Week 35 and annoyingly a 1lb on (it's actually less than that as I ignore the decimal points on the scales but officially it's a 1lb on) In deficit every day, no deviations, pretty much same food I eat everyday 🤷🏼‍♀️. I did lose 13lb in the previous 4 weeks though and 5lb at last weigh in so shouldn't moan!

Looking back as previously weeks, it looks like I have 1 week a month of a small gain/stay the same, 1 week of average loss and then 2 x really good weeks, must be hormonal.

6st 8lb loss overall, onwards and downwards......

I would say that is definitely hormonal, roll on the good loss weeks!

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 15/11/2025 13:36

W12 D1 3.75mg
SW 19st 3lbs
CW 16st 2lbs
GW1 15st
GW2 13st
Last week -1lbs

That’s the lowest weight loss for me over the last 3 months. This is quite interesting as the calorie intake has remained very similar to previous weeks and I have actually been more active this week. I have eaten more bread than previously, need to find a better alternative to iceberg lettuce as the weather gets colder and I don’t fancy salad anymore.

My husband finally noticed that the weight has started to come off, that took awhile 😂 no comments from anyone else yet.

mamabeeboo · 15/11/2025 18:34

I also now compare my size to other people's.

It was only recently that I realised that at my larger weight, I used to look down when walking to not catch anyone's eye, lack of confidence. And I guess to not compare myself to others. I didn't really look in mirrors or shop windows. Especially when walking with others and seeing the size difference.
Now I'm not the largest in the room!!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 15/11/2025 23:53

I saw a photo taken three years ago at a lunch club I belong to.
It shocked me to see how much bigger I was, in comparison to everyone else in the room.
I hadn't realised how very overweight I was.
I knew I wasn't thin, but seeing that photo horrified me.

Then I saw another one, of me amongst a group of friends, and that appalled me. I was enormous compared to the rest of the group.

Now - I just look slim.

all your talk about people commenting is the kind of thing I’m dreading if I actually do lose any weight. I hated that before when I lost 5 stone at weight watchers. Felt like every compliment was fueled with relief that they could talk to me about how disgusting I’d looked before.

First day on monjara yesterday for me and to be honest appetite and eating wise I didn’t really feel any different to normal. Special k, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, peanut butter on toast mid morning, lentil and veg soup for lunch, apple and nuts mid afternoon, bean, veg and rice burrito for dinner. And a g and t in the evening . That’s pretty normal for me! I was expecting it to make me eat less

I'm probably the exception here ..but from day one on monjroro I put myself on 1000/1200 calories..I have never gone over that ..my stomach rumbled day and night for months and months ..for a long time I didn't think monjroro was helping me ..and sometimes I still don't ..but it clearly is as I've lost 9 and a half stone in about a year ..
I am very very lazy and inactive, apart from swimming every day ..so if I'd moved more I could of eaten more .
So I did massively eat less ..but I had a huge amount of weight to loose ..also I don't think monjroro started helping me untill I reached 7.5 mg .. plenty of people found it helped very early on ...I hope you find it helps you early on x

Something I was reflecting on yesterday,
At 136kg I knew I was obese and bigger than others, but it struck home when a photo was taken of me in a group. It’s like it would dawn on me just how big I was.

Now at 100kg, I find myself walking past others and trying to eye up “am I smaller than them?”
I really don’t mean this in any negative judgement about complete strangers I walk past in the shop but genuinely struggle to estimate my size compared with others.
I am trying to understand this because, it’s this failure of recognising just how big I was getting that maybe added to my journey. I ofcourse avoided photos so as not to face reality staring back. Looking back in these photos now as a getting smaller person… I am even more shocked at just how big I was.
How is my brain so bad at figuring out relational size of my body.

Anyone else do this silent comparing of body sizes?

Edited

I was a size 32 at my biggest..size 34 if I wanted a baggy t shirt ...
I think I just blocked it out ..it became so normal to me that I didn't see anything wrong with my size ..I went swimming in size 32 costumes and no one said a thing or looked at me oddly..I ignored my weight and looking back so did everyone else ..
My doctor was always more concerned with my mental health than my weight.
At my biggest I was way over 150 kg ..I hated photos though, would try to avoid them.
Size wise I go by labels in my clothes ..I'm just starting to buy size 18s now

Doggymummar · 16/11/2025 08:27

Morning all, I was getting a bit disppndant with the weight loss being so slow but I reached a new low of 157lb today, so I thought I would see what I weighed this time last year year

It was 197lbs and I remember how good I felt when we went out for our Christmas meal and all the comments I had, I was buzzing. Well that meal for this year is on Thursday and I am 40lb down again, the previous year I was down from about 250lb

So instead of feeling annoyed how slow it's been, I'm overjoyed how far I've come. I must learn to look at the bigger picture 😂. I would have got my goal weight, but my goal is to weigh less than my partner and and the little bastard gave up
sugar and weighs 147 so I still have more to do.

Very similar to me, although I've lost slower. I don't count any more but it's been about 3 years now and I've done OMAD and fast 800 for about ten years although the MJ helped me lose weight, before that I just got heavier.

I do count , because I simply don't trust myself..I am A very greedy person..on monjroro I am not greedy ..goodness knows what will happen when I come of it

Autumnflowers2 · 16/11/2025 08:45

Just wanted to say ..all sorted with checqup .. monjroro arrived the following day I placed the order ..and the refund for wegovy was back in my account in 24 hours .
All's well and all that

Lds1 · 16/11/2025 08:50

I don't count either until I get to a plateau then I count just to double check, but I do eat the same pretty much each week. I'm going for a meal this week so that'll be interesting, I need to look at the menu before I go.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 16/11/2025 09:27

My loss has significantly slowed down. I'm losing about 3lb a month now. That does seem slow, but looking back, I can see my progress.

This time last year: 14st 8lb

Weight today: 11st 10lb

This means that I've lost almost 3st in a year. To be exact it's been 40lb loss in this last year.

So I've lost about three quarters of a pound each week. Yes, that's slow - but it's a good, steady loss and it's consistent.

I also find that checking how things have been going over the course of two months is a good way to see what my progress is.

My heart, love and congratulations to you all for the weight loss journey. It's heartening to read that so many of us struggle but have succeeded with the weight loss injections. They are a game changer. I lost 5 stone and have put nearly one back one. I am ok with that. It's all about balance and after over thinking it, I will take that. We all have such a complicated and probably unhappy relationship with our weight but we're doing brilliantly. Here's to sisters together 💛

Motnight · 16/11/2025 10:14

Hi all. Feel terrible today (the first time in a while) as ate rubbish yesterday late in the evening. Had a lovely day out with 2 friends who hadn't seen me for months. They both commented on my weight loss but we are close friends so I was fine with it, and they were genuinely happy for me because I am obviously so much healthier.

@Doggymummar and @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I really like both your attitudes re the slowing of weight loss - thank you. Now I am under 200 lbs I am probably losing 3 lbs a month but that's ok. I started off around 305 lbs.

PearlTeapot · 16/11/2025 10:29

Morning everyone, I've lost a pound this week so that's getting rid of the one I gained last week! Takes me to 16 stone 1. I cannot wait to see the number 15 on the scale!!!

Had a Quick Look and:

I started at 22.3 stone / 312 pounds / 141 kg / BMI 58.8
Now I'm 16.1 stone / 225 pounds / 102.5 kg / BMI 42.5

I don't really do goals in numbers but for curiosity I've had a look and here are some. And some of which feel close and achievable!

  • Under 100kg - (15.7)
  • Lose 100lb - (15.2)
  • Under 200lb - (14.3)
  • BMI 40.5 - Move into ‘obese’
  • Bmi 30.5 - move into ‘overweight’
PearlTeapot · 16/11/2025 10:31

My brain still hasn't caught up by the way. I genuinely still always feel like the hugest in the room, look at myself and just see the same enormous elephant legs and massive belly and arms.

Then I remember facts like my wedding ring fits/my clothes size has gone down/I can bend over and put trainers on etc etc

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 16/11/2025 10:49

Happy to report back that after my run yesterday I am feeling good today, so good in fact I went for a swim this morning, and walked to the pool rather than driving (it's about a 10 min walk but I've been a bit lazy recently!). Some slight stiffness in my muscles but only in a way that lets me know they've been used, not in a way that makes think I've got an injury,or stops me doing anything so that's good. If anyone is worried about doing exercise I really encourage you to get out there, start small and don't overdo it, but the feeling afterwards is amazing!

TragicMuse · 16/11/2025 12:07

I’m a daily weigher and this morning I hit the 13s! Fingers crossed it holds steady for Wednesday WI…

I’ve not been in this area of the scales for 12-13 years!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 16/11/2025 14:06

NSV last night - DD (20) was home for the night (usually spends weekends at her boyfriends). We had a lovely evening, we were being silly and joking around together. She insisted on giving me a piggyback - I refused at first as I was certain it would be impossible and I’d break her back but she kept insisting and eventually hoiked me up on her back, with both of us falling about laughing. She carried me around the house like that as if it was nothing!

This might not seem like a big deal to most, but I have literally never in my life been given a piggyback by anyone, ever! I’ve always been way too heavy.

mamabeeboo · 16/11/2025 14:23

I had a little curious moment today and I took my measurements and compared it to last year.

Waist 140cm-->110cm
Bust 132cm - - >112cm
Hips 155cm - - >129cm

Total lost 26cm or just shy of 30 inches of fat.

I tried to put this into weight as I've lost 42kg so I'm just shy of one inch equalling one kg. These kinds of thoughts really helps me when thinking how far I have come.

I'm honestly on the floor. And the thought this is working can make me feel emotional.

This makes me feel so emotional & so happy for you! Just realised, yep, even as a kid I grew quick and was strong and taller etc and so always bigger than other kids even when I was healthy… I’ve never been carried or piggybacked or picked up.

MyDD’s are younger but the best NSV moment for me was youngest cuddling me, she wrapped her arms right around me and said ‘mummy my arms have grown, I’ve been growing and can hug you properly now”.
yes ok she grown a bit… but hadn’t realised she also noticed my tummy/waist too large to get around, so she always cuddled up to me and I wrapped my arms around her. It felt so nice to be cuddle properly back.

happy for your NSV moment and thank you for sharing it.

Ps so grateful for all of you who commented on the ‘silent measuring yourself up against strangers’. I feel validated & much less weird now. So looking forward to finding it easier to spot people bigger than me & not being the giant in any situation

OvertiredandConfused · 17/11/2025 08:34

I haven’t posted much for the last few weeks because life has been really busy. But I’ve been reading and keeping up with everyone.

Jab 42 yesterday and I am now exactly 6 stone 7 lb lighter than when I started! I’m averaging a loss of 2lbs per week and have lost 30% of my starting bodyweight.

All my clothes are new. I’m not kidding myself that I am still fat (still obese in fact) but only about another 6lbs to finally move into the “overweight” BMI category - not the size set too much store by BMI. I do look like a normal person now and my weight won’t automatically be the first thing people use if they have to describe me to strangers.

Just ordered two more 12.5mg pens which will take me to exactly a year. I’ve decided I’m going to do that and then reevaluate my final goal, strategy to get there and start thinking a bit more about maintenance.

Does anyone else think of the weight gain in between seeing friends? I saw friends this weekend who I hadn't seen in almost 7 years and it was the first time that I didn't feel low at thinking that every time they see me, I'm fatter. For once, I was slimmer than what they remembered. It was a freeing feeling.

I enjoyed taking lots of photos, something I never did before.

Back on track today with my home workout, wasn't my best and I'm tired from the weekend, but I did it.
😌
