@BadgerFace - well done!!

Morning! Well done to those feeling good right now and hope those who are struggling see some improvements soon. After a very slow August, September has renewed my enthusiasm and the scales have started moving a bit more!

Today I'm down 1.6lbs which takes me to below the weight recorded at my first midwife appointment so I'm now back into pre-baby weight territory! Hurrah! It also tipped me into Onederland with a weight of 199.6lbs 😂 chuffed to see 1 something again!

SW: 16 stone (101.7kg)
CW: 14st 3.6lbs (90.6kg)

I'm a slow loser compared to many (24.4lbs in 17 weeks) but it's coming off and I feel good, which is the important thing 🫶

I'm very short and wearing size 18 clothes so still a way to go, but a few tops in 18 are starting to look too big so hoping to be into size 16s soon 🤞 so glad I started this journey, even if it's costing me a fortune 😂

Puffalicious · 26/09/2025 12:31

Hey all,

SW 12st 4
CW 11st 9
GW 10st 10 (healthy BMI)

Not checked in in a while. I've been stalling & slooooow. I'm relating to reading others talking about suppression still okay but food noise back! I've been having a single Twirl/ 4 squares of dark choc most days, which isn't awful, but i hadn't done that in months! Thinking about bread a lot too!

Looking for advice on cost. I had to go back to 2.5mg as I just couldn't get a 5mg. It's okay, but 3.75mg was perfect, & if i continue to stall I may need to go up further than that

I really can't afford the new rises, so what's my cheapest way of having 3.75mg? I'll happily use the pen for 8 or 10 injections. Should I buy a 7.5mg or a 5mg? What's/ Where's my cheapest option?

It's complicated by the fact I'm with a local pharmacy, so have never been with an online provider. Will they supply to me with just under a stone to healthy BMI? Pharmacy already told me if I hadn't been an existing customer they wouldn't provide now.

Help please!

@SomethingAboutYou - well done slow and steady is good!

Crinklecat · 26/09/2025 16:12

@Puffalicious use this website for pricing. I’ve just got a 10mg pen that I’ll be using for 4mg every 5 days

Crinklecat · 26/09/2025 16:14

14th week and just hit 3 stone down! Aiming for 2 more which makes me still overweight but I think will be ok for me

ChiaraMontague · 26/09/2025 17:31

Just done my 16th injection so thought I’d do an update:

SW: 103.6kg
CW: 88.5kg
GW: 75kg

Body measurements :

Bust : -4cm
Waist: -9cm
Hips: -14cm
Bicep: -6cm
Thigh: -8cm
Calf: -2cm (to be fair, my calves had a constant workout from carrying all that extra weight so they are very muscular)

I’ve just finished my second 7.5mg pen and I think I will stick at this dose for another 4 weeks as I’m still feeling high suppression and losing about 4kg a month. I want to get back to my full gym routine.

I wore a pair of size 14-16 leggings to the gym today - absolutely amazing to be in that size. I was eyeballing them and thought no way they would go over my bum or hips but they actually fit! Also wore a size 16 clingy wrap dress to work, I haven’t worn it for years but it fit better than ever. And my wide fit work shoes are comically large, I didn’t think I had fat feet but obviously did 😂

My wedding and engagement rings are in danger of falling off so I bought a ring sizer kit from Amazon as a temporary measure. I’ll eventually get them resized but feels wasteful to do this before I reach goal. The plastic spiral is a little bit annoying but better than losing the rings!

I’ve been buying a few bits on Vinted to tide me over, often buying something I’ve already got but 2 sizes smaller. Unfortunately I think I’m going to have to venture into a shop to buy new jeans in the next couple of weeks, I’ve got as much wear as I can out of my current pair but they are starting to look like I’ve borrowed them from Charlie Chaplin!

This is PHENOMENAL thank you!!!

Anyone any tips for being accepted? I'm fearful that they'll reject me. TIA

Hiiiii!

It's been a long time since i've posted. Been on 5mg a few months now and seems the same with others about food noise being an issue again! Weight loss very slow.

Has anyone switched to wegovy due to prices & whats your experience please?

healthjourney · 27/09/2025 08:51

Morning everyone! 2lbs off for me this week which took me to 11st13! I haven't seen an 11 on the scales for 9 years. Even then it was only for a few weeks before I went on holiday, gained half a stone then never lost it again.
I am now feeling confident for probably the first time ever that I will get to my target of a healthy weight. Im still 18lbs away from that but I know I'll get there, I just have to keep going.
My first week on 3.75mg has been good, not a dramatic change from 2.5 but it definitely gave me a boost, food noise has been very quiet and satiety has lasted well through the whole 7 days.
I hope everyone is feeling good and has some lovely weekend plans ahead 😊

Bloozie · 27/09/2025 17:02

Coming to end of first week of 3.75mg. It’s not giving as much suppression as I’ve experienced in the early days of 2.5mg but living with a bit of hunger is ok so I might go another week at it before upping to 5mg.

A NSV that I’m not happy about - my beloved winter coat is too big and I can’t find the size down on Vinted. It’s a massive heavy black and white long wool coat from Next last year and I love it. LOVE it. I’m just going to keep wearing it huge.

Xmasfairy86 · 28/09/2025 06:44

SW: 105.kg
CW: 95.5kg
GW: 75ish - this keeps changing 😂

weight loss has definitely slowed but can’t afford to go up to 7.5 (or to continue at 5 really 😂😂!)

considering Wegovy for cost, asked before and got no response but will try again, has anyone made the switch?

RatherTardy · 28/09/2025 08:02

So nice reading everyone's successes.

I'm plodding on slowly and very happy to see an lb off and then an lb off each week.

Crinklecat · 28/09/2025 15:41

Also to hear people’s experience of wegovy

PfizerFan · 28/09/2025 15:52

Does anybody have a recommendation/referral code they could share with me?

MissMogs · 28/09/2025 18:30

Weight still bouncing around. Had a whoosh and then up a kg in 24hrs! I still get disheartened by it even when I can see the line on Shotsy bouncing but overall trending down!
Size 18 new jeans I bought a few weeks ago seemed more comfortable today, and I got my first “have you lost weight?” comment! My denim jacket from 5 years ago also now fits!

I havent yet but once Im done with the 7.5 jabs I have I will be. For same reason I simply cant afford it.

Puffalicious · 29/09/2025 11:57

Morning,

Weigh & jab day. Happy to report a 1lb loss, but it's still SO slow. 13lbs to go & it's an expensive slog!

SW 13st 4lbs
CW 11st 9lbs
GW 10st 10lbs (Healthy BMI)

NSV is that a colleague told another colleague that I was 'glowing'. I can only imagine I'm a bit happier being able to get into all my old work clothes?!

Another NSV I do think I'm taking care of my skin on my body better, perhaps because I don't want to rush to cover it up? I'm moisturising every day, & I see such a difference as I have a tendency to be dry. Always take good care of face/ neck/ hair, so body just catching up!

Bloozie · 29/09/2025 12:19

Weigh and jab day. I am on 3.75mg and was toying with increasing to 5mg as I am feeling a fair bit of hunger and can eat full portions again, but when I weighed myself I lost 3lb last week and that's fine. When weight loss slows too, or I can't ignore the hunger, I'll increase.

Those of you experiencing hunger - does it come and go? Like right now I'm hungry, but I won't stay this way until I eat my evening meal, like I would have done pre-mounjaro. It's like the hunger signals give up if I ignore them. I wake up hungry but 20 minutes into my day, the hunger is gone. It's weird.

Yes, I get this too. The hunger can vanish without my having gotten around to eating.

It's quite dangerous really as it's very easy on busy work days to just never get around to eating until my evening meal. I've never eaten breakfast so already have to get my calories in across two meals. I've put a bowl of fruit and some nuts on my desk so I can always get something in the moment of hunger if it isn't convenient to go and make lunch yet.

Hi All,
So it’s jab day for me today and after upping to 3.75 I have 2 lbs off this week.

I would like to ask how is everyone feeling ? I am beginning to notice “things” like …..
I love jab day I am so grateful for the weight loss I actually love it.
I am calorie obsessed and vowed to take a week off and just eating healthily and normally listening to my body and I couldn’t not even one day.
I weigh first thing everyday .
I panic at the thought of stopping. Been having a few health issues and it may mean stopping and I genuinely feel terrified to have to go back to how things were.
I feel hormonal , emotional , low mood. I tell myself it’s worth it.
I do have some physical health issues that have arisen and I’m convincing myself they cannot be jab related . They could be 😬.
I am almost at a comfortable weight in my clothes and in myself and almost reached my initial goal but reading up on my bmi which says I need to lose at least another 2 stone to get into a healthy bmi I feel that’s now what I am heading for even though deep down I know I will look awful. I keep telling myself it will be a cushion for any weight gain. 😩
My dh is concerned as I do look gaunt already.
He says I am addicted . So I’ve taken stock and I definitely have some unhealthy feelings regarding the jab and me.
Am I alone? Am I going bonkers ?
I do feel for me it’s not a means to an end but a lifetime thing as it’s cured my debilitating ibs-d . So going back to living with that would be hell. I just need it to be a healthy relationship . I don’t have anyone I can unload this to and I hope you don’t mind . I just thought if I’m feeling it maybe I am not the only one . 😔

Some of your thoughts and behaviours are concerning and maybe slipping into disordered thinking. Would you feel comfortable talking to your GP about it? I had some health symptoms the other week that made me worry that I'd need to come off mounjaro because it's preventing me from absorbing vital things. I asked my GP and she was like, no, you could consider a week on/week off if the injection is causing absorption problems. (It wasn't - bloods all normal).

Many of your fears maybe unfounded.

FoxRedPuppy · 29/09/2025 19:27

I'm back from my African adventure! And missed a week of jab and managed to stay exactly the same weight!

I had ordered a 7.5mg, but decided to jab 5mg as had missed a week. Had some nausea yesterday so probably right decision. Still hungrier than I was at beginning, but seems manageable.
