! I am now 5kg from my goal weight, but I am at last in a size 12 jeans and 14 tops. I feel like a different person not just lighter but happier as well! Well done to all those who are now maintaining and please do keep posting as I would love to know what is in store for me! In fact it would be good if we all keep in touch as you are such a lovely bunch of people. All the best xx

Foreveronaplane · 24/12/2025 15:28

@Kbr22Happy Christmas to you and the rest of our wee group. Thank you for your stories and posts, it has made this journey so much easier to be able to share. Hope Santa is kind to you all and don’t beat yourselves up for over indulgence. X

Apprenante · 24/12/2025 16:59

Happy whatever you celebrate dear losers! 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

My current loss is 4 atone. I want to celebrate that now as I suspect I might put on a few several pounds over the next few days. 🎉🪆🎉🪆🎉

The support of this thread has been invaluable.

SussexLass87 · 24/12/2025 17:21

Merry Christmas lovely bunch - thank you for all of the support, cheerleading, thoughtful and insightful posts and most importantly the sense checks, the laughter and the love.

I've just had a three course lunch at a lovely pub with no regrets. It was absolutely worth it and very delicious!

I happily wore my new size 10 top (I'm not a 10 ((yet!)) but it's oversized) and my new 14 jeans with some utterly fabulous leopard print trainers (god bless you Vinted) and felt lighter and more "me" than I have in a long time.

Hope that your holidays are restful and peaceful - however you may celebrate.

Be kind to yourselves (as much a reminder to myself there as others) and enjoy ✨

ElsieJay · 24/12/2025 21:33

Looks like I’m late to the party, as ever !
Great to hear we’re all looking forward to a brighter and lighter Christmas and 2026.

Spent the afternoon with DH , DS and his lovely GF - realised I no longer like Baileys, it tasted soooo sweet. We opened the M & S chocs and it was the same story - ended up discreetly spitting mine into a tissue.
Who is this person ?

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing.
Onwards and downwards !!

DBatteryBand · 24/12/2025 21:40

Merry Christmas, all. Thanks for your wonderful company as we travel onwards and downwards. What a time we have had this year...and who would have thought, this time last year, how bloody gorgeous and amazing we would be, swanning around in our new outfits, feeling like a million dollars (SE, personal loss, trials, tribulations and terrible unmentionable disasters with Dulcolax notwithstanding). All the best my lovelies, for a happy Christmas and a slim and marvellous new year. Xxxx

Gingercar · 24/12/2025 23:15

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas. Thanks for your company over the last seven months. And for your kind words this week. 😘

PinkScot · 25/12/2025 06:50

Happy Christmas to you all, you are all lovely and kind friends who have encouraged and supported me over the last 8 months and hoping 2026 is kind to us all. I’m hoping to moderate my intake today but I certainly won’t be counting the kcals 😜. Back on it tomorrow though don’t want to let all the hard work go down the drain. Have a great day everyone and enjoy your new slimline Christmas figures xxxx

Placestogo · 25/12/2025 07:59

Happy Christmas to all! I am so happy for the support and sharing of experience this thread makes possible.
wishing you/us a very happy new year! Cant wait for no thigh rub, lots if nice summery dresses and perhaps a bikini!!!

VashtaNerada · 25/12/2025 08:14

Happy Christmas everyone! I decided not to do my second injection this week (I inject twice a week) so I can enjoy my Christmas food a bit more. I still have a little supression and I’m sure I’m not eating what I normally would this time of year, but it means I can drink a glass of wine and have a little bit of cheese without feeling horribly sick afterwards! I’m sure I’ll gain a couple of pounds but I’m in a much better position now so that really doesn’t bother me.

Gingercar · 25/12/2025 11:43

Isn’t it funny, how different we all are. I’ve done my injection earlier to try to stop
me eating everything! I’m ready to eat anything and everything I look at! I would kill for some feeling of fullness.

Kbr22 · 26/12/2025 23:14

I have just had a weird realisation. I have had the usual really busy run up to Christmas, presents, wrapping them, mindful of what I have bought all the grandchildren making sure they all have the same amount/equavalent presents! What I was cooking for the family over the holidays and the meal at my daughter’s. Just the usual Christmas. Boxing Day is my one day when I do what I want and decided I would have my treats as usual. Only I hadn’t bought any!! No crisps, coleslaw, no twiglets, no chocolate fruit and nut is my favourite, and just for me! When to have a look and all the drawers are empty!!!!!! Once I realised there weren’t’ any I wasn’t bothered but I usually have loads left over. Is this the new me?? Any one else had the same, just didn’t buy the rubbish I used to buy?

Placestogo · 27/12/2025 07:02

Talking about a new me @Kbr22, my new me is insufferable!!! 🤣 what with the no second helping thing, the no thank you i dont want any im full-thing, the let’s go for a walk in the morning AND after lunch!! My mum said it’s less fun but it is actually good changes (even though theres lots of leftovers)

DBatteryBand · 27/12/2025 07:12

@Placestogo I am insufferable too. 😀My (polite!) pudding refusal was met with shocked silence, and it was noted that I kept surreptitiously sliding stuff off my plate on to DH's during Christmas Dinner.

SutekhsEars · 27/12/2025 07:43

Morning all! Hope everyone had a merry Christmas, and @Gingercar I hope you got through it ok.
I put on a kg, which is ok. I've been eating chocolates in front of the TV in the evenings - and they're not even particularly nice ones. I've got loads leftover, but that's cause I bought enough snacks for a massive family gathering but it was only 1 DC and I for most of it. I might drop some off at the food bank. It's time to get back on it for me. I could be at target in a fortnight if I put my mind to it.

SussexLass87 · 27/12/2025 10:25

Ah well done you lot! That's such brilliant news.

I however forgot to jab, plus ovulation hormones have gone haywire and I've put on 3lbs 🤣 Ah well - I'm very unbothered. I would usually be beating myself up about it but I'm trusting the process and adding in homemade vegetable soup to my lunches from now on.

I don't drink booze so it's wholly chocolate and a roulade from Cook! that was absolutely yummy.

No regrets haha!

ElsieJay · 27/12/2025 14:07

Well done to those of you who have already braved the scales!
I’ve decided to wait until 2 Jan when my WW group restarts, but jabbed on Christmas Day and back in full MJ mode.
Hurrah for no huge gains 🥳 - but even more hurrahs for our huge change in outlook - “OK it’s a gain , it was Christmas , get back on the programme and (as Sussex said ), trust the process “.
We CAN and we WILL do this !

Apprenante · 27/12/2025 18:44

I've put on about 2.5lb .... so far. And I thought I was being careful. I'm a daily weigher, it will be interesting to see how the next few days go.

I'm not sure if it was the huge piece of fillet steak I ate on Christmas Day, the 2 glasses of wine and one cocktail, the piece of baguette or the 2 biscuits and 2 pieces of chocolate ginger. They were all worth it though. The chocolate brownie and hm chocolate sauce weren't: I've lost my taste for excessively sweet things. (I hope).

Gingercar · 27/12/2025 20:46

I would let it settle. I’d gone up three lbs while in hospital with mum (and I absolutely didn’t overeat that week). Then it went back down on Xmas day and then back up this morning. So who knows! I ate an enormous portion on Xmas day, but I don’t eat meat. I’ve also had a few slices of Xmas cake over the last few days. Someone bought me a huge box of M&S chocs and they have been driving me crazy screaming at me. They look so good I could eat lots. I’m hoping I can open them when family come and just have one or two!
I’ve also come to the conclusion that MJ is a waste of money for me as I’m so hungry and can eat so much, even on the higher doses. I’ve another three pens in the fridge, and will use them, but am not buying any more after that. I’ll pray that my willpower is what’s been doing the lion’s share anyway.

Gingercar · 28/12/2025 10:47

This made me laugh this morning!

My scales are showing a four lb rise today! I’ve not even been that bad! Had a couple of mulled wines and Buck’s Fizz here and there, and some Xmas cake, otherwise normal food. Definitely daren’t open that big box of chocolates. Hope it drops in a day or two.

Apprenante · 28/12/2025 11:04

And that's why I've not set facial recognition on my phone!

Apprenante · 28/12/2025 11:05

And I win ---- now a 5lb gain since last Sunday. I know it's not real but Aaaaaarrrrrggghhhh

Gingercar · 28/12/2025 12:14

I know, it’s demoralising, isn’t it!

This popped up on my french facebook page, and is so true - the problem is not what you eat between Xmas and new year, it’s what you eat between new year and Christmas…!!

Placestogo · 28/12/2025 22:40

Im back from a busy week with both side of the family. I weighted myself but its unfair as i usually weight in the morning.
im feeling very bloated too and my stomach is really stretched. According to my scales im only 1.5kg up (about 3lbs i think). I hope in the morning i will weight less.
if i do, then i’m going to be super happy because i didnt pay attention to calories, i ate what i wanted (though i never managed big portions) and i had “plenty” (ie. Enough for me) of wine and chocolate.

one of my new year resolutions is to join a gym -. Lets hope i’ll work off any christmassy excess very quickly! And that i will get to goal soon!!

Placestogo · 29/12/2025 10:00

Insufferable-me (or just call me Karen!) has already been to the gym this morning.
ive gained 0.5kg so about 2lbs which is really good.

Last year i would have probably gained more, felt lethargic and doomscrolled on my phone in bed until i really needed to prepare lunch for the kids with no gym in sight. Planning for more food for NYE.
now im thinking what protein rich meal would be suitable to a NYE dinner party (3 of us on MJ!!) im thinking some kind of fish recipe…
