@Crinklecat interesting about the wine. I used to drink wine every night but now I only drink at the weekend or if I go out. I don’t have the same “need” for a couple of glasses every night. This has been a definite positive for me being on MJ. I am hoping I will get into a habit and when I eventually come off it will remain so! Therefore worried to hear you suddenly fancy wine again. Think I would give it a week and see how you go before you immediately move to a higher dose. Well done on the weight loss though - love a nice graph!!

Thank you. Yes I’ve noticed it creep back in, along with thinking about food more. Life’s been a bit stressful recently so could be related to that too. It was definitely one of the best points of MJ for me

Crinklecat · 17/10/2025 20:17

so I’ve worked out I still get full after eating less but I can eat past it like I used to. And when I’m stuffed I still fancy more. I miss the mental suppression.

MissMogs · 18/10/2025 12:34

Had a bit of a whoosh this morning, and I’ll take that even if I know I’ll bounce up again over the next few days. But as of that moment in time, I’ve lost just over 20kg which is over 3 stone! Not even halfway there yet so I know it’s a long road ahead. Cheered myself up by googling “what weighs 20kg” and realised that’s almost as much as a holiday suitcase! To think I’ve been carrying that around for years! No wonder I’m achey and tired!

healthjourney · 18/10/2025 13:20

Hi everyone, 1lb off for me this week taking me to 2.5 stones gone and just over 1 stone until my initial target. Since I am now the lowest weight ive ever been as an adult I might change that target up or down when I get closer and see what I actually look and feel like. Weird to think that in a few months I'll be a healthy weight for the first time ever 🤯

I've been on 3.75mg for 4 weeks now and I'm finding it pretty intense for half the week, my calories have been on average where I want them to be but varying wildly. Im still managing to hit at least 80g protein every day though so I'm not too worried but it just doesn't feel good to be under 1000 cals for 3 days, it means my body was seriously craving extra food by Wednesday when the satiety had settled down. Im hoping I'll settle down a bit now and be able to eat a bit more consistently.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend

RussianDoll76 · 18/10/2025 15:11

Hi everyone, lovely to catch up and see how everyone’s journey is going.

No loss for me this week ( first week on 5mg) but have definite rise in suppression more than 2.5mg did and food noise is much less . Still finding I want the unhealthier food options which is not great as I was eating so clean and loving it. Just been shopping and have lots of fruit & veggies so looking to get creative in the kitchen this weekend . I definitely need prepped food on hand to keep me away from snacks.

After feeling very excited by fitting into much smaller clothes lately I now feel a bit flat. Have just been and purchased a crosstrainer so hoping a couple of bursts a day on that will make me feel better.
Now watching Christmas movies while glugging down as much water as possible 😂. I have an afternoon to myself for a change .
Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend !

SecretIrnBruDrinker · 18/10/2025 15:32

No weight off this week, at all. I am trying to be mature about it. I know it probably means I'll be caught up by next week. I know I've had my flu jab and period this week and that'll have an effect. I know I've managed to squeeeeze into a pair of large size 14 jeans. But my bottom lip is still a bit pouty!

RatherTardy · 18/10/2025 19:20

I had a bit of a scary thought.

Because of my bulk buying (as a lot of us did), I panicked if I need more pens (once I finally get through the ones I've got), will I be regarded as a new customer.
And therefore not eligible.

Turns out, one of the pens I bought was on subscription. Who knew!

So I've now got an extra pen, and I've paused my subscription.
Win!

FoxRedPuppy · 18/10/2025 19:58

I out on almost a kg this week! Got a bit lazy I think! Back on it though.

have been on a bit of a vinted buying and selling spree! Lots of people are noticing now.

waitingforlifeonmars · 18/10/2025 21:05

I think when I return from holiday I’ll up my dose, currently on 5mg, but think I now need more. Although I stopped eating my pizza (hubby makes) leaving 2 slices- I didn’t feel full, stuffed like I have done previously and I am hungry and food noise is back, indicated by my opening call the kitchen cupboards to find food. I’m jealous of people who have stayed on low doses and lost loads of weight. Mine is about 1lb per week but a lot less the last few weeks and I have noticed a bit of a plateauing!
I know everyone’s experience is different but it does make me wonder why it can’t be me! Obviously I’m just feeling low and wondering if I’ll make my next jab date without eating myself stupid!!

In other news though I got into a size medium top in primark! Still not gone down a size in the bottoms though (except 1 pair which must be large smaller size!), but they are looser! I did notice in the mirror my arse is flatter but my thigh chunks are not going down so I’m a really weird ugly shape!! Probably need to do some glute exercises!!!

Edited

Naturally things have corrected this morning and I’m back up 1.25kgs from yesterday!!

I’m on 7.5mg If that helps. And I was super responsive to 2.5 in the beginning.

it’s still helping with wine, although that might also be that I broke the habit. But I’ve noticed that even when I do have wine I don’t drink anywhere near as much as before. I see it as getting me used to not being in it any more.

I'm not far from goal, well first goal! But then I intend to stay on it for a while and very slowly come down for maintenance. I will still on some amount for as long as possible to maintain.

RussianDoll76 · 20/10/2025 09:07

After no loss last week I woke up to a 2lb loss overnight . Which means I am now 11stone 😳 1 stone from goal weight ( but will still be overweight according to bmi as i am a short arse) to think I may see the 10’s in the next month is blowing my mind. Swimming , crosstrainer and gentle weights will be commencing in the next 2 wks as need to start thinking of ways to help with maintenance and there is no getting away from the fact that regular exercise is going to help.

still not many people seem to have noticed 🤔 I have gone from wearing 18’s to 12’s .
maybe they all think I am sick . Oh well I can tell so that’s the whole point really . Now off to look for Halloween fancy dress costume . I never partake but feel confident enough to join in this year so that’s a positive NSV!! ☺️

I love this! Here’s to all of us coming out of our fat shells and living the lives we want to!

SunandMoor · 20/10/2025 09:26

Wk 19 D1 - lost a pound and a half so 2 stone 5 in total. Had a blood test last week and everything was normal! Keep going everyone!

RussianDoll76 · 20/10/2025 12:46

This is for calorie counters ,
How do you calculate your calories I am on nutracheck and they advise 1300-1400 caps per day. I used a tdee calculator and that says 1777 per day quite a difference. I’ve been doing 1400-1500 as less cals makes more sense to me but the few times my weight loss has had a boost is when I’ve had a higher calorie day. 🤔 I am considering doing a week at 1700 and seeing what happens but I would be gutted if I gained 😂.

You can set your own calories on nutracheck. If you go to the three lines at top and the Nutrient goals on the menu. It won’t let you do less than 1200.

Thank you @FoxRedPuppyi have done that it’s just I’m not sure which is the best guidance to follow the tdee calculator or calorie counter as the difference is almost 400 - 500 calories . So confusing . 🙂

healthjourney · 20/10/2025 15:56

@RussianDoll76 I used the tdee calculator to begin with but since then have reviewed based on my tracked calories eaten and average weight loss. So basically if ive been eating an average of 1250ish calories and losing an average of 1.5lbs a week then I am in a deficit of 750ish cals per day so my current tdee must be around 2000.
It has definitely slowed as ive lost weight as that intake and same activity was closer to 2lbs a week loss at that start. That actually tracks pretty close to the TDEE calculator for me but I know everyone is different.

It definitely helps to look at it over a longer period of time than getting too focused on one week though as sometimes/often the scales will fluctuate loads day to day or week to week. Over time it should show you a trend to work out your actual TDEE though as long as you are tracking pretty accurately and have fairly consistent activity levels. Not sure if this helps you at all

FoxRedPuppy · 20/10/2025 17:46

Sorry I misunderstood! I actually go slightly lower than my tdee, as I find that works.

First proper week on 7.5 (I’ve been doing 7.5 from a 5mg pen. And clearly I wasn’t doing a full dose, as suddenly have very strong suppression back and struggling to eat!

SunandMoor · 20/10/2025 18:32

To lose 1.5lb a week you have to have a deficit of 750 cals a day. So if you used a TDEE calculator and knocked of 750 that should be what you are aiming for each day. If that goes below 1200 then this is the minimum recommended I think.

FoxRedPuppy · 21/10/2025 07:55

I’m back to serious suppression. I can only manage a few mouthfuls of food, and have that sort of nausea aversion after that.

Really getting into my weights at the moment so I need the fuel.

Oops. I’ll be doing less next week.

MissMogs · 21/10/2025 12:22

I’ve had the opposite problem this week! Decided to jab a day early this morning as I was after everything in sight!

FoxRedPuppy · 21/10/2025 18:31

I’m really struggling to eat today. I find it really hard when I cook too. My son commented that I was eating bird portions.

And I went for a run (and then weight training) and it was hard because I’m not fuelling myself.

I really thought I was already injecting 7.5mg, because I was going 1ml from a syringe from a 5mg pen.

Xmasfairy86 · 21/10/2025 19:02

Nearly a week on my first wegovey shot and so far so good. No side effects at all which is lovely! Bowel movements were a little loose on MJ so this is welcome!!! 😂😂

No weight loss, but no gain. Need to go back to basics I think and track my foods

LadyClumber · 21/10/2025 19:10

@FoxRedPuppy - that sounds tough! Do you think you can reduce your dosage to take the edge off your hunger but allow you to eat more?
