Creating this in advance, as the old thread is suddenly moving quickly due to recent events. No matter what challenges lie ahead we are still making amazing progress - so let’s keep supporting one another along the way as we approach 4 months ‘on the pen’.

@slightlysmallerPoisonIvy great shout with the Hevy app. Really easy to use and helps me to remember what I’ve done. Will also motivate me to fit in a weights routine when I don’t have an Aqua Fit class.
Building good habits now before I have to stop buying MJ as I can’t magic up the extra money.

Coventree · 25/08/2025 21:45

Loving the new belt NSV @PumpKim and hope this week’s scales are a bit more stable!

I hope your confidence continues to sky-rocket @PeachSnail - just think how far you’ve/we’ve all come since late April 💪 . And great loss in today’s weigh-in!

Sounds like you’ve had a great balanced weekend @wlinewbie0425…laying the ground work for post-MJ life 🤞

Oh @cannyvalley! Glad you’re back home safe and sound without any other illness or delays to beset you! All that aside, I hope your trip was everything you and your son wanted from it ❤️.

Hope your period comes and then buggers off again @slightlysmallerPoisonIvy!

Wow, great loss @BudgieMom 👏

Fantastic achievement @bridgetreilly ⭐️ - enjoy both the new weight bracket and the refreshing of your wardrobe from the ‘hopeful’ pile!

Great positive approach @Sheldon4k - numbers are just one part of our stories, aren’t they, and it’s the NSVs that really bring our changes home to us, I think. I absolutely love hearing them 😊

I just feel so sorry for anyone starting or thinking about starting on MJ now with the prices and potential loss of the golden dose. It took me to hit rock bottom for me and my husband to have the talk about starting and agreeing to give up family budget for me to do this…we just couldn’t have made it work at the probable 1st Sep prices and I hate there will be other mums/wives/dads/husbands out there hitting their rock bottom and this not being an option when, for most of us, it has worked so amazingly well (and completely appreciate that for some people, cost has meant it’s never been an option). Feel very fortunate to have started when I did and to have had the chance to order enough to see me through this year.

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 25/08/2025 22:51

@PeachSnail @BudgieMom excellent losses!!!!

@cannyvalley saw it over on reddit, kinda feels like a kicking us while we're down from Eli Lily

@bridgetreilly that's fab well done!

@Sheldon4k completely agree, we get so hung up on the scale numbers but there's so many other important ways that we are all showing progress too

@toobusytoclean glad it's helpful for you too! I had a setback when I realised some of the exercise I've been doing has aggravated a pre-existing issue, it's helped me get back on track to be able to see that I can still make progress in other areas. Pre-mj me would have used that as an excuse to give up, new me is determined to keep going and work on the things I can do rather than quit and do nothing.

@Coventree I wish I had started sooner, I put it off for so long thinking it's just another thing that won't work for me and will be money I don't have wasted. But I am very glad I started when I did or I wouldn't have found all you lovely people. Post september prices are way out of reach for so many people and I am sad for them and us that we've been given this life changing medication and it's been taken away so soon.

Merlin23 · 26/08/2025 07:38

After not losing anything in my weekly weigh in last week. Had a sneaky early weight this morning and 3lbs gone since Friday.
I think it was a time of the month water retention.
Whoosh it's gone.
Total loss now 46lbs

Crunchymum · 26/08/2025 08:13

I just can't get over your overall loss @Merlin23 it's awesome!!

Well done to everyone else on their losses, small holiday gains and NSV. We are killing it!!

Has the whole golden dose thing been confirmed? I don't do it myself but I know lots of people do.

I'm week 2 of 10mg (jab on Saturday) and so far no SE but no massive, noticeable suppression. I'm a bit concerned as I can't afford to go up any further and nor do I want to really. I also have x2 10mg pens on order (one from my usual supplier and one from another supplier but there's a huge delay so who knows of it will ever arrive). It's early days for 10mg though so I'll play it be ear.

I have a big family party next weekend so am hoping for a few lbs off to take me to a nice, round -2.5st loss.

Lovely to hear everyone is faring so well and feeling good. Despite my moaning I'm very happy with my overall trajectory and weigh less than I have in a decade.

toobusytoclean · 26/08/2025 09:03

SheMed have refused to put me up to 10mg due to supply issues 🤬
The timing of price increases is really bad as it is only once you are over 7.5/10mg that the price starts paying off. Although I’m not sure if I would have been organised enough to search for new deals every month. I also wanted the reassurance of the blood test before starting due to other health issues.
SheMed still silent on price increase.
I have emailed to ask them about their offer to allow you to buy multiple pens at a discount as mentioned in their T&Cs. But I’m sure they will find a way to avoid this 🙄

I asked to buy more as their t&cs say that. They said no

toobusytoclean · 26/08/2025 15:34

They have said no to me too @Merlin23 insufficient stock apparently.
also no early refil requests currently being allowed - but they have issued my next prescription which I ordered after my second jab this month, so I am good for September.
After that, who knows …. Either cold turkey or see what I can buy on my current budget with a different prescriber. Hope we’re not tied in to SheMed 😳

I think you have to give 28 says notice
I've asked for an early refill should find out tomorrow

Slowlyslowlysurely · 26/08/2025 18:29

I’ve been with ASDA since the beginning (April) I was due to reorder my pen the week before last(they say 2 weeks before it’s needed) I ordered on the 15th and then heard nothing. I have put an order in with your Medical and again not heard a thing.

my Asda order has been approved today so I’ve asked PayPal to refund my your medical payment but they’ve said it could be until the middle of September before there’s a resolution. Has anyone had any luck receiving an order or getting a refund from Your medical?

once this pen is done I’m considering a change to Wegovy.

Merlin23 · 26/08/2025 21:50

@toobusytoclean
I've had my early refill approved. I asked for 10mg hoping to do the click trick and just use 7.5mg the have 4 doses of 2.5mg but they only approved 7.5mg
I've got a 10mg i bought from another supplier. Once my pen is dispatched I'll give my notice, I'm hoping 6 more doses of 7.5mg then 4 weeks of 5mg then 8 weeks of 2.5mg and I'll be finished. 🤞🙏

Coventree · 27/08/2025 07:39

Good luck with the pens and hope SheMed’s a bit more forthcoming with you all - shame about the stock issues ☹️

Weekly weigh in time for me and a whopping 4lbs lost!!!

I’ve typically lost 2lb a week which is a good steady number but only lost 1lb the last two weeks (during which was period week). I also dropped from 7.5mg down to 5mg last week due to the pen issues, but nothing else was particularly different about this week, so it feels a bit like I’ve just caught up with myself and maybe the 5mg’s worked well. Still, I’ll take it as a fabulous one-off boost and monitor loss this week (gallstone so gotta be sensible on losing) 🎉🎉🎉

Makes it 46lbs (3st 3lbs) in total 😮😮😮

We are twins 46lbs lost for both of us.
Everytime I work it out I do it again and again as I think I must have got the maths wrong.
Well done @Coventree
👏👏👏💪💪💪

dozywelshbird · 27/08/2025 08:09

wow, congrats to you both on losing 46lbs, that's nearly double what I have lost since 28th April, the mind boggles 😮(i am a teeny bit jealous too obvs 😂)

Coventree · 27/08/2025 08:43

Thanks both. My mind’s boggling a bit too @dozywelshbird! But we’ve all individually done something amazing for our bodies so never compare or underestimate how fantastic your own achievements are (feel free to throw a constipation remedy at my head if that sounds too smug and patronising 😂).

wlinewbie0425 · 27/08/2025 08:51

Well done Wednesday weigh in buddies (and others over the last few days too) on your losses. It’s lovely to hear about new clothes too, makes such a difference.

I’ve gained this week for the first time - only 0.4lb overall, but that’s due to a lovely bank holiday weekend away with far too much nice food, it’s already less bad than Monday (daily weigher) where I was bloated a few extra lbs thanks to a lot of carbs, so I’m just getting back on it this week.

BeachBodyAim · 27/08/2025 11:24

Well done everyone on your losses!!!!! 🥳🤩

Soooooo it’s been 13 days since I placed my order with Medexpress and it’s STILL ‘awaiting clinical review’ 🤦🏼‍♀️ The email I received immediately after I placed the order said it could be up to 7-10 days!! I’ve emailed them but heard nothing back!! I’m starting to panic!!! 😱

Undecided2025 · 27/08/2025 12:51

I’ve had my Medexpress awaiting clinical review since the 16th. My last order with IQdoctor made me wait to reorder, then when I tried to place an order they’re out of stock. I’ve got a call with curate on Friday to hopefully get an order approved. I tried to order from get a drip last night, but because I went through the process with them before but cancelled, can’t use the discount code. So I’ve got one more dose and no back up 🤪🫠 Was trying not to stress but feeling it a bit now.

toobusytoclean · 27/08/2025 17:12

Is anyone thinking is switching to Wegovy now? What are the pros and cons?

Nearlyhadenough · 27/08/2025 18:20

@toobusytoclean I really can’t decide what to do…..I’ve had to go back down to 2.5mg of MJ because of the nausea and dizziness so don’t want to risk the potential side effects of WG. But I really don’t like SheMeds new MJ prices - not that it’s their fault, the pricing model can’t really work anymore.

I can get 2.5mg for less than I’ve been paying each month, but I really like the accountability of checking in each week.

My fibro has improved since jabbing, some will be due to 2 1/2 stone loss, but I’m sure it’s also MJ related. If I change, will WG help the same way?

I have 2 ‘proper’ doses left so I have a little time to decide.

Update from SheMed

We want to update you with transparency and care about an important change that affects your treatment.

After tirelessly exhausting all possible avenues, Eli Lilly has refused to work with providers like SheMed and is forcing an immediate increase in Mounjaro’s price. We are disheartened by the lack of notice given to both providers and members.

That being said, our priority is you - your health, your progress, and your peace of mind. We’d like to thank you for your patience while we worked behind the scenes, so here’s our supportive transitional plan:

Option 1: Switch to Wegovy, with full clinical support to make it a smooth transition

You’ll pay £99 for your next 4 week prescription of Wegovy with a complimentary Side Effect Care Pack:
We know it may be intimidating to switch to a new product and therefore we wanted to provide you with a lower price to let you test this change.
Then £159/every 4 weeks.
Personalised Dose Decisions
When we make the switch, we’ll ask you to fill out a short form on your next refill questionnaire about your Mounjaro experience. This will help our clinicians make informed, personalised decisions about the right Wegovy dose for you to begin with.
Complimentary Side Effect Care Kit
With your next medication, you’ll receive a complimentary care package designed to ease any concerns and support you as your body adjusts. Most people settle into treatment smoothly, and we don’t expect you to have side effects, but we believe in being proactive and want you to feel fully supported with everything on hand, just in case.
Is The Switch Safe?
It is generally safe to switch from Mounjaro to Wegovy. Both are GLP-1 agonists which work in a very similar way and SheMed’s clinical team will review what dose is best for you to start on. More information can be found on our blog here.
Below, you’ll find a short video here from our Chief Clinical Officer explaining exactly what this change means for you.

Option 2: Stay with Mounjaro on new exclusive pricing, only available for current SheMed members:

£279/every 4 weeks up to 10mg
If you are currently above 10mg but would like to be titrated down in order to get the reduced pricing, no worries, you'll be able to note this in your next refill questionnaire and our clinicians will help.
£319/every 4 weeks above 10mg (by approval of a clinician and yourself only)
Please note, as one of our valued members, you have access to these special rates. If you take a break and return later, standard pricing will apply.
Why Staying with SheMed Means More
✔ Real results, not quick fixes – We’re all about lasting biological change, not cosmetic shortcuts
✔ Comprehensive free blood testing – At-home test kit included to gain valuable insights into your unique health profile
✔ Clinical safety & oversight – Every step guided by science and experienced clinicians
✔ Female-focused community – Join 50,000+ women supporting each other beyond medication
✔ Innovation & personalisation – Track, check in, and access tailored content all in one app

We’ve worked hard to keep our pricing fair and transparent, and to give you choice in your journey. Whether you prefer Mounjaro or Wegovy, you’ll continue to receive the same high level of care and support.

We know this price increase from the manufacturer is not what any of us were expecting. But please know - we are here for you, and we will not leave your side. Our commitment is to support you every step of the way, no matter the challenges we face together.

With care and commitment,
The SheMed Team

Coventree · 27/08/2025 18:41

Wishing you a speedy loss of your ‘indulgence lbs’ @wlinewbie0425…and how lovely that we’re in the zone where we know we can balance special occasions against getting back on track and not be derailed by despondency and spiraling. It’s freeing.

I’m not planning on switching to Wegovy @toobusytoclean. My final additional order has been cancelled today citing the old gallstone, even though I provided the full explanation of it only being one, not flaring up for 10 years, having spoke to the doctors before starting and getting their ‘okay’, all the weekly monitoring I do, etc…the cynical part of me thinks it’s so they can hold onto their stock until 1st Sep and then sell it for more…oh well, by dropping down to 5mg and using golden doses, I can make my current and two full 7.5mg pens last until early December, which happens to be when I’m likely to hit target weight of 10st. Just wanted one last pen to see me through the Christmas temptations! Maybe I can drop to 2.5mg in Nov if all on track to eek it out.

Coventree · 27/08/2025 18:45

Wow @Merlin23, £279 every 4 weeks, more if you need a higher dose, that’s just 💔😢. So out of reach for many people ☹️

Merlin23 · 27/08/2025 18:46

dozywelshbird · 27/08/2025 08:09

wow, congrats to you both on losing 46lbs, that's nearly double what I have lost since 28th April, the mind boggles 😮(i am a teeny bit jealous too obvs 😂)

I am almost embarrassed I've lost so much as any loss is amazing. I have been truly shocked by how much I've lost.
If someone had told me I would lose half of what I've lost I would have been ecstatic. Im in disbelief myself.
Well done to everyone! 👏💪

dozywelshbird · 27/08/2025 19:03

No @Merlin23 don't be embarrassed, it's bloody brilliant!!! I hope my post didn't make you feel any type of way, hats off to you 😁 it's such an achievement 😁
