i am so delighted that scales say 10 something this morning for first time in years. I am on 7.5 2nd dose and have serious suppression and no SE. I will be finishing this pen and then going to 2.5 and stay there for a while to see can I get to goal and maintain.

I have had sprained ankle the past week and couldn’t exercise but ready to do some swimming, golf or gym work now. I can’t believe how easy this has been.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Hi all, been reading but not posting as has been a bit crazy here. Congrats to all losers, people seem to be doing really well, and hugs to those going through tricky situations and difficult stuff.

One of my cats went missing last Friday, so have been trying to find her, and distracting myself by decorating one of the downstairs rooms. She is usually such a home body, so it has been a really worrying time. Decorating is coming along ok though.

Weightloss stalled for a while, like so many have, but seems to be going in the right direction again now. I've only lost 6.5kg, which seems very small compared to others who started at the same time as me, but side effects meant I had to keep my dose low and only increase upwards very slowly - am still only on 3.75mg split into 2 doses a week, despite starting on 21st May. I have only really had suppression in week 2 and this week when I went up from 3.5, though food noise has been relatively minimal.

I do have a lot to lose, so am hoping that super slow will work in my favour and give me time to adjust to my new weight as I've not been less than a size 16 since I was a young teenager. I have no adult memories of being slim, so it is going to be hard to adjust to a different sized me, I think!

Week 8 update - after staying the same this week, I had a 3lb loss this morning which was surprising. I’m now 2lb away from losing 1 and a half stone which my original target was.

I’ve been deliberating whether to ask to go up to 5mg for my next pen, I’m really torn as what to do. I’ve been happy with my progress so far so part of me doesn’t want to rock the boat but I have noticed I can eat more than I used too. I’m still making better food choices which is the main thing.

W2: -3lb
W3: -2lb
W4: -3lb
W5: -2lb
W6: -2lb
W7: stayed the same
W8: -3lb

Last day of packing: our wardrobes and the kitchen. I'm already out of breath 😆 if I've not lost weight this week I will be very loud about the injustice!
My wardrobe is a walk-in cupboard and at the back is a tower of big plastic boxes that hold all my size 10-12 clothes. It'll be nice to say a brief hello to them!

Hello 👋 to anyone who remembers me, and well done to all the losers!
Haven’t kept up with the thread over the last few days, but now “back in the room”- well, back at home anyway .
Just ordered my pen, due to the 5 weeks away will be the 2.5mg dose . Asda wanted me to enter current weight - was 6lbs up from my last weigh in on 6 June.
Had to use our (unreliable) bathroom scales today instead of the local pharmacy ones I’ve used on my “weight loss journey” (horrid phrase!) , so not sure how accurate the gain is.
Bit of a PITA, felt I had been sensible with food choices but didn’t do anywhere as near as much walking as I’d intended - the heat didn’t help ,but it is what it is .
Pen can be collected from Asda pharmacy from next Weds - kicking myself now for not ordering whilst we were away, another good intention that didn’t happen 🙄.
So the plan is to see what WW can offer me to join up, and work my way through the protein and salad-heavy Tesco delivery that was here 8.10am this morning, bless their hearts!
Onwards and downwards (again …..). 🤞

Thanks , @SussexLass87 and @Gingercar - it’s good to finally be home , though I was hoping for cooler weather than this - very sticky in the wild, Wild West of England today 🥵.
Think my body clock is still two hours ahead - was wide awake at 4.45am but flagging now.
Unfortunately an afternoon nap with the air con and ceiling fan is no longer an option !

Been struggling with overeating for the past couple of days. Bacon sandwiches for lunch, chocolate mousse and plenty of crisps!

Midway through a pen but think it's probably time to move up to 5mg.
Might try 3.75mg to avoid side effects. Jabbed yesterday so just starting to have sulphurous burps 🤢

Houseful of hungry teens atm, so cooking big meals every night doesn't help 😳

Hello all. I've totally plateaued the last two weeks and am now at 10.1 so the magic 9s have not appeared.

No side effects at all this week so going to creep up to 3mg tomorrow and see how I go.

I think I have 3 doses left in my 5mg pen and go on holiday on 1 August for a week. Think I will take a dose before I go to keep me on the straight and narrow while I'm away!

Mind you my tolerance for alcohol must be at an all time low. I've only had one glass of wine since 1 May!

welcome back @ElsieJay that went fast from here!!! I echo what everyone else said that 6lb gain for a long holiday is pretty good going!! I’ve been known to put 7lb on in a week away in days gone by!! 😱

@DidILeaveTheGasOn i hear you!! But a year down the line I promise it is worth it!!! One more big stressful day tomorrow then you’re on the downward slide of unpacking which is much more fulfilling !! Just don’t do what I did and forget to register for council tax!!! That stung by the time I realised!!! 🫣

had a strange week this week the emotional drive to eat has been scarily strong this week and I have not made as good choices as I was. However, I’m trying (desperately) to not berate myself as I think peaks & troughs are natural it’s just scary after so many years of habitually falling off the wagon!!

anyway after resisting my favourite Chinese all week I have decided to have it tonight and then try & move on tomorrow by doing a big workout and going up to 7.5mg!!

anyone else get a little overwhelmed about how much is still to loose!?!?!

Thanks, @dc82 and @Seahorsesplendour - I’ve certainly had bigger gains in the past over a shorter period of time , just a bit disappointed in myself I think .
Phases 1 and 2 are complete - new 2.5 pen on order, and have joined WW .
Lucky to have a class fairly near home, there don’t seem to be many of them nowadays .
First one is tomorrow ,which again is fortunate as Friday used to be my weighing day at the little local pharmacy.
Will be interesting to see what I weigh on the class scales, would imagine they’re accurate and reliable .

Yes with blueberries and strawberries (not the pine nuts, I have chia with the yoghurt, with sunflower and pumpkin seeds). And I often have a salad for lunch with pine nuts, sunflower and pumpkin seed thrown in. I’ve even put them in butternut soup with chunks of feta. I think I’m a little bit addicted! But I love them, and I’m veggie so it bumps my protein up.

So I enjoyed my Chinese which I was glad about as it’s been my occasional comfort treat for pretty much my whole adult life!!

i managed about a quarter of what I would have eaten pre MJ which looked like a lot!! It blows my mind when I have the occasional realisation of how much I actually ate before!!!

surely once at target (8 st down from starting wt) as wean down MJ my stomach will have shrunk so much that hunger won’t be like it was before!?!

have changed the vast majority of my eating habits so am also hoping that will stick plus exercise.

I’m glad I’ve had it tonight and will freeze the rest in portions so can enjoy another 3 meals over time 😂 much more value for money!!!

I think it’s got to be ok to have some treats - I definitely can’t be good all the time!!

that's what is making this journey different my usual pattern would be … takeaway … oh I’ve messed it up now so what’s the point and on more weight would go!

@Gingercar thanks! I’m vegan and also struggle to hit the high protein numbers -going to try adding more seeds in too

@Seahorsesplendour I also caved and had some takeaway last night! Same as you, I couldn’t manage as much as normal, but was tasty. I don’t feel guilty. I think we have to be able to enjoy a treat every now and again right?!

@DidILeaveTheGasOn moving is the worst. Hang onto the “it’ll be worth it when it’s done” mantra! I’ve still a heap of boxes I never unpacked when I last moved 🫣

Weigh day and 1lb off which is less than my normal 2lb, but I'm due on tomorrow and we've eaten out 4 times this week dunno various birthdays and meetups. Pre MJ that would have meant a massive gain so I'm happy with that!

Anyone else struggling to excercise? I really struggle with lethergy on MJ. Im managing my x1 body pump class a week, but as regards to my running, I'm soooo tired. I can barely stay awake past 9 and sleeping like a log. I'm definately getting enough protien.
Before I started MJ I ran 2-3 times a week and now I can barely walk the dog for 15 minutes (we have a very lazy greyhound).
I'm hoping that as I get to target and wean off, my energy will return. Ill have to re start C25K though! Boo!
