Happy 1st birthday to us all - somewhere in this month we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

the amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+

in a year or for some 11-11.5mths - I was middle of August - we have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

some are at goal - and working out how to maintain

some nearing it

some still have weight they want to lose

Some have stopped for cost / various reasons and blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

but ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

maybe if brave - post your before and after pics to see how far we have come in a year

only 2 words to say 😂😂😂

I’m trying to think how chewy constipation sweets that help with poo and going to the toilet gets flagged, I wonder if it’s the word order…

See my latest comments 🤣🤣🤣

Azuresky68 · 22/08/2025 14:15

I am thinking of ordering 1 more 10 mg pen from another supplier. Anyone been lucky enough to get one from somewhere other than Oushk? If you can tell me this plus the price and what you had to do that would be wonderful 🙏

@Slimhopeswow...so I am an inch shorter than you but aiming for 8 st 6/7 pounds...not far now. I can't imagine going down to 8 stone though. Last time I was 7 st 12 pounds was when I was 21....even then I was going to a Slimming Club. It's different for everyone isn't it.. I can't remember your age but I am 69 now...not sure if age is relevant. I have resigned myself to having baggy arms, thighs and tummy but feel great about how I look when dressed 😊

I’m 54 and very, very wrinkly upper arms and upper thighs and wobbly saggy tummy from several stones lost but I’m ok with it all now as I look so much better dressed and even shirt and t shirts look good. I avoid sleeveless things and it’s only once a year in swimwear so I’m fine with that.
we all carry weight differently and have different builds though , I don’t look ‘too’ thin at this size and definitely still thicker round the waist. My friend is your height and 7st but she’s always had a very small frame, small wrists etc so she looks fine at that but I’d look u well at anything close to that. Don’t know if 8stones will be sustainable in the long term but if I can avoid going over around 8 1/2 I’d be happy with that and it’s still a good half a stone away from an overweight BMI.
actually I did see a lot of articles saying bmi 25-27 is healthier when we’re older , over 65 .

poppym12 · 22/08/2025 14:35

I'm definitely going to need to continue tracking calories and weighing regularly @Slimhopes. I'm just scared that the hunger will suddenly come back and I'll have no off switch again. I'd been slim my whole life and yet it just crept up on me over the last few years and I was suddenly huge. I still feel huge but the scales are saying I'm not.

I'll have to focus on the fact that I really don't want to be obese again and to have wasted ££££ by getting to a healthy weight. I'm not there yet as BMI is still 25.6 but if I lose much more, I'll have no clothes at all.

Yes will have to channel a lot of feelings around the hunger will pass and trying to have control over it. I’ve had to change everything last item of clothing and shoes that I owned as they all became too big. Down a shoe size also. Literally can’t afford to put weight back on as I can’t buy all larger sizes again 😳 we’ll support each other through the next stages. Protein and distraction from food !!!

Hi all,
still here, still not seeing the scale move so appear to be maintaining on 12.5mg (well 13.75mg as I self adjusted). I had my first maintenance appointment scheduled with Oushk today and was hoping to discuss but they didn’t show up. I’m very pissed off. I’d have understood if they cancelled it -I know they’re busy - but to just not bother is out of order. I have whatsapped them with screenshots so will see what they come up with.,I booked this months ago as I knew I’d be off work. Grrrr!

How are you all approaching life without Mounjaro? Or are you staying on it indefinitely?

I can't afford to do that so will be using the 3 pens I have to (hopefully) lose another few pounds then micro dose in some way with what I have left until it runs out.

I'm feeling very apprehensive about it.

I'm off it completely and have been for 2 months now. I'm managing to maintain my loss. Fluctuating up and down by 3-4lbs but that's totally normal for me anyway. Not gonna lie it's harder than being on the mj but I actually learnt a lot about a normal portion of food and that's carried through to maintenance.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/08/2025 15:43

I’m not planning to be on it any longer than December and I refuse to be scared to any great extent about going it alone after that. I think a certain amount of worry about it is normal but as far as I’m concerned I’ve got this and I’ll take everyday as it comes for the rest of my life. Because that’s what it will always be - away if life day in and day out forever and I’m excited about taking on the challenge.

Sorry missed loads of posts! Hope everyone is doing okay. Busy in our household. My sons gone off on holiday with his dad today (dd didn’t want to go) so we’re off to Paris on Sunday! Something she’s always wanted to do
so she’s super excited!

WorriedRelative · 22/08/2025 16:29

Cloud rejected my order, haven't said why but they now have a banner saying they are only accepting orders from existing customers.

Curate want a verification call so fingers crossed that one will go through.

My order from oushk should have arrived today but hasn't. First time I have ever had an issue with them and Royal Mail.

20bloodypounds · 22/08/2025 16:52

You can tell that @Blondeshavemorefun is back from holiday because this thread is racing along. Of course aided by all the MJ price and availability goings-on!

@Timetochange24 I'm the same, not one single person knows. I have a place deep in my wardrobe, underneath my winter jackets where there are a couple of storage boxes. In one, along with a lot of assorted crap, is a fleece wrapped bundle that contains my fleece wrapped pens, nestled in with 2 or 3 freezer ice packs. I change the ice packs every few days and even in the hottest weather they have always remained cold. Basically it's what we do in our campervan when we're somewhere hot with no electricity and we want cold cheese and butter!

As soon as I heard about the price increases I ordered 2 x 2.5mg from Oushk. They've been dispatched and arrive tomorrow. On maintenance, I'm back down to 2.5mg weekly, and still have a 5mg pen to use up. I'll spread out the 2.5mg doses and that should get me to Christmas. Then I'll seehow I feel.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/08/2025 17:02

@Blondeshavemorefunits a bit complicated but she hasn’t been there since the start of the year so it wasn’t a surprise she wouldn’t go.

Congratulations on not gaining holiday weight @Blondeshavemorefun & well done on losing this week @Azuresky68 .
My anniversary date is also the 24th August.

Today I just took my final dose. Going to see how I manage without it. I reached my goal in April, have been maintaining & reducing doses since then, I did get to 3lbs less than where I am now, I got to 8st 8lbs, I’m now 8st 11lbs, but so long as I’m under 9st then I’ve decided I’m happy. I’m a size 10-12, which I’m also very content with. So I’ve lost just over 5st in the last 12 months, I have to remind myself just how far I’ve come.
I definitely have noticed since I’ve been on 5mg that my appetite is more, & that foods I’d previously gone off, now I like again.
I’m anxious thinking about stopping it, but I guess I won’t know how I am without it unless I try. It does feel a bit scary though!
