I noticed we were almost full (again!) so took the liberty of starting thread 5 now so I don’t get confused on nightshift and can’t find you all!

@Seahorsesplendour love the birkies NSV. Who knew we lost weight on our feet too!?

kiwiane · 12/08/2025 12:19

I’ve lost 1.5 stones in 3 months and moved to 5mg for the last pen; I’ve ordered the 7.5mg next mainly because my loss seems to have stalled some weeks. My clothes must have been tight as I’ve only just moved down a size!

FlorenceNightshade · 12/08/2025 12:25

13th Tuesday Check-In for me today!

SW 92.9kg BMI 30
CW 74.3kg BMI 24
GW 75kg MET!!!!

Loss this week 0.7kg. Happy with that as had a weekend away for Oasis in Edinburgh and enjoyed myself without going too crazy! Did very little proper exercise just my usual walks so will try and increase that this week.

New GW 67.4kg or maybe more, will judge it by clothes now. My ideal weight range is 57.4kg - 77.4 kg so I went for the middle.

So in 13 weeks I’ve lost 18.6kg, 41lbs or 20% body weight! This was my second week at 3.75mg as I had SE at 5mg. Will be sticking with that dose for now. I’ve ordered another pen because my BMI is getting low for future prescriptions. I think that will give me 3 full 5mg pens after this one.

Weird that I’m now starting to think maintenance! Have started reading the threads on it and trying to decide what approach might suit me best. Still got a way to go and I’m happy to stay on MJ long term if need be.

As always girlies I’m so inspired by our individual stories and how even at times in really shitty circumstances we are prioritising our health and making real progress to meet our own goals! Our future selves will thank us and our previous selves are in awe of how well we’ve done!

Onwards and Downwards ✌️

I’m feeling a bit meh today. Had my first sts despite a good week eating wise. I know it’s just a pause, I actually wonder if it’s the weather, I work outside and feel hot and bloated, so I might just weigh again after a couple of days drinking more. But it’s coincided with a week when I’m struggling with my mum and feeling a bit down about the slow progress of the house sale, so I think it’s not helping!

I jabbed on Sunday evening and today I feel like death! Just ate some salad and chicken for lunch and feel super nauseous. 🤮

GherkinsOnToast · 12/08/2025 10:08

nothing like a pair of primark denim shorts to kill your mojo and thoughts that you are getting smaller! I am a size 16, baggy 16 in almost all my clothing including new Levis. I picked up a pair of shorts in primark yesterday and brought them home... They don't do up - by 4 inches! I may have sworn, cried and thrown them. I checked the size - yup 16, the tiny amount of confidence I was gaining back is shot and now I have to return them!

Edited

Please don’t be dishearted, primark sizing is totally off! I think most shops are! Bastards x

FlorenceNightshade · 12/08/2025 16:10

@Gingercar i know it’s easy for others to say but better to stay the same than have gained isn’t it?! I think the weather and working outdoors will be bound to affect things so upping your water def sounds sensible! Hopefully this week brings better news on the house front and I hope you have a good support system for you and your mum you can lean on.

@GherkinsOnToast i feel your pain! Nearly 3 stone down and still not reliably lost a jeans size! It’s starting to drive me mad - I don’t want to have to keep trying on new ones I just want to trust I'm a smaller size! I’m sure I read somewhere that if you compare jeans from 10 years ago to today the sizing is way off no wonder we are all fed up!

Well done @FlorenceNightshade for knocking all your goals out the park!! 🥳🥳🥳 You should be proud of yourself! How are you feeling now at maintenance? Do you plan on staying on mj long term? My bmi is only just just into the healthy range, so I’m now working towards goal but I’ve come right back down to 2.5mg and going to take it slow. Now im here it’s body shape I need to work on more for me than the number if that makes sense? I wish I was a natural gym bunny 😆. This is still a struggle that mj can’t magically fix but I need to see train myself to be consistent with it some how.

BerfyTigot · 12/08/2025 17:50

Oh @Gingercar it sounds like you've got a lot of stressful things on at the moment. It's odd isn't it, that seeing a number on the scales can influence our feelings and often the whole day. Why do we do this to ourselves?

FlorenceNightshade · 12/08/2025 18:05

@dc82 I’m planning to stick to 3.75mg until I am happy with my size/shape then look at titrating down. I’m thinking maybe micro dosing eventually but not sure. I think I still have a ways to go, maybe as much as another 7kg but I’m definitely more focused on how I feel in clothes than anything else. I like how you phrased it - working on body shape more than a number!

I really struggle with motivation to do more exercise sometimes. I try and walk the dog everyday (too hot for her today!) then on top of that try and cycle and run at least once with YouTube weights once or twice too! Last week I only managed the walking as I was on annual leave and had other priorities. I try and think of them as appointments in my calendar that can’t be moved but it doesn’t always happen.

Long term I’m going to have to be more consistent with it as I do genuinely feel better the more I exercise. Any body else got any tips for making habits stick? It’s tough working shifts because I can’t commit to the same days and times every week.

Evening all. Glad to say I managed to avoid piling on weight last week on hols and gained 2lbs, which wasn't too bad.

I've lost a lb already since returning on Sunday but still haven't dared to go above 3mg.

Im considering buying another 5mg pen to see me through September despite saying the current pen would be the last one. I think I've become a bit addicted to the thrill of losing weight!

FlorenceNightshade · 12/08/2025 21:31

Are you at your goal @Sallycinnamum or was it side effects (or something else) that had you deciding to stop? Are you planning to stop kinda cold turkey or something gradual? I’m looking for advice!

OP posts:
Sallycinnamum · 12/08/2025 22:12

@FlorenceNightshade I am at goal. I initially wanted to get to 10.7lbs and I'm now 9.13lbs.

Tbh, I don't think I'll lose much more but what I don't want to do is go cold turkey. Ideally I'd like to titrate down slowly over the next few months and then come off it altogether.

I know many intend to stay on it for life but its just not something I'm comfortable with..well at the moment anyway.

Problem is I think Mounjaro is helping with the insulin resistance (Pcos related) so bit worried its all going to go haywire when I stop.

MyScaredCat · 13/08/2025 07:57

Congratulations to everyone hitting their goals already! Who’d have thought back in May it would have been possible so quickly?! I was just so so scared ti start!

weigh in day here and im 2.5 down, taking it to 37lbs in 15 weeks, average 2.5 a week which is wonderful. About a stone to go I think and I’ll be done. Just about to open my 4th, and possibly last, pen and jab.

my eating the last month hasn’t been good though. Holidays and summer relaxing haven’t been the most healthy and my aim now is to get back to how I was, protein has not been prioritised lately and I want to address that

PinkScot · 13/08/2025 08:53

Congratulations to all! I’m weigh in day today and I’ve lost half a pound. I’m not disappointed though for two reasons, one I lost three last week and two I thought I was going to say the same so a small loss was a nice surprise! So far touch wood I haven’t had a zero week and I’ve lost 28.5 pounds over 14 weeks. My 7.5 mg is doing well and I’ve ordered another 7.5 pen to continue with. I’ve got another stone and a bit to go to goal so probably will be another couple of months as I know it will slow down. So great to see everyone’s progress on here and heartening to see people actually reaching goal weights as it gives me hope! I’m doing exercise now as well, dog walking every day and exercise bike every other day, roughly, when I feel up to it with tiredness. Onwards and downwards 👇😝😝😝

Gingercar · 13/08/2025 09:23

Well after drinking a lot I water yesterday the scales are dithering between sts and a lb off so I’m grabbing the lb! I forgot to jab last night so we did it this morning. It’s only the second jab from this pen and it wouldn’t work! Thankfully my practical mechanic husband managed to straighten something in the pen without losing the liquid and we could use it.

I've just seen this on FB - I don't know how true it is because it's from a group with a stunning lack of critical thinking skills. It might give us hope though!

that makes a lot of sense! It’s more important that the internal fat is dealt with first, I was told a few years ago I had a fatty liver which worried me and now I have lost over 10cm to my waist I am hoping that the jab is sorting the inside first! To be fair I can happily say I’ve gone from a size 18-16 on the bottom half and 16-14 on the top which is great because I never had the shoulder width for a 16! My loss is slow and steady maybe 3lb a week so I will be here for the long haul as have about another 2 stone to lose. But congratulations to those at or past target, you must all feel fantastic!

I clearly mean 3lb a month 🤦🏽‍♀️

Gingercar · 13/08/2025 10:11

I was just thinking that didn’t sound slow to me!
There are a few of us here for the long haul.

FlorenceNightshade · 13/08/2025 11:12

@Sallycinnamum i understand that stopping must feel daunting if you’re noticing other health benefits too. That’s why I’m kinda stockpiling now incase stopping doesn’t work out ( I don’t have other health problems). I don’t really want to use it for life so hoping slow micro dosing will work for me.

Good for you @PinkScot keeping up the exercise! I’m struggling with motivation please share yours 🤣

@SutekhsEars thanks for sharing! Very interesting and I like the sound of “whoa moments”!

Well the choice of going for a walk in the park or playing monopoly with my family has motivated me to go for a walk! I’m not a horrible mum I’ve spent all day with them playing crazy golf, out for lunch and taken them to the cinema, train rides etc. I just hate monopoly.

walk will help off set cinema snacks.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 13/08/2025 20:16

Greetings from Hayfever Towers! Coming to you live from My Living Room wearing refrigerated eye masks to try to stop my eyes from being itchy little bastards.
How many calories do sneezes burn? I must have burnt a shit ton. Ugh. Anyone want my nose?

Congratulations to those reaching goal and making plans to maintain or tweak slightly, I'm inspired and reassured in equal measure - that little voice at the back of my mind that worries the weight will never come off is opening and closing its mouth with no sound coming out. In your face, anxiety. It is possible and entirely achievable! Well done to our May crew!

lissie123 · 13/08/2025 20:50

Reading through this thread reminds me that everyone’s weight loss journey is so very different. I’d be well to keep that in mind every time I step on the scales!! Weight loss is crawling slowly downwards but honestly I now think it’s time to bring out the big guns and go up a dose. I’m going to order 7.5mg pen for next week because I’m starting to flounder and forget that I’m actually supposed to be losing weight not just dithering about and can eat everything in larger portions and get away with it.
