Creating this in advance, as the old thread is suddenly moving quickly due to recent events. No matter what challenges lie ahead we are still making amazing progress - so let’s keep supporting one another along the way as we approach 4 months ‘on the pen’.

haha, sorry @Merlin23 I could have chosen more tactful wording there couldn't I?!

It made me laugh!

Lovely to hear all the updates. Some exiting wardrobe ‘shopping’ going on this week!

I’ve had a bit of rough week at work, working really long hours and no time for breaks etc.

This means I’ve not eaten until evening meal all week, every day … so basically intermittent fasting, accidentally. And because my portion sizes are so small now, I haven’t been able to fit much in when I do eat in the evening.

ive had a stern talking to from my wife who thinks I’m going to waste away (hardly!) but I agree this isn’t healthy or sustainable for me.

i feel like I’ve lost/ become accustomed to ignoring hunger cues lately. I had a banana sat next to me in the car all day, but just no desire to eat it even though I could tell I needed food.

any tips on getting back into the swing of eating regularly?

I’ve loat another 2 lb this week, which I would normally rejoice at… but it feels like an unhealthy loss.

im still at 5ml and have been since my second pen.

wendywoopywoo222 · 19/09/2025 21:49

Went to buy a winter coat today. Picked up a xl and was glad it fitted. My niece said it’s too big for me but I said it will be fine. I’m so unused to finding things that fit that aren’t in an outsize shop. Looked in the mirror and it did look huge. Tried on and bought a Large.

3 stone 10 pounds down. 😊😊😊

3 stone 11 pound to target. 😊😊😊

Coffeeandallthebooks · 20/09/2025 06:19

Well done @wendywoopywoo222, that is a brilliant NSV as well as an impressive loss! Your niece was definitely right about the coat, you'll have to take her shopping with you always in future 😉

Coffeeandallthebooks · 18/09/2025 09:10

Good morning everyone, it has been amazing to read so much good news over the last few days!
I'm so impressed at everyone, people in the 10's!!, holidays and special occasions enjoyed (and weight loss resumed directly afterwards) And so many amazing losses and NSV's!

I seem to have caught the group good luck, as I've lost 4lbs this week taking me to 12 6. That is a BMI of 29.7 so very pleased to be out of the obese category for what I think is the first time in my adult life, I'm 45

I hope our positive streak continues and I'm looking forward to reading about more losses and brilliant NSV's going forward

Massive well done @Coffeeandallthebooks!!!

Being out of the obese category for the first time in your adult life is an amazing achievement!

Congratulations 🎉 🙌🤩💥💕👏

PeachSnail · 20/09/2025 08:42

Also lovely reading about all the clothing NSVs & exciting wardrobe shopping @wendywoopywoo222 @cannyvalley @GoGoGovy
👕👖👗👚👙

Well done everyone 💕

BeachBodyAim · 20/09/2025 09:28

SW 17.7
CW 14.4
WK 22 loss 2lb
Total loss 3st 3lb

2lb off this week - happy with that!!!
Had to find some smaller work trousers this week as the ones I finally got into about 2 months ago were hanging off me (always a nice feeling!!)
Well done everyone on the NSV’s and losses this week!! I’m so proud of us all and how far we’ve come since the end of April - it’s amazing!!!! 🤩

Zebracat · 20/09/2025 09:29

i didn’t record my weight last week because I’d gained and it was depressing( scone and aero). I have come back to my previous weight now, but that doesn’t really feel like a result. So, I’m putting last Saturdays weight in. Last week I was 89 kilos, a gain of 1.3 kilos. Today I am 87.6, a loss of 1.4 kilos. Go me!

dozywelshbird · 20/09/2025 09:38

Morning all, some inspiring SVs and NSVs going on 😁

Another 1lb loss this week which finally brings me to 2 stone lost, hurrah!

Slow and steady eh 🐌

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned

Coffeeandallthebooks · 20/09/2025 12:29

That's a really interesting article @PeachSnail , and I agree with the findings. I ordered a sweetened collagen powder for my coffee after ditching sugar, and could barely stand it at first because it was so sweet!
I hope the effect continues even after I stop MJ.

Well done on your losses @dozywelshbird , @Zebracat , and @BeachBodyAim you are all amazing, and making this look like a great weekend!

StartingApril2025 · 20/09/2025 13:59

Weigh in for me this week and stayed the same which I’m fine with, total weight lost now is 3stone 3lbs and I haven’t put on any week so taking the few stall weeks as still progress. I would say I was eating larger meals this week than previous as the surpression has lessened a lot but still happy with progress on 5mg and about to start another 5mg pen!

cannyvalley · 20/09/2025 15:44

PeachSnail · 20/09/2025 08:45

I read this article this morning about how taste and appetite changes on WLIs... I thought it was pretty accurate, based on my experience. What do other people think?
https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/sep/20/how-do-weight-loss-medications-affect-our-relationship-with-food?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other

Really interesting, and accurate as to my experience too.
I no longer enjoy eating onion or garlic , or anymore. I think this is because it doesn’t agree with my digestion with MJ… so I’ve lost the taste for it. I used to eat loads of raw onion and huge amounts of garlic in everything … I imagine I smell better now 🤣

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 20/09/2025 17:23

Accurate here too, in the first month everything tasted far too sweet or too salty but that did eventually mostly wear off

Well done on all the great losses!

I was hoping for 1.1 this week to put me in the 3st club but somehow almost tripled that! 3.1 lbs down this week 😁😁😁 total loss 44lbs

Coventree · 20/09/2025 17:27

Amazing progress @Coffeeandallthebooks 🌟

How’s the 5mg working out @Merlin23? That 1 more stone to healthy is yours for the taking 💪

Whit-woo look at you being all ‘slender’ @AbundanceofKatherines 😍

You should be so proud of yourself @Crunchymum, bloody amazing results indeed!

Love the attic raid @GoGoGovy - it’s like a free shopping trip! Clever you buying stuff all those years ago ready for this very day 👗

Ohhh so close to 10 stone @violetmondays, fingers crossed you hit it in the next month at your 1lb a week rate!

😬 @cannyvalley - tell your wife we agree with her for telling you off 🤣. But I’m the same - I can easily skip lunch (and have actually just realised I have unintentionally done so today 😬 - I shall tell myself off as my husband’s away tonight). I described it as ‘feeling empty not hungry’ to a friend who’s just started MJ today, but we should be able to overrule our disinclination to eat. I did put a reminder on my phone to eat lunch when we first started as I would often get engrossed in work and forget…maybe I should turn it back on. Would something like that help you too?

Amazing @wendywoopywoo222! Bet you look fabulous in your new coat and you’ll soon be over that tipping point of having lost more than you’ve got left to lose 😍

Interesting article @PeachSnail. I’ve had more of a thirst for oranges/satsumas/clems than I’ve ever had before, and have gone off red wine in favour of white wine (might have been a summer thing), but don’t think I’ve noticed too many other preferences - but love hearing all the stories about how the MJ has affected us all in different ways!

Wow, who would have thought we could zip through dress sizes in two months before this @BeachBodyAim?! Bet the new trousers are looking very swish.

Ha! Well done on your loss from last week @Zebracat 🤣 and love your logic!

Great result @dozywelshbird 🎉

Keep the faith @StartingApril2025 - I had a mini plateau which broke last week so hope you break yours soon too.

Merlin23 · 20/09/2025 17:48

@Coventree
I'm still bloated, but no diarrhea. I'll take that as a positive. Going out to eat tonight. So I'll be bloated overnight even though i wont eat much!
I've been hungrier this week even on the 7.5mg but I've got used to not eating much. 😆
I haven't had the overly sweet or salty taste. I still have the occasional sweet treat. But I don't crave it like I used to.

Coventree · 20/09/2025 18:41

Brilliant @slightlysmallerPoisonIvy 👏👏👏. Great loss!

toobusytoclean · 20/09/2025 21:26

Totally off track this week. Missed Wednesday weigh in and jab. Weighed this evening and have regained the 4lbs I lost last week.
portion sizes have definitely increased over the past couple of days and I have had 2 takeaways this week - emotional eating is my downfall.
can’t let all the money I have spent go to waste. Need to get back on it.
Feeling annoyed with myself.

Scousebloke · 21/09/2025 09:28

Greetings from Naples. We are just past halfway through our holiday and its been lovely. Been to Pompeii, Santorini, Amalfi, Possetano and Ravello. Ive mainly stuck to healthy eating bar these following treats - A pizza in Naples is the law, A large Oreo ice cream is also mandatory in Italy and 3 bottles of Corona beer watching my football team was my first alcohol for a couple of months. As expected my wife has had me walking around everywhere averaging about 16,000 steps a day so i don't think i will have done too much damage to my mounjaro journey. Home late Wednesday, jab Thursday and weigh in Saturday. Good luck to everyone. Keep going. We deffo got this x

Zebracat · 21/09/2025 09:45

@toobusytoclean chin up girl, it’s not so bad. You’ve got this and we’ve got you.
Hello back, @Scousebloke you’ve been incredibly restrained, all your indulgences just sound like a normal Saturday night to me😂
Actually did go out last night to a 3 course meal at a friends house. I moved some tomatoes and peppers around my plate for a starter and had the smallest possible amounts of everything else. 3 glasses of wine though. Terrible wind this morning. I should never have eaten those edamame beans! I feel I did ok.

Merlin23 · 21/09/2025 09:52

@toobusytoclean you got this it's a journey. 1 week doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
@Scousebloke
Sounds like you're having a great holiday
@Zebracat how do you eat a 3 course meal. I struggle eating a half course meal 🤣 Sounds like a fun night.
Have a great Sunday everyone!

PumpKim · 21/09/2025 10:32

Checking in for weigh day and catching up. More fabulous losses and NSVs. Well done everyone.
1.3lb off for me this week and I've just edged into the 'overweight'' BMI category, what an achievement 🤣 so funny to be please about being overweight 🤣
@dozywelshbird I'm with you in the slow and steady gang, 2 stone 1.3lb off for me in total 🐌. Hopefully good for long term maintenance and no saggy skin, not so great for the bank balance!
On that note I need to think about ordering my next pen. I didn't manage to stockpile any, and I had thought that I could manage the increased cost by dropping down to 5mg but I don't think it will be effective for me, I'm kind of ambling along nicely on 7.5 with minimal side effects, and steady weight loss. I'm going to have to jump around a bit now to take advantage of new customer discounts, just hope my new 'overweight' status isn't a barrier to that - has anyone done much changing suppliers once they drop below 30 BMI?

Zebracat · 21/09/2025 11:57

@Merlin23 I didn’t eat the starter, just a padron pepper and a tomato. I had a tiny helping of salmon and a spoonful of potato, and too many beans. Then a small helping of summer pudding. I am really suffering today though, it was more than I normally eat.

Hawkmoth · 21/09/2025 12:18

Also suffering today. Was tempted by GF chicken pakoras and curry last night. Only had a v small portion of each but it's really not sat well. Bit depressing, so I'll dig out my Healthy Indian cookbook this week and make something low fat and tasty... And then have a tiny portion of it!

Anyway, today I have hit the 20% loss mark. I am really very happy about this. Also I bought a medium belt this week, which just seems completely mad to me. Can't wait for it to get cold so I can prance about in my jumper dresses with a nipped in waist!
