Lots of very useful discussions going on on the old thread, so I thought I would continue it!

It'll vary by supplier, but around £175, I think.

Nobody knows for sure and it will depend on the deals individual pharmacies can strike with Eli Lilly.

My main point was that I think telling all about the amazing amount of money saved is a little unkind as there will be those for whom this is not an option.
Its all about having a little bit of decorum and not advertising yourself as a little lacking in empathy.
I understand why some posters stockpiled. I really do. But don't show off about it perhaps?

I see where you're coming from, yes. It's a tough time, a lot of emotions flying round.

Medicine marketplace has confirmed £271 for 15mg, oushk seem to confirm £320 the other day when they stated that the pens will now be £160-£320.

I’m really worried about this increase.

But see, this also comes across as a bit sanctimonious and holier that thou...

"I am disappointed in the behaviour of the British Public"
"You are judgy and it is something I would never do"

See how easily it is done?

Written words on a screen are a bugger. They can be read with all sorts of intent that may not actually be there.

Ha, yep, true! I apologise for that. Lack of thought on my part

flameprincess · 16/08/2025 15:21

Is there a price comparison site for WeGovy that's as good as Monj?

Scarlettpixie · 16/08/2025 15:22

PlayfulWrangler · 16/08/2025 06:39

So sick of these weight loss questions, especially in relation to Wegovy & Ozempic. Society's general reliance on drugs is masking the real culprits of the obesity epidemic, which are processed & UPFs, additives, hidden sugars & fats, fast food & insufficient protein intake. It's not only fucking with our bodies, but our brains also.

IMHO you are playing with fire when we do not know the long term impact of these drugs when taken for weight loss.

Educate yourself and accept there's no such thing as easy, quick fix weight loss. Real long-term fat loss takes time(months & months) and work.

So many overweight people just refuse to put any real work in.

Why are you even here on the weightloss injections discussion board if that is your view? Tour ignorance of the subject is clear.

Yes, we know weighloss takes a lot of time and effort. It still does when you the injections! They are just a tool that makes it possible to stick to the diet long term. Most of us are in this for the long haul. I have been on it 8 months and lost 3.5 stone. I anticipate it will take me about 18 months total to get to my target weight.

Realistically it’s going to take a month or two to settle back down. Pharmacies cannot agree with each other what the new prices will be as that would be illegal price fixing, but once the new prices are in the system they will all work out what their optimal business strategy is to make the most money overall, and the prices will settle to a narrower range similar to what we see now. Oushk and MM are in a similar place in therms of support offered / name recognition ect, so I’d be very surprised if they ended up wildly different overall.

Squiffy01 · 16/08/2025 09:29

There has been no communication at all from Medino that I have got. They were completely out of stock last night but seem to have more this morning. But the fact their prices have gone up makes me think they did not go out of stock at all and just wanted to put prices up when everyone is desperate to buy.

I have a 10% off for referal if anyone wants it though.

Thats exactly my thought on what they did too.
One minute stock, price increase and no stock.
24 hours later, loads of stock.
Stinks to me .
Places like that are just disgusting and greedy 🤬🤬

I’m really worried about this increase.

I think everyone is. At the moment there are only two pharmacies I have seen who have confirmed price ranges (medicine marketplace and Oushk). Only medicine marketplace seem to have confirmed their full pricing structure - you can see it on their website. I’d imagine that most pharmacies are working on the discounts with Eli Lilly and also shipping the huge volume of orders, before they can confirm. Both MMP and Oushk have confirmed that their 15mg will be below the £330 list price, which shows that Eli Lilly ARE willing to give discounts. I’d not heard of MMP before but Oushk is a small pharmacy. So I’d imagine the larger pharmacies are going to be able to negotiate even better discounts. The lower dosages also seem to be hit a little less by the increases. It’s the top doses which have really tripled in price

I was listening to some horrible woman at work being all gleeful about the price increases ( she doesn’t know i’m on it ‘ She said words along the lines of ‘all these fatties will get cancer caused by the jab as they don’t know the long term effects. And the evidence for this is where? ..

Well not that i would have said to her i was on it , but i would have said something along the lines of what a vile horrible comment which shows what sort of person you are . Nasty ***

WeAllHaveWings · 16/08/2025 15:32

Wistfullysleepy · 16/08/2025 14:35

@WeAllHaveWingsmy understanding is that this was a step beyond inspection - they had an official enforcement order. This means to improve or face being shut down. Hopefully they’ve turned it around

Yes it was an inspection that resulted in an enforcement notice for which the deadline has passed last month.

It is not a resit they need to pass with an A* or get shutdown. If they have come out of enforcement they could potentially now go to passed or an improvement notice instead.

I've started another, hopefully calmer thread to discuss managing these price increases, in case anyone would like to join me? It's just me at the moment 😬

Very unkind to suggest certain people on the thread aren’t welcome. What a “kind and supportive” environment.

usedtobeaylis · 16/08/2025 15:38

I'm probably going to have to stop taking Mounjaro by December at the absolute latest, earlier if my current dose isn't sufficient, I can't stretch it out any further. I don't really think I'm going to get my last ordered pens at current prices which means I'd have to stop earlier - and I really don't mind people talking about how much they've saved or stockpiled. I don't find it unkind and I don't find it their fault. I'm glad there are people who will be secure - ultimately it's not generally people who can afford to play inflated prices and pay them indefinitely who are doing it, because they won't care, they know they can access it regardless. It's an artificially created situation and as usual it's the people in need scrapping it out amongst themselves for scraps. So if you've saved a couple of hundred quid or managed to get an extra few pens - I'm happy for you that you've got some breathing space.

You don't understand why someone would do something differently to you so think shaming them is the way to go

Why is this any of your business ?
Its not your money or your life.
Why are people so interfering in other peoples business ?
