Shemed January Starters - Thread 4

Hello everyone! I completely missed the other thread was full (haven't been too well this week) so I've started this one and will tag as many people as I can think of from recent pages. Do tag anyone else you think of that might miss the new thread!

I hope everyone is okay. It's been unsettling times hasn't it with all the news about the price increases and very little from Shemed as to what they are planning. I am hopeful that of all people we will be shielded the most due to being on the Study (fingers crossed).

I weighed in this morning and took second dose of the 10mg. I seemed to put on this morning but if I take the weight I've been most of this week...

I am exactly half way to my target! And I've lost 25% of my bodyweight!

10mg - so far no burps or nausea but I am wondering if this extreme tiredness is in part due to the drug. Was eating just as I was before the last couple of days but today don't want to eat so who knows!

I'll read up and tag people if I can.

Good point, I didn't bother checking in last week, filled in late jab and I only have one more jab left. I'm looking forward to not checking in going forward, it added complexity to an already busy morning, as it was my intention office day.

Ah that’s sounding more hopeful then. My bmi is 26 at 11 st 7 (from 16 st 10) I’m happy with that as I’m 53 and carry some extra weight on my lower legs from lymphodema. MJ has greatly improved that but it will never totally disappear. I’m happy to stay at this weight. I’ll have a word with them first. Well done on getting to that 22 BMI!

SheMed have actioned my cancellation request (took 8 days). I can still access the app for medical records & to log my own weigh in progress, but can no longer access check ins or meds requests. So that’s me done ☺️

I have had £169 taken from Numan and notification prescription done. Haven’t been sent tracking info yet. Nervous as Royalmail pen went missing last time.

I thought it was £159? Assume postage on top? Not worried as much cheaper than others so it’s a bonus. Wonder what the price is next month??

I didn't check in! First time ever. But good news is I'm just under 16 stone!

The 10mg is good isn't it. I think it starts shredding at 10mg and the pounds just fall off. !

I lost almost 3lb in one week on 10 .. it's really strong and it got me to my goal weight.

I wanted to say before your comments about 'me first' a few posts ago have really resonated with me. 🥰 I too have been looking at myself differently. I've got my finances in order, stopped drinking alcohol and I'm looking forward to the next stage of my much healthier life. We are being self centered for the first time in our recent lives and MJ has unlocked this key to our wellbeing 🔐 it's just wonderful isn't it. All of the benefits.

And now we've got to keep going with putting ourselves first . X

Apparently my pen arrived in Croydon at 3am today so it should be here some time today as we're in South London. The suspense is killing me 😂

Looking at their FB page and website it looks as though if you stay with them they are planning to 'lock the price in'. Mine is set at £259 for 10mg, if you sign up on their website now for 10mg it's £309!!!

SheMed have just taken £279 off me, but no confirmation of when I’ll be getting my pen. I’m presuming they’re sending another 10mg as that’s what I asked for. I’m not staying at that price moving forwards though. Still can’t decide what to do, so this extra month is my thinking space while I decide. So reluctant to move to Wegovy as 10mg MJ is making me feel brilliant (ignoring the slipped disc I currently have!) and is working brilliantly with zero side effects. I’m so worried about making the move and Wegovy not agreeing with me, but, unless I can get a new customer offer and get MJ for under £150 each month, I just can’t afford to stay on it long term.

I can see mine is estimating next payment 1st October at £269 currently though I can see it is possible to pause.
My RM tacking details come through for tomorrow. Did your arrive with shapes box and needles? How about packaging, was it well cooled and descrete?

Mine will be £169 next month as I have your referral but then £269 after that. I plan to pause though, as I currently have 11 weeks’ worth of MJ with the 2 pens I have. This should take me to goal then i’ll think about plan going forward.

Agree with @OneAzureMaker and @Bear2014I have been impressed with the simplicity of ordering with them.
All the while, I am still waiting for SheMed to issue my lost pen 🙄.

Really grateful I took the plunge and getting another 1-2 months of 10mg at £169 has taken the pressure off. I can stay on this magic for now.
At the £70 extra a month is ok, especially as I can take over 5 weeks. So I am settled that I am on 10mg until Christmas.

I am feeling relief and the weigh in after inital all inclusive holiday gain of +2kg has actually settled today at a 0.2kg loss. Hooray!

I can feel some muscle! Given I was nearly 22stone and sedentary... I have a lot of flab. But I started my programme properly, about 2 months ago and noticed yesterday I can feel "solid" in various places at the top of my arm/around the top of my arm and biceps. I don't think it's visible to others but I made my husband feel it 😂. I'm so impressed. I'm getting fitter in general (still nothing compared to fit people but compared to where I started!) and loving this. I keep thinking abck to my cycles of depression each year about never breaking out of this body getting larger and larger and what a miracle this year has been ❤️.

Can I ask, are you getting much loose skin? I know we started at a similar weight and have lost a similar amount now. I’m really starting to see excess skin on my upper arms, inner thighs, stomach and bloody neck, which I think is the one that’s alarming me the most as it’s harder to hide! I’m starting to look like I’m melting 🤣

Hey @JBJI was 136kg at the start and am now 104kg.

I have noticed loose skin under my arms/wings. I was shaking a towel out earlier and her my upper arm clap against me 😬
serious flappage!!!

I can grab a load on my inner thighs but don’t think it shows much. My pendulous tummy looks like it melted and my belly button not really visable as upper B formed a crease as deflated. Serious or just more close together stretch marks which makes finding a spot to inject harder these days.

As for my neck, early on (about 1-2 stone loss) I noticed small stretch marks under my chin appear. They haven’t got bigger but a I really lost a lot around there quickly.

I really love the Nivea Q10 cream recommended on here, I think my chest and neck looking better after just one week with it so if you haven’t tried, it’s good! Make my skin feel so soft too so I spend alot of time just stroking my arm 😆

However, there is one place I seriously notice the loose skin… in the pool I wobbly, wibbly and jangle. My flesh feels so loose in water with no way to control the wobble. If I kick my legs, I know muscle working but it’s like my thighs ripple!!!
Dont let that put me off as not likely to do an underwater photo shoot any time soon soon but I think without gravity, it really notices the lack of tension my looser flesh is under now.

ps I am 44 for reference. I know you didn’t ask my experience but thought we may be close in starting weight. I have just lost a bit slower.

Thanks. Yeah I’ve just bought some of the Q10 so will give that a go! My neck and arms are bothering me more than the rest, as I’m very unlikely to ever want to walk around in hot pants and a crop top 🤣 but I’m not a fan of the flapping arms in a vest top! Then again, I guess the skin is still the same size as it always was, it’s just not got as much filling!

I’m 47 and perimenopausal, so very little chance of it all springing back I suppose!
