I've just collected my first supply and wondered if anyone wanted to join in with the journey! I'm on 2.5 and I'm 14st1, goal weight is 12 stone as that is my pre baby weight and we'll see how I feel once I've reached it!

any tips on when to take it each week? I'm going to avoid alcohol and even though snacking is my weakness I think purchasing a supply is going to make me stop in a weird way. Any tips gratefully received and if anyone wants to join the journey for support and no judgment here's the place!

I am on day five and have lost 11lbs but I have a lot to lose. I also saw my partner on it before me and he ate as normal to begin with and was very unwell so I’ve been very cautious about what I eat, although I still managed to over eat and feel sick on day 2!

RoundandSad · 29/11/2025 10:29

@TaffyTabby looks like you enjoy graphs
Maybe you can tell me, I tried this but it looks like whatever dosage you take, there's always a sharp drop in blood levels around day five is that correct?

I suppose it gives you some practice at dieting without having all this in your bloodstream

@Springbaby2023 I hope you feel better soon. I thought that I shouldn't really drink alcohol. I will have one at Christmas dos but I thought one is probably a limit

@Nearlyamumoftwo yes I've lost 5lb in three weeks I'm disappointed but hopefully more will come off and I'm gonna try and work my way up slow slowly to the bigger dose

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 29/11/2025 10:33

Mounjaro has a half life of 5 days so essentially your body processes and eliminates half the dose in 5 days, then the remainder takes longer, so each week you take a jab, the higher your levels will be, but by day 5 you will most likely notice the effects wearing off.

if you choose to jab before day 8, then the increasing levels are higher. I’ve done a couple of weeks were I jabbed after 5 or 6 days meaning I kept my levels a little higher and didn’t have the hungrier days 6&7.

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 29/11/2025 10:35

But actually the hungrier days are good practice and maintaining will power and managing hunger.

as I’ve increased beyond 2.5mg as well, I am finding day 6 is ok it’s just really day 7 that I can feel suppression wearing off.

SexyFrenchDepression · 29/11/2025 10:39

@RoundandSad I have attached my levels graphs. The lowest point on Thurs morning (just before jab) was 1.65mg, highest point on Friday was 3.85mg, then today 3.65mg. End of day 5 was around 2.2mg (2nd picture is the graph over the month).

@SexyFrenchDepression yes those lows are really low, aren't they? Thanks, at least I know I've done it right.

@putthehamsterbackinitscage yeah I agree it's good practice. Before I did this, I had quite a few days when I did only one meal a day just because I was so busy at work. Sometimes you don't notice a couple of times I got hangry but it was totally manageable and obviously some people do fastingfor religious reasons and some people do it for dieting and people manage fine I know I've got to manage as well.

I was just surprised by how low the lows were and I plotted for going up to 5 mg.

Now I understand why these threads are so busy there's a lot of planning involved

i've got a couple of nights out, but they're on Thursdays and they are not too focused on food, luckily and no one will comment I don't drink because I usually drive and I don't drink much anyway, even if I'm not driving two is my limit

SexyFrenchDepression · 29/11/2025 11:00

@RoundandSad 3 of my xmas dose have been bottomless cocktails, luckily just a meal as opposed to bottomless food also. I just drunk slowly last night, had a couple of cans of premixed gin on train then maybe 3 cocktails but that was it. Felt absolutely fine as finished early ish. I am not too worried about the alcohol as much as the fact my stomach isnt lined but cocktails are probably ok as likely to be watered down on the bottomless things.

I actually told a couple of colleagues (close friends and we usually drink copious amounts together) and they were great about it and got off my case!

Just catching up. What's this App called and what's the purpose? I'm taking Wegovy - is it just for MJ?

Its shotsy, you can log your weight loss, doses and symptoms each day. You can also connect health apps to show cals/macros. Just good if you want to see patterns. You can use it for any types of jabs.

Nearlyamumoftwo · 29/11/2025 12:08

Yes @RoundandSadwhat app is this and what is its purpose? What are we looking at?

also I've seen some people say they're going up to 3.75 - I thought the next one was 5 (I'm with Asda)

I think you manually adjust your dose on the pen. You buy a 5 pen but only do 3.75 so you get 5 doses rather than 4. Also the dose increase being less means your less likely to have side effects.

I've just ordered my next pen and will be trying next week.

Someone will hopefully be along to explain it better than me.

SexyFrenchDepression · 29/11/2025 13:31

@Nearlyamumoftwo the app I screenshot is Shotsy. The graphs are showing the estimated levels of the medication each day, its quite good as I could see where my nausea/any other symptoms were worse/better on each day. Also maybe gives an idea of how much is best dose for users when increasing.

I believe there are 240 clicks on the pen so 4 weeks of whatever dose the pen is at 60 clicks per dose. So if 5mg is 60 clicks, then 3.75mg will be 45 clicks per dose.

I jabbed with 2.91mg this week as it was what was left in the pen after 4 weeks, I annoying lost some by being an idiot when priming!

JustBeach · 29/11/2025 14:47

Im Usually someone who loves crisps and chocolate, but I’ve not even wanted any since I started! It’s so strange! I’m not sure what it is about mj that causes that. I was in M&S earlier and just got a salad! Usually I’d stock up on all my fave biscuits, cakes, crisps and chocolate!

tobee · 29/11/2025 15:08

Sorry you had a bad night @Springbaby2023. Thanks for the electrolyte info.

Normally after food I would crave something sweet (choc) or a bit more wine. But now my vice is coffee.

The other day I was craving grapes. I know they're still sweet but that's not my normal thing to desire.

I did my Saturday weigh in today which I've done for months (although jab day is Monday) and I'm down 2 and 1/2 pounds on last Saturday. Surprised because I felt like my jeans were a bit tighter this week having been looser last week.

I've been still doing intermittent fasting 4:3 (3 days are omad and under 500 calories) but I think that's probably a bit too much with mounjaro. I need to go more to several small meals per day instead. A yogurt for breakfast or something would be good.

Dh just did a coffee delivery order as a Saturday treat. He's very slim (due to ill health) and ordered a chocolate bar. I was happy to just order coffee. I was able to look at the sweet stuff, and just not be bothered. I wasn't repelled by them, just "yes they're nice but I'm fine thanks" An alien being has taken over my brain! 👽 🧠

RoundandSad · 29/11/2025 15:16

I used something called GLP plotter

You don't have to sign in in or give your data, but I don't think you get as much detail

I was curious about it because I thought at some point you got to a steady level if medication in the blood, but it looks like you don't - you always have peaks and troughs, that's annoying. I wonder if eventually they'll be able to make it a daily pill.

In terms of 3.75 I don't want to go up to 5 yet so I'm going to count clicks I don't think doubling the dose is a good idea not for me anyway so I will try 3.75 first

I will only do that if there are no side-effects from the 2.5 dose I took yesterday. Last week I had a couple of issues. So it does have to be trouble free this week for me to go up at all.

It looks like my medication is due to arrive late! I don't know how they've calculated that!

Either that or the app is not very user-friendly but it certainly seems likely that it's going to arrive late

I have emailed them, but it's Saturday so probably won't get a response till Monday

SexyFrenchDepression · 29/11/2025 15:41

@RoundandSad I agree, it would be nice for it to be steadier at some point as then at least you would have less side effects.

When I was ordering from MedExpress it was always delayed being dispatched and was never clear if it had been approved or not. I emailed them and then they would suddenly update it. Lotus are much more efficient it seems, approved in minutes then arrived next day, plus I got money off. If you wanted a code then I would happily share, I know you are concerned re sharing details but you mentioned school mums, I dont have any DC in school any more as they are older teens so unlikely we would know other. I am happy to share my location etc by PM so you can make sure we are not close by.

tobee · 29/11/2025 16:30

A daily pill you say?:-

click2pharmacy.co.uk/what-is-orforglipron/

It's a piece about Orforglipron
trials if anyone is worried about clicking

Looks like it doesn't offer such good weight loss percentages as MJ or Wegovy but if it's cheaper speculation it could be a good option for maintenance?

There are plenty of different drugs in the pipe line and hopefully they will get cheaper and be smarter.

Orforglipron is another Eli Lilly drug

RoundandSad · 29/11/2025 17:21

@tobee wow I looked this up before starting on this and I didn't think anything was coming until 2028

@SexyFrenchDepression thank you that's really kind I will see if they get back to me on Monday and what they say

I thought it was just Voy being crap, but perhaps they're all like that

RoundandSad · 29/11/2025 17:21

@SexyFrenchDepression do you mean you actually had to chase them to remind them to send out the medication?

For me there was one date set in the app which is not easy to use and now that date seems to have changed, but I didn't screenshot it or anything so I can't prove it

SexyFrenchDepression · 29/11/2025 17:24

@RoundandSad I emailed as it had been stuck on awaiting dispatch for a few days, this is after a few days of it being on awaiting clinical assessment (reorder not first order) they replied and just said as soon as its dispatched it will up date. Then within minutes it said dispatched. It still took several days to arrive. Luckily they let you order after 2 weeks so it wasnt a worry to receive it in time.

RoundandSad · 29/11/2025 17:42

@SexyFrenchDepression was this on a plan or were you just ordering as you wanted to?

I'm supposed to be on a three month plan. There was an automatic dispatch date which got changed.

So far, I feel okay I felt pretty awful last weekend so I hope this continues. I normally take ginseng and I haven't taken it for three weeks now. I am really feeling the effect of not having it - or maybe it's tiredness from this medication. Anyway, I can't take it because apparently they interact and make blood sugar too low

Not sure what kind of energising supplement might help but I'm about to have an electrolyte drink. We have to go out tonight!

SexyFrenchDepression · 29/11/2025 17:47

@RoundandSad no just ordering as and when but they do advertise it as next day delivery, it is nowhere close to that, unlike Lotus who absolutely did.

Do you take B12? I felt better once I started that, although it may have been coincidence.

StealthMama · 29/11/2025 19:17

Hey everyone, nice to read how everyone is progressing and gain some tips too.

Im week 4 on 2.5mg and have lost 8lbs. I’m much less bloated aswell and my digestion feels so much better (I have IBS related since gall bladder removal).

my easy tips are protein yogurts and fruit for breakfast and baby bell cheese! I carry a a couple everywhere I go for when I feel I need something.

I am definitely feeling hunger a bit on days 6 and 7 but sticking to high protein/fibre foods. I’ve dropped my alcohol intake to only when I got out, given there’s quite a few busy weeks coming up but I think the cut back in November has benefited my overall wellbeing.

Im moving up to 5mg tonight.

Im also a bit peri and I’ve been taking Hormone Harmony for the last year which has been brilliant for me. So overall I’m feeling really good - with a bit more lethargy. I need to get away from the desk and excercise more during the week.

will see what the next 4 weeks brings.

Springbaby2023 · 30/11/2025 09:36

Weighed in a day early as I’m trying to gradually move my jabs forward to a Friday so will be jabbing today instead of tomorrow. 7lb down since I started so happy with that. I wanted to get to 13 stone 10 before Christmas as that was my previous normal weight before I started putting it on again, so only 2lb to go for that. Then a proper push in Jan to get to the 12s.
