I noticed we were almost full (again!) so took the liberty of starting thread 5 now so I don’t get confused on nightshift and can’t find you all!

Weekly check in for me today!

SW 92.9 BMI 30
CW 73.7 BMI 23.8

1st Goal Weight 75kg met!
New Goal Weight 67.4kg (or depending on clothes size)

Loss this week 0.6kg, happy with that as I’ve had Covid and done hardly any exercise!

My total loss is now 19.2kg or 3 stones!!! Can’t actually believe it! 20% of me has gone!

Ive stuck with 3.75mg again this week, seems to be working well no side effects and while I have suppression I also am using my willpower more which I like!

I have two doses left in current pen and another 2 5mg ones in the fridge from before all the chaos! My supplier allow you to order every two weeks so I’d sometimes do that sometimes not - glad I did the last few times! For me though it was more about my BMI getting too low to have it prescribed than building a stash!

I might order one more before the price increases but I think especially seeing my numbers all written down like this I’m going to have to start seriously thinking about maintenance. I’ll probably go back down to 2.5mg and use the pens longer than recommended, not sure yet.

I need to pop into town today so I am going to try on more jeans in more shops in the hope of being a 12! I’ve been a 14/16 forever so wish me luck!

Hopefully this week I can get back on track with water intake and exercise, with being unwell it went out the window!

As always ladies lovely to hear how collectively we are pushing forward and making our health a priority! It’s been tough this week but we are tougher! Sending love to those that are struggling.

Onwards and downwards ✌️

@DidILeaveTheGasOn I'm planning to watch that today! I didn’t watch it at the time but I remember (prepares to show age!) was it celebrity fit camp or something with the guy from Pop Idol Rick Waller I think his name was? I remember him getting put through his paces and walking off saying he couldn’t be fucked 🙈

It’s amazing though how attitudes have changed and what was broadcast with no real pushback at the time.

HKG · 19/08/2025 11:19

@DidILeaveTheGasOn i watched it last night! I was obsessed with it at the time (shows my age and how long I’ve been struggling with my weight) and it was really uncomfortable viewing! I even had all the exercise DVDs from Jillian Michaels and did lose some weight that way but really, looking back on it now the methods and how they treated people were shocking! So irresponsible.

all except Dr H, he still came across well I thought.

I did the same, looking at who was starting at my starting weight and wondering if I looked like that. In my head i just took it as true that I did, it didn’t help my self esteem!

SutekhsEars · 19/08/2025 12:35

My new customer Numan order has been dispatched. Will another 5mg pen be enough? Should I keep the farmeci one on order? Decisions, decisions....!

Gingercar · 19/08/2025 15:49

I managed to speak to someone at Chemist4U today. Said I was a little concerned I’d not heard anything re the order. She said the clinicians have a backlog due to the huge amount of orders, but she expects they should get to my order (from the 14th) tomorrow or the next day. She said they’d probably want a photo of my last prescription (strange they didn’t ask for that when they asked for photos of me and id). She also said they had plenty of stock, so not to worry.

sorry, meant to tag @HKG

HKG · 19/08/2025 16:54

@Gingercar thanks for letting me know! I put my order in on 15th so hopefully not too long after you I’ll hear. Will have to cross that bridge when I come to it on the photos!

I panic-ordered the 7.5 when I’ve been on 5 for the last three pens. I get bad SE so slightly worried about it now but trying to get this weight off as fast as possible now!

ElsieJay · 19/08/2025 16:55

I ventured onto one of the other MJ threads, soon scuttled back to this happy bunch!
But I discovered ( apologies if this is widely known already ) that the Mouj website lists what pharmacies have stock of each of the pens, and whether or not they’re accepting new customers.
Lovely woodland and riverside walk this morning with DH , but the best bit was resisting a 99 ice cream cone from the van in the car park . 🤗

lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 19/08/2025 17:22

@Gingercar thanks for your update, I also ordered from chemist4U. I was just merrily being patient figuring they would have had a backlog. Nice to have an idea of timescales. I too was expecting them to want evidence of my last order when I placed the order, nice to know they have stock though. I only ordered there because they let you order two pens at a time and I wanted to get a spare pen. I don’t have a a stash in the fridge so a spare one would be nice.

SussexLass87 · 19/08/2025 17:33

Lovely catching up with all your news - hugs and lemsip to the poorly ones! Hope you're on the mend soon.

Congrats on all the losses as well.

I'm waiting on clinician approval but managed to order my next pen from Swift Dr by using the reorder email...their website is saying they're out of stock of MJ so I'm waiting for the cancellation email tbh.

You never know though eh?

Fingers crossed!

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 19/08/2025 17:38

Another cancelled order today. Went on a beauty box splurge to pacify myself. Got some good bargains! Not meant to be buying beauty products though - see previous posts re: rugs etc.

Have synced my Fitbit with Strava so I can use it for counting steps / mapping routes and don't need to tolerate the Fitbit app anymore. It's totally put me off exercising! Hopefully Strava will be better.

VashtaNerada · 19/08/2025 18:46

Caught a glimpse of myself in a full-length mirror at an event and instead of thinking “good god who is that troll?” I actually thought I looked quite nice! That has not happened to me in a long time…

tostaky · 19/08/2025 18:47

Thank you for all the good wishes - i am Feeling a bit better thanks to the antibiotics
im back home late tonight, ive decided i will weight myself (after a well deserved shower) then if it is a good reading, i will use that as my official weight, if it isnt, i’ll weight again tomorrow and i will use that one whatever it is!

sorry to hear about the “processing” pens… it is frustrating but im thinking that it doesnt matter when i’ll get them, what mattaers is they were still cheaper!
i received one 5mg from Pillsorted.
i have received a notification that my 5mg pen from Get a drip has been dispatched
my 2.5 mg pen from medino, has been paid and is still under review…
my bundle of three from farmeci didnt go through. (Thank god! I would have no money left for anything)

im debating whether to buy a 7.5mg pen on pay day (the 28th). I am still doing 2.5mg every 8 days so a 7.5mg would stretch a long time and be very cost efficient. I might even go back to 2.5mg every 10 days like i did at first (or 1.25mg every 5days). I just need to be more mindful about my eating and move myself more!
i still have 20kilos to lose 😭so i am in for the long haul…
i have read some scary stuff about mounjaro and eye health. It really makes me want to stay on the lowest dose possible… for the shortest time possible (which sounds contradictory i know!)

in other news, DS1 gets his GCSEs results in two days and then is off to reading festival.. i dont think i am ready for that level of anxiety!!!

tostaky · 19/08/2025 18:53

@VashtaNeradathat is so lovely to hear ! Well done! 🥰
@DidILeaveTheGasOn im considering getting a garmin watch to track my exercise… i wanted to buy it this month, but with all that mounjaro palaver, im skint! It will have to wait a bit!

ElsieJay · 19/08/2025 19:51

Good you’re on the mend, @tostaky, and fingers crossed for DS1’s exam results 🤞.
@DidILeaveTheGasOn - absolutely splurge on a beauty box, especially if it was a bargain. More money for rugs !

Had an e mail 6pm from Asda - my order ( twin pack of my usual 2.5, plus one 5 ) will be reviewed between 23rd and 28th Aug, with delivery expected 1-2 working days after that .
Eeeeekkkkk !!! 😱
DH and I go on holiday early hours of Tues 2nd September, so there won’t be anyone at home to sign for delivery.
I wasn’t panicking up until now ……😱😱

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 19/08/2025 20:10

'More money for rugs' 😂Love it!

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 19/08/2025 20:13

Gosh @ElsieJay nothing like keeping you on your toes! I expect they're overestimating so they can manage the influx of orders without getting complaints. I'm sure it'll arrive in time. Nice bit of background aaaargh though, don't we all need more of that!

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 19/08/2025 20:28

Has anyone tried Freja broths? I ordered the chicken ones and had one this evening, 65cals for 500ml and 16g of protein. I'd like to use it as the base for a lentil soup I think, I make a really nice beetroot, apple and lentil soup and I think adding this broth would really amp up the protein and flavour.

The amount of protein I'm getting per day has dropped, I think I was getting around 80g in the early days. More like 30-40g now. Anyone fancy a protein challenge? Try to get to 60g a day?

Seahorsesplendour · 19/08/2025 20:34

@DidILeaveTheGasOn loving the cows & definitely up for a rug filled get together 😅 glad to hear you managed to spare some money for beauty products too!! Even if it was shopping therapy!

@VashtaNerada amazing NSV!! 😊

I had good NSV today at work manager said you need a new uniform try this one on which I dutifully did and it fitted!!! Still an extra large but was in a 3xl before so I was thrilled!! And it was tight when I started MJ!!!

I’ve stayed optimistic and just asked for 2 so next time I need to drop down I can order 2 more fairly quickly hopefully another 3 sizes down!!!!

never had this much faith that I can do it!! Thank you MJ!!!

still hard to imagine!!!

just need to hope my 2 pens come!!

@ElsieJay ibe had asda ready before expected date a couple of times, pre all this panic but hopefully it’ll be ok for you!!

Gingercar · 19/08/2025 20:37

I don’t mind waiting for the bundle to arrive, I’ve 1.5 pens left, but I just don’t want them to keep me waiting and then not have stock/say no and it be too near to September to order anywhere else. And also so I can stop worrying about it and stop boring you all! It was much nicer when we all just chatted about losing! I have spent too long on those other boards to be healthy too!

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 19/08/2025 20:55

I ordered 2x extra 7.5 pens on Thursday 14th about 5pm (the day the news broke), one from get a drip pharmacy and the other one IQ doctor...my get a drip one was approved today, so hopefully will receive soon.
No update from IQ doctor (I had the email to upload my photos/evidence, which I did right after submitting the order).

Fingers crossed for everyone who is waiting to hear from various pharmacies.

ElsieJay · 19/08/2025 21:05

@DidILeaveTheGasOn , and everyone else who commented - the extra stress is definitely NOT welcome ! I am praying hoping against hope they are overestimating the timescales to manage our expectations 🤞🤞.
Ive just ordered one of the Freja broths- on offer from Tesco at £5.50 for 500ml, so not cheap but imagine it will be tasty, and the protein content is impressive.
Had fat free cottage cheese alongside my scrambled eggs at lunchtime to boost my daily intake -quite pleasant.

DBatteryBand · 19/08/2025 21:27

I am up for trying to increase my protein intake. I absolutely cannot tolerate shakes and all that, so I shall have to live on steak (sorry cows) and eggs. @ElsieJay I keep looking at cottage cheese in the supermarket but I get flashbacks to my mother trying to get me to eat it, aged 10, on a Ryvita with chopped up apple 😖and the Mounjaro ‘That’s Not Going In My Mouth’ portcullis descends. I have to go and look at the lettuces to restore my equilibrium.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 19/08/2025 21:28

I have an irrational ick with cottage cheese, the appearance and the texture, ugh. Would the curds melt if it was stirred into eggs on the stove?

That broth is superb, I'm really full. I wonder if things like protein coffee, protein broth and so on could really help when maintaining.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 19/08/2025 21:29

<goes off to google 'portcullis'>

DBatteryBand · 19/08/2025 21:30

Would the curds melt if it was stirred into eggs on the stove?

🤢

I need some mint tea.
