Creating this in advance, as the old thread is suddenly moving quickly due to recent events. No matter what challenges lie ahead we are still making amazing progress - so let’s keep supporting one another along the way as we approach 4 months ‘on the pen’.

Good morning. 85.5 this morning, so a loss of .8kg, or 2lbs, which is a pleasant surprise. My new pen is 12.5 . I will start it on Monday. Hoping to lose 3 kilos by Christmas. I took my visiting friend to a local independent boutique, warning her that the owner was the rudest woman in retail. I wanted to find a top for some new, gorgeous dark brown slim wool trousers, and she sneered and said that their trousers were more “fashion forward”. But apart from that she was really nice( much nicer than when I was fat), and every single thing I tried on fitted and looked great. Spent a fortune. Definitely get better treatment now. And that is wrong.

@Zebracat Well Done on the loss.
I can't believe we are so near to Christmas.
Shop assistants are definitely nicer and more enthusiastic now I am a not overweight. I live near an outlet village. I used to walk in and be amazed if they said hello or acknowledged me. Now I get chatted to. I mainly used to go in those shops to buy gifts. But my overweight money wasn't good enough.
So sad, it's quite an eye opener. They dont treat skinny people different in food shops!

I’M IN THE 10 STONES!!!!

Sorry for shouting and it’s only just over the line, but I’m so excited! Particularly as today marks the first of my 50th birthday celebrations (it’s not until a month today but Christmas birthdays are tricky to get people together so I’m starting now!). I had hoped to be in at 10st for this point but life and the pendemic put paid to that, but this feels a very proud moment 🎉

Well done @Zebracat, @Seahawk80, @Merlin23 , @Crunchymum, @AbundanceofKatherines. Keep going @dozywelshbird and good luck for today @slightlysmallerPoisonIvy 🤞

WAHOOOOO!!!!!!

dozywelshbird · 22/11/2025 12:04

Congratulations @Coventree what a way to start your birthday celebrations 🥳😁

CW 13.5
Week 29?! Loss 2lb
total loss 4stone 2lb

Very happy with another 2lb loss!!! Never in a million years did I think back in April I’d be here - feeling SOOOOOO much happier and healthier!!!
The hair loss though 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m lucky that I’ve got fine hair but lots of it (according to my hairdresser!) and it’s not looking noticeably thinner but shit me when I brush it, especially after I’ve washed it, the brush is full!!!!! Like a handful!!!!!! A positive is that I can blow dry it a lot quicker lol!!!!
And I’m taking Collagen, biotin and some gummies which are a blend of 12 mushrooms?!?! (Hubby read up on them and said they were very good for menopause etc - think I’m must have been having a moment!!!!)
Well done everyone on the NSV’s and losses - we have all done/doing amazing!!!!!
And fuck the rude shop assistants and their fat snobbery!!!!!!

Have a fab week you fab bunch!!!!

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 22/11/2025 19:08

well done @Zebracat @BeachBodyAim @Coventree !!

@BeachBodyAim yes the one positive I've found is that it dries so much quicker now!

@Coventree Woohoo that's a fabulous birthday present!!! Happy birthday month, hope you have loads of fun celebrating the big 50! 🎂🍾🎈🎉🎁
and thanks for the good luck, it worked!

Psa... Reminder to check your fridge temperature and pens!!!
Sometimes fridges need to be adjusted in very cold weather, if your house temp drops low overnight your fridge can quickly drop a few degrees too which usually is fine when it's just food in there, milk being extra icey cold on your cereal isn't a problem but with medication in there this winter remember to keep an eye on it. Mine was down to 1° this morning and we don't want our pens freezing and derailing us now when there's so much xmas food around to tempt us.

In other news... 😃😳😀Whoooooooosh!!! I lost 4.1lbs this week!!! I was hoping for a good loss but was quite shocked at that. I hit some milestones too, 4st lost and I am now under 100kg!

Scousebloke · 22/11/2025 19:25

Not posted for a while but just read the last couple of pages and huge well done to the numerous posters hitting milestones and to everyone who is still carrying on.
Im 7 months in now and i too have hit a milestone.
I set myself a target of 50lb lost by christmas and thanks to a 3lb loss this week ive hit it.
During this time my bmi has moved from 34.5 to 27.5 and my blood glucose from being in the type 2 diabetic range to normal. Thank you mounjaro and thanks to you lot, especially in the early days when you accepted a bloke in this group and gave me help, support and advice. I can't actually believe that at 55 i now weigh less than i have done for my entire adult life. I also can walk 6 or 7 miles easily or do an hour on a treadmill varying from very brisk walk speed to jogging with a steep incline. Who is this imposter pretending to be me ?

wlinewbie0425 · 22/11/2025 20:18

Hi everyone - amazing reading about all the successes still being achieved every week by our late April gang.

huge congrats on all the recent losses and NSVs. And persevering through the less fun parts like hair loss. That was amongst my biggest fears when starting as I already have very thin natural hair, I have definitely had a bit more shedding - like after pregnancies but nothing shocking that makes me regret the far more significant positives. I wonder if it’s more noticeable to those of you blessed with thick hair as it’s more hair being lost but actually to anyone else observing I bet your hair still looks great.

just saw your update @Scouseblokeit’s inspiring hearing the positive impact it’s had on your health - that’s what this is all about even more than the joy of smaller clothes.

I’ve decided to reduce my doses further as I’m still doing fine but don’t want to lose more than another 4-5lb max and also I’m finding it slightly harder to eat enough at the moment. Back to 2.5 a week I think. (I had been taking 3.33 every 5ish days to avoid the peaks and troughs). This is me pretty much moving into maintenance and trying to see what works.

PumpKim · 23/11/2025 08:35

Weigh day for me, and another 1.1lb off. That finally takes me over the half way point, so less to lose than has already gone.

Well done on all the continued fab losses.

I'm comfortably in M&S size 14s now, no tight waistband digging in 👍 considering I started as an M&S 18 and they were getting snug, that's a big NSV for me. Same with Next, I got a couple of skirts last year and they are huge now. Showed husband the waist in them and he called me Barry Bethal (IYKYK 😂). It does mean my work wardrobe is depleted and the Vinted sizing fiasco has made it harder to find stuff on there

I'm definitely losing a lot of hair! I started with a lot, and always blocked the shower drain weekly anyway, but this is another level. I don't think it's noticeable to anyone else but it is concerning to me, hopefully it slows down soon. I'm taking collagen and have been for ages, my nails are growing like wildfire but my hair not so much. My ponytail used to be fat and now it's thin, shame my belly didn't go as fast!

Hi! Hoping someone can help me calculate a dosage. I’ve taken 15 clicks on 5mg pen (so 1.25) but can’t figure out how much to extract with syringe to make it up to 2.5mg dosage. So 1.25mg on 5 mg pen would be what amt on a syringe? Thanks in advance 🙏

15 clicks is the same as 15 units/0.15ml on a syringe both of which are 1.25mg from a 5mg pen.

Edited

Thank you. I really struggle to calculate any of the changes from pen to syringe and the 2.5 - 3.75 - 5mg 🤪 Really appreciate your help.

NSV
Wedding ring is quite loose especially now it's cold. I bought a cheap silver ring that is tiny to keep my wedding ring in place. I don't want to resize as it is 25 years old and has an inscription in it!

Love a NSV, well done. I was speaking to a jeweller and you can get tiny ball bearings put into the inside of a ring to ‘pinch’ and make it fit without resizing. May be an option for you.

SW 87.65kg
CW 70.25kg
GW 65kg

Just a tiny loss of 0.25kg this week... But I've had a fair few treats and have been doing minimal exercise. I was also feeling pretty rough with cold last week, so I'm giving myself a break! Pretty pleased to have lost anything at all to be honest!

Anyway, I'm starting to feel a little bit better so I'm going to go for a quick run in a minute. It's quite a nice bright morning so I'm going to try and enjoy being out in nature for a little while 🧘🏻‍♀️🍁🍄🌳😌

Well done on all the losses and NSVs - keep it up! 💪🏻

dozywelshbird · 24/11/2025 09:20

I am in the 11s 😀

Not official weigh in day but had a sneaky peek and just had to tell someone... when I started back at the end of April my weight began with a 14 at the front, now it is 11 - so so happy...

Well done on the NSVs and SVs everyone and enjoy your run @PeachSnail

Zebracat · 24/11/2025 10:18

Well done @dozywelshbird i can only dream of 11s, but then again , I hope to be in the 12s by Christmas and I never thought I could. Just taken my 1st 12.5 dose. Really hoping for some decent losses. I roasted a huge squash yesterday, so it’s going to be lots of soup this week.

Merlin23 · 24/11/2025 10:25

@dozywelshbird
Well Done on your loss. Good job getting into the 11s
@Zebracat
You will get there. It is not a dream it's your new reality. 2026 will be your year to get there.

I started in the 14s my aim was to get into the 10's. I'm now in the 9's. Feeling bemused by this. Now going to aim for the 8's so I can maintain with wriggle room.

We have all done so well.
It is strange how these drugs work differently for different people. My body is very susceptible to mounjaro, which gives me hope for the future as I can always come back to it.
Have a great week everyone.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 24/11/2025 10:58

Morning everyone, lovely to hear so much good news!
@PeachSnail enjoy your run, I'm back on doggie boot camp for the next two days as DH is away. I took her out before breakfast but she's already stationed at the window waiting for walk 2.
@dozywelshbird well done to you, that's brilliant, @Zebracat I hope you enjoy your soup and now you have your pen all sorted I bet you will have great losses before Christmas.
@Merlin23 I know what you mean about the uncharted weight territory we're in- I had a sneaky peek this morning at my weight and I'm 11 6. I last remember being 11 and a half when I was 13. I'm been obese my whole adult life and have never lost more than 3 stone at a time. It will take some adjustment to realise I can get to a healthy weight and stay there. Seeing your progress is making it sound more realistic!

Coventree · 24/11/2025 11:05

Well done @dozywelshbird it’s great to hit that next number down 💪!

Keep going everyone as we head towards December - what amazing progress we’ve all made in our own individual ways 🎉

BudgieMom · 24/11/2025 13:38

Week 30 weigh in and its only 0.5lb today. A loss is a loss so not going to dwell on it! Well done on all the losses and hope you all have a great week 😊

Merlin23 · 24/11/2025 21:17

I've been listening to A Thorough Examination with Dr Xand and Dr Chris about ultra processed food. Absolutely fascinating, I mainly cook from scratch but this will make me even more paranoid. Read those labels carefully. I eat the M&S mini meals for my work lunch. Once I'm off the jabs I will ditch the ready meals for a more healthy non processed lunch.

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 24/11/2025 21:42

@Scousebloke well done! I often get the who even am I imposter feeling too, it's a lot of change to get used to

@wlinewbie0425 Congrats on offically being in maintenance!!!

@PumpKim Great loss, well done on reaching the halfway mark! I'm losing loads of hair despite taking all the supplements and eating all the protein and not dropping my calories too low, it is very clear in side by side progress pics but without the direct comparison it's probably not noticeable to other people. Why is it only the head hair that falls out, I wouldn't mind at all if it was the armpit or leg hair!

@Merlin23 that's an annoying nsv, yay for skinny fingers but not for the ring being too loose. Have you seen those plastic spiraly things to put on too big rings, I can't remember what they are called, I'll find a link

@PeachSnail well done for still losing while unwell, hope you're feeling better after your run!

@dozywelshbird well done on reaching the 11s !!

@BudgieMom Excellent loss!! Hope you have a great week too!

@Coffeeandallthebooks wow back to your 13yr old weight, well done!
