November 2025 Mournjaro starters

I've just collected my first supply and wondered if anyone wanted to join in with the journey! I'm on 2.5 and I'm 14st1, goal weight is 12 stone as that is my pre baby weight and we'll see how I feel once I've reached it!

any tips on when to take it each week? I'm going to avoid alcohol and even though snacking is my weakness I think purchasing a supply is going to make me stop in a weird way. Any tips gratefully received and if anyone wants to join the journey for support and no judgment here's the place!

@bakingmad123i jabbed in the evening, then the next day I felt normal but during my evening meal I felt fuller sooner. Day 2&3 I struggled to eat and forced something down but my calories were below 500. 4&5 I ate more , but still lower than usual . 6&7 I started having some cravings, but found it quite easy to stop myself and ate a normal portion (rather than my normal portion, which was massive!) I have this graph on my app which is helpful to visualise how the levels build up. Yours will be different as you must have some build up already.

@JustBeach what app is that? I’ve seen Shotsy (free version) but that is much clearer in showing levels…

Just go for it - it’s so easy to do.

Do try and have some healthy foods in, protein & fibre based so what you eat is useful for your body rather than just something to fuel you as you’re likely to get full quite quickly.

tobee · 19/11/2025 18:31

You've got very similar stats to me @66babe. Similar age too!

My starter tip is to be open minded and listen to how your body responds to the drug. I was very nervous before starting but it's been absolutely fine for me so far.

I got a few things in that I like that are high protein and high fibre. I bought some pepto bismol as that seems to be mentioned as good for quite a few side effects.

There are so many resources to look at now with mounjaro. But for me some of the best info has been looking at all the many threads on here. Just browsing them and searching specific concerns. And I've used Reddit a bit (their U.K. mounjaro board) and straightforward googling.

The only thing I haven't got around to yet is making a meal for the whole family. Which is a bit rubbish as it was something I was looking forward to instead of having "my diet" food separately.

tobee · 19/11/2025 18:32

Not used the Pepto yet though!

66babe · 19/11/2025 18:35

Thank you @tobee and @NoNewClothes yes I’ll go food shopping sat morning
concentrating on protein , healthy foods and less crap .
Not nervous , just hoping it works for me and I get suppression
Reading lots of threads here
Good luck all

Flossyknicks · 19/11/2025 19:25

I feel like I have a suppression for food but not wine 🙈🤦🏼‍♀️

1st weight in and 7lb down! Although more like 3lb as I think the rest was just water weight , and the 3 takes me back to where I was before I went on holiday. I’m so pleased with that! This week week I’m hoping to drop below my lowest weight in the last few years, need 2lb.

is anyone else worrying about going back to normal life after mounjaro ? I have been fortunate with side effects so far. My mental health is better, my sleep is better, I have more energy , dealing with stress better.. I didn’t realise how much my disordered eating was contributing to my physical health. I can’t slip back once I finish!

Yes me 100%, I can’t believe how much more energy I have (despite having a two year old who never sleeps) and it’s early days but I just feel so positive about everything. What I’m hoping though is that this is caused by eating better and that being on MJ will teach me healthier habits. Like I’ve always known I’d have more energy if I ate better but for various reasons couldn’t, hopefully will establish good habits and coming off Will want to maintain them not just to keep weight off but to keep feeling how I’m feeling.

Springbaby2023 · 19/11/2025 22:03

I took my second dose Monday evening and today I have had the most suppression yet. I’ve still managed to eat, but I could easily not have done. I really didn’t want to eat anything for dinner but after playing sport all evening I knew I had to.

I can’t my head around people who are just eating 800 calories or so a day, even with more suppression I’m well over that and happy to be as I think otherwise I’d be super anxious bout nutrition and / or passing out.

SexyFrenchDepression · 19/11/2025 22:11

bakingmad123 · 19/11/2025 14:07

Absolutely, I was going to give up after the 5mg pen if nothing had happened, so I’m thrilled 🤣🤣🤣

A different question though now - I honestly cannot face food at all at the moment (yay), is it likely this will fade throughout the day and I’ll be able to eat dinner, or is it common to have a few days of not being able to eat each week - in which case, do you end up not feeling great for having no nutrition for a couple of days?

I really struggled the 1st week and could hardly eat, I was only managing 500-800 cals and most of that was protein shakes. I felt pretty rough as just wasnt eating enough. The 2nd week was better and I just planned my meals and ate small amounts prioritising protein.

This week the nausea has been worse but eating helped that so I have made myself eat.

My energy levels seem back to normal, I did start taking B12, creatine and collagen towards end of 1st week so I think that has helped, supposed to be taking magnesium also but I keep forgetting.

icanhazwillpower · 19/11/2025 22:36

Well done on all of your weight loss x it’s a marathon not a sprint of course!

Had the second jab yesterday, no dramas just a little tired but no body/neck soreness this time. Appetite suppression was wearing off last two days before the next jab. Supplement's are helping me have healthy levels, the psyllium husk keeping things regular, with lots of water - seem to be thirsty most of the day. Logging cals to see my nutritional info and for reassurance that i’m maintaining a deficit as i’m not very active. Lost 7lbs i think due to low carb high protein high fibre diet. My Sunday roast looked a bit sad without potatoes and a Yorkshire pud but did treat myself to a little stuffing ball. Craved choc in the evening last 2 night so had an options hot chocolate!

JustBeach · 20/11/2025 05:51

@putthehamsterbackinitscageits on the app from the pharmacy I used - Voy. It’s more expensive one but I had a code. I’m thinking about moving to a cheaper clinic , but they’ve given me two more months of vouchers when I went to cancel- so I’ll probably stay. Here’s this weeks graph if anyone is interested. I jab on Tuesday evenings and just took 2nd one. It’s only an estimate, but seems accurate for me!

Whp have you shared taking mounjaro/wegovy with? I’ve only told my husband and sworn him to secrecy. I’ve got lots of friends who are taking it and open about it, I’m not sure why I want to keep it private..

Just weighed myself and lost 5lbs this week. Next jab tonight. Feel starving this morning

Nov25 · 20/11/2025 07:04

I’ve just done my first jab…….

PatheticDistraction · 20/11/2025 13:04

I'm due my 3rd jab tomorrow & I'm definitely struggling today, I'm hungry & craving. I'm really looking forward to moving up to 5mg to see if that makes a significant difference ti me, as I'm still overeating I think.

Springbaby2023 · 20/11/2025 13:06

@JustBeach only told my partner too and swore him to secrecy, I think for me it’s because I want to see if it’s working for me longer term first. Like if I noticeably start to lose weight and I’m thinking I’ll continue on it longer term then I would probably tell people, but if I got terrible side effects or find it’s consulting my lifestyle I’d probably rather not have told people to then tell them I’ve given up on it. I guess there is also something around it suggests I’m not happy with my body - and I don’t want people thinking I’m judging them if they’re my size.

DivaRainbow · 20/11/2025 13:07

Hi did my first jab on Tues of wegovy, no side affect yet just bloat

66babe · 20/11/2025 16:41

I’ve just done my 1st jab too, was easy so so far so good .

tobee · 20/11/2025 17:47

I've realised I completely forgot to do my measurements so far. As in the one you do with a tape measure.

I can feel my jeans are a tiny bit looser.

What measurements are people taking and how frequently?

tobee · 20/11/2025 17:48

Good luck to new jabbers by the way! 😊

JustBeach · 20/11/2025 18:24

I forgot before I jabbed, but I started trying to lose weight by myself in March and measured my thigh, hips, and arm then checked every month. I just picked those parts because they are where I hold my weight! My bust and waist are normal sized! I lost a stone by myself and then stalled and stopped losing , but then did lose some inches after I started upping my exercise and walking!

Springbaby2023 · 20/11/2025 18:53

I have no mental capacity or time to measure for now, going to go off how my clothes are fitting me for now.

OhCobblers · 20/11/2025 19:10

Would love to join?! Just had my first jab today. Aiming to get down to 9.7stone.
