Happy 1st birthday to us all - somewhere in this month we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

the amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+

in a year or for some 11-11.5mths - I was middle of August - we have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

some are at goal - and working out how to maintain

some nearing it

some still have weight they want to lose

Some have stopped for cost / various reasons and blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

but ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

maybe if brave - post your before and after pics to see how far we have come in a year

Looking at my Apple Watch I average a total of 1500 calories some days and as low as 1200 on others at the moment. No idea how accurate it is, but that feels so low! I am very inactive due to my hip, I need to find ways to up it sat down and moving differently. I’ve emailed the local pool to ask if I can walk in the pool during the general adult swim non-lane session. Not sure how my hip will manage it, but it’s worth a try.

Well @20bloodypoundsthat sounds delicious, smoked salmon, quick pickled red onions, beetroot and grated carrot would be delicious on rye 😋😋😋😋

And also... it means you have to stop, and eat slowly. And just focus on the food you are eating, in that moment - every delicious sensation.

SO NOT a bappy, flappy, floppy, sloppy 2 pieces of carb sandwiching a small amount of factory produced protein, a gloopy UPFsauce and a small shred of green-stuff.

FurForksSake · 19/08/2025 22:47

I work with some lovely young women, early twenties. And they are so good at bringing their food, Greek yoghurt berries and a sprinkle of granola (separate), fruit for mid morning, leftovers or bagel thins or salads at lunch and a mid afternoon something. I imagine if I didn’t have two kids I was trying to get out the door it would be easier! I’m glad I’m not at work at the moment because I’m so disorganised!

20bloodypounds · 19/08/2025 22:26

They will all be accurate on height and weight, but the 'how active are you' question doesn't really have any standards.

I might think I'm moderately active because I stood up to switch the TV off, you might think you are inactive because you haven't jogged 5 miles before breakfast

Tho I put the least active one on all of them as I don’t do a lot

so surely they wouid all be the same ?

and well done for squeezing tho car gap

Just checked Pharmacy2U and all pens available..£20 off for returning customers. I ordered my first pen from them. Filled in form and no request for photos or any other evidence!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/08/2025 00:13

Prob is if we buy say 3 now at aug price / we still have to buy at sept/oct price or risk going back to 2.5 surely

I ordered on Saturday and had to do photo of my ID and full length of me! It still hasn't been reviewed however...

Azuresky68 · 20/08/2025 08:57

Oh my goodness...my FB feed is full of adverts from MJ providers. I just wanted to order one pen and no idea which one to try! Pharmacy2U was around £175 for 10 mg. That included postage. Now showing as out of stock. Anyone else found better offers please?.
On Monji Superdrug is coming out cheapest at £162. Many are out of stock.
I always thought Oushk was on the pricey side but with the maintenance code it was quite s bargain.

Slimhopes · 20/08/2025 09:36

Morning everyone. Still adjusting to the mounjaro news but it’s made me clearer that I will titrate down to come off MJ whereas before I’d thought I probably would due to money but might have tried to stay on a low dose. Anyway, I’d got my usual pen at the end of the week from family chemist but see they’re out of stock now (saw a TikTok last night that they’ll get new stock inthis Friday but might be for regular customers). In the MJ panic last week, I bought a low dose bundle from Cloud pharmacy (7.5, 5 & 2.5) and it’s just been approved.(straight into credit card😵‍💫) They seemed to still have stock, I’ve not bought from them before and had to provide evidence of last 3 prescriptions and a photo from start of weight loss. That was a sobering look back😳
I see lots of people on TikTok who’ve come off MJ and seem to be equal amounts of those who’ve out on weight and those who haven’t. Some do admit to not tracking weight or food and so no surprise that they’ve gained really. Think I’m more inspired by our thread and those who’ve kept weight within half a stone while maintaining, that sounds manageable and hope I can do the same.

FurForksSake · 20/08/2025 10:57

Morning, yes I’m also seeing a mixed picture with people coming off. I feel a bit more confident that I’ll be able to do it, but I’m hoping I’ve got 6-9 months to really lock in on my diet and “exercise” before I come off. I will need to track forever i think because I’m a mindless eater.

sobering to look at early photos, but look how far you’ve come!

But they will know we have had 3 pens so haven't missed any jabs?

FurForksSake · 20/08/2025 12:12

I think most providers have said that they’ll take into account the extra pens bought so it should be fine. I’ve moved one of my oushk to October.

Azuresky68 · 20/08/2025 12:21

FurForksSake · 18/08/2025 22:50

I really want to get another 4lbs off and then will play about with calories for a couple of weeks I guess. I’m considering trying 1500 and then coming down to see where I land.

i haven’t been taking my supplements so wondering if that is having some impact. I’ve taken them today and started L-tyrosine(?) to see if that has an impact.

As I mentioned before I am the same as you. Stayed more or less same weight since February...well I got to my actual goal for daughter's wedding the went away for 3 weeks so went up about 6 pounds then down again by 3. Currently on 12.5 with 3 x 10 on order. People keep saying why bother over 4 pounds/you have lost enough/your body is telling you it's the weight you should be. I am actually at the top of healthy BMI right now.
With price increases i am wondering if i should just stay at 8 st 10 and forget about my last 4 pounds. What a dilemma!
How are you feeling about the pesky 4 pounds?

Azuresky68 · 20/08/2025 12:23

NSV I bought a lovely chambray denim jacket when my kids were little from Next outlet shop..I remember buying it, must be about 25 years ago at least. Got it on now and feeling so happy 😊 it looks the height of fashion 🤣

Ooops re bath salts 😱 Do they need a proof of date for photo? Still undecided what to do as I am truly stuck at 8 st 9/10..see my posts earlier today. So I have maintained since February but not at weight I wanted to be!

FurForksSake · 20/08/2025 20:24

I’ve been looking at my Apple Watch total calories and it’s so low. Today I’m up to 1200 calories total burnt. I’ve eaten 1000 calories ish (cottage cheese and pineapple, nectarine, fibre one, jacket potato with tuna and cheese with some cherry tomatoes and spring onions). So that would mean I hopefully lose 1/2 a pound this week?

I do definitely want to lose down to somewhere between 8st and 8st7, my tummy is still very jiggly. I was 8st9 this morning, so weight is very slowly moving forwards but I’ve been bouncing around this it feels like for ages. I’m not gutted at my current weight at all, but I also don’t feel done.

My hip is very cross that I’ve done nearly 2000 steps today, just trying to move around the house more. So I’m considering a hand bike to use for short periods just to get my exercise in and move towards 1500 total calories. I’m also using my resistance bands.

I they use an app theatre takes the pic there and then so can’t be one you have taken

@FurForksSake that sounds like a good calorie day. Sorry that you are suffering so badly with your hip. Have you got any planned interventions to hopefully improve it? I am seeing a back specialist tomorrow. I am taking paracetamol and codeine and need help with pain management as it isn't going away or getting better. I can walk and move around but today has been a bad day. I know exactly what you mean about weight ..I can't seem to get to where I want either.

Sounds complicated!

FurForksSake · 20/08/2025 21:08

@Azuresky68ive had two surgeries, work won’t let me return with my pain levels and instability so I’m hoping I can see my previous surgeon privately and he can operate. However, he does run a clinic privately, it’s tricky. My consultant has referred me but not heard from him yet.

I’ve run out of naproxen so managing on ibuprofen, or not! I put in a request a week ago so I’m a bit frustrated.

FurForksSake · 20/08/2025 21:09

@Azuresky68good luck with the specialist, are you likely to have surgery? I can absolutely sympathise as I also have a bad back!
