We will be the outliers @PenelopePerseveres 💪
I listed loads of things on Vinted yesterday and have sold half of them already so off to the post office with a big pile of parcels later.

My very small loss last week seems to have been a blip because I weighed this morning and am already a kg down from Friday's weight so I think I must have weighed heavy on that day for some reason. AND my metabolic age on my scales is now 52 - only one more year to go to reach my actual age!
Ive got a coaching call with Voy tomorrow so I'll be asking about maintenance options then. I'm still a few months away from that stage but good to know what the options are.

BreezyPeer · 05/08/2025 08:15

I really need us to be outliers! I have sold/ charity shopped nearly my entire wardrobe! I hadn't done any real intentional clothes shopping in years. Just buying anything that fitted in a supermarket or on vinted.

With MJ weight-loss and getting my colours done I want a much more intentional style from now on.
I am now a healthy weight ( just) with about 1.5 st to go to goal. I am hoping to buy knitwear in my new colours as that can be a bit looser and stick to cheap neutrals for tops until I get to goal.
In so many ways I cannot afford to put this weight back on!!

Jins · 05/08/2025 08:55

Morning all!

Day 5 so technically a half dose jab is due. Still have loads of suppression so I’ll decide later. I don’t really like faffing around with meds like I am doing but it seems to have got me over the hump of side effects.

Great day of sorting and a couple of bags to go to the charity shop but not enough to make a difference to the feeling of clutter. My wardrobe looks pretty empty though which is a bonus as I can start to fill it again.

Some great news on losses and goal weights reached. What a bunch of superstars

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 05/08/2025 09:08

@BreezyPeer am also trying a more intentional wardrobe. Have been only buying 'summer' colours and it is so much easier if the entire wardrobe can mix and match. Plus you will have shoes and bags to go with everything, not cute shoes you bought because you loved them, but that won't actually go with any of your clothes (or is that just me?)

BreezyPeer · 05/08/2025 09:17

@HeidiNotSoHeavy I agree! I have got rid of so many things I bought in a rush or when I just desperately needed clothes to wear to an event, leaving me with no clothes for my everyday life.
I am a sultry jewelled winter! Which came as a shock 😲. I am struggling with the colours so I have my colour fan on my hand bag to stop me making any more mistakes 🌈
I have also asked copilot for a capsule wardrobe checklist so going to run that past the items in my actual wardrobe at lunchtime xx

MJalltheway · 05/08/2025 09:57

That's a great idea @BreezyPeer to get a capsule wardrobe list. Luckily ive reached the age where I have no intention of wearing anything other than trainers or sandals ever again so shoes is one thing I don't care about! I have very painful feet with bunions so comfort trumps all. I also don't ever carry a bag any more either, so pockets (and decent sized ones) are an essential!

I did a 'gentle' yoga class yesterday and blimey my thighs are feeling it this morning! Lots of chair pose 🪑 I was shaking by the end! I've been encouraging my MIL to do a little bit of exercise, she's lost a lot of strength and mobility over the last couple of years after losing her husband. She was his carer at the end (he died at home with cancer) so spent a lot of time lifting him and now she's not doing that, it's shocking how quickly you lose that strength.

Jins · 05/08/2025 10:29

Shoes and bags are my downfall but I’ve definitely also reached the age where trainers and sandals are the only things I wear. I have managed to get rid of 4 pairs of sandals in the last few weeks and only bought one pair in the same period so that’s a win. Only yesterday DS2 asked why if Birkenstocks last forever I have four pairs. Philistine!

ChatGPT has me as a cool summer and I definitely can’t wear the strong colours I did when I was younger but I’m not giving up black! I’m trying to follow the colour chart I’ve got as much as possible though. A capsule wardrobe is a step too far though. I spent my whole career in clothes that go with everything else I owned and I’m done with that. I want to go a bit mad, explore styles and colours that I’ve never considered and grow old disgracefully.

BreezyPeer · 05/08/2025 11:19

@MJalltheway to some extent the capsule is just to ensure I actually have something to put on!
But I do love the idea of being coordinated in colours that actually suit me 🤣
@Jins I had a face to face consultation with House of Colour as a birthday treat. It was great, not just clothes colours but make up too which has already made a difference to me.
Growing old disgracefully is a life goal for me! 😀

Zempy · 05/08/2025 16:39

Yeah I just wear trainers, Birkenstocks or flat ankle boots. I am a Cool Winter. I have tried to just buy clothes in my palette and it does seem to make me look better put together. It’s little things like wearing a burgundy blazer, with burgundy Converse. It makes a difference.

BreezyPeer · 05/08/2025 21:19

@Zempy it's so interesting to hear from someone who is implementing the 'colour season'. I feel like everything is new, new body, new clothes! 😀
Looking forward to replacing my old, too big, hastily chosen to cover me up clothes with intentional purchases that actually fit and suit me.
Working on it but no where near there yet!

BreezyPeer · 06/08/2025 07:38

Morning losers! 🌄

MJalltheway · 06/08/2025 08:14

Morning all! The enormous Vinted pile is calling me again today. I've sold loads this week and yet the mountain doesn't seem to have shrunk at all. And I need to look through my wardrobe again and filter more things out of there too. Just seems endless!
My upper stomach is finally disappearing at long last. Every kilo lost now makes such a difference compared with the start of the process.

We're starting to get a lot of fruit off our trees now, overrun with plums and apples. I'll be making some plum chutney later. We're saving most of the apples to press for apple juice, we had a go at it a couple of years ago and it was delicious.

Grecianrainbow · 06/08/2025 10:59

Morning all, maintenance chat is making me hopeful but I’m still a good two stone to get there.
I’ve lost 5 of the 7 lbs that I put on whilst away- taken just over a week, so that’s a positive step in the right direction and hopefully will continue as life albeit summer holidays continues. I really want my graph to go back to the nice downwards curve it had before 😬

myladyjane · 06/08/2025 12:48

interesting re the seasonal colours. I had a f2f house of colour about 10 years ago that put me as a bright spring but I think my skin tone has cooled somewhat. I was always fairly neutral anyway but high contrast. Now the contrast seems less intense and ChatGPT had me as a summer the other day. I certainly seem to suit warmer tones less well (like chocolate brown that used to be really good for me). I am looking to build my intentional wardrobe up on a tonal basis rather than a seasonal one I think.

now, has anyone had hair thinning issues? I am shedding a lot of hair at the moment and I’m not sure if mj or perimenopause or just awful shampoo which upset my scalp. Am talking collagen and biotin already.

PenelopePerseveres · 06/08/2025 13:43

Hi everyone, lovely to read everyone’s updates. I’ve never done my colours, something on the list to do.

@myladyjane I think I’m ok in the hair dept. I bet it will be a temporary thing. I seem to remember something on the Ouskh website about it. I’ll see if I can find it.

Pleased to report a smidge of a downward trend here on 7.5mg. Nutracheck tells me I’ve now lost 2st 9.5lbs which feels ok, a huge improvement to me sticking at a 2 stone loss for almost two months. Feeling ok on 7.5mg which is good.

PenelopePerseveres · 06/08/2025 13:45

From Oushk @myladyjane , I suspect you already know this.

myladyjane · 06/08/2025 14:19

Ah thank you @PenelopePerseveres. I suspect it’s a combination in my case - I haven’t lost particularly fast but I suspect my nutrition could do with a boost plus stressy few months and peri. Luckily I have a lot of hair so it doesn’t show massively. Hopefully it will come back and tbh perhaps time for a bit more of a sharper cut may help - my last was a nightmare which isn’t like my hairdresser usually, she’s good.

RockyisMYRhino · 07/08/2025 07:00

Sorry I haven’t been around much the last week or so but have been run off my feet looking after DH making sure he has the painkillers he needs and that he’s doing the exercises sent to him by the physio etc and looking after my two DS and planning the last bits of a birthday party for one of them for next week and deep cleaning the house ready for an inspection from the landlord. Think if the world stopped spinning on its own I could keep it going at the moment!!! Haven’t had a chance to get to the gym at all for nearly a month with all this going on as well as suffering a horrid cold beforehand but desperately need to get back and have some time to do something for myself soon!
Weigh in and jab day here and somehow I’m down another 1lb which is nothing short of a miracle as I’ve barely had time to make sure I eat and even less to make sure it’s something healthy!
SW: 15st 1lb
CW: 12st 10lb
GW: 10st 7lb
NSV for the week: buying and fitting into size 14 denim shorts/jeans from two different supermarkets! 😁

PenelopePerseveres · 07/08/2025 07:30

Morning @RockyisMYRhino you sound like you are very stretched. I hope your DH is doing well. What a shame you’re having to deal with a landlord inspection in the middle of all that. Hopefully you will get some time to yourself once that’s out of the way and you’ve celebrated your DC’s birthday.

Well done on your loss 🏆.

I seem to be feeling ok on 7.5mg. Weight down again this morning. Chuffed tbh. I might go away this weekend, I’ll probably bring my jab forward a day if I do.

meatyryvita · 07/08/2025 07:30

Morning losers! A blip today in that I’ve somehow put on a pound. Whether it’s not enough water (possible), late payment for lots of baguette during my holidays, or due to whatever else the universe has decided, I know it’s a blip. I’m still in the 11’s and so onward and downward.

SW 15.10
CW 11.13.9
GW 9.10

Have a fab day losers!

@RockyisMYRhino what a tough time you’re having - wishing you calm in the near future!

I've given myself a new final goal right in the middle of my bmi and two interim goals. I am a healthy weight now though so, I will stop if I feel its right before the goal.
Thinking about maintenance now and wanting to use the next few weeks to ensure I am embedding my healthy lifestyle.
Good luck to everyone weighing and jabbing xxx

BreezyPeer · 07/08/2025 07:48

@meatyryvita 11s is great! I feel proud to join you there 😀
@RockyisMYRhino I hope you are all doing ok? Is there anyone who can help? Sounds like a lot on your shoulders and a 1lb loss too! That's multitasking to the extreme 😎
@PenelopePerseveres glad 7.5 is going OK for you and a loss is great! Hope you have a great weekend whether you go away or stay home xx

DGonMJ · 07/08/2025 07:49

Morning all
Glad to hear you’re surviving and still losing @RockyisMYRhino and DH is out the other side.

@myladyjane my hair started thinning before MJ, it’s not improved with the collagen but hopefully not much worse.

@PenelopePerseveres glad you’re feeling good on 7.5mg hope your appetite has returned from the 500 calorie day.

I’m on my period this week, which could explain the increased appetite last week. I have a bit more suppression this week, and feel like I’ve been eating too much, haven’t been able to finish all my meals.
I’m on a new pen, so wondering how much is to do with that vs being on week 1 of my cycle.
Still on 3 meals a day, still averaging 1750 cals or more. Down to 59.1kg from the weekend’s 59.6kg. I think that’s my uterus emptied. Last month my post-period weight was 58.8kg/21.5BMI which worried me as it’s much lower than I want to be. But all good now. As long as I don’t go lower, I’m going to stick to 3.33mg this weekend.

DGonMJ · 07/08/2025 07:58

Well done @BreezyPeer - sounds like a sensible plan, especially giving yourself permission to stop losing more if you feel right. I’m at that point, I could lose more and still be within a healthy bmi but I’m happy where I am and I don’t think my cheekbones need to be any sharper!

I still have days where my belly is full and I ‘feel’ fat but I have to remind myself that a full belly is a privilege, it’s fine to have one at the end of the day, and it’s actually full of 0% Greek yoghurt and berries.

RockyisMYRhino · 07/08/2025 07:59

This is why I love this thread and you ladies so much! Thanks for the instant support - it makes everything seem so much easier when other people (even those you don’t actually know) are there for you! We don’t really have anyone who can help us out much - my parents are no longer here and my family are at least 45 minutes away and don’t drive so I’d still have to deal with logistics of ferrying people around. MIL is fantastic and looking after DC when needed for DHs various appointments but I don’t like to put upon her too much as she is in her late 70s and the boys are pretty energetic!!! I’m going to try and look after myself a bit better this week now DH is a bit more with it and not knocked out by painkillers all the time. First on the list is to make sure I drink enough water and get some proper food into me at least once a day. Then, if I can work out how to do it, to get my big bum back into the gym at least once, preferably twice.
