Creating this in advance, as the old thread is suddenly moving quickly due to recent events. No matter what challenges lie ahead we are still making amazing progress - so let’s keep supporting one another along the way as we approach 4 months ‘on the pen’.

Late weigh in this week as after school event yesterday meant I just crashed as soon as I got in.
1.8kg down 😳my biggest loss in a single week since starting.
My eating habits haven’t been great since going back to school - skipping meals and not drinking enough water so I’m not happy that this was a healthy loss. But it’s all in the right direction and if I don’t lose anything next week that’s fine
SW 87.1kg
CW 73.8kg

Total loss 13.3kg. Finally joined the 2 stone club 💪🎉

Yay 2 stone club!!! Take care of yourself, eat, drink water. You are precious xx

Nothing measly about a loss! Especially after a domino’s (yum).

re wisdom teeth. I’ve had the same issue for years. I bought a HISmile toothbrush (amazing , amazing toothbrush) and a water pick / water flosser. Utter game changer, haven’t had a flare up in 2 years (previously at least once a year or more). Having mine removed would mean extensive surgery, as apparently they are positioned in very tricky spot and roots are ‘enmeshed’ (don’t fully understand this but sounds gnarly so I tend not to dwell on it), so managing this has become a total mission for me.

Thank you and yes a loss is a loss.

My wisdom teeth saga sounds similar. It won't be a straightforward operation and I'd been putting it off and managing the odd infection every few years. During Covid I had a particularly horrible infection and they wanted me to come to the dental hospital the very next day for extraction. They wouldn't agree to x-ray me first, wouldn't consult with my dentist who had recently (within a year) seen me and had my notes so could at least show them I was a complex case. They just wanted me to come in and have them out!! So I refused and it's been in flux since. I've actually since been referred to the same dental hospital for removal but the waiting list is immense. However 5 years ago they were just going to have me in and whip (all?) my wisdom teeth out.

I'll look into the the toothbrush and flosser. Good shout!

Saturday morning weigh in.
I lost another 2lb this week making a total loss of 2 stone 12lb (40lb). Close to the 3 stone mark but with a week in Naples with the wife from Wednesday i may have to wait a week or 3.
Happy with the way its going.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 13/09/2025 07:14

Well done @Scousebloke 2lbs is a good loss. You are so close to 3 stone and that is amazing.
I hope you both have a great time in Naples, it sounds lovely!

We love Italy. We stayed in Sorrento a few years ago and traveled round the whole area. You will have a fantastic time! Enjoy! Not jealous, not jealous! 🤣

bridgetreilly · 13/09/2025 10:52

Gah! I have literally just decided to start golden dosing as a way to increase the dose while still on my 5mg NHS prescription, when I discover they are stopping them. I am not massively surprised that they are doing it, but the timing is crap from my pov. My other strategy, however, to start taking it every 6 days, they can’t stop! Maybe at some point my GP will notice, but I’m not very organised about doing repeat prescriptions, so there’s always a bit of randomness and I think it will take a while before anyone can tell I’m ordering slightly more often.

bridgetreilly · 13/09/2025 10:54

I guess my other option is to see whether I can get a private prescription to supplement my NHS one. I definitely can’t afford to pay for 7.5mg a month, but maybe 2.5mg. Dunno.

BeachBodyAim · 13/09/2025 13:00

SW 17.7
CW 14.6
maintain this week which I’m delighted with as we went away for 4 days to Spain and although my food was fine (gorgeous salads!! And why are Spanish tomatoes SO nice?!?!) and we walked miles and miles the alcohol was a lot!!! Had a fantastic time - 14 of us in Benidorm! We stayed in the beautiful old part and just dipped in and out of the wild side!!!!
We go every year as a group of couples and my amazing supportive friends showed me pictures from last year to make me actually visualise how far I’ve come and what 3 stone weight loss looks like - wow!! The difference was unbelievable and I feel so much better about myself - Mounjaro has been a life changer for me definitely!!!
Anyway, sorry to go on 🤪 Well done everyone and keep smashing it!!!

GoGoGovy · 13/09/2025 14:14

Nice nsv today.

I finally got around to washing and drying all of the holiday clothes. Bagged them up and put them in the attic. In the attic I found a big bag of size 12 clothes that I’ve purchased over the last 15(?) years. All new and purchased in the sale, with the intention of slimming down and fitting into them - have I mentioned that I am a hoarder?😉 Well, I’ve just had a massive trying on session and 🎉 some of them fit me. That’s me sorted for the autumn.

Hawkmoth · 13/09/2025 14:37

An NSV today for me too: my knee high boots fit. I've bought some jumper dresses in celebration.

Honestly it seems like 5 minutes ago last time I tried them on and nearly shredded my fingers desperately heaving on the zip.

AbundanceofKatherines · 13/09/2025 16:03

Hello lovely friends. Well done on the scales and with the nsvs - always great to hear everyone’s news.

I am late checking in this week as I’ve been feeling a bit meh with MJ. Stayed the same, which I’m okay with - so still a healthy weight and in the 9s. I’m 2 days late jabbing as I just didn’t feel like it, but I have jabbed now - did 6.25 of my new 7.5 pen. I was going to use the last of the ‘golden dose’ from my last one but I couldn’t get rid of an air bubble, so chickened out.

I’m hoping for a better week this week as I don’t have as many work and family distractions.

Enjoy the rest of your weekends x

wlinewbie0425 · 13/09/2025 16:33

yay for all the end of week/weekend losses everyone! @toobusytocleanI used to be in the same profession and know exactly what you mean about no time to eat/drink.

@Crunchymumi also had the same wisdom tooth saga - I had one half through that got infected every few years and was complex due to roots around nerve. I put it off for over a decade but finally had it out last year. Despite having it done in hospital with only a local and then getting dry socket which was awful, I am really glad it’s done. I would however recommend pushing for sedation as I wished I had.

Well done @Scouseblokeand have a wonderful time in Naples. Hope you are able to enjoy the lovely food still.

Your friends sound brilliant @BeachBodyAim and a maintain is exactly what you would hope for after enjoying lovely time away.

@GoGoGovyI’ve just had a similar NSV today - only I hadn’t kept any size 12 trousers, so took myself to the shops today. I’ve been putting it off until I hit healthy wait and felt optimistic that some size 12 jeans might fit me… every single pair of the many I tried did. I actually felt a bit choked when the ones I was sure wouldn’t did up (albeit a bit snug). So happy 😊 going to relegate the 16&18s now to the loft but keep my comfy 14s out alongside the new 12s bought today.

and woohoo for knee high boots! I still have a pair I love and plan to still wear with skinny jeans or leggings and jumper dresses this winter even though mine are probably not in fashion - couldn’t care less!

@AbundanceofKatherinesits bound to be really slow now that you’re down in the 9s. Even if it’s just maintaining most weeks and the occasional pound it’s still amazing.

bridgetreilly · 13/09/2025 20:40

After reading @Crunchymum and @wlinewbie0425 ’s wisdom tooth sagas I am very grateful for the dentist I had 30 years ago who looked at the x-rays of mine and immediately referred me to have them all out under general anaesthetic!

PumpKim · 14/09/2025 10:36

Weigh in day today and 1.7lb off. Making me securely at 2 stone off in total at last! My average weight has been hovering around it for ages! Another 1lb and I'll be officially 'overweight' 🤣

Had a lot to catch up on! This thread moves fast. @Coventree timely reminder about the TDEE, and @Zebracat about old habits sneaking in - I found myself eating coco pops at 10pm last night. Why? 🙈

My new jab day is Sunday, still on 7.5mg. I was considering dropping back to 5mg due to cost but I'm not sure it would be effective enough, in fact I could probably do with going up, but will see how I get on this month. I did have a delayed jab previously due to holiday so it might be better now levels are back to normal.

I know comparison is the thief of joy but I am very envious of all of you shrinking down to smaller sizes so quickly. I was (am?) a size 18, and while some things are definitely too big, others still fit. Had a work event this weekend and even though I know I looked better than I would have a year ago, my dress was still a size 18.
It's the curse of being apple shaped, nothing fits my non-existent waist, even though my waist has shrunk by 4 belt holes ☹️

Anyway enough moaning, I've lost 2 stone and people are starting to notice so woo! 🥳

cannyvalley · 14/09/2025 10:39

Morning all,

im absolutely living for the clothes NSV’s from everyone. I went though all my clothes again yesterday, and have relegated another haul to the charity shop ( I’m NOT keeping them, I’m never going back to those bigger sizes!!!). I did this a few weeks ago and I’m pleasantly surprised to find some of the 14’s I was fitting then are now too big. My weight loss is slow and steady but my body shape is really changing now and I’m seeing a change every week.

I need some smart / formal outfits for next week at work, and have discovered some really lovely size 12 trousers and shirts that fit me again. Happy days, it’s like a free shopping trip!

im always so inspired and motivated to read everyone’s posts. Thank you , everyone, for continuing to share your journeys here. It’s so meaningful and helpful for me, to be part of this community.

we are amazing!!!!!

Sheldon4k · 15/09/2025 00:23

Well done everyone on losses, NSVs and maintaining or minimal gains whilst enjoying holidays!
I have been popping on and reading your posts over the last couple of weeks but have a very busy time at work at the moment.

I am also now in the 'normal' weight range being 9st 11 with BMI just under 25. So a little over a 2st loss since starting out in april, but also only about 4lbs away from where I would be happy to get to (although I am thinking maybe if I could get slightly lower so I have a buffer it would be ideal for maintenance).
My gym days are practically non existent currently due to a painful frozen shoulder so I am hoping when I can get back into it that will help me across the final hurdle and help with maintaining.

speaking of maintenance...Is anyone else thinking about coming off of MJ in the near future to maintain without it? and if so.. can we still stay within this group or is it likely to get too confusing? I still have 3 x 5mg pens left so I will continue until they have gone but wont be buying anymore now. I have never gone over 3.75mg and continued buying pens every 4 weeks, also had the 4 week break when on holiday so have ended up with a mini stockpile. Im currently having 3mg as im happy with the appetite level on this, I dont like not being able to eat, although I am risking using a pen over 30 days open.

Everyone carry on updating with all the positives, its become my late night reading wind down after long hours working!!

wlinewbie0425 · 15/09/2025 08:33

Hi @Sheldon4kgood to hear from you and i don’t think we have any rules - good to share all the varied aspects of this experience, if coming off or staying on long term. I plan to stay on until around the 1 year mark then decide whether to stop or do low dose maintenance longer term.

Well done everyone on your amazing loses and NSV’s, you are all inspirational to me as I read!

I’ve hit the 3 stone loss this morning and am just in the healthy weight BMI and can’t really believe it. It’s incredible what we can do.

I’ve gone down to 2.5mg of MJ due to the SE that I was having and I’m planning on staying with MJ on a low dose. Have about 1 stone 4 to go.

PeachSnail · 15/09/2025 09:30

Weigh day check-in

SW 87.65kg
CW 75.05kg
GW 65kg

Feeling frustrated as I only lost 0.1kg and I still haven't managed to bust through that 75kg mark... Urgh, if I'm honest I think portion sizes have begun to creep up and bad habits like wine and chocolate have also started to creep back in 😩

Also, I had a night out for my friend's 40th on Saturday and wasn't moderate with the drinks!

I think I've got to a point where I'm feeling much better about my appearance and my fitness is getting really good (got a Parkrun PB on Saturday!) and so I've kind of taken the foot off the gas in terms of having the willpower to maintain healthy habits. Because I get pretty strong SE from MJ, I feel better sticking to lower doses, and that does require some supplementary willpower.

I'm going to try to be better this week... Need to break that pesky 75kg mark! 💪

dozywelshbird · 15/09/2025 09:45

well done everyone on your losses...
no loss for me this week 🤔I have felt hungrier and I haven't been able to get all my walks in, but I would still have expected a loss, very frustrating as I bloody need this to work at this price - humpfffff

@PumpKim I am also the dreaded apple shape so I feel your pain, I too can't yet nicely fit into smaller things in my wardrobe, my jeans are hanging off me around my arse and thighs but when I've gone to buy the next size down they are still a tad too tight on my waist - I hate dressing this shape

I've taken just slightly more than 5mg this morning to see if that will help this week.

Have a good day everyone 😁

StartingApril2025 · 15/09/2025 12:36

Ah well done everyone! So inspiring to read everyone’s posts, Iv lost 3stone 3lbs now but biggest NSV this week was that I got my blood results back and no long pre diabetic and my cholesterol is now at a more acceptable level - still not ideal but in the right direction and on cusp of normal !
all my clothes are too big now but funds don’t allow a big shop so got a few pairs of trousers on vinted but need some tops and cardigans for winter. I should organise myself to sell stuff on vinted but seems like a lot of faff- does anyone have experience?
also I have the fear if I get rid of things what if I put all the weight on again!

cannyvalley · 15/09/2025 14:35

Aghhhhh I’m 10 stone !!!!!!

10 stone!!!!!! I can’t actually believe this. It’s one of my dreamy ‘imagine if I was 10 stone’ weights that I’ve had in my head for years.

i haven’t been this weight for about 10 years.
Probably since my wedding.

im absolutely cock a hoop and I don’t care who knows it 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

And I went out for a celebration meal last week AND I’ve got my period , which makes me doubly impressed with my self for hitting this milestone!

@cannyvalley
I'm so happy for you. 10 stone is my target and I haven't been 10 stone since I was at school that was too many years ago to count.
I was 10st 9lbs this morning which I'm in disbelief over.
I cant believe how mounjaro is working so well for so many of us!
