Just out of curiosity, what is everyone using to decide on their kcals for the day?
Also, where is everyone getting 3l of water as their recommendation?

I’m feeling very nervous. Yesterday was my last day of jab1(took no2 last night) Suppression was starting to wane significantly yesterday but I coped. Took dose 2 last night and I’ve woken up this morning feeling exactly the same as yesterday. DH is cooking bacon sandwiches for him and the kids and it’s driving me crazy (even though I don’t eat pork) 🤷‍♀️ I’m flooded with food noise and now wondering if it didn’t work second time. I haven’t bruised this time and some liquid trickled down my leg. I just stored my own on my dresser (out of sunlight) Maybe I should have kept it in the fridge. I hope I haven’t spoilt the pen. Anyone else felt this way on W2D1?

Nerdippy · 15/06/2025 10:26

@ThisNeedsToWork Yes, me! Also took my second jab yesterday and has had no effect on me whatsoever. Still eating normally and have lost minimal weight, so I'll see how it goes for the rest of the week. No trickling down my leg and my pen is in the fridge.

cdrn · 15/06/2025 10:28

I thought the one needed to be kept in the fridge?

RatherTardy · 15/06/2025 10:30

@dietstartstmoz
Hi
I'm on W1D5 and I go away at the end of July.
Atm, it's working well for me, so if the next 3 weeks are the same I'll keep to the starter dose next month too. If not, I'll have to go up.
Am planning to take pen in my suitcase.

Desperately hoping to be a stone down by then (over 5 weeks, so everything is crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻. If not a stone, a good way towards, hopefully)

3 litres was mentioned by someone on here but I've definitely read advice to aim for 2 litres, so I don't think there's a hard and fast rule.

SomethingFun · 15/06/2025 10:35

W1D4 I’ve lost 2 pounds which I’m very pleased with. I think it took a day or so to kick in for me. I feel really full and it feels when I eat like I’ve already eaten a massive meal and I’m trying to stuff in more on top. I’ve done my shopping for the week and I’ve got lots of protein and veg in so I’m going to do some meal prep today.

What’s really nice is that because dh is doing it too, we don’t have loads of choc and treats in for Father’s Day as he doesn’t want them. And we’re going out for an event today rather than a meal or having a big meal at home. I think it’s so nice to see my family doing treats that don’t revolve around food 😊

Shwingbada · 15/06/2025 10:36

@ThisNeedsToWork it takes a couple of days to get to its full potency in the body. The pen can be kept out of the fridge once used, and is good for 30 days, so I'm sure it will be fine. If you're on 2.5 still then it's not considered a therapeutic dose, so I think all the positive effects aren't a given at this point.

BadgerFace · 15/06/2025 11:00

Tinybirdie · 15/06/2025 09:06

I've decided on 5mg. I'd then have the option to do 2.5, 3.75 or 5mg by adjusting the clicks. And the price increase is marginal

Thanks @Tinybirdie I think this is what I am going to do as well. Phew, decision made!

onceuponatimeinneverland · 15/06/2025 11:13

I've posted before about struggling with water intake. I've purchased a 2l graduated water bottle to see if the visibility helps. Well I can report it seems to be working, although it is only day 1. I've had 750ml already this morning, when my usual is struggling to do that in the whole day. I'm attaching a picture of my normal bottle and my new. It's chunky and I wouldn't like to have to cart it about so will use my smaller one for outings.

Trying to decide whether to start today or not. Trouble is that I have an full afternoon tea coming up with a friend in a week's time and don't want too many questions if I don't eat much of it.
Your thoughts please.

Thornrose · 15/06/2025 11:32

I have had a bit of a side effect this morning I think! I went out for breakfast and suddenly felt very light headed and dizzy.

I then panicked a bit and it turned into a minor "panic attack". I do suffer from this occasionally anyway, so not a new thing.

I also have fizzy burps but that's not a big deal.

I have been really anxious about this whole thing and haven't told anyone in real life. Thank goodness I have this group.

I'm back home now, drinking lots of water.

I found week 2 didn't 'feel' the same and my average calories were higher than the first week. However, I did lose weight and didn't go overboard with the eating. I took jab 3 friday evening and I went to a festival yesterday and didn't feel the urge to buy anything for myself from the sweets and brownies truck when I went to get something for my children. I did have a bacon sarnie and worked it into my daily allowance. My husband bought himself a brownie and got me one too, he handed it to me and I had no desire to eat it! Gave it to the kids to share later on after we got home. I don't know if that was jab 3 in action or if I would have been the same week 2 but wasn't faced with the same opportunity.

Initially I was a little scared that I wasn't completely surpressed but actually, this feels like a nice way to get into healthy habits without completely depending on the jab to do all the work for me. I'm sticking with 2.5 for another month.

Hey everyone, I get my pens from my doctor , I ordered a 5mg pen because I decided to go up a pen and ordered a week early ahead of my last dose of 2.5 next week but another 2.5mg pen was delivered Friday night by my local pharmacy so too late to ring docs and query why it's not a 5mg sooo , what would you do ? I have a holiday coming up I'm going abroad mid July so would you stay on the 2.5mg for another month or would you ring doc Monday and try and change the pen to a 5,mg pen ? Thanks 🙏

I'm a little ahead of you and have had 4 weigh ins.Week 2 was my worst.....I managed to lose 1lb that week.4 weeks altogether for me and I have lost 7.5 lbs. I'm happy with that.
Crack on and don't lose heart!

Can I ask where you are getting your supplies from? I just checked online and Simple Online Pharmacy is going to cost £143 when I go to 5mg. I know a few pharmacies are having problems getting stock. I don't think chopping and changing due to this and also going thru the screening process again with all the checks is a good idea but..... 🫣 I paid £113.63 for 2.5mg. I understand it costs, but I am ordering twice a month so I don't run out in case they are short. Anyone else ordering twice a month?

That’s a LOT cheaper than voy!

Seriestwo · 15/06/2025 12:20

I do my second jab tomorrow nad I think I’m 2.5lb down.

im disappointed. Which is silly, right?

I feel the same... But I'm w1d4 and haven't lost anything. I realised today that a lot of the big losses we are reading about are from people on super low calories 1200 and under. For me, I'm looking at sustainable weight loss and lifestyle change so until the suppression really kicks in I'm at 1800 kcals which would only render 1-2lbs a week.

Remember it's quite normal to not feel much suppression at 2.5mg and therefore be eating more.
I'm hoping the suppression kicks in quickly though! It's getting hot here and I'm not ready for summer clothes!!

healthjourney · 15/06/2025 12:40

@MtKiloMounjaro calorie wise I know everyone is different but I have used an online TDEE calculator to estimate my total maintenance energy needs. This also matches roughly to what I've seen with previous weight loss attempts. I am aiming for 2lb a week loss so I reduced this by 1000cal per day which gives me a personal target of 1200 calories per day. I am aiming for 80-100g protein within this which is a challenge but manageable with some planning. Love your username BTW 😆

CreepingCrone · 15/06/2025 12:41

W1D3 I'm feeling great! Bit bunged up but that will sort. I already drink 2.5litres of water a day, so I've swapped Yorkshire tea for ginger herbal, and it's all adding up. Perhaps placebo, but I'm definitely feeling suppressed and keep having protein yogurts I'm between "meals" to keep me going. Had a full on day running errands in the very hot sun on Friday, and felt very weak and headache. It was my own fault. I forced myself to rest, hydrate and eat fish and veggies. Felt much better afterwards. Went to the supermarket with my boyfriend yesterday. Usually I get distracted but all the delicious cakes, biscuits and cheese, but didn't have that at all. Was just focused on yogurts and protein porridge pots. I'm actually feeling really optimistic for a change 😁

@Sideorderofchips - Yes, I am feeling light headed when I get up every morning. Think it might be a blood pressure thing for me as although overweight, it's always been on the low side. It seems to pass once I've had something to drink.

@PuppyHerder @Sideorderofchips I did my first jab yesterday. I felt really light headed, swimmy feeling this morning. Led to me feeling a bit panicky, sounds silly I know!

Does it happen every morning for you. Have you found that anything in particular helps?

Thanks for this,I had forgotten about TDEE.

I think I need to go back to using MFP to log my food. and I need to eat a LOT more protein.

here’s a calculator for those who are about to google tdeecalculator.net/result.php?s=imperial&g=female&age=52&lbs=210&in=64&act=1.2&bf=35&f=2

Thanks, that's good to hear, hopefully just a one off for me too.

I'm exhausted today, feel as though my eyes are trying to close.
