I've just collected my first supply and wondered if anyone wanted to join in with the journey! I'm on 2.5 and I'm 14st1, goal weight is 12 stone as that is my pre baby weight and we'll see how I feel once I've reached it!

any tips on when to take it each week? I'm going to avoid alcohol and even though snacking is my weakness I think purchasing a supply is going to make me stop in a weird way. Any tips gratefully received and if anyone wants to join the journey for support and no judgment here's the place!

I took my first 2.5mg MJ dose last night. Have been very wiped out all day, achy, headache, sulphur burps, nausea and very suppressed appetite. Kind of feel like I’ve been hit with a virus. So hoping tomorrow will be a bit better!!

I was the same on day 2/3. I couldn't eat enough to stop feeling dizzy either. Definitely feeling better now (2.5 weeks in) the only thing that has been worse is the nausea. Its so hard to stop it as I just dont want to eat. I have been away at the weekends so had to take jab 2 and 3 earlier than 7 days so I wonder if now I'll take after 7 days I'll be less affected.

I am definitely going to do 3.75 from the 5mg pen I've ordered for jab 5 at least. I will also do the golden dose from 2.5mg pen, hopefully if I can get slightly over 0.6 from it then that'll also ease me in.

SexyFrenchDepression · 18/11/2025 10:10

Couldn't weigh in over weekend as was away, I had gone up 0.2kg before the weekend (thurs to fri) so was nervous about it but have lost a decent amount. Down 9.6lb in 2.5 weeks so really happy with that.

I would love to be under the next stone before xmas (about 5lb more). Its just a great mental barrier i think and it has been a couple of years at least since I was that low. Still a way to go after that but wld be great motivation.

I have bought a variety of ginger teas to try help the nausea as its getting me down a bit. Still worth it though.

you poor thing I hope you feel better today.

I seem to be okay after second dose, fingers crossed

Well, okay, in terms of my stomach and I think that RLS is subsiding

I'm amazed at some of the losses I'm seeing here - it makes me wonder am I eating too much?

Yesterday was the first day I forgot to eat a meal I forgot to eat lunch but I realised about 4 pm because I was quite irritable!

Fifiellz · 18/11/2025 10:53

I’ve noticed that if I under eat I don’t lose anything Yesterday I forced down a jacket with tuna and then had a spag bol for dinner and I jumped down 3lbs overnight. I also stall when I don’t drink enough water. It’s easy to under eat but I think it hinders the process. I’m down 14lbs now in 2 weeks 1 day which Im over the moon about - haven’t been this weight since 2022.

Flossyknicks · 18/11/2025 11:16

Hi, can I join? I took my first dose this morning. It’s interesting to read everyone’s experiences. Obviously I’ve only just taken it so I’m still hungry and had two pieces of toast and a banana for breakfast. I can’t imagine what it will feel like not feeling hungry or thinking about food all the time!

SexyFrenchDepression · 18/11/2025 12:28

That is an incredible weight loss in 2 weeks. I will be over the moon with that if I can achieve it in 4 weeks.

I am really struggling with undereating. Now I am back from weekend away (so 4 days of trying to eat in restaurants so I didn't not eat much at all) I think I can be better with spreading my food out and getting a few more calories in. Hoping it'll help the constant nausea.

Started the Nutrition Geeks Collagen glow up powder today so that adds 12g protein to my daily total (50 cals also sadly) but hopefully that will help a bit.

Hopefully the suppression will kick in quickly for you. I absolutely love the feeling of not thinking about food all the time.

Are you counting calories? My calories are set based on 3 days a week at gym, how much I want to lose etc and change constantly regularly based on my current weight. Its still really early days and some people dont lose in their first week but lose loads in 2nd. I lost almost 6lb in the first week, half of that in 2nd week.

When I saw my PT just over a week ago I was 72.9kg height 5ft4. My calories are now 1063 which is roughly 800 cal per day deficit. I weigh myself every other day to see any patterns of what I eat/dont eat.

tobee · 18/11/2025 16:41

So it's 18 hours since my second dose. I feel less suppressed than last time. I've also had slight acid reflux, but I get that a lot anyway.

I did the jab with Dh doing the priming and reading the instructions and me doing the actual jabbing. We were so much more relaxed this time that I am concerned we didn't do the jab properly. I keep thinking "did I do the count 5 seconds when the needle is fully injected?"

Fifiellz · 18/11/2025 16:44

@tobee If the pen has reset to 0 you will have injected the dose correctly. My suppression has decreased week on week as well so I think it’s quite normal. I am still managing on this dose but will increase if I need to.

Springbaby2023 · 18/11/2025 16:50

I took my second dose last night (was due today) as I wanted to do an evening. I’m not sure if I’m experiencing as much suppression as I was but after my first I found it built up over the week so hoping it might be the same again. I’m currently still eating around 1600-1800 calories but that is at least 600 calorie deficit for me, some days it’s up to a 1,000 calorie deficit. I imagine once I’m on 5mg that will decrease in terms of how much I eat. I’m fairly content with losing slowly though as I hope that way it will be more manageable to come off.

@tobee don’t worry, even if you did take it out before the 5 seconds. On my first jab I pulled it out straight away after it got to 0 and didn’t count to 5 at all ! It didn’t make any difference!
I’ve just done jab 2. I definitely felt more peckish today , although was easily able to resist. I have just eaten my biggest evening meal all week before jabbing , but still half the size of my previous portion size and I’m stuffed! I’m not going to worry so much this week if there are days I struggle to eat much- I think over the week it will average out. Days 5,6&7 I’ve been able to eat more. Looking forward to weighing in tomorrow! I feel like I’ve lost a lot, but I know week 1 is not a typical week when starting to lose weight. Next week will give me a better idea.

NoNewClothes · 18/11/2025 17:42

Is anyone not doing calorie counting? Like @tobee I’ve been intermittent fasting for a while, it works, and it’s my plan post WLI, however menopause/ lots of stress have meant reaching for food comfort.

I can’t bring myself to calorie count ever again!

I’ve got decent suppression/ food noise cancelling but I’m still only on week one.

I’ve not been eating any ultra processed food other than occasional bowl of high fibre cereal. My go to’s are full fat Greek yoghurt with chia/flax/seeds & berries. Fruit. Protein & veg with minimal carbs such as rice. I’ve also made a few soups, lentil, chicken etc which are in batches in the freezer. Lack
of food noise has definitely helped me plan that.
I also try and do body pump a couple of times a week plus some cardio & yoga classes. This has not been a normal week for various reasons so fitting in exercise has been tricky.

My feeling is if I can’t lose weight on this without calories & macro counting then I give up.

tobee · 18/11/2025 17:53

Thank you for the replies everyone! 😊Feel reassured.

Yes I'm not calorie counting @NoNewClothes. I got so obsessed and worried about it and whether I was being accurate or not. Hoping I won't feel the need to.

I've not had any potatoes or pasta or bread since first jabbing 8 days ago. And I'm a bread obsessive. An ideal day for me (in the bad old pre mounjaro days 😄) would be toast for breakfast, sandwich for lunch and bread for mopping up sauces etc if there's any going at dinner 😬

I've also only drunk tea, coffee and water.

diggitydoo · 18/11/2025 18:36

I hope not to count calories because I find it so triggering and depressing. But I’ve felt like I needed to this week. And now worrying because I’m feeling a bit obsessed and that’s not healthy for me mental health wise.

Wethers121 · 18/11/2025 19:00

@SexyFrenchDepressioncan you tell me how you get the lower doses from the pens please? Have read you do lower amount of clicks when you twist but how do you know how many please? And what happens when you’ve used all of your four needles? I’ve ordered some insulin needles recommended on another post for the golden dose. Do you just use these to take the rest out? And again, how do you know the measurements?

Sorry for all the questions!

Wethers121 · 18/11/2025 19:09

How’s everyone going? I’m on day 6 of week 1 and definitely feel it eating off a little- eaten more today than all week and could have eaten more. It’s taken some adjusting to change habits. Like I’ve been waking up and wanting breakfast because I always have it, but told myself I’m not hungry and don’t need it. Definitely got easier as the week has gone on and I purposefully did the food shop with this in mind and it’s a much cheaper than normal!

I’ve definitely felt hunger this week, but it feels almost as though it’s just curbed a bit and not all consuming as it would be before so I can ignore it. I generally eat healthily, but portion control and eating badly on a weekend is my problem. I’ve decided to focus on these things and not calorie count. I’ve started skipping breakfast, having my normal lunch but reduced the portion size and evening meal I focus on protein and fibre with a small amount of carbs if any. Weigh in day on Thursday morning and definitely feeling like I’ve lost weight.

Burnnoticed · 18/11/2025 19:26

Hello - I've ordered first pen from Numan - have been on MJ before but had a bit of a break - what I've discovered is if you're really determined you can manage not to lose weight, basically chocolate doesn't fill you up enough and you can still overeat on it! But your desire for it is less, I know mine is (I had an illness and that led to spending a lot of time in the house and some overeating).
Happy to be back on the straight and narrow before Christmas though.
I've used insulin needles to remove the extra dose, it's quite easy when you've done it once.

Springbaby2023 · 18/11/2025 19:38

Interesting on the calorie counting, I imagine I’ll stop once I go up to 5mg and have more suppression but I feel like I really need to still be monitoring it else I could easily overeat with high calorie foods than don’t actually add much in the way of nutrients or filling me up. Also I genuinely don’t think I’ll be able to keep the weight off after unless I stay on top of calories. I don’t find it to tasking with Nutracheck, but didn’t calorie count regularly before with the exception of failed diets so maybe it’s just a novelty for now.

Springbaby2023 · 18/11/2025 20:17

Of those who do track and look at macros, what protein are you aiming for?

I am on 1063 calories, 106g protein, 81g carbs, 35g fat. I do struggle to hit protein target on that amount of calories so am making some adjustments. My carbs tend to be lower also. I have attached screenshot of today.

I dont mind calorie counting really, I do want to go all out for the 1st month to see what I can lose before Christmas. I definitely will need to count calories after to stay on top of things but will do 5 out of 7 days counting to maintain really.

I havent done it yet. I just read about number of clicks. I get sent about 6 needles so will have some spare.

For the 5th dose I have separate syringes and will measure what's left, my friend said usually there was about 0.8 left in the 2.5mg (0.6) so just a bit more which is a good step up to next dose.

Springbaby2023 · 18/11/2025 21:03

@SexyFrenchDepression thats really interesting! My protein is nowhere near high enough currently but I’m just trying to gradually increase it and make better choices. I find changing everything at once too overwhelming! I’ve just been reading some good threads on here though on how to up it.
