@Mumble12 maybe email them and ask for it to be sent to you if they still have

it would it be in cloud or google pics ? Mine automatically save there

I hate my starting pics but also I love them now for the comparison and makes me reliese how far I have come

@Blondeshavemorefun that is an amazing transformation

MummyInTheNecropolis · 18/07/2025 18:50

Wow @Blondeshavemorefun you look fantastic! Congratulations!

I also hate my starting photo but I’m so glad I kept it - I don’t really see the weight loss as much when I look in the mirror but can really see it when I compare photos.

You look fab! I’ve looked in my deleted ones but it isn’t in there either, no idea how to check iCloud. I have actually found one in my pants from a week after starting but I’m not sure anyone wants to see that 😂

worth emailing them though, great idea!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/07/2025 19:39

Thank you @GnomeDePlume and @mumble@MummyInTheNecropolis that’s how I feel. Obv I know I’ve lost weight but I still see myself as fat at times

then see the diff in the photos and makes me reliese

I’ve lost hips. Boobs - bum and Tum

TidyWasp · 18/07/2025 19:59

@Mumble12 congratulations on the dress, you look great!

@Blondeshavemorefun wow, you look fantastic! Well done!

PearlsPearl · 18/07/2025 20:23

So I haven’t pooped for a whole week now 😣 and we’re away for the weekend and not back til Monday so I can’t just take meds and let it happen til then.

Hecatoncheires · 18/07/2025 21:07

Good evening to you! May I please join in the don't-want-to-be-fat-any-more fun? I've been reading everyone's stories for a while and took the plunge at last - my mounjaro starter kit arrives next Mon/Tues.

By way of intro, I'm mid-50s and utterly sick of being so huge. My joints ache, I look enormous in my unfashionable clothes, I sweat like melting pork fat in this heat, I've got skin tags forming on my neck from fat-friction, I get out of breath walking up even a couple of flights of stairs and I worry about the damage I'm doing to my health. If I counted up the number of stone I've gained/lost over the years then it would easily be in the hundreds. I'm a terrible emotional eater and I want to get myself under some kind of control before I spiral upwards any further beyond my current size 26 frame. I have 10 stone to lose. Thank goodness for anonymity on here because this is painfully humiliating to admit.

On the positive side, I'm lots of fun at a party, have a cracking imagination and would be the first to do you a favour. If my fat arse can be bothered!! 😆

Onenotsosmallstep · 18/07/2025 21:24

Another Friday weigher here and a bit of a ‘whoosh’ this week. Week 17, 5.5lbs off (must have been retaining water in the heat last week) total loss I can’t quite believe it but 4st 2lbs. Still 9 stone to go to a healthy BMI though.

We had an informal management team meeting yesterday, 6 women all in their 40s and 50s. 3 of us currently on Mounjaro and 1 maintaining having lost 5 stone. I’m starting to think it’s much more commonplace than people think.

PositiveAttitude · 18/07/2025 22:29

Welcome @Hecatoncheires. I am a newbie here too.
There is no shame or embassment here because we are all in the same boat, or have been. This is definitely the best place for you to be. Everyone is lovely and will cheer you on and cheer you up when needed.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 18/07/2025 23:17

Hello @Hecatoncheires you're very welcome!

Hecatoncheires · 19/07/2025 03:45

Thanks for the welcome! I’m excited but nervous to get going. My DH has a friend who’s lost 4 stone with MJ since February and the chap has passed on some starting tips. Ridiculous though this may sound, I’m off to see Lady Gaga at the end of September and I’m hoping to lose a couple of stone by then as right now I worry I’d not enjoy it to the full with my aching joints. We’ll see!

GnomeDePlume · 19/07/2025 05:37

@Hecatoncheires welcome!

With 10 stone or more to lose weight we all know it is going to be a long journey.

It isn't all about the final goal weight. There will be lots of NSVs (non scale victories) to celebrate along the way.

Lds1 · 19/07/2025 07:58

This is the bast I could do for photos but it's not a direct comparison, I've tried to anonymise as much as possible. I don't really have a flower head 😀

I'm feeling a bit flat at the moment (emotionally, I mean, my stomach definitely isn't flat!). I'm only a couple of months in but was really pleased, consistently averaging a loss of 2.5lb a week. But I've just taken my 3rd jab since moving up to 5mg and since moving up my weight loss has pretty much stalled, in fact I've put on weight. Nothing else has changed (I'm eating as I was early on) and suppression is good so it's a bit disappointing. I know there will be losses and gains but it's just made me worry this might not work. 3 weeks ago I was tantalisingly close to being 'in the teens' but now I'm back to 20st 4lb. Plus I'd ordered a 2nd pen at 5mg and am now wondering if I should have gone up (or even back down).

To add to my grumbly mood my (free) shotsy app seems to have done an update overnight and now the results graph isn't displaying as it was before (nothing is 'clickable' so it's hard to accurately read previous weights from the graph). What other apps/tracking methods do others use?

TidyWasp · 19/07/2025 08:42

@Lds1 well done, you look fabulous! I love that dress!

@Hecatoncheires welcome! Best of luck with getting started, I'm sure you'll smash it 😊

Having seen someone earlier on this thread recommend it I use Happy Scale. It’s great because it averages weight over the week so evens out fluctuations and can help you ‘forecast’ ahead based on your commitment loss (ie. How much you think you can lose a week), current average loss per week and overall loss per week,

TragicMuse · 19/07/2025 10:22

Week 21, 7.5mg

SW 19st 4lbs (Jan 2025, pre-MJ)
SW on MJ 18st 8lbs (1 Mar 2025)
CW 15st 12.75lbs
Loss this week 1.5lb
Total loss 46.25lbs

Interim GW (set by Nutracheck!) 15st 8lbs

I’ve been yo-yoing this week, two days ago is apparently gained half a stone overnight. I’m fairly sure I hadn’t! But still. I’m in the 15s and very pleased about that.

I’m going to Latitude on Wednesday (working/volunteering with a small charity I support) so won’t have my scales. We do a lot of walking, carting kit around and then standing and working our tent. The crew camping is UP A HILL! And we do a fair bit of dancing. It will be easier this year having lost over 3 stone - I can already feel the difference in my joints! I’m hoping I can STS, preferably not gain. I don’t drink loads and have a friendly crew-mate who is always happy to accept any food!

Straight after that I’m on actual holiday which will be fun. I am taking my scales (it’s not quite as weird as it sounds, we’re visiting my mum!) and she has lots of stairs.

FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping · 19/07/2025 10:27

Has anyone done Couch 2 5K or similar? I’ve decided to have a go at None 2 Run which is meant to be even more easier for the overweight total beginner. Did the first “run” (2 minutes walking and 30 second very slow jogging alternated for 20 minutes) last night.

I have a walking treadmill and the very top speed is just about slow jogging pace so I did it on that as I’m not brave enough to go outside (and it was hot!). I think I’m going to join the nearby Pure Gym and use their proper treadmills as well for a bit until I get marginally more confident.

SilenceInside · 19/07/2025 10:40

@FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping I have just finished the Couch to 5K programme a couple of weeks ago. I felt I needed to increase my exercise beyond the lots of additional walking that I had been doing, but didn't want to start running until I was happy that my weight wasn't going to bugger my knees. I was around 13st 13lbs ish when I started.

I did all of it on treadmills, haven't been brave enough to run outside as yet. I used the hotel gym treadmills when I was on holiday in May, which was nerve wracking but I managed it. I was pleasantly surprised to see a range of body types in the gym and no one batted an eyelid at me.

I haven't heard of None 2 Run but it sounds like a good programme too.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 19/07/2025 11:49

I’m doing couch to 5k, I’m currently on week 6. Found it so hard at first but I’m loving it now. I’ve done all of it outside in the park. I’m still just under 17 stone but haven’t had any aches or pains from it, I do make sure to stretch and do a proper warm up and warm down.

TragicMuse · 19/07/2025 13:48

I have a clothes NSV!

Just bought a second-hand Whistles top. It’s a large. No x in sight! And with my jeans it doesn’t look horrendous. I feel quite cheered.

afaloren · 19/07/2025 14:12

I’m going through my wardrobe. I’ve such a mix of sizes in there, some too small which I am moving so I don’t have to scroll sadly past them when I am getting dressed, and some really now too big which I am splitting into a pile for charity and a pile for Vinted. I’ve found it’s important to go through clothes regularly so you don’t miss things on the way down!

It’s tops mostly. My bottom half takes a long time to shrink.
