One week ago today ordered a 5mg pen. Order is in. No update.

Anyone else?

I ordered from them last Saturday (2.5mg and 5mg bundle) and received it yesterday. Have you chased them?

Yes was told 7-10 days but not great that I have still not heard anything. The person I spoke to had the nerve to se d me a feedback request.

They appear to get your medical record from your GO, review it, and ask any questions they have. This can understandably take more time that other pharmacies who simply notify your GP that you’ve had it prescribed.

gardenangels · 24/08/2025 21:16

They can look at medical record online they do not have to contact GP. I am not impressed. Someone on here also ordered last Saturday and already have their pens. I ordered at 0030 last Saturday...

They’re one of the better ones. I would call again tomorrow and say you’ll cancel it if they don’t send it out.

PinkSun9 · 24/08/2025 21:32

Very bad experience with them. Ordered a bundle on the 6th n waited n waited. When I contacted them they said they were experiencing a delay in dealing with orders. Despite repeated requests to know where my order was n no delivery, I cancelled my order yesterday. Waiting for a refund now.

guestusername · 24/08/2025 21:35

I’m still waiting to hear about my order placed on 15th august. As a new customer I think it’s pretty piss poor that I’m still sat at processing consultation when they’ve had a not insignificant amount of my money in their bank account

gardenangels · 24/08/2025 22:42

It is dreadful. The progress of my order is still at first stage. They should have told us about the huge delay. I would not have bothered if I had known the truth and may have had a chance of getting a pen from elsewhere.

OP posts:
gardenangels · 25/08/2025 12:39

I was told 7-10 days when I called up after not being contacted.

Today is day10. Still nothing. My order is still in first stage of "Ordered"

I am sorry to hear that. Did they give a reason? Unbelievable that they waited so long and kept money for so long.

Apparently my BMI is too low and I should speak to my GP about a referral to the weight management programme 😤

I presume you’re a current MJ user looking to buy from Chemist4u for the first time. What is your BMI?

Sadly 34 so they cannot use that excuse....

Below their cut off. I sent them an email asking for clarification and they said that they don’t support maintenance for non-current customers, which I completely understand and accept

Thats interesting to know because I contacted them recently and asked about swapping to them, not yet at my target but my BMI is now under 25 and they confirmed I could move but now I’m thinking I better call them and see if actually they’ve fed me a line and are just holding my £318

I would because that’s a lot of £’s sitting in their account potentially earning interest!

They told me that they do not support maintenance for new customers. I had previously said that I was starting to think about maintenance once I get to my target weight but they weren’t having it. Good luck

Well the person I’ve spoke with said they can’t confirm as they don’t have set cut off’s, it’s at the prescribers discretion. They asked if it was a maintenance does and I said no as I had ordered a 5mg and 7.5mg to go up after the next injection. Still couldn’t give any indication.

I did ask how long it takes to access records with a GP as I’m in Scotland and they said it’s taking 10 business days (which isn’t what their email has said explicitly) to run the consultations but that means in that case I’m at 7 business days or 12 days since my order and nothing else has been received.

I don’t want to cancel and find I could have got it but at the same time, it’s a nonsense that they can’t just look over the request and say yes or no.

Oh and they said they are out of anything 7.5mg and above. So again, if they can’t fulfil the order I’ve placed due to that, they should let me know.

guestusername · 26/08/2025 16:09

The funny, and really quite annoying thing now is that they keep emailing me asking me for feedback 😂 I’ve had two emails today and one yesterday. Not entirely sure they want me to do this!

JoRaRaRa · 26/08/2025 23:09

Have you had any update op?

I placed an order for a bundle, 7.5, 10 and 12.5 on 16th August, and apart from the generic emails, I've not received any proper update despite messaging them. I just want to know if it's approved, I don't mind waiting for the stock to come back in. If they're not going to approve my order, it would be good to know and get my money back so I can order somewhere else 😮‍💨

MisseyLurker · 28/08/2025 12:16

I’ve had an update this afternoon saying that because my BMI is within the health range and whilst I’m not at my target weight, they cannot prescribe me as this is against their guidelines, yet people on social media who I know haven’t been using Chemist4U and have a lower BMI than me have been prescribed, it seems to they can be promoted.

I love that they send you a link to the NHS for guidance and support, so they think it’s acceptable for patients to just abruptly stop medication, which is not what any decent health care professional would advise.

This is mental!

My sister is in the same position, I suggested to her that she eats a burger to get back over the bmi threshold. She can't get a pen from her supplier as it's out of stock and no where else will accept her. How they've handled this is awful, they've caused a mass panic and now people are not even getting the chance to wean off it properly. My chemist4u order has still not been accepted, I have managed to up my credit limit on my credit card and order from somewhere else. Hopefully they'll accept my order 🤞

As long as your BMI is over 25 then it will be at the prescribers discretion. If it’s under 25, it’s against their guidelines to supply. Why their customer service don’t know this and advise otherwise is something I’ve questioned.
