New thread for anyone with more than 5 stone/30kg to lose. All welcome, whichever part of the journey you're on.

We have kiwis, hammocks, weight loss charts, an unhealthy obsession with Vinted and enough water to sink several ships 😊

No discount codes please - there's a separate thread for those.

Hi everyone! I forgot to update last weekend as was so busy! And for a very good reason, I got married! 😍 I felt amazing being nearly 5 and a half stone lighter. Only down side was my dress had got a little loose since my final fitting even though I had tried to maintain my weight and not lose too much more before the wedding, so a lot of emergency pinning and taping was involved 🤣

Last weeks results:
Highest weight - 16st 9.5
Mounjaro SW on 15.2.25 - 14st 12
CW - 11st 3 (27.7.25)

Loss this week: 2 lb
Total loss on Mounjaro: 51 lbs (3st 9)
Total loss overall: 76.5 lbs (5st 6.5)

QueenOfHiraeth · 01/08/2025 23:13

@Mounjaronewbie25 Congratulations! Lovely news! Glad you had a wonderful day and I think we can forgive you for the lack of update Grin

Congratulations @Mounjaronewbie25 !

I’m having a browse of the sales for a killer dress for a wedding in October. I reckon I might be a size 16 by then. I’m so overwhelmed, there is so much more choice at a 16 than a 24, I don’t even know where to start!

Amarajean · 02/08/2025 00:02

Congratulations @Mounjaronewbie25 ,so happy for you and well done on your weight loss that's amazing!!
I'm still in double figures and now down to 98kg, I can't see the weight loss myself, but a friend I've not seen for months was shocked by my loss (total loss 23kg),
I'm so pleased with myself! It's so lovely and inspiring reading everybody's losses, well done you lovely lot¡!

akaFrosty · 02/08/2025 07:50

@Mounjaronewbie25 Congratulations, and well done on your weight loss. I hope you felt incredible on your big day.

Not doing so well at the moment - 10 mg is doing nothing for me and I’ve totally gone off the boil…. Eating everything and no suppression. Cant be arsed to weigh or anything. Not sure what’s up with me.

I’ve got 2 more doses in my current pen. I’ll order 12.5mg next and see how that goes.

One massive NSV is that today we went to Thorpe Park I fit on all the rides. This time last year I had to get off a ride at Chessington as the safety harness wouldn’t shut I was so fat!

It's so frustrating isn't it? I've been plateauing more than I've been losing too. But I see so many people say just keep going, as things start moving eventually.

I'm trying to keep the water/protein/fibre going even when nothing else is going well.

Also that's an amazing NSV!

alltablenochairs · 02/08/2025 08:43

A slightly weird observation since starting mj but my spice tolerance seems to have increased. I dont like red hot food bit I do like a bit of warmth in my food. DH ordered a takeaway last night and I tried some of his sauce. It was surprisingly nice. Ditto the Nandos medium I had the other day

Not that impressed with Simple Online Pharmacy though. Despite ordering before 9am Thurs and them having a next day delivery guarantee they didn't dispatch my parcel until yesterday after I chased it up. Hmmmm. I use them though because they use DPD. Royal Mail are anything but reliable here. Does anyone else use a provider that uses DPD?

Congratulations @Mounjaronewbie25 !!! Am currently in a caravan with no wifi and my emojis won't load - but there would be lots of smiley faces and hearts if I could!

@QueenOfHiraeth AI narrator perhaps? Makes me furious, but don't get me started. 😁

Congratulations, @Mounjaronewbie25 !! 🍾 👏🎉A slightly loose dress seems like the best downside you could have really. I hope you had a wonderful wedding day.

I have finally crossed into onederland! And hit three stone (and a quarter pound)

SW (24th March) 17st 4
CW 14st 3.75 (199.75lbs!!)
GW 11-12st

Total loss so far: 42.25lbs

gimmemounjaro · 02/08/2025 08:59

Congratulations! @Mounjaronewbie25 🎉🎊🎉

gimmemounjaro · 02/08/2025 09:12

Weigh day for me

SW: 241.2 / 17st 3 / BMI 35.6
CW: 157.8 / 11st 4 / BMI 23.3
GW: 150.0 / 10st 10 / BMI 22.2

This week - 1.3 lbs
Total loss 83.4 lbs / 5st 13

A pound off 6st loss and half a stone to goal…

Having spent months on 10mg, I’m starting to reduce, currently on 8.3mg with no discernible effect. Life is extremely stressful right now so I really need to be careful not to go back to old ways of managing emotion. A year ago I would have been armpit deep in beef hula hoops and chocolate hobnobs by now. Instead I am going on a hike with an apple and a protein bar. But it’s not easy to stay focused at the moment.

Zebracat · 02/08/2025 09:25

How lovely @Mounjaronewbie25 🫶🏻. @GiveMeWordGames well done to you, I hope to be joining you in Onederland next week, I am 91.1 kilos, so about a pound away. I seem to have found my sweet spot on 7.5, much better suppression and manageable side effects- I would be constipated if my fig tree wasn’t currently producing copious fruit!
I had a weird moment this week, trying on some new yoga trousers to replace the ones that fell off on a dog walk. I found some that fit beautifully, but I couldn’t believe it was my bottom half inside them, really disconcerting. I bought them though, I’ll look so out of place at Tai Chi where everyone wears any old loose clothing, but I’m too worried about tripping over to do that. I’m planning to start Pilates soon, though and they will work for that.

A fantastic change💪🏻 instead of munching the hula hoops you have an apple and walk 💪🏻.

It shows the impact of MJ giving us the space to make different choices and change habits ❤️

Thank you @InfoSecInTheCity, I’ll try to be more patient with the jowly bits. I might add a bit of facial massage to my skin care routine - can’t hurt!

Congratulations @Mounjaronewbie25🎊

8 stone 3lb !!! You have lost the weight of my daughter @WeAllHaveWings amazing 👏🏻

EternalFatalist · 02/08/2025 17:36

Congratulations @Mounjaronewbie25! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness. 🥰

I found my wedding dress from 25 years ago while I was poking around some stuff that we have in storage. It's a slinky form-fitting dress (we had a beach wedding) and I decided to try it on. It fit! It was slightly tight across my tummy, but once I lose another few lbs, it will be fine. I almost started to cry. I was in good shape when we got married and it's miraculous that I am not far away from being back to my old self.

I look at my ds(22)'s tiny gf sometimes and think she must weight around that too!

Both amazing and slightly terrifying I have lost the weight of a whole, albeit little, person! 🤣

Evenstar · 02/08/2025 19:56

Another kilo off me this morning, but I had a dreadful stomach this week and went from unable to go to the loo on Monday to diarrhoea and nausea on Thursday and just generally felt off and nauseous. Unsure if it was the Mounjaro or a bug as I have been on 12.5 for a few months now.

I am probably the lightest I have been for at least 15 years and very close at 100.5kg to getting under the 100kg mark.

Edited to add that we went for afternoon tea today to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a lovely NSV of fitting comfortably into a wicker chair with arms that would have been too small before ☺️

Sam187 · 02/08/2025 21:18

Hey all, your losses are incredible. Totally keeps me motivated to carry on.

I'm W9D6 but jabbing a day early this eve as we're driving from Glasgow to Cornwall tomorrow and don't fancy a) taking it with me and b) taking it just before going.

I'm currently 25lbs down and starting to notice my hoodies and jeans getting looser. Today had another NSV, in May I was measured as my bras were totally unsupportive. I was 42D with a back extender and totally disheartened. The biggest bra size I had been yet. I got measured again today and I'm a 38F. Down almost 2/3 back sizes. Very happy.

Still having everything in moderation. Less alcohol but a couple of glasses at the weekend here and there, eating out once a week or a takeaway, but much smaller portions. Feeling really good to be able to do it and maintain some normality. Still at 3.75mg and have 2 holidays coming up so will stick to that for now.

QueenOfHiraeth · 02/08/2025 21:47

@alltablenochairs I recently switched to SwiftDoctor who have been excellent so far and have a DPD or Royal Mail option. They are also very reasonably priced

Sam187 · 02/08/2025 22:14

@alltablenochairs I went with IQ doctor this month and that was much cheaper and delivered by DPD

Darlinghag · 03/08/2025 11:51

Hello folks! happy Sunday.

i need to catch up on the last few pages. This week has been chaotic but…
lost 2.3lbs over the last two weeks! That makes my weight 13st 4.8lbs. I’m two weeks away from my 1 year jab-iversary, and while I’m not likely to get to 13st, I might get close!

Some things of note/NSVs:

  • when i sit in the car/at a bench etc, i can rest something in my lap with plenty room, which is a tiny thing but so meaningful!!
  • loose skin on my chin has tightened up a little - which is nice, but hopefully it will go a little further! On chins, my pcos chin hair has always been super thick, and i often shaved just because it was too much effort for plucking, but with one chin now, i have switched to tweezing and i think my lower weight has reduced the hair, and its far easier with less fat!! Its been a massive confidence boost!
  • my thighs remain like a melted candle - and i’ve lost enough weight to see i have varicose veins 🤮 i can also see tendons and muscles in my legs that fat smothered before!
  • i still can’t believe how much there is to go too - i really thought by this weight i’d be a size 12-14 and feel like i was close. Its fine, not overwhelming or bad, but i just have had to realign my expectations on what i look like at this weight!
  • i am approximately 7lbs away from my lowest ever adult weight. I was at this the day of an operation, where i was do poorly, my mental health on the floor, and now i will be there soon, under so much better circumstances.
  • my style is all over the place. Literally cannot figure out who i am anymore!! Off to hunt for a dress this afternoon, in person!!! Its still a novelty to walk into a shop and try a 16 on in most places and have it fit!!
