Ahhh so I got my letter in the post today. All clear! Honestly I felt jittery and anxious for about 2 hours afterwards as I calmed down. So, that’s that worry done. After about 3 months of one thing after the other either with my mum, me or my kids, all seemed ok which is great but I almost feel a bit lost which is weird.

thank you the thoughts, they really were appreciated.

Fantastic, I'm so happy for you. One less thing to worry about going into the summer!

@MJalltheway I think you should take the stats with a pinch of salt. They aren't accurate but can be used as a guide. They will adjust depending on how hydrated you are etc...
Mine still says my subcutaneous fat is high, maybe it is but at a BMI of 22 I have no desire to lose any more. I'm quite tempted to get a DEXA scan, but then does it really matter??

Jab day tomorrow. I need to decide whether to stick to 2.5 or up to 3.75. I will probably go 3.75.

whyamisuddenlygettingolder · 20/07/2025 09:26

Has anyone with Oushk seen a recent code? I’ve never bought a pen with less than a £15 discount, usually £18 or £20, from a newsletter or email. But I can’t find anything other than £10 on the website - I’m wondering if they’re stopping doing the more generous ones? And annoyed if so!

PenelopePerseveres · 20/07/2025 09:47

@whyamisuddenlygettingolder no I haven’t seen anything other than the recent apology code which has expired now. Maybe they’ve taken a hit on sales after their recent non compliance situation.

BreezyPeer · 20/07/2025 09:59

I'm really interested in where we are all aiming in terms of weight, bmi and dress sizes.

I've lost nearly 4 stone and to get to a bmi of 22.5 I need to lose another 1.5 st
I have bought 3 pairs of size 12 trousers for my recent holiday and several size 10 tops. Before I started this journey I would have loved to be this size! I do agree there is some vanity sizing as I was about 2 stone lighter ( and in my very early 20s😀) when I last fitted in these sizes.
I'm only 1.5 lb off a healthy weight now and that is a great interim target for me. (I know other people will have different targets.)
I am aiming to lose the last 21lbs but in a slower time frame. 1lb a week up to Christmas. Then to maintain for 2026 while weaning down the doses with a view to being off it totally by 2027. But . . . if this journey has taught me anything its that I have no idea what is going to happen 🙃

Morning all - jab day for me.

Maintenance stats:
Jab#29 • wk 9 maintenance • 2nd 3.33mg
SW 79.6kg • GW 62.4kg • CW 59.4kg
BMI 21.7 • Body fat 30.2% • visceral fat 5
Gain this week 0.6kg (happy with the gain).

Have included body fat vs visceral to show the Renpho scales can show high bf but low visceral, even at a healthy bmi. I stand by my theory that I naturally hold a lot of fat in my hips and thighs so my body fat is always going to skew high. My collar bones and shoulders are sharper than ever!

Stuck to 3.33mg dose today (40 clicks on a 5mg pen) and was able to use a 5th pen needle as I hadn’t used up all the clicks yet. So now there’s a whole spare dose left in the pen (likely 0.8ml), will need a syringe, so I think I will risk a 6th dose next week.

From a maintenance pov I found there was still quite a bit of suppression on the 3.33mg. Still not so hungry in the mornings early on in the week. And still getting easily full on my packed lunch (sticking to similar portion sizes as when in deficit). A lot of the sugar craving gone this week, so that could have been down to illness, hormones, or that fact that I was losing too much the week before and my body was craving calorie dense food. I have had two bowls of ice-cream this week, but was craving fresh berries with it - hoping the fibre in the fruit helps offset the sugar intake.

Dry, tickly throat has gone. But still kept to a more ‘functional’ PT session yesterday rather than going heavy - lots of core, lunges, even a 20kg barbell shoulder press (felt like such a weakling, especially when PT said that was DS’ warm up weight). So hopefully next week I can attempt heavier deadlifts.

Last one I saw was a payday discount. Maybe they’ll do another one this week?

DGonMJ · 20/07/2025 10:19

@BreezyPeer I’m currently a 10 on the bottom, between 8-10 on top. And there was that dress I bought the other week where the shop only had a 6 and 10, and the 10 was too big.
Not sure how I feel about being a size 8, I’ve never been this size (was a 10 at 18yo) so it’s quite surreal. Am assuming an 8 now is equivalent to a size 10 from 30 years ago.

DGonMJ · 20/07/2025 10:34

Posting my table that I’ve been tracking weeks, pen number, doses, weights etc in case it’s useful for those looking ahead to maintenance

Jins · 20/07/2025 10:38

I don’t buy enough clothes to know what size I am in ready made so I’ve checked my measurements against M&S size chart.
Bust - 12
Waist - 16
Hip - 6

In Next
Bust - 12
Waist - 18
Hip - 4

I’d like to reach the point where my top half is closer to my bottom half. That may not happen. It’s always been hard to buy clothes that fit and flatter with trousers being the very worst.

BreezyPeer · 20/07/2025 10:54

@DGonMJ I love a spreadsheet! That one is epic! Thank you, that is really helpful. I use the Shotsy App which gives similar information but not all on the same page

BreezyPeer · 20/07/2025 10:55

@Jins what a skill to be able to make your own clothes! X

sociallydistained · 20/07/2025 11:11

I've just weighed myself finally after not weighing for almost a month and I'm exactly the same 🙈 now, I've been on a holiday and had a friend back where we've eaten out etc and I've just taken a step back from caring for a bit. But cravings for chocolate etc have all been back. Have been on 12.5 for one month and it's disappointing to see I've only lost less than 2lb since being on that pen, considering the cost... but I'm also accepting that usually going on a holiday and saying f it to tracking etc I'd probably have gained 7lb at least by now so I'm not TOO annoyed.

I did 15 for my 5th dose of that pen and I have a 15 pen to start so let's hope this is really the dose I'm going to see great things happening on 😂🙈 I'm a little worried tbh but also I'm going to start this week back to tracking and doing my 10k steps a day and other exercise and hopefully I can go into August losing consistently again 🤞🏻

sociallydistained · 20/07/2025 11:12

That meant to say my friend who lives abroad has been back for a week staying with me so we've been having a lot of treats etc and I've not done any exercise (which I usually do) so those factors have been at play!

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 20/07/2025 11:23

@Jins your measurements are really all over, very lucky you can make your own clothes. Just wondering, does your GP have any opinions about this difference? I saw a slim woman on social media who thought she was apple shaped, but she actually had a watermelon sized (benign) cyst.

Polkadotdash · 20/07/2025 11:27

@millenialmolly i lost all interest in food on 10mg. It’s really not a nice place to be. I always thought it would be great to have zero interest in eating, but it’s actually miserable. And like you say, it’s not sustainable. Hope the lower dose goes easier on you.

discov · 20/07/2025 11:30

@BreezyPeer one thing I have learnt from this thread is that goals are so personal. I know there’s many people who want to hit a healthy BMI, and others who want to get in the middle range, or some who even a healthy BMI would make them look too thin.

Ive never been slim in my whole adult life. I packed on weight as a pre-teen and was maybe a size 12/14 from that point until I gained a lot in my late teens/early twenties. I’ve yo-yoed up and down for years so it’s very strange now to be 9st! I’m 34 and have a small frame so can afford to lose a bit more.

I’ve moved my goal from 10st, to 9st and now down to 8st 7. I’m the same where before I started MJ I would have done anything to even hit 10st but when I got there I didn’t really look how I imagined. I think it’s hard when you’ve never been that size as an adult to know what to expect. I’m currently wearing size 8 jeans but definitely don’t think I look a size 8. I was a teen in the early noughties (trauma!!) and a size 8 was very skinny back then I think!

sorry I don’t really know what my point is here. I think your plan of taking it steady until Christmas is good!

Zempy · 20/07/2025 11:30

I am top heavy with huge GG boobs. So I am currently in size 12 tops and dresses. Bottom half is smaller. And it’s tricky.

A lot of my size 12 trousers now look shit on me, with loads of spare material around my non existent arse. Waist is also a bit too big. However, only brands like M&S fit me in size 10. I would like to aim for being size 12 top, but a reliable size 10 bottom half. To achieve that I need to lose about five to seven pounds I reckon. Then I’ll think about maintenance.

discov · 20/07/2025 11:34

I’ve not weighed for a while (after being a strict daily weigher!) because my diet hasn’t been great but trying to get back on track now. Thought I better weigh this morning since I’m doing my first 10mg tonight and I’m 9st 1.6! So I’ve actually lost 4.2lbs in the past 4 weeks. I am surprised as I was 100% convinced I wasn’t losing anything at all.

Jins · 20/07/2025 11:34

@HeidiNotSoHeavy I’ve been the same proportions at various sizes throughout my adult life so doubt there’s anything going on. My wide back, broad shoulders and ribcage deformity artificially increases bust size and waist to some extent. My hips and pelvis are tiny I definitely don’t have childbearing hips which was a bit of a concern to my midwife. I’m just a weird shape.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 20/07/2025 11:35

@DGonMJ same, my brain just doesn't comprehend size 8, never mind the occasional 6 - I bought a size 32EUR shorts yesterday (German brand that fits larger, but still). All I wanted to be was a comfortable size 10 or EUR 36 - that was what I was wearing 20 years ago when I was at my happy weight.

CW 57.1 kilos. 57!! That was my dream 'no way I'll ever get there, don't be silly' weight and here it is. Bmi 20.5. Body fat 20%. Honestly can't believe it.
Will see how August goes, I'm sure I'll put some on after the hernia surgery, when I can't do sports for a few weeks. But there's a buffer now.

I started at BMI 30.3 in December, probably a size 14, I didn't measure but this is the Next size dress I bought for my granny's funeral.

Originally I wanted to get to a healthy BMI, about 9st 8 and then 9st 4 as recent years that felt like a good weight given I'd struggled to get to my usual target of 8st 12. It was so straightforward though and I hit healthy around the end of March, 9st 4 a couple of weeks later, 8st 12 at the beginning of May so set it to a previous previous target of 8st 7 which I achieved around the end of May and called target. I quite like the idea of getting to 8st 4 as that was a weight I was in my early 20s but for now I don't want to go below 8st 4 (so far lowest has been 8st 5) and I don't want to go above 8st 8. I was 8st 6.2 this morning.

I went up to 5mg but have been maintaining on 2.5 since the end of May. I'm tempted to go up slightly to lose a couple of pounds ahead of holiday and for the first time I won't have on holiday so will be leaving it around 10 days between jabs, another reason to have a bit more these next two jabs.

Clothes wise I fit into all my size 8 clothes I owned before lockdown (when I was around 8st 12) and my Topshop jeans are a little loose. I had to buy a new suit recently and ended up with a size 6 Next one.

According to Next dress size
Bust: 10
Waist: 4-6 (I'm bigger than 4 but smaller than 6, so does that mean it should be 6?)
Hips: 6-8

M&S dress size
Bust: 8-10
Waist: 6-8
Hips: 6-8

I've never had small hips so this is wonderful, my thighs and arms are still large, but I think a lot of excess skin so unlikely to go down...

Also renpho scales still say my subcutaneous fat is too high, ignore ignore ignore!

My goal weight is 70kg, 11 stone or thereabouts. That'll put me at BMI 22.5. I'm an hourglass shape, massive boobs (34GG at the moment), small waist and childbearing hips (helpful in actual childbearing as had 3 v easy labours!). My waist has now re-emerged from the layers of fat it was hiding under!

Because I'm tall and generally large build anyway, boobs and hips have never let me get below a size 14 even when I weighed less than 70kg so I'm expecting to stay a size 14 but with roomier clothes. my DD is almost as tall as me and a size 6 and that's really really tiny on a tall woman.
What i'd really love is a breast reduction and I'm considering doing that once I've reached and maintained my goal weight for at least a year. I've done enough years with these literal weights hanging off me, I'd really like to be free of them!

PenelopePerseveres · 20/07/2025 14:41

I find everyone's size and shape really interesting.

I've just checked and the last bra I bought before starting MJ (wearing it today actually!) is a 36E, it is now too big and I am not filling the cups!

I measured my waist this week, it has been months since I did it, reduced from 39.5" to 36" ..... my hips 😭45". I am like a 🍐on steriods.

I'm not sure that that a size 12-14 at my height will be in a healthy BMI range. 12 stone = BMI 26.3. Despite that I feel quite sure that a size 12 is where I would like to be.

I absolutely share your wish for a breast reduction - even when I’ve been very slim in the past, I’ve always had G cup boobs at a minimum, and I’m so done with it. Literally my whole adult life I’ve had a bad back because of them. And my attempts to breast feed were traumatic and crap, so I can’t even say ‘well they’ve done their job!’ I’d LOVE to be a C/D/even DD.
