When the scales didn't move as fast as you'd like this week...it's nice to have a list of nice surprises on this journey.

This week, I can fit easily into a pair of size 18 jeans. They didn't do up last year.

My cheekbones are starting to make a reappearance.

I'm into a size 10 (although a bit tight in some brands) and the mid 9 stones, neither of which I thought would ever be possible again!

Overtheatlantic · 24/09/2025 15:08

I’m down to a size 18 on top (in 10 weeks) and a loose 20 on the bottom. My boobs are decreasing at different rates though 😆 a tit and a half I call it.

twilightcafe · 24/09/2025 16:25

Great - isn't it?

This time last month, the dial on my cheap bathroom scales had to go round once and then again past the zero to record my weight.
This morning, it stopped after the 18st mark.

We have the same NSV, OP. Size 18 jeans! Ive been in a 22/24 jeans for as long as I can remember!

SusanSometimes · 24/09/2025 16:43

My boobs have gone down a band size and up a cup size Confused but I'm delighted.

@Overtheatlantic I had to laugh at a tit and a half Grin

The scales have stayed the same, but I had to adjust my watch strap again this week.

I'm now finding my size 18 jeans a bit loose and am inching ever closer to a size 16.

I can now see my collar bone again, and my cheekbones.

I'm tall, and previously I was in denial about how fat I'd got thinking I could carry it. I really couldn't. Just over two stones down now, about three to go, it's coming off very slowly but it's all good!

52soon · 24/09/2025 16:46

I was wearing a 48DD with back extender, this week I’m in a 42C with no extender (still probably the wrong size but wearable for now)

morbidcuriosity · 24/09/2025 16:57

Scale stayed the same for last 3 weeks roughly but I've had to go down another belt hole.. so that's good! .

MummyInTheNecropolis · 24/09/2025 18:28

My size 16 jeans are starting to feel a bit loose - think I’ll need a size 14 soon. I was size 24-26 when I started!

Counry · 24/09/2025 19:16

@Overtheatlantic tit and a half 😂, I've now given up on tits and thought I'd scored a NSV with one of those bra tops you pull over your head in a stretchy fabric in a small!,used to be 36 DD, however I was walking round aldi today and the tits escaped out of the bottom of the fabric due to the sagginess of said tits, so 🤔 I m wearing my new size 8 jeans today as well though, looking fab, so every cloud 😂

EveryDayisFriday · 24/09/2025 19:20

I have visible hip bones and collar bones. Weird that my knees clang together in bed, that's a new one. I'm always cold now though. Cost me a fortune in clothes going from a size 20 to 12.

SecretNameforMN · 24/09/2025 19:27

A long vest which always rolls up because of my huge hips and belly and rucks up around my waist today stayed down on my thighs.

well done!!

Tried on a skirt yesterday that I’d had on in February (but couldn’t do it up fully and had to disguise this with my top)- it’s too big now!

Kazzaa46 · 25/09/2025 07:48

I’m only in week 2 and although my non scale victories follow a slightly different theme they’re still victories so here’s mine:

I’m saving a bit of money- £35 week on a takeaway, alcohol, chocolate etc. I’m still on a lower dose but actually I’m saving more a week so far than what my pen costs.

I tend to be quite a nauseous prone person, if I hadn’t eaten in a while I’d start to feel sick and a bit ill. Since taking MJ I don’t experience this anymore and am lucky that I haven’t experienced this as a side effect.

My tummy is less bloated. I’ve always had a big tummy made worse by being prone to bloating and did experience this being worse at first after starting but now that has passed and my tummy is already starting to look noticeably flatter 🥰

gallivantsaregood · 25/09/2025 10:41

Last month my blood pressure medication was halved. Yesterday it was stopped completely!! 🥳

Colours73 · 25/09/2025 12:51

Walking the dog today and realising that my thighs no longer touch each other

well done to everyone on their weight loss and NSVs

PearlsPearl · 25/09/2025 15:43

Walked up a steep rocky path on a trail in Scotland today for 20 mins each way. I couldn’t walk 10 mins down my road and back without stopping for a rest 5 stones ago 🥰

RedPony1 · 26/09/2025 09:15

I put on a tshirt today that i bought in June and it was as tight as cling film... Today it fits nicely!!

Greentrilby · 26/09/2025 09:34

I can cross my legs comfortably.

SecretNameforMN · 26/09/2025 12:20

In the shower this morning there was less belly to lift to get at my "bits"!

MiceAsPie · 26/09/2025 12:31

My NSV is that I’ve maintained my weight now for almost a year. I’ve stayed steady at 9 stone 7 ish which I’ve never done before

now granted I am still taking a maintenance dose of MJ but meh, it still counts as an achievement for me

I was 15 stone when I started back in April 2024 and I’m only 5 ft 3 so this was far too heavy for my frame.

other NSV’s along the way have included a thigh gap )I don’t chase this btw! But it’s nice that my thighs go nowhere near each other anymore as I recall the misery of the chubby rub shorts!) , no more moon face, no more heartburn, I don’t snore anymore at all and of course wearing size 8/10 clothes

WhyArePiratesCalledPiratessss · 26/09/2025 12:39

I've stopped snoring entirely!
I used to sound like either tractor or a dinosaur depending on who you ask.
I've lost too much for my "skinny" clothes and am replacing my wardrobe with cheap shein stuff as I know im not done.
Also, yes to the shower lifting to wash my bits. Still hate my stomach, but love the collarbones and cheek bones and my skinny hands and smaller watch strap... so much to love!

Somethingsnapped · 26/09/2025 19:10

Really loving reading these! Great idea for a thread OP.

I've only been on MJ for 5/6 weeks, and I decided after the first 3 weeks to only weigh myself once a month, so I can keep track but not obsess too much. So I don't have much to go on yet, either weight loss on the scales, or NSVs. But I noticed something last night. Normally when I lie in bed on my side, I rest the arm I'm not lying on along my hip, because folding it with the other in front of my body feels uncomfortable and too squished. But I realised last night I was doing it confortably again, as I used to before I put on weight. I'm not sure if I've explained it properly... I wonder if anyone knows what I mean?! But it was a small win for me. Especially not knowing exactly how much weight I've lost exactly. Just that my arms fitted together snuggled in front of my body comfortably again.

RatherTardy · 26/09/2025 20:00

What a lovely idea for a thread.
I'm loving reading.

My ones are...
I had to tighten my watch strap.
Shorts that wouldn't go over my thighs last summer now fit (quite snugly)
SOME (forgiving) size 16s fit

BlackOtter · 26/09/2025 21:02

I’m not so hungry! I can go without eating for a while, and when I do eat I can usually eat smaller portions happily. I still enjoy my food and I’m losing very slowly but it’s nice to be satisfied more easily.
